Part 13- Ambush!
The party proceeded down a long, narrow hallway which seemed to be filled with some sort of fog... Thankfully said fog didn't seem to have any mind-altering properties, though the group was still tense as they slowly walked forward...
"We're very close. Kama's domain should just beyond this floor, I believe," Kiara spoke up.
"We must be prepared for anything," Tajima-no-kami stated.
"...Why do I get the feeling there's an ambush waiting just past those doors?" Kyon sighed. "With this narrow space there's literally no room to maneuver..."
Haruhi stopped in her tracks. "Kyon, your intuition is brilliant. Of course there's an ambush up ahead, possibly with an attack that can fill the whole hallway. Arcueid, you take the front. See if you can't make a stone wall or something in front of us when they attack."
"As you wish, Master," Archetype: Earth nodded, moving to the front of the party.
"Kama think she's so clever," Kiara snarked, "sending an attack dog to soften us up before moving in to finish us off. Exactly the same thing I did in SERAPH with Emiya Alter..."
"Koizumi, be ready to evac Kyon to you-know-where incase things start going sideways," Haruhi instructed.
"Certainly, Suzumiya-san," Koizumi nodded, moving to Kyon's other side.
"Don't you start holding my hand or something," Kyon snarked.
"Oh no, perish the thought," Koizumi retorted with a smile.
The party came to a stop about a yard or so from the doors. "All right, Kama, we know you've got an ambush waiting for us, so why don't you bring it out now?!" Haruhi called out.
"You think you're so clever, do you?" Kama's voice taunted from behind the doors. "Fine! Let's see how you deal with THIS! Alter Ego, attack!" The doors were suddenly splintered by four massive blades that shot forward- only to be stopped by a stone wall courtesy of Arcueid! But then another grouping of blades struck the rock, shattering it and piercing through the vampire's torso!
(Music- 'spinal sg coaster')
"Ahhhh!" cried a female voice, a woman with purple hair and massive breasts appearing from the darkness beyond the doorway, her eyes covered by a metal band!
"Shit! It's Passionlip! SCATTER!" Haruhi ordered, throwing out her arms, causing the walls of the narrow hallway to suddenly move far apart! The party did as ordered, Koizumi grabbing Kyon and vanishing into closed space! The controlled Alter Ego recalled her claws, before charging at Haruhi, who jumped and flipped over her easily! Lip then shot a claw at Ritsuka, who barely evaded by throwing himself to the floor!
"Oh my... looks like it's time for me to get serious." With that, Kiara suddenly threw off her nun's habit, revealing a pair of large pink horns and a skimpy white outfit, her groin barely covered by lacy pink panties, wearing long pink pantyhose over her legs! Passionlip apparently noticed this, firing her other claw at the former Beast, only for it to be deflected by several demon pillar tentacles! Kiara then charged forward, striking Lip with a palm strike to the face, then flash-stepping behind her and kicking her in the small of her back, sending her to the floor! However, she was forced to retreat as Lip called her claws back to her, attempting to slice the ex-Beast to pieces!
"My word... how do we fight something like that?!" Yagyu gasped in disbelief.
"You don't take her head-on, that's for sure!" Haruhi shot back.
"Parvati, try a long-range strike!" Ritsuka ordered.
"Right!" the goddess nodded, firing several bolts from her tuning fork- but Passionlip simply raised a claw to block the electricity! But the momentary distraction allowed Kiara to tag her with a flying kick, knocking her back a little! The controlled Lip shot out her other claw, but Kiara athletically flip-jumped out of harm's way!
"Arcueid, are you recovered yet?!" Haruhi called out.
"For the most part," Archetype: Earth grunted, standing straight again.
"Great! Try using your Marble Phantasm to restrain her claws!" the reality warper ordered- "Yikes!" she cried as a massive claw flew her way, only stopped by an invisible force-field! Then Lip fired her claw at Ritsuka again, but this time Yagyu and Parvati were there to intercept, barely holding it back with their weapons, allowing Ritsuka to scramble clear!
"Now's your chance, Moon Cancer!" Kiara yelled.
"Understood!" Archetype: Earth raised her arms, several chains suddenly erupting from the floor, binding down the claw that the other two servants were holding back!
"Ahh...? Ahhh!" Lip cried as she realized her one claw wasn't coming back. "Aaaahhhh!" She sent her other claw at the vampire, but it was blocked by another stone wall, before being chained down in a similar manner!
"Master, I can't hold these forever!" Archetype: Earth said as she held out her hands, strain visible on her face. "If you're going to do something, now would be the time!"
"I'm on it!" Haruhi replied, running at the literally-disarmed Alter Ego, doing a jump and flip, landing atop Passionlip, her knees resting on Lip's massive breasts. "Passionlip, by my command spell..." Her right hand gripped the metal blindfold. "WAKE UP!" A mark faded from her hand, Lip's blindfold glowing red, as Haruhi pulled hard- and it popped off! Lip cried out as she fell over backwards, Haruhi rolling off her!
(music fades out)
"Uuuugghh... (cough cough) H-huh? W... where am I...?" Passionlip blinked a few times, sitting up... "Huh? Where's my hands...?!"
"I think you can let go now, Arcueid," Haruhi sighed in relief.
"Yes, Master." The Ultimate One released the chains, allowing Lip to call her claws back to her body.
"Thank goodness, she's come to her senses," Parvati sighed as she dismissed her weapon, Yagyu silently sheathing his katana.
"Oh, hi Miss Parvati!" Lip waved happily. "And Master's here too! And..." Her eyes widened as she sensed a familiar presence, slowly turning... "AAAHHHH! What's Kiara doing here?!" She immediately assumed a battle stance!
"Whoa, whoa, easy!" Haruhi jumped in front of Kiara. "She's not the enemy this time! She was helping us stop you!"
"Huh...? Really?!" Lip asked, utterly confused.
"Haruhi's telling the truth," Ritsuka concurred. "Kiara's been helping us through this labyrinth. It's the other half of Beast III that's at fault here..."
"Other half?!" Lip gasped. "Wait... was that Beast the one controlling me this time?!"
"Indeed she was," Kiara affirmed. "I have to admit, I didn't expect her sending YOU of all people after us, though perhaps I should have... of course, that begs the question of where BB and the others are..."
"Kama's probably holding them hostage," Haruhi guessed. "After all, it was BB and Meltryllis that sent Kiara's plan down in flames last time... She wouldn't want to take any chances with those two, at least." Something then occurred to her. "Oh right... Kyon, Koizumi-kun, you can come back now!"
The two men promptly reappeared in a red flash. "Ah, I see you managed to stop Passionlip without killing her. Excellent work, Suzumiya-san," Koizumi nodded in satisfaction.
"Huh?! Oh no, I didn't hurt anyone, did I?!" Lip cried in near-panic.
"We had a few close calls, but no one was seriously hurt," Ritsuka assured her. "I think Arcueid got it the worst, but she can easily heal from serious wounds like that."
"Really...?" Lip turned to face the vampire... "Uh... you feel kind of like Mother, but not her at the same time..."
"That's probably because BB's not a vampire," Kyon snarked.
"V-vampire?!" Lip squeaked in shock. "Sh-she's not going to suck my blood, i-is she?!"
"I do not drink blood," Archetype: Earth crossed her arms in annoyance. "I don't need to."
"O-oh, really? Phew... But, what is she doing here? And where are we, anyway?"
"She's my newest servant," Haruhi explained. "As for where we are..." She and Ritsuka proceeded to recount what had transpired so far, Kiara putting in her two cents every so often.
"Wait, Nagato was being seduced by a fake me?!" Kyon gasped. "And then she and Kuyou...?!"
"That last one might have been an illusion," Munemori pointed out.
"Right. Beast III/L probably realizes that Haruhi's the biggest threat, so of course she'd try to knock her off-balance mentally..."
"Well, that shouldn't happen anymore with you here," Haruhi asserted.
"...You're not seriously expecting me to come with you to the final fight, are you?" Kyon said uncertainly.
"Yes, I am," Haruhi affirmed. "You're staying right at my side. I won't let anything happen to you, I promise."
"Yes, in this domain, being at Suzumiya-san's side is probably the safest place to be," Koizumi pointed out.
"...Yare yare, I guess so," Kyon sighed in resignation.
"She needs you so Kama can't tempt her into her embrace of decadence," Kiara appended.
"Indeed, even I almost fell victim to her traps a couple of times," Archetype: Earth nodded grimly.
"Don't worry! I'm going to make that Kama pay for what she did to me and my sisters!" Passionlip exclaimed. "I'll reduce her to bloody chunks!"
"It might take a bit more than that," Kiara chuckled. "But your power will be a boon for us, to be sure."
"Right, so let's plan out how we're going to take down this bitch," Haruhi said. "I already have an idea or two, but any input is welcome..."
"Certainly," Tajima-no-kami nodded, Parvati concurring as well. And so the party huddled together a fair distance from the doorway, so Kama wouldn't be able to overhear them...
