After dropping the girls to their rooms and lingering around Evie like a puppy, Doug finally left. A dazed smile plastered itself on his face and he barely noticed when he kept tipping over his own feet. Kinda hard to care about anything when the most gorgeous girl in all the lands was here. Man he wished she was under Snow's care.
Sighing, Doug finally got back to his room, all bones intact. Opening the door, he found Carlos sitting at the table, tinkering away with some device that Doug decided he didn't want to know how he got. "Hello, Carlos," Doug greeted, walking over to his bed and collapsing down on it
"Sup dude, who are the girls staying with?" Carlos asked, his voice barren of any real interest as he tinkered away.
"Mal and Uma are together," he didn't miss the snort Carlos did at the comment. "Jana is with Jane and Evie is with Aubrey."
That made Carlos lookup. "You mean Evie is with the stick up bitch who met us?"
Clearing his throat awkwardly, Doug nodded, scrambling around mentally for a way to continue this conversation without being weird. "Yes her, though I think she'll manage, Evie seems really tough" and beautiful he added mentally.
"She is, I'm more worried about Aubrey," Carlos said casually, shrugging before going back to his work.
An awkward-for Doug- silence pervaded the room as Doug tried to figure out who to ask him questions about Evie without being weird. She was so stunning, everything he could've ever dreamed of in a woman. And she was so… sexy. Even the word made him flush and his body's temperature rise, as the was she sauntered around like a lioness, swaying her tight leather pants covered legs took center stage in his mind.
Clearing his throat, he sat up and waited for Carlos to acknowledge him. The other boy secretly rolled his eyes, already knowing this would be a pain in his ass. "No Evie isn't dating anyone. I don't think she has a crush or wants to date anyone, either," he said studiously avoiding looking at the other guy.
"Oh, okay, can I ask you a few questions about her?"
Internally groaning, Carlos put his stuff down and looked at the guys, nodding. "Just a few,"
Grinning, Doug started and all Carlos could think was, I'm going to regret this.
Hearing the knock, Jay hoisted himself up. A few steps later and he had the door open, a visibly annoyed Carlos standing there.
"Can I help you?" Jay asked, leaning on the doorframe with a cock smirk, arms crossed on his expansive chest.
Carlos growled and tried to settle his anger. "Doug won't shut up about Evie. Can I chill here?" He asked, making the thief nod and let him in.
"If it ain't wee Carlos," Harry said unnecessarily, a forced deranged expression on his features.
"Doug was practically mind fucking Evie and Carlos needed a break so he didn't get pregnant by proxy," Jay snickered, making Harry fall back on the bed as he howled with laughter.
"Wouldn't have been surprised if he planned baby names," Carlos groaned, spinning a chair so he could straddle it and rest his head on the back rest.
"Tha' bad?" Harry asked, raising a brow as he finally calmed down.
"I dunno what Evie did to the guy but he's obsessed. Wait till he finds out she wants a prince," Carlos said, annoyance thawing to wicked delight.
"You didn't tell him?" Jay asked, relaxing against his headboard.
"Nah figures Evie can. I told him pretty much everything else," Carlos sighed in annoyance, wishing he had a different roommate that wasn't charmed by Evie. "I know who the girls are rooming with though. We may be down two teammates,"
Harry and Jay exchanged a quizzical look before Carlos explains who's sleeping where, getting a low whistle from Harry. "Aye, this coild be a mess,". He said, though the lightbin his eyes said otherwise.
"At least they can't use magic, that's something," Jay shrugged, really not bothered about the situation. If he could deal with Harry, his girl could deal with Uma. Jana and Evie on the other hand…
The boys bantered for a while longer, getting used to each other's presence. On the Isle they never really interacted, except for Jay and Carlos I'm the occasion. It was interesting how well they all got along, something none of them expected. The boys played their game together, egging each otherbon, daring them to get more inventive with their moves. Jay was just finishing a complex flip when someone knocked on the door, drawing all their attention.
Seeing Harry and Jay were in no hurry to move, Carlos rolled his eyes and went to the door, pulling it open. "Hey Carlos! Can we come in?" Gil asked cheerfully, drawing Carlos's gaze to the boy behind him.
Shrugging, Carlos moves so they could come in, watching the new guy. He has chiselled features with rich brown eyes, his skin having a Sailors tan. His hair was in loose artful waves on his head, slightly more shaggy than a usual prince. His head kept flopping into his eyes, though the soft smile never left his hips. He had wide muscular shoulders, with corded muscle making up his arms. His chest wasn't as wide as Jays but it was nothing to scoff at either, and his legs were thick woven muscle.
"Thanks guys, oh this is Samson," Gil said, remembering to introduce the guy behind him.
"Sup guys, hope you aren't hating it here, it's a lot I know," he said, the easy going smile never leaving his features.
"You don't think this is the best thing ever!" Jay exclaimed sarcastically, making the other guy, who was slightly taller than Jay, snort.
"Fuck no, I'd rather be on the ocean. But my mother decided I should be here to get an education and dads soft so here I am," he rolled his eyes fondly when mentioning his parents, still totally at ease with the villain kids.
"Ye a Sailor?" Harry asked, his interest piqued.
"Sure am! Nothing like being on the open ocean. Just sucks that my girlfriend hates it," he sighed, his face expressive.
"Julia Porter, daughter of Jane and Tarzan" he said, getting nods from the others. At least it wasn't one of the heroes their parents pissed off.
The sound of bickering drew their eye to the door, the familiar sound making Jay and Harry roll their eyes fondly. Luckily, the door was unlocked so once they settled their argument they both swept in, with Uma making a cutting remark before going to Harry and wrapping his arms around her, while Mal pecked Jays cheek after going on her top toes.
"What is this? A party?" Mal asked, rolling her eyes when she saw her boyfriend had company.
"Pretty much babe," Jay said chuckling, placing a gentle kiss on the top of her head.
"I'm Uma, that's Mal. Now who are you?" Uma demanded, cocking her hip as she pointed to Samson.
"I'm Samson, pleasure to meet two beautiful ladies," he said, grinning slightly and winking obnoxiously, making sure Jay and Harry could tell he meant no threat.
"Whatever pretty boy," Uma replied, the slight red tint hiding in her skin.
"Just jetting you all know, dinner will be ready soon, it's 5:50 already," Samson said, checking his watch.
"Well then I guess we better-"
"What are you doing here Samson, I was just coming to get them for dinner?" Doug asked, taking advantage of the already open door.
"Don't worry Doug, I got it." Samson said, still smiling.
Doug straightened his spine, an irritated expression on his face. "I was given this job by the Prince who made this proclamation, so-"
"So what, if you are worried you won't see us don't worry, we could never forget you," a seductive voice purred, making Doug's entire body stiffen. She sauntered behind him and rested her head innocuously on his shoulder, reaching her hand over his other shoulder to play with his tie. "You aren't being difficult, are you?" She teased, a hidden threat in her words, lurking like a crocodile.
He stuttered but finally managed to say okay, making Evie nod and withdraw herself from him. She stepped further into the room, not bothering to look around it, just looked at her glossy nails.
"Really, is the another outfit change?" Mal said, rolling her eyes at Queen Ingrid's scion.
Evie shrugged and finally looked up, her painted lips pulled into a smirk. "Oh course Mal. I was so fortunate to get these clothes, so I'm going to wear them, is that a problem?" The final word was a veiled threat, though the ice in Evie's eyes made certain Mal knew.
"Nah, you look good," Mal admitted, sounding like she'd had the words forcefully extracted with pliers rather than giving a genuine compliment.
"I know," Evie winked, running her hands over the leather circle skirt she wore, the red thread embroidery at the hem standing out like stars in a black sky.
"Whatever, lets just go so princess peacocks head doesn't get any bigger," Uma said, rolling her eyes and leaning against Harry, his hands in the pocket of her matte gold pants.
"This'll be fun," Carlos muttered, rolling his eyes at the girls. The boys heard him and nodded, various degrees of amusement on their faces.
Evie caught Samson's eyes and the boy winked at her, his eyes not even dipping to the tight blue velvet crop top she wore, instantly earning him points. Without another word, Doug took the lead with Carlos behind him, Evie strolling up to Doug to see how flustered she could make him, and the others all dragging behind.
It was going to be an interesting dinner, that's for sure.
Hey all! That was super fun to write. Poor Carlos just wanting some space and for Doug to shut up. What do you think of Samson? He will be a central character through this. I love my version of Evie, making her a vixen and having her mother actually train her. The women overthrew kingdoms, she had to have been smart.
Next chapter Aubrey will be back and we'll see what she thinks about her new roomie! And some Jana and Jane bonding too.
Without a further ado, I hope you enjoyed it and see you next time! (Hopefully!)
