Bad News
"Oh hell no!" He was pissed, no, he was beyond pissed. It had been a month since the death of Mr. Frederick and he had gotten fewer missions ever since.
At first, he thought it was nothing. His grandfather and the rest of the Death Eaters probably thought they were making too much movement; which was understandable. But then he overheard Cavum talking about a current mission he had, despite the fact that they seemed to be on a hiatus. Maybe it was just something simple but that didn't do anything about his suspicions. Was Cavum the only one being sent on missions or were the others also under the influence of staying consistent with their orders? If they were, why were the others allowed to participate in bringing results to the cause while he had to stick around the manor? It made him feel weak and disgusted, disgusted because he wasn't pulling his own weight even if it were his grandfather's wishes. His suspicions were finally relieved after weeks of staying silent.
He was pacing the dining room as he tried to digest the information his grandfather had just laid out for him. Apparently, he was going to attend Hogwarts for a whole year, maybe even more! This wasn't what he was expecting. He was expecting answers, but not this kind.
"Perseus! Calm down and sit," No, he wouldn't sit. He won't listen to those words again. It was so infuriating, rubbing his face in frustration he bit back a retort and begrudgingly sat down just seconds after he told himself not to.
"Fine," he huffed as he began to fiddle with his ring, not wanting to face his grandfather.
"Thank you, now as I was saying. Severus and I think it'll be a great idea for you to enroll in Hogwarts. Since-"
"What the hell would I even learn there?" I already know every charm, hex, curse, and potion that you could ever find! As a bonus, I've already surpassed Cavum's understanding of runes; he practically said I'm on the same level as Cavum! Maybe a level lower but still! I basically know everything, you name it!" His voice was loud, the tone sending a clear message that backed his words highly.
"I know that," with a heavy sigh, his grandfather faced him once more, "Just hear me out."
"Fine, but it better be good," With a grateful nod, the old man continued.
"They're hosting the Tri-wizard tournament again and we received intel that Ludovic Bagman will be the host."
"The fat Ministry bastard?" He raised a brow. What the hell did he have to do with anything.
"This is why I urge you to participate in the meetings," He couldn't help but let out a small laugh to the displeasure of his grandfather who had both hands in his face.
"I do, I just drown out the boring stuff," He grinned cheekily before reverting back to his cold demeanor.
"Well, to educate you. Mr. Bagman is the Head of the Department of Magical Games and a high-ranking member of the inner circle of the Ministry. A member of the inner circle if you must say."
"Ok?"
Sigh, "Which means him being there will be a good opportunity for us to finally get rid of one of the Ministries highest-ranking members. This is a great opportunity for us Perseus, it's a major step that we could only dream of just a few days ago but now it's here."
Realization finally dawned on his face. This was a good opportunity… as a matter of fact, it was probably the best opportunity they could hope for. But the thought of attending the old Wizarding school sickened him. It wasn't that he hated the school in general, it was mostly because he felt like he would be out of place. After all, he didn't have a normal childhood. He never even had anything relatively close to a friend except for the younger Death Eaters who occasionally participated in friendly duels or trained to their heart's content, which was all done on the property whenever they weren't outside in missions. Cavum Vigil was probably the closet Death Eater his age. The older boy was 20, just three years older than him. So the fact that he would be attending a school with kids around his age seemed… weird.
"Yeah, I get it," Every part of his body was screaming yes, but he didn't want to. No, he didn't want to go to Hogwarts. He didn't want to make any friends. He didn't want to be surrounded by innocent people who haven't done anything wrong in their lives. He… didn't want to grow attached to anyone, because in doing so they would be put in harm's way.
He knew his grandfather sensed his discomfort, cause soon enough he stood. "We'll talk about this later this evening ok?" He nodded numbly, catching his grandfather's figure leave from the corner of his eye.
"Well fuck," The confrontation had ruined his mood. Deciding on what to do before the conversation tonight, he chose to go out on a walk around the property and maybe train with a few of the other Death Eaters.
~O~
The breeze was a bit warmer but still cold. The cold never bothered him; strangely enough, he quite liked it, especially when he was flying. The feeling of the cold winter air on his face as he flew around on his broom was amazing. Just a few more months and he'll be able to do that once more; until he remembered that he was about to or supposedly, attend Hogwarts... Sigh, he wasn't sure if he could fly around the school without permission, but he didn't care. Unless of course, Severus tells him not to.
Speaking of Severus, or Uncle Sev which he took to calling him some time in his childhood. Was, to tell the truth, a great friend of his father. They were very close to the point where he had asked him to become the godfather of his child, which happened to be him. Surprisingly, Severus took his job seriously, as he always watched protectively over him when he was young. He was also his very first teacher when he first started training in spells, although that didn't last long as his Uncle preferred to teach him about potions compared to spells.
Because of this, he held a high knowledge of a magnitude of different serums and concoctions at such a young age. Even though he listened to his uncle, he was, to be honest, a bit hesitant to learn since it seemed so… boring. But after trying it out he eventually got the hang of it and soon enough he was making potions that awarded him multiple praises from his Uncle.
Afterward, once he got a bit older he began to participate in duels with the older Death Eaters. It wasn't easy especially since he was only 12 at the time. But he learned quite a lot even though he lost a majority of his matches, well all of them to be exact. Despite the fact that he lost all his matches, he wasn't teased or mocked at all, in fact, the other Death Eaters didn't care. Instead of being rude or disappointed, they gladly chose to guide him through different spells and how to cast them. They even showed him new curses and charms that he vowed to learn once he got a bit better at spell casting.
One of his favorite spells came from the Rook family. Oscar Rook a senior Death Eater who had previously taught Cavum and now had begun to teach him as well. He talked about his family's history and all the various spells that were passed down throughout the years. Seeing that he was the only living member of the Rook bloodline he took it upon himself to learn every single spell in his family's library. From which he was able to recover a lost spell that was passed down through generations of the Rook family but was lost halfway through.
The Rook family specialized in holographic spells that were able to harm their opponents physically. Which was exactly what Oscar had learned. He had asked the senior Death Eater to teach him, to which he gladly agreed. It took quite a while but soon enough he was able to conjure a holographic whip. It took the form of a regular whip but instead, it was blue and had no physical outline. In spite of the fact that it held no physical form, it still acted like your regular whip. With this, he was able to use this to grab the wands of his opponents or harm them in a more… traditional way.
After that day he evolved the spell and made a few variations of his own. Diabolus Scutica was his favorite. He used it a lot once he had perfected it. That was when his love for inventing new spells blossomed. His skills had impressed a lot of the older Death Eaters, a few coming from the ones who participated in his Grandfather's meetings, in other words, the inner circle of the Death Eater cause. Igor Karkaroff, one of the members of the inner circle, was very impressed when he had watched him perform the spell. He stated that the spell would be a nice touch for his students in Drumstrang. To say the praise didnèt go to his head was a lie, he was acknowledged by the Igor Karkaroff, headmaster of Drumstrang school of wizardry which was known to produce hardcore wizards and witches.
Sighing wistfully at the old memory, he came to an abrupt stop at the outdoor dueling court. A few of the younger adult Death Eaters were dueling each other while others simply practiced on various dummies that decorated the courtyard. Even now he was still considered to be one of the youngest Death Eaters, and it was still true. There weren't any kids his age. But he was fine with that, after all, being surrounded by Death Eaters and people like Oscar and Cavum who acted like protective older brothers was enough for him.
Which was another reason why he didn't want to go to Hogwarts! Gah! He wanted to walk around to relax and just focus on something else other than his "new" mission but instead, the thought somehow made it back into his mind. Sitting down on a bench, he watched his fellow Death Eaters cast spell after spell. They were skilled, all of them were. After all, they had to go against the Ministry who had their own skilled Auror's.
"Watch out!" Whipping his arm out, a bluish shield appeared right before him. The spell disappeared instantly as soon as it came into contact with the Protego charm. It not only countered the spell completely, rendering it useless, but it also left no mark, deeming it unfit in battle.
"I'm so so sorry!"
"It's alright" He waved the person off until he noticed her attire. She wasn't wearing the standard uniform and instead wore a loose sweater and some blue jeans, basically just pure muggle clothes. In an instant, he had his wand at her throat with his hand on her wrist. The girl let out a small yelp as he pulled her roughly towards him.
"I said I'm s-sorry!" she squeaked.
"Who are you?"
"Daphne! Daphne Greengrass!" Greengrass? He knew every single pure-blooded house there was and he knew that the Greengrass family were neutral.
"I thought the Greengrass family was neutral?" he questioned her, gazing deep into her eyes for any sign of suspicion.
"I-I no we… we defected," Her voice was shaky, and it was only then he noticed how scared she was. He quickly tore his wand away from her neck and slipped it back into its sheath.
"... I see, sorry about that," At least he had the decency to look down in embarrassment. Was he literally that mad about the whole Hogwarts incident that he almost lost control of himself? He needed to talk to his grandfather much to his annoyance. He slumped back down on the cold bench only to notice the girl still standing there with a look of pity.
"A-a-are you ok?" she asked shyly.
"Yeah, just have a lot of things on my mind right now," She sat down beside him, her hand curled around her wand.
"You don't mind right?"
He looked over at her, "About?"
"Me sitting here."
"Ah, no it's alright go ahead. There's plenty of room,"
"Thanks," An awkward but peaceful silence draped itself around them.
"So, Greengrass huh? What made you guys decide to join the infamous Death Eaters if you don't mind me asking?" A small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"Well, my father decided that we weren't honoring our family's legacy so he made the decision to join the Dark Lords' cause."
"Really? Is that all? I'm sorry if I'm being pushy, it's not every day that a sacred 28 family appears out of nowhere."
"...No," he watched her chest rise as she took a deep breath, "My father found some journals from our great grandfather who worked at the Ministry. It turns out his death wasn't an accident and well, the secrets were out. Father was mad, he wanted revenge but also justice," He watched as she tugged a stray strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. His cheeks heated up and his throat dried up. Before she could face him he quickly coughed and covered his face.
"Well shit, that's one way to go," he winced, 'maybe that's where they got the intel,' he thought to himself.
"What about you?" He choked when he heard that but quickly covered it up with another cough. She didn't know who he was? To be honest he wasn't mad but amused.
"No one special really," he shrugged, "Just your senior Death Eater," he smirked internally. Yeah, senior Death Eater who is also the grandson of the great Dark Lord.
"What do you mean senior!?" she spluttered out. "We're the same age!" Oh shit, he forgot about that. He quickly gave her a quick look only to stop on her pearl blue eyes. They were breathtaking, it reminded him so much of the sea that he hadn't noticed how long he had been staring.
"Y-yeah I-um, guess we are," He managed to stutter. They were the same age, well it looked like they were. Curse her beautiful eyes that caused him to lose focus.
"See, I told you so," she smirked.
"Really? Well unless you're 17 or higher then I'm still your senior," he smirked back.
"Sucks for you then, cause I'm 17 as well," she snapped back. Her face was only a few inches away from his, but he managed to recover and back away.
"Heh, alright we're the same age," he relented until a thought popped up into his head. "Well, I may not be your senior when it comes to age, but I am your senior when it comes to dueling!" He grinned cheekily.
"Hey! That's not a thing!" Before she could say more, they were interrupted by a Death Eater who had stopped right in front of them. It was as if luck was finally back on his side, seeing that she couldn't retort.
"My Prince, you are requested back at the manor," Nodding he stood up and began to follow the figure.
"Wait what?!" Daphne's shocked face was priceless.
Laughing he turned his neck and gave her a small wave, "I'll see you around Ms. Greengrass," he called out, "And remember! I'm still your senior when it comes to dueling!" he quickly added before turning his attention back to the matter at hand leaving a shocked Miss Greengrass to comprehend what just happened. Guess his thought from before about being the only youngest Death Eater was wrong.
~O~
He followed as the Death Eater entered the dining room where they eventually stopped and motioned for him to take a seat before nodding respectfully and left without a second to waste. Let's just get this over with he sighed. Finding an empty chair around the table, which was easy considering no one else was there, he sat down. The vintage clock that sat beside the fireplace ticked slowly, it wasn't a surprise when he found his foot tapping in tune. Seconds passed, minutes, probably not an hour; but that didn't matter as Cavum came walking in.
"Percy," He greeted. Just like his grandfather, no one would dare speak his real name. But Cavum and Oscar were an exception, along with a few others he had grown to like. After all, they were his seniors and they taught him a vast amount of spells.
"Cavum! Were you called here as well?"
"Yes, I was. Annoying really seeing that I was about to make a breakthrough in my studies," The older boy grumbled. He was mostly stoic and kept to himself but whenever it came to his experiments his walls would melt and all those childish emotions would come out.
"Do you have any idea why we were called?"
"Nope, but it better be a good one," As if on cue, Severus came around the corner and sat directly across from them.
"Uncle," he nodded in acknowledgment.
"Perseus, Vigil," he greeted them.
"What reason were we called here for?" Cavum asked getting straight to the point.
"We've been discovered. One of Phoebus' squad got attacked by some Aurors," They both knew that it wasn't a lie, Severus had never been one to lie and his tone right now told them everything.
"Where are they?"
"Python's cave, one of Phoebus' manors, out of a hundred more," his Uncle added quietly with a scoff, "They're currently stuck only one got out before the Anti-Apparition charm was cast around the area."
"They're getting smarter," he mused to himself. Although he was pretty worried because the Anti-Apparition charm was a hard one to cast; which meant the ministry has one of their best Aurors at the scene, maybe even more.
"Our mission is to get rid of the Aurors I reckon?" Cavum answered for him. Killing a good number of Aurors would be very beneficial to their cause. Especially if they got the guy who had cast the charm.
"No," The answer shocked them both as Cavum let out a strangled cry.
"No? What the fuck? These are Aurors we're talking about. Killing them would be more logical."
"I agree with Cavum here, we need to get rid of those Aurors Uncle. After all, if one of them is powerful enough to cast the Anti-Apparition charm then they'll surely get in the way of our plans in the future," he tried to reason.
"You may kill those who stand in your way but your main priority is to get our brothers and sisters out. We don't want anyone to fall before one of those mutts."
"If that's what you then alright," He looked up in shock at Cavum's retreating figure. "I'll get ready and head back down, you should do the same, Percy."
He tried to gauge a reaction from his Uncle. But the man held a steady face as he motioned for him to follow the white-haired boy. Biting his lip, he left and quickly traveled to his room. There wasn't any time to waste if they were to save their fellow comrades. He quickly stripped his muggle clothes off and slid on his traditional combat attire which consisted of black pants, a black long-sleeved undershirt, a tough leather vest that held an intricate tree-like pattern, two leather bracers and their signature custom made robes and masks. He grabbed the black robe before slipping his arms through the holes. A Death Eater's robe wasn't like any normal wizard robe, instead, it was more like a cape with a hood with the sleeves cut close to the shoulder allowing the user more flexibility to move.
Rolling his shoulders and stretching his muscles, he opened the drawer that held his mask. It wasn't like any of the fancy masks that a majority of the Death Eaters wore; instead, his was a tad bit different. Unlike the skeletal mask, his was a piece of metal that had two eye slits and six small slits around the mouth that allowed him to breathe, followed by a small strip of metal that ran down his neck for extra protection.
He took a few seconds to check for any damaged parts or anything he forgot to wear before bidding Salicia goodbye. A motionless figure was at the bottom of the stairs. A weird bronze-like mask planted firmly on the person's face. It reminded him of something the legendary inventor Leonardo Da Vinci would invent.
"Ready?" Cavum's asked. The mask made his voice a lot huskier, like a robotic voice.
"Let's go get us some Aurors," he grinned from underneath the mask. With a chuckle, the boy grabbed his shoulder before they disappeared from the manor.
~O~
"Shit!" A man grunted as his shoulder caught on fire. A blast of water came from his left instantly putting out the fire.
"You're welcome now hurry up. These filthy dogs are getting closer," It was true, they were currently on top of the second floor, a few overturned tables shielding them from the spells that came from below.
"Damned dogs," He quickly peeked and fired a spell sending a poor fellow flying across the room before hitting a wall with a sickening crunch.
"Hey, Fox! On my count throw that vase." The Death Eater nodded before cocking his hand back. "Alright, get ready you guys."
Spells continued to fly past them, hitting the now burnt portrait of Phoebus Apollo. Damn his master would be pissed once he got home. Well if there was still a home standing, after all, half the house was broken and the Ministry already knew that this was one of their safe houses. The remaining Death Eaters fired spell after spell. The entire house was a mess as smoke filled the air due to spells incinerating anything that stood their way.
This greatly reduced their accuracy but there was still a chance for a spell to hit its mark. "Well? What are you waiting for?!" He quickly silenced the person before listening. There was a time, just a few seconds where the Aurors took a few seconds to breathe. If he timed it just right he could probably hit those that were about to chant.
"NOW!" As soon as the words left his mouth he rolled out into the open, "REDUCTO!" the vase didn't stand a chance as the sharp glass went flying everywhere. The sound of groans and pained grunts was music to his ear as he quickly fired another spell. At once all the Death Eaters fired their own.
"Eat shit you fuckers!" A Death Eater yelled as a huge wave of black liquid decorated the floor below.
"Incendio!" A Death Eater who was quick to catch on quickly fired the spell. Like magic, the entire bottom floor housing the Aurors began to burn as cries of pain echoed through the busted house.
"Ho. Ly. Shit," They fired more spells through the smoke before the silence overcame them. Large sighs came from the residents as they all took a breather.
"Is it done?" The person beside him asked.
He looked at him with a grim look, "Not. One. Bit," On cue the left staircase exploded, sending the defenders flying. Luckily they weren't seriously hurt as they crawled away with the help of the others.
"Plastes Petram!" He didn't know if it worked but the shocked yell of an Auror made him smile. He took a small peek as the spell finished its transfiguration. The man who had fired the spell was now frozen in place.
What the hell was that?"
"Stone curse, it turns the victim into a stone statue. They're basically dead since there's no cure," He fired another but this one missed its mark.
"These guys are so fucking relentless!" A Death Eater hissed as he hobbled over to them.
"What do we do now Captain?" He asked while waving his wand towards a fallen bookcase. It floated towards the previously broken barricade, taking its place as a makeshift shield.
"We need to get the hell out of here. That's what, but unless we can kill the guy who planted this fucking charm in the first place then we can't do anything for shit. So for now we need to continue hacking at these damned Ministry folks," He whipped his wand to the side and jerked it back as a few portraits that were barely hanging fell onto the occupants.
"Avada Kedavra!" A bright green light illuminated his wand before hitting its mark. He watched as the women fall onto the ground lifeless.
"Fuckin' hell," The man groaned before eventually heading back to his post.
"Secare!" He watched as the junior Death Eater flick his wand at an approaching Auror. Nothing happened at first but he later raised his eyebrow as the man's arm fell to the ground. Blood bursts through the open wound in waves drenching the charred floor.
"We can't keep doing this! We need to do something now!" The woman who was previously guarding the left barricade yelled from the study.
"Stay here," He told the young Death Eater before carefully making his way to the room. "What's the status in here?" he asked her.
"Five dead, four injured with one being major. If we don't leave now we'll lose them all," Gritting his teeth, he nodded grimly before making his way back to the frontlines.
~O~
"Phoebus will not be happy," Were the first words that came out of his mouth. They had apparated in the edge of the forest behind the property, but even from that view, they could see the destruction.
"Let's hurry, judging from the state of the manor we don't have much time before the whole thing will collapse," They quickly made their way over the stone fence, cutting through the hedge maze that the Death Eater of light had properly cared for.
It wasn't long before they could hear the shouting of spells and cries of pain, followed by the sound of the building being bombarded from a spell after spell. Bounding up the steps, Cavum pointed his wand towards the ground and muttered a chant that made them rise on an invisible platform.
Kicking the window open, he turned towards the nearest Death Eater, "Hope we're not too late," he spoke.
"Ainz! Hollow! We're almost being overrun, Red and the rest of the others are barely holding them off."
"Then we should get going," He strode towards the doorway and watched as spells hit the walls, nearly missing a few Death Eaters as they ducked or either blocked the spell.
"Ainz, bad news."
He looked back and only then did he notice the five unmoving bodies. "Fuck. If only we got here a bit earlier."
"Help Ainz with the bodies, I'll help the others upfront," He watched Cavum's trembling hand reach into his waist, his boots thumping on the wooden floors. Sighing, he pulled out five green marbles.
"I trust you know what to do with these?" He asked the Death Eater who he assumed was a girl from her tone earlier.
"Yes, m-, Yes Ainz," She had almost revealed his identity which caused him to choke silently, before shaking his head and focusing back on the matter at hand.
"My friends, you know what to do with these correct?" He asked his injured brothers and sisters. One nodded and grabbed the small ball. They all held onto each other before crushing the ball, in a second they disappeared from the rug.
"Ok, we need one more person to help with moving the bodies," He stood up and raised his arm, his shield already appearing.
"Red! Get your men to the study," He tossed one of the marbles to a man with a red streak crossing his mask who nodded in return. Throwing one last spell over his shoulder he quickly retreated into the far end of the hallway followed by the rest of the Death Eaters in a fast but disciplined manner.
Instantly they were faced with several Aurors who immediately made their way up the stairs. "Confringo!" A stream of light erupted from the tip of his wand as the deadly curse smacked right into one of the Aurors exploding him to literal pieces. The Aurors were stopped in their pursuit as they stopped to turn away from the gruesome sight as guts and limbs flew everywhere. In a feeble effort, they used their arms and hands to shield their face from the bloody delicacy but that didn't stop the blood from staining their Ministry-assigned clothes.
Following suit, he saw Cavum raise his wand towards the ceiling before uttering the words, "Bombarda Maxima," A loud rumbling could be heard before the ceiling collapsed, blocking themselves off from the Ministry agents. Quickly they ran to the study and watched as the final Death Eater vanish.
"Time to go," Tossing a marble at his friend, they both crushed it and disappeared just like the others.
~O~
It was chaotic once they came back as the wounded were moved into the medical ward. With the dead following after so that they could be buried later. Cavum tore his mask off with a sigh, as the older boy grabbed his shoulder and left with a nod. He watched as Red and the other Death Eaters sat around the table nursing their wounds while Margaret brought them some hot soup to eat. Everyone was tired, he could see it. Their faces were pale and sweat dripped from their brows. There were tears in their robes with a few even missing there's. There would be a small meeting later so for now he ventured back to his room. Desperate to take a shower and change into some clean clothes.
One hot shower later he was back in the main hall. The only people present were his grandfather, Severus, Cavum, and Red along with his assistant Colt. Both Death Eaters were bandaged up and were in fresh new clothes. Don't be mistaken though, not all Death Eaters wore the traditional clothes. The only ones who did were the ones constantly on missions. Otherwise, the rest would be lounging around or training in their more informal Death Eater attire.
"Seems like everyone is here so let's proceed with the debriefing," Unlike other meetings, this one had my full attention. Any meeting that involved something like this was exciting, unlike the others.
"Then we've lost Phoebus' manor then," Severus sighed sharing a grim look with my grandfather.
"Did you notice the person who cast the spell in the first place?" Cavum spoke up.
"No, it just happened so fast. One moment we were just resting and then we heard an explosion. They exploded the gate and came streaming in."
"How the hell did they even find the manor? I thought there were charms all over the place?" I asked no one in particular. It was highly unlikely that they just happened to stumble upon it. Unless…
"We have a few theories," Colt spoke up, his limp hardly recognizable now.
"What is it?"
"Wyatt hasn't returned ever since the mission he received from our master, Phoebus Apollo. We thought he just went to another one of our hideouts until well… until we saw his cloak gipped in the hands of one of the Ministries agents."
"You're saying he was killed?" I questioned.
"Yes, that's what we think. We suspect that the Ministry used Veritaserum on him before finally ending his life," At this everyone grew quiet. Wyatt was a veteran Death Eater who was often included in important meetings in place of his master whenever he wasn't around.
"It's the truth, I can sense it," his grandfather spoke up. Everyone nodded, after all, a Death Eaters mark could be traced by the person who gave the mark, hence how his grandfather is able to locate any Death Eater if they needed to be called upon.
~O~
Dinner was quiet that night. They were both eating silently, no words were being traded between them. His heart was racing, his grandfather would drop the same words once again. Hogwarts. He did his own research after the small meeting with the Death Eaters from the Phoebus line. It was one of the oldest wizarding schools in the country which was pretty obvious. But it also housed a lot of the best wizards to ever live.
There was Merlin, Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald, Newt Scamander, Regulus Black, Sirius Black, his uncle Severus, and finally his grandfather. There were many more and because of this, Hogwarts became known as one of the best schools ever. That he didn't disagree on, but it still held firmly in his heart that he didn't want to attend Hogwarts.
Finally, the words he was dreading came, "Have you thought about it? Attending Hogwarts?"
It took him a good ten minutes, maybe more before he answered. "I'll go. Considering the fact that it's beneficial for our cause then I'll do it."
"Thank you," He looked up in surprise to find his grandfather bowing.
"If you don't knock it off I'll leave right now and not attend at all," He smirked. That did the trick as their regular dinner routine kicked in. Soon enough he was being debriefed about the mission which he… happily listened to. Because maybe, just maybe Hogwarts wouldn't be so bad after all.

I am back after 1 month and from what I can see, people seemed to enjoy the first chapter which is nice to know. Like I said before, I'll update when I deem it fit and as you can see, I do. There are a few minor changes I made on chapter 1 so if you feel like rereading it then go ahead. Now there weren't any questions that were sent my way from what I can remember, except for 1 which from what you just read has been answered, or not... Like always, if you have any questions regarding the story and the characters or plot go ahead and send me a PM or review, questions about my update schedule will also be answered but I suppose I'll give a vague answer right now. At the moment updates will come once a month at the end of every month until I can get a foothold and find some time to write. Why I'm only updating once a month is because of my busy schedule so I'm deeply sorry about that, but don't worry it won't always be like this. I guess that's all, hope you guys enjoyed the chapter stay tuned for chapter 3.
