If I had to say that I was excited, it would be an understatement because THE SCOUTS ARE IN TOWN!!!

My beans and I were currently standing with the not-so-secret couple aka Franz And Hannah from our class, watching the Scouts departure. And to tell y'all the truth, I completely dragged them with me to see this because...

TINY ANGRY MAN!!!

I've never been this happy to have watched this show and discovered this AMAZIN Character and *Cough* Simp over him, and gosh he deserves so much love after everything that happened, and IS gonna happen!!!

I wasn't able to meet any other lovable character when out of camp, except some minor characters like Dimo Reeves that I saw in my strolls in town, and Mifa and others I wasn't familiar with.

My fangirls thought put aside, HERE THEY ARE!!

"HEADS UP! THE MAIN UNIT OF THE SURVEY CORPS IS BACK!"

"THAT'S RIGHT, COMMANDER ERWIN! DID YOU GIVE THOSE ASSHOLES WHAT THEY DESERVE?!"

Said Commander was on his Grey Horse, looking solely in front of him while acknowledging the praises without even looking away from his path. Eren and I were completely engrossed in our Fanboy/Fangirl States, to Armin's amusement. I watched the man pass in front of us, and noticed that he threw a little glance my way. I almost choked on my spit when I caught a little smile on his lips.

'Of course, me is the only black person here, of course, he's gonna notice me!!! AND I'M TALL AS FU–' I blinked a few times while the guy continued on his way.

"WOW! They were right yesterday! The commander just looked straight at Colith and smiled!!" Hannah immediately gushed, while Franz chuckled at his friend's antics, to my exasperation and my beans' surprise. But before I could reply–

"LOOK! It's Captain Levi!!" the guy in front of us yelled.

My head turned so fast that Mikasa winced at the sound.

'IT'S HIM!!!!!!'

Eren, Armin, and I immediately brightened, as if we were seeing a famous artist for the first time in real life during a concert– but I digress. I looked at all the beloved characters I wanted to meet!! My grin almost hurts because 'COME ON THIS IS EVERY FANGIRL'S DREAM VEJZBEJZ—'

"They say he's like an entire brigade to himself!"

"Tch, will you shut up.", the tiny Ackerman threw them a disdainful look, not at all liking the attention he was receiving and 'Oh, MY, GOD. HIS VOICE!!!!!!'

His grey hues met mine in question, before slightly widening in recognition– 'Recognition?!' My heart almost stopped when I saw him give me a little nod before resuming his rambling about "Pigs" and whatnot. Before Hannah could bring that up, 'This girl be like a hawk wtf' I seriously said:

"Mikasa," My hand landed heavily on her shoulder, she looked up at me in question, her eyes widening at my serious expression. The others looked at me too, curious about what I was about to say "I'm gonna marry that man." They all immediately choked.

"WHAT?!" Eren's eyes almost popped out of their sockets while he quickly looked between the captain's back and me, searching for his words.

"Are you serious, Colith?!" Armin whisper-yelled while shaking me like a plum tree. Mikasa had an unreadable expression on her face, she wrapped her arms around me, not letting go.

Recovering from his shock: "B-but, If she wants to marry him, the choice is hers... Right?" Franz awkwardly said, looking at Hannah who quickly agreed. Armin stopped shaking me.

The three snapped their attention to the two love birds, glaring. "No" they all said at the same time. Hannah hid behind a spooked and gaping Franz.

"Okay, yo guys, stop stop, I was joking I was joking."

Chuckling, I patted each one's head while they narrowed their eyes on me, not at all convinced, but they released me anyways.

"I'm not gonna try anything...yet." Mikasa elbowed me to my side to which I pretended to be in pain. "aaargh! okay sorry!" I flicked her forehead. That said, Eren started speaking.

"That aside, did you see how excited everybody is? It's like the crowd has different energy now!" he smiled brightly. Hannah immediately perked up at his statement. I started zoning out because I already heard this in the show.

I watched the scouts pass by and lingered from time to time on certain characters, such as Nanaba, Gelgar, and Others. Some of them noticed me because I wasn't that hard to spot and looked at me in surprise. Not at all disturbed by the stare, I continued to look at them when suddenly my gaze fell on brown hair and a familiar freckles face.

'ILSE!!'

Seeing her safe and sound put me in an awfully good mood because I hadn't heard about her since our last meeting two years ago. Looks like she didn't mention it to anyone, since things seem to be going as planned.

'This girl is fam!' I tapped my heart with my fist.

She too noticed me as her eyebrows raised in question since I was kinda grinning at her, they then furrowed a bit, 'This girl's eyes are quite familiar...and why is she looking at me like that...?', Not knowing what to do, the freckled girl awkwardly smiled to me, and quickly followed her comrades, still having questions about me.

'HM...I SHOULDN'T HAVE STARED AT HER LIKE THAT..?'

"You're in denial cause you're a couple! What's that about?!" I heard Eren utter in anger because of Franz's previous comments about the cannons or something.

"Daaamn Boi, don't expose them like that" I giggled at their flustered faces while they denied without really succeeding in convincing us on not being together. They were the first couple and the proof that Isayama would destroy any sign of love in his story. 'too bad, bro, cause imma save these two and let them marry each other.' I threw a smug look at the sky.

"Hey Hey looky here!!" A sudden raspy voice to which we could guess the person was a drinker, caught our attention, and my beans all looked at the familiar newcomer.

"Hannes!" Eren exclaimed, quite surprised at the man's appearance. He was accompanied by a colleague of his.

"Words on the streets they let you graduate yesterday. Either you've grown up or standards have plummeted." The man teased the brunette who smirked.

"Oh yeah? Like you're one to talk, the Garrison keep their new chief in the drink-" The dirty blond man flicked Eren's forehead at his comeback. I let a small laugh escape my lips, which caught the attention of the two garrison soldiers, their eyes widening at my appearance. 'yeah guys I know, *sigh*'

Hannes was about to ask about me but quickly got interrupted by Eren who happily introduced me. "Oh, by the way, This is Colith!" He dragged me in front of the adults who were blinking quickly. "She took us in after the fall. Colith, this is Hannes, A drunkard-" this resulted in Eren being bonked by said drunkard while I laughed, along with the others except for Mikasa who just stared.

"Don't you have any manners? That's not how you talk to your superiors, you brat!" he says, falsely angry.

"That hurts! You drunkard!" Eren massaged his skull, throwing a fake glare at the taller man, who's attention returned to me.

"Nice to meetcha, Colith! You seem like an unusual fellow." He laughed good-heartedly. "so you took care of this little rascal and his friends? That's very nice of you!" his eyes softened.

"No problem, sir. I did it because I wanted to. They're my family now..." I threw the three a warm glance to which they responded with their own. Hannes watched the interaction, quite surprised by our dynamic. He smiled, relieved.

"I see.." he nodded before landing his gaze on the smiling brunette. Guilt made his stomach churn as he hesitated to bring the subject that would drown the mood. However, he finally had the courage to address the elephant in the room. "I'm sorry if this is out of the blue, but I want you to know your mom's death still haunts me..."

My smile disappeared along with my beans. Eren looked at the adult seriously. "Me too, but it wasn't your fault." Hannes released a surprised gasp. "We were shooting in the dark then, but nothing like that's gonna happen again." Boi If you knew. "We know what we're dealing with now." He finished and zoomed out of here, leaving Armin, Mikasa, and I behind. Hannes looked at his retreating back in thoughts.

"Where do y'all think he's going right now?" I asked the two, hands on my hips, amused by the way he ran.

"I don't know, but I should keep close in case he gets himself in trouble," Mikasa said, adjusting her scarf. She threw me a glance seeing that Armin and I will stay together before excusing herself, running after the brunette. I looked down at Armin who shrugged.

"So what do we do now?" he asked me gently scratching his cheek.

"Dunno, We could go grab a snack and check this new bookstore I saw days ago. We still have one hour before we start our tasks." I put my arm on his shoulders. I still felt curious eyes on me, since this morning. It was the first time they all saw me without a hood on and It's pretty annoying, to be honest. The blonde perked up.

"That would be nice! " His eyes sparkled at the mention of 'Books'. I snorted.

"You should marry a librarian at this point Min, would get access to EVERY book in her store." I chuckled when the blond threw me a small glare to which I responded by blowing a raspberry at him. We said goodbye to Hannes and his colleague and went our way, fully taking advantage of this moment of respite since I knew that the next hours would be tedious for everyone.

I was currently in the base of the Garrison, with Mikasa, Historia, Jean, and other cadets of my promotion to whom I did not pay attention.

Jean and I were in charge of maintaining the blades, checking if some missing in their sheaths or if there were any that were defective. I was humming the first ending of One piece, while doing my task. I had noticed Jean stealing little glances at me from time to time, trying to find the courage to start a conversation. After a moment of this, he decided that it was probably enough since he finally asked me.

"So... Hum, you're really going to join the Scouts after all..?" he tried to sound casual, which he failed at.

"Yup!" I popped the 'p'. "I have things to do and there's no way I'm letting Eren go alone. Crazy guy could get himself hurt stupidly." I giggle while placing a blade in its sheath after checking it. Jean gritted his teeth at the mention of the suicidal maniac.

'Why does it always have to be about this bastard?' He clenched his fists, frustrated. 'Mikasa is always on his back and now Colith too?!' an affronted look appeared on his face while his mood soured.

Feeling his sudden hostile aura, I stopped my movements and looked at him for a long time, knowing exactly why he had this face, so I started. "You know... I find that we would've been more ahead in our researches about titans if all the best elements, that is to say, us top 10, were all in the Survey corps." The light Brown-haired teen's head whipped in my direction when he heard my calm tone. "It's crazy, don't you think? The top 10s have the choice to go to the capital while those with the lowest scores are divided between the Garrison and the Survey Corps. And what do you think happens to them if they go to the survey corps?"

Jean blinked a few times, his eyebrows furrowed before carefully replying: "Huh...they die..?" I snapped my fingers at this.

"Exactly, Jean boi," his eye twitched at the nickname but tolerated it since it was me. "That's exactly why the death rate in the Survey Corps is so high. There aren't enough well-trained soldiers, since the good elements end up in the capital, wasting their potentials there." I shook my head, disappointment evident on my face. "it's a shame, really, the ones who are still alive to this day are those who were part of the previous top 10s." The boy had stopped what he was doing, to listen to me. "Take Erwin Smith for instances, he was first in his class and decided to go to the corps, and now he's the commander of the Survey Corps. They now have fewer casualties thanks to his strategies than they had before." I examined a blade while the boy thought about my reasoning.

"Where are you getting at with this?" he finally said, looking at me truthfully, as if waiting for me to convince him of something. I just grinned.

"I mean to say that, you Kirstein, would be wasting a LOT of potential in the MPs" He was about to counter but I held up a hand, stopping him in his tracks. "I know that you worked hard for this moment, to join them. But seriously, I don't see you in the MPs. You have the qualities to be a leader and your ODM skills are just, wow, the best in our class! If you joined the MPs, all this hard work would go to waste, since they're more known for their drinking abilities than their skills." I shook my head dejected. "Plus, You know when you can't do things, and act rationally about it." I smiled kindly at him which made his cheeks flare red. "That's what's impressive about you, Jean." I flicked his forehead. This brought him back to reality and he started stuttering like an idiot.

"Y-You think so..?" his voice was so quiet that I had to focus to hear what he said. "I... Huh... That's a lot to take..." he scratched his neck, nervously while he was having trouble looking me in the eye. He let a long breath escape, and finally looked up at me, eyes filled with warmth. "I'll think about it, Colith. Thanks for letting me know about your opinion..."

I patted his head affectionately which made him blush harder. "No problem, I just said the truth! Plus if you choose to join, I'll be able to protect you too!" I chirped, to his surprise.

"Protect...Me ?" He gaped at my boldness 'How can she say things like that so casually?!' he screamed mentally.

"Yup! You're part of my precious people too!" I grinned, but before I could add something else, the light coming from the window abruptly turned yellow and a thunderclap echoed so loudly–I was tempted to yell "GAD DAMN"– that the place shook slightly considering that the base was a bit far from the gates, meaning that whatever buildings there had it worse. Some of the sheaths toppled and I quickly caught them before the blades we placed, could fall on the ground, ruining our hard work.

'it's time.' I thought seriously. 'My plan will start soon.' I looked at Jean's widened eyes because the guy was confused about the sudden event. 'Right he has never witnessed a titan transformation before..' I grabbed his hand which snapped him out of his stupor.

"Wh-" but before he could say a thing, a Garrison Soldier burst in the room we were in, a look of utter panic on.

"THE COLOSSAL TITAN APPEARED!!" with this, A boom shook the entire place again. Jean's hand tightened around mine as he shakingly looked at me, dread running through his entire body. Outside we could hear someone scream:

"THE GATE HAS BEEN BREACHED!!"
