Authoress' Note: Wow, I would never imagine writing an EdxWin fic, but then again, I think this has managed to break the curse of temporary writers block. I don't know. Anyway, I would like to thank those whom have reviewed and have motivated me to write as of late, so to NoirRomance, intoxication and all the others, thanks so much for all the love and support. I could never imagine doing this without you guys. You rock!

She never expected anything from him. Actually she never expected him to remember.
Glancing down at the card however made her heart somewhat light-heavy? She didn't know.
Her eyes scanned the small card and the messy, yet recognizable handwriting upon it.
Dear Win,
Sorry I forgot your birthday… Again.
Edward.
PS: Heard daisies were your favourite.
Her mouth would slowly, but surely form a serene smile before placing the flowers gently upon the dining table.
It would be then she lifted pen to paper.

Ed never expected a reply.
Actually, he expected a much more 'abusive' telephone call from her to central headquarters expecting them to pass on the message to himself or Al.
But there was no phone call. Nothing.
It wouldn't be until a few days after he had sent the flowers and the card, he had received a letter from Risembool, addressed specifically to him.
Thinking that it'll be the long rant that he had been since dreading ever since he had sent that late birthday wish to her, Ed heaved a sigh. He hated it when she was mad with him.
After a few moments of just staring blankly at the envelope, it would be then he would decide that there was no use in prolonging the inevitable. So he opened it up.
In a natural motion, though, he clenched his eyes shut.
Waiting for the shouting, yelling… The abuse…
Five seconds went past with nothing but silence.
It would be then he would open up his golden eyes to meet that of the most elegant handwriting he had ever seen.
Thank you.
PS: You're right, daisies are my favourite.
A small smile would then sweep across that of Ed's lips before writing below the letter:
You're welcome, Win.

Note: Well, that was my fluffy-ish EdwardxWinry pairing fic. Woo! I actually accomplished something I never thought I would do. Probably because I wrote it so late at night (or specifically, at 1:38am) was probably the reason why I wrote this pairing in the first place. Anyways, please Read and Review!
Thank you!
