The sky looks as miserable as I feel
And it makes me want to cry
Grey. The light filtered into her room, lingering with sullen stubbornness over her as she stared out the window.
This isn't helping me.
I'll never be 'okay' if I don't do something now
Finally she turned away from the depressing drizzle.
I don't want to be like that-
Always and forever killing all the joy around me
A few seconds later the warm glow of a flashlight flicked on underneath the covers of her bed, and Raven settled down to read, a smile on her lips.
Let me find some comfort here
Hidden away from the world for a moment.
Like a child hiding under the covers
From the terror of the storm.
Let me be 'okay' sometime soon.
