Authoress' Note: After writing my first (and probably last) EdxWin fic, I decided to get back on track with my Royai obsessive-ness. So anyway, this really isn't pure Royai, it's pretty much a random scene I thought up on the spot with a hint of Royai involved. So yeah. There's no real fluff involved or romance, just basically Riza and Roy in a small conversation. I do hope you guys enjoy it though.
Summery: An anniversary that he swore he'd never forget. Slight Royai references, drabble, slightRiza's POV.
Disclaimer: I don't own or claim to own FullMetal Alchemist. Thanks for understanding.
Words (Not including Summery, Disclaimer etc.): 247.

A difference in his voice and she doesn't know why.
Maybe she just doesn't get why he's so upset?
She naïvely thinks it's just the weather.
It has to be just the weather because it couldn't be anything else.
Unless…
She stands there, stiff as a board and her body motionless.
Realizing the reason why his voice is so empty and hoarse.
"It's the anniversary, you know." He states softly, his gaze solemnly focused upon the raindrops that splattered upon the large office window before him.
He does not turn to face her, to return her un-certain gaze.
It would be then she would wonder if it's alright to cry behind the back of her superior as she too, remembers.
She remembers everything, even if he doesn't.
But he knows that she knows that he's crying.
She won't stop it though.
She can't.
He wouldn't let her.
"Hawkeye…." His voice trails off into the darkness that surrounds him.
"Yes, sir?" she chokes out, trying so hard to retain her composed façade.
"Could you tell the Fuhrer that the reports will be a little late this week?"
"Yes sir."
It would be then she would turn to leave but pausing in the doorway. "You don't have to do this on your own, you know."
As expected she receives no reply, not that she really expected one in the first place, especially on the third anniversary of the Ishbal War.
The day she knew he'd never be the same.

Note: Short and straight to the point, I think. But all that matters is your opinion. So please Read and Review.
Thank you.
