Chapter 1 Beacon
Life, what a simple word yet one that holds so much meaning for every single living thing in every world. Since it is what many people strive to understand since for many beings the meaning behind their lives is different from everyone who breaths. For some it is to do the greater good, for others, it is the agony of others, however, there are those whose meaning in life is that of the happiness of others, and not of their own. And yes you may have heard his tale a thousand times before, in other worlds that this person has ventured in which he became either a God or a Hero of Justice. But this version of the same boy, is not a Hero nor a God, because he condemned his world to save his meaning in life, which was the smile of a little girl whom he loved as a sister. And in another timeline when he defeated those who stood against his goal of saving his sister, he made the wish of sending her to another world where she can find happiness amongst others at her side. As he fought the one who wielded the power of the King of Heroes, to protect her. But what if she also made a wish in that moment, not with the power of the Holy Grail but with her own power? A simple wish that will change the fate of these two siblings. The brother wanted people who could love his sister like he did, while the sister wanted her brother to find people he could love and cherish. Because the meaning of life is truly different for every living being, and thus for these two siblings the meaning of life for them is the happiness of one another. With all of this said, everyone please enjoy the story of the Anti-Hero of Remnant!
Something prickly was the first thing that Shirou Emiya felt as he started to regain consciousness, which confused him since he was certain that he was inside the cavern that held the Holy Grail, or in a prison after Angelica defeated him. So he was confused as to why he was feeling from what he could tell was grass on his left cheek. He mulled over the possibilities as to what was happening, one of them being that it was the Ainsworth's playing a trick on him, trying to get him to lower his guard to then attack him. But then he discarded that thought since knowing them they would have hit him to wake him up, so he decided to open his eyes to determine where was he. Since the conclusion that was found was that he was outside of the cavern and that he was not in a prison.
So with that, he opened his eyes and the first thing that he saw were trees all around him, which made him realize that he was in a forest of sorts. He started to get up at that moment he realized that his wounds were still present which caused him to grunt in pain, but he ignored the pain and continued getting up. After he got up he surveyed his surrounding trying to figure out where he was, but as he was looking around him he saw someone that he didn't expect to be near him.
Fear suddenly engulfed him, since he thought that his wish wasn't granted and that the person he cared for was now in danger, he looked around him frantically trying to see if his enemies were near them. But he didn't sense anyone there which confused him since he didn't understand what was happening. He then looked at the person in front of him as he suddenly had tears in his eyes, as he saw the sight of a young girl in a black dress, who was sleeping peacefully, he then started walking towards her with a slight limp. As he then kneeled in front of her, he then grabbed a hold of her hand gently he started to cry in relief as he then called out the young girl's name.
"Miyu..."
With that, the young girl started to open her eyes as he heard her brother's voice in her dreams, as her eyes opened the color of gold was the first thing that he saw, that signified the wish that she once made.
While for Miyu as her eyes adjusted to the light the first thing that she saw was the kneeling form of her brother, as she saw that he was holding her hand gently as he cried with a rare smile on his face. This sight shocked her since she didn't expect her wish was granted, she then started to cry as well, as she then muttered in a shaky tone.
"O-Onii-san?"
When he heard her he let out a sob, as he nodded at her. Telling her that he was here with her right now. Which caused Miyu to widen her eyes, and with a strength that she didn't know that she had, she suddenly hugged him as she was crying loudly, and saying repeatedly.
"Onii-san! Onii-san! Onii-san!" She cried out as she hugged her brother with all of her might fearing that it was a dream.
Shirou simply remained quiet as he also continued crying while hugging his sister even though he still felt pain but he ignored it, almost fearing that she might disappear.
They continued like this for a few minutes until they calmed down, they both separated from each other and started to get up but then Miyu gasped in shock as she looked at her brother's tattered state. Something that Shirou noticed, so to calm her down he patted her head, and with a smile, he told her.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. This doesn't hurt at all."
"But Onii-san..." Tried to say Miyu while feeling guilty, but Shirou cut her off already knowing what she was thinking.
"Hey, it isn't your fault. After all, a big brother's job is to protect his little sister, no matter what." He said with a smile, which still caused Miyu to feel guilty knowing that her brother fought to save her.
At this Shirou simply shook his head, as he surveyed his surroundings as he thought.
"Now the question is where are we?"
As he was trying to figure out where they were, he suddenly smelt a foul odor, that caused him to almost vomit.
"Onii-san!" Shouted Miyu in fear as her brother suddenly put his hand to his mouth as he suddenly went pale.
"I-I'm fine Miyu." He tried to reassure her but failed as she knew that he was lying.
But he ignored the feeling that she knew, as he calm himself down, as he then smelled the air again trying to assess what was that smell. As he concentrated, he picked up the smell again, but as he did two things shocked him. The first was that it wasn't one smell but multiple smells that were approaching where they were, and the second was that they all smelled of death.
"Miyu stay behind now!" He shouted to his sister in concern, which caused her to immediately follow his order since she knew that he only yells when something bad might happen.
As he felt that these "things" were approaching them, he opened his circuits to see how much he's regained.
"Only 20% of my od has returned, but that'll be enough for these Noble Phantasms." He thought has he said his mantra.
"Trace-On." He said as he heard the fire of a gun in his head indicating to him that his circuits were working properly, as two falchion swords one white, and a black one with red lines with the ying and yang symbols at the end of them appeared in his hands.
They both remained quiet as they both waited for the things to appear, and they only waited for a few seconds as these things finally appeared.
There were twenty of them, and the things looked like werewolves but at the same time completely different from what you see in fiction. They were completely black with red eyes that showed hatred, and a skull-like head that was laced with blade-like teeth. Their claws like their head were made of bone, and from what he could tell those claws can kill somebody with a single swipe of them. They also had spikes all around their body, especially where the spine is supposed to be located.
Overall they looked terrifying, shown as Miyu had a pale look for two reasons one of them being fear of these monsters, and the second was that she was worried for her brother's safety since she knows that he will fight them. As she had these negative thoughts, Shirou noticed that these creatures started to smirk at them which made him narrow his eyes at them, as he made a decision.
"Miyu run away, now!"
When she heard him, she looked at him with wide eyes as she shook her head with a fearful look.
"No, I won't leave you!" She denied his request with tears in her eyes.
Shirou didn't look at her as he still paid at the actions of these monsters as he noticed that they started circulating them.
"Look I know that you don't like it, believe I don't either. But you need to leave here so that I can protect you." He calmly told her while hoping that she would listen to him.
Miyu remained quiet as she looked around her and saw that these monsters were nearing them. At that moment she knew that her brother from a logical point was right, but she didn't like the fact that after being separated for so long and then finally reuniting, to now leave him in order to survive. But she remained thinking about what to do until she made a decision.
"Promise me that you'll survive until I bring help!" She said in a determined voice with tears in her eyes.
Shirou could only smirk as he said in complete confidence.
"Was planning on it!" He yelled as he ran toward the monsters while Miyu ran in the opposite direction.
This was all seen by the monsters whom they all started to run toward this foolish human who was injured, while some of them went towards the smaller human since they would not let the opportunity of having this prey of theirs escape.
However, before they go in Miyu's direction Shirou threw both Kanshou and Bakuya toward them. And at that moment the heads of those creatures fell, as he traced another pair of his weapons as he blocked a swipe from the creature that was in front of him with Kanshou, as he then used Bakuya to cut at the beast's stomach, which caused it to scream out in agony as it disintegrated into ash.
At that moment the other beasts noticed that this human albeit injured was still strong enough to kill one of their brethren which caused them to growl in anger. Something that Shirou answered with cold calculating eyes as he prepared himself for the battle ahead, as the monsters charged at him.
While this was happening Miyu was running through the forest, as she tripped multiple times due to the dress getting stuck multiple times on the roots of the trees, but then she decided to rip, the long parts of the dress, so as to not trip again. As she ran while hoping to find anybody that can help her brother. However, she didn't pay attention to where she was running as she fell due to tripping on an exposed root, which caused her to fall on a rock that hit her knee.
"Gah!" She said in pain as she clutched her knee, she then examined it and saw that it was bleeding. This was the first time that she ever felt this pain before since almost all of her life she's been inside of the house.
"No, I need to find help. Onii-san can't continue fighting in his condition." She said to herself as she tried to stand, but due to her exhaustion from before, it was too much as she collapsed onto the ground.
"No, please get up. I need to get up." She said with tears in her eyes in frustration, as she tried but she couldn't even get up.
At that moment she thought over all of the times that her brother was there for her, and how much he fought for her, and because of that, she started to curse her powerlessness. So she did the one thing that she could think of.
"Please, if anyone is there." She said while crying as she yelled with so much strength, that one could not imagine that this strength came from this child.
"PLEASE SAVE MY ONII-SAN!" She yelled out, as tears were falling from her eyes, hoping and praying that someone might have heard her.
She waited minutes hoping that someone heard her, but then she was then starting to lose hope, that somebody could save her brother.
"Please, someone save him." She cried out while shutting her eyes, but then she heard footsteps coming in her direction, she then opened her eyes and saw a sight that will be engraved into her memory forever.
Ruby Rose, an upbeat fifteen-year-old young lady with silver eyes, and black hair with red tips at the end of said hair. She is also somewhat childish, but don't let that discourage you, since this young lady is extremely intelligent and brave enough to fight the creatures of Grimm. This was shown only minutes ago as she conduct a plan to defeat a Nevermore, in which she succeded with her sister, her partner, and her sister's partner at her side. And now after both her group and the other group who defeated a Death Stalker, they are returning to where the Headmaster of Beacon Academy Ozpin, and his assistant/teacher Glynda Goodwitch, since they completed initiation.
"Man Rubes that was so awesome!" Said Ruby's older half-sister Yang Xiao Long while feeling proud of her sister.
"Oh come on it wasn't that awesome..." Said Ruby while feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Ruby you defeated a Nevermore, a Nevermore!" Shouted Nora Valkyrie in glee.
At this Ruby could only smile awkwardly, at this praise as her partner spoke up.
"Ruby, they are correct, since not a lot of people can defeat a Nevermore, and while yes you had help. But you conduct the plan and it worked." Said Weiss Schnee in a regal manner.
"Weiss..." Said Ruby in shock at her partner's words.
"She's right, you know. Not everyone can take down Nevermore, so feel proud of your accomplishment." Said Pyrrha Nikos with a proud look.
"Yeah, Ruby be proud of this!" Said Jaune Arc with an excited look.
As she heard them Ruby could only at them in shock since she never expected this type of praise coming from all of them, even Blake Belladonna, and Lie Ren were nodding at her with small smiles of their own. This caused Ruby to have tears in her eyes, but she wiped them off and with a big smile she exclaimed.
"Okay everyone let's head back to Beacon, to officially become students!"
So with that, she started walking forwards with everyone following her, but at that moment they all heard a yell that will change their fates forever.
"PLEASE SAVE MY ONII-SAN!"
As they all heard that yell that was coming from the other side of the forest, they all looked back in shock since they didn't expect to hear a child's yell in the Emerald Forest, but Ruby regained her bearings as she ordered her friends.
"Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren go notify the teachers! We'll find the girl in the meantime!" As they all heard her, Jaune's group nodded at her as they left, while her group went towards where the voice came from.
"Why the hell there is a kid here?!" Shouted Yang as she ran alongside her group.
"How in the world would we know that?!" Shouted Weiss, while glaring at Yang.
"Guys there's someone that needs our help!" Shouted Ruby at them, which caused both Yang and Weiss to look at her in shock since they didn't expect her to shout at them. But they realized that she was right, as they remained quiet as they all ran.
They ran for a few minutes looking for the child, but they couldn't find her.
"Where is she!" Said Ruby in growing panic since the more they look, the less time they have to save the person, that the child yelled to be saved.
Both Yang and Weiss were also growing restless, but then Blake shouted at them.
"I can see her!"
With that they all followed her, not thinking as to how she was seeing her. Something that Blake was glad that they didn't notice. As they all ran for a few more minutes they all saw a young girl with black hair and gold eyes, who was laying on the ground while looking at them with wide eyes.
"Thank you, Blake!" Thanked Ruby as Blake nodded as they all ran towards the girl.
"Hey are y-" Tried to say Yang but the girl cut her off.
"My Onii-san, please save him!" Said the girl with tears in her eyes, this shocked them all until Ruby immediately asked her, in a calm voice.
"Honey, where is he?" She said in that tone to calm the girl, which worked as she pointed behind her.
"He was over there fighting these creatures with black skin." She said which made them realize that he was fighting the Grimm alone. So Ruby quickly made her decision.
"Guys I'll go ahead!" She said in a serious tone as she used her semblance to go toward the child's brother since she was the fastest in her group.
"Ruby!" Shouted Weiss, but she silently cursed since Ruby was already gone, but then they heard the girl.
"Please take me, to where my Onii-san is!" She said in tears.
They all looked at each other for a moment thinking about the pros and cons of taking her towards her brother and not getting medical attention, that is until Yang shouted.
"Ah screw it!" She said as she picked the girl up.
"Be careful Yang." Said Blake towards her partner, as she saw Yang pick up the girl gently on her back.
"Yeah I know, now let's go!" She yelled as she ran with the other two following her.
As they ran the child was silently praying that her brother was still alive.
As Ruby was using her semblance to speed through the forest, while taking breaks from using her semblance, to not tire herself out, she still ran during these breaks. She hoped that she could be the young girl's brother, and her prayers were heard as she saw a clearing, and saw a tall young man possibly a bit older than her with patches of tan skin, golden eyes, and auburn hair with a white streak with injuries littered around his body. As he was battling the Beowolves, with two falchion swords that were colored black, and white respectively. As he killed one by cutting its head, while also blocking an overhead strike from one of them as he then redirected the strike as he then stabbed where its supposed heart was. She will admit that she was a bit awed by the grace that this young man displayed as he fought these creatures of Grimm, but she shook it off as she used her semblance to speed through the field, to kill a Beowolf that was going to attack him from behind with weapon Cresent Rose in its scythe mode.
This surprised the young man, but he ignored his surprise as he blocked a strike from a Beowolf. At this Ruby transformed her scythe into a sniper rifle as she yelled out.
"Move your head, to the right!"
At this, he did what she ordered, as she immediately fired and destroyed the Beowolf's head. The young man then looked back and with wide eyes, he yelled out while he was going to throw his swords.
"Duck!"
She immediately did as ordered as he threw his swords at the Beowolf that was sneaking behind her, and at that moment the swords cut the final Beowolf in half.
She looked back and saw the ash that was once the Beowolf, she turned around and saw the young man was looking at her with weary eyes. Which made her realize that he didn't trust her, so she decided to tell him something since she noticed a crucial detail.
"Look stranger I know that you don't trust me, but let me tell you that me and my group found your sister." At that moment she saw that his narrowed, which caused her to speak faster. "Don't worry she's fine, and I noticed that you are her brother since the colors of your eyes were the same as hers, and because you are the only one that I found after she pointed me in this direction." She said trying for him to not attack her.
He remained quiet, which unnerved her a little, as she noticed that he was going to say something. But then they heard the girl's voice once again.
"Onii-san!"
As they heard they both looked in her direction, and Ruby saw the girl was being carried by her sister and was accompanied by both Blake and Weiss. And speaking of the girl she had a wide smile as she saw her brother. While brother had a relieved look on his face as he said in a whisper that only she heard.
"Miyu..."
But then he started to fall, much to the young girls and the other's horror. But then Ruby with her semblance had caught him before he could hit the ground, she then checked his pulse, and with a relieved tone she called out to them.
"He's fine, he just fainted."
After hearing her, they all visibly relaxed, as the girl said to Yang.
"Could you please bring me, to my Onii-san?"
"Of course kid!" Replied Yang with a happy tone, as she walked towards her sister who was holding the young man. She then kneeled in front of them as the child then was crying in pure joy and relief as she then looked at Ruby and said.
"Thank you for saving my Onii-san." She thanked her, which caused Ruby to smile at her.
They then heard a Bullhead which caused them all to look up, where they saw the Bullhead was landing as the doors opened, and out came Jaune and his group, alongside Professor Ozpin, and Professor Goodwitch with a medical team.
"The young man needs medical attention asap!" Commanded Professor Goodwitch to the medical team as they all nodded.
They then went towards Ruby and the young man as they carefully put him on a stretcher and put an oxygen mask on him.
As this was happening Ruby saw the girl's scared expression, as she went towards her sister who was carrying her, and she once again spoke in a calm tone.
"Don't worry your brother is safe." She said with a gentle smile that managed to calm down the girl.
This was all seen by everyone, and they were all surprised by the gentleness in Ruby's voice, however, Ozpin simply smiled as he told his students and the girl.
"Now everyone please head to the Bullhead, we have a lot to discuss."
They all nodded as they all went to the Bullhead, as they went inside the Bullhead started to take off as Yang put the child in one of the seats as Weiss called out to the medical team.
"Can someone come here! The girl's knee is bleeding!"
At this, a young man from the medical team came forward with a disinfecting spray and a bandage. The girl had a scared look since she didn't know these people, but Ruby simply held her hand, which caused the girl to look at her in surprise. But she still had her gentle smile, which made the girl visibly relax.
"Okay sweetie, this is going to sting a bit." Said the medic as he sprayed the disinfectant onto the wound, which made the girl flinch a bit, as he then put on a bandage on it.
"Good, all better?" He asked with a smile as she nodded her head. So with a satisfied nod, he went away.
As this was happening the girl didn't let go of Ruby's hand, which made Ozpin smile a bit as he called the girl.
"My dear."
The girl looked at him not fully trusting him, something that he ignored, as he asked her in a gentle tone.
"If you don't mind me asking, what is your name?"
The girl remained quiet which caused everyone to frown, but Ruby simply gave the girl a small squeeze telling her that it was alright. At this, the girl looked at everyone and saw that everyone had worried looks, which made her realize that these people were kind so in a hushed voice she said.
"Miyu... Emiya Miyu."
"That is a beautiful name." Said Ruby with a smile, as she thought over what the young man said before he fainted. Which made her realize that he truly does care for his sister.
"Indeed so, miss Rose. Now miss Emiya can you tell me why you and your brother were in the Emerald Forest?" Asked Ozpin as he was wondering why the two of them were in the forest alone.
Miyu could only frown as she said.
"I don't know mister...?"
"Ozpin, you can call me Ozpin." Said with a smile which told the others to introduce themselves.
"My name is Glynda Goodwitch, ms. Emiya it is nice to meet you." Said Glynda with a small smile.
After her, the students started introducing themselves starting with Yang.
"Hey there the names Yang Xiao Long, nice to meet you!" Said Yang with a grin.
"Honestly... Hello, I am Weiss Schnee, it is nice to meet you Miyu." Said Weiss with a small smile.
"Hello, I am Blake Belladonna." Said Blake with a small smile.
"Hello, I'm Nora Valkyrie!" Said Nora with a large smile.
"Lie Ren." Said Ren with a small smile.
"Well, I'm Jaune Arc, nice to meet you." Said Jaune with a smile.
"Pyrrha Nikos nice to meet you." Said Pyrrha with a small smile.
Miyu was looking at them remembering their names as she then looked at Ruby with an expecting look. Something that Ruby simply giggled as she introduced herself.
"And I'm Ruby Rose, nice to meet you Miyu." She said with a smile, something Miyu gave one back as she said.
"Nice to meet you all."
They all smiled at her as Ruby then asked her.
"Miyu, if you don't mind what's your brother's name?"
Miyu simply frowned as she looked at her brother who was being treated, as she answered her.
"Emiya Shirou."
"Shirou..." Said Ruby as she also looked at the young man's state, which caused her to frown.
"Thank goodness that I managed to get there."
As she was lost in her thoughts, Miyu asked them all a question.
"Where are we going?"
At this Ozpin simply said with a proud tone.
"We miss Emiya are going to my school."
Miyu had a shocked look, which turned into an excited one as she asked.
"What is the school's name." Much to everyone's delight at seeing the girl's joy. While Ozpin answered in a calm tone, mixed in with pride.
"Beacon, my school's name is Beacon."
And at that moment the great of Beacon was shown, which caused Miyu to have a big smile much to everyone's delight. While Ruby simply had a small smile while looking at the young man. Something that her sister noticed, her partner, and her sister's partner noticed.
As they were approaching Beacon what they didn't realize was that because of one simple wish the entire fate of this world shall change. Who shall live? Who shall die? Will, there be destruction? Or will there be salvation? Will there be a savior or saviors? Or will there be destroyers? In the end, let us watch how this story progresses.

And disclaimer yes there will be a small harem, but not all the girls will fall in love with Shirou in Beacon only one, and she will be the main girl. So with that said do enjoy this series!
