Alright, now well see some practice battles and maybe some new moves. And perhaps something else.
StormWolf150: Oh, I thought it was an electric and fighting, my bad. Anyway glad you enjoyed the last chapter.
Irbrenneke: Thank you.
Hyperion07e: I don't way I thought it was electric and fighting.
Reader: Glad you enjoyed my little surprise. As for Scyther its going to evolve in to Scizor. I like Scizor more, and I better in terms of type match ups.
Since no one commented on Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle evolving, I'm going to assume I have your consent.
Also I'm planning for Brock and Misty to get more Pokémon also, let me know if you have any request.
"My that's some story." Prof. Oak commented.
After Ash had returned, Prof. Oak went outside to see what the commotion is about. When he saw Ash standing next to Pidgeot and a Scyther he understood what was going on. Ash then retold the story, Prof. Oak grew more impressed.
"Yah, Pidgeot did a great job, plus Scyther is a great addition to the team." Ash replied.
The two Pokémon held their heads up, proud of their trainer's comment. Realizing he hadn't taken a look at Scyther's ability or the rest of its moves, Ash pulled out the Pokédex.
Scyther the Mantis Pokémon. As Scyther fights more and more battles, its scythes become sharper and shaper. With a single slice, Scyther call cut a massive tree. This Scyther is male, and has the ability Technician. Scyther's moves are: Quick Attack, Slash, Wing Attack, Air Slash, Double Team, Double Hit, Agility, and Fury Cutter. Scyther's egg moves: Night Slash, and Baton Pass have not been unlocked yet.
Ash grin he knew Scyther was powerful, and would make a great addition. Scrolling over moves he could learn, X-Scissor and Brick Break where good attacking moves. Light Screen for defense, Pidgeot can show him Roost for recovery, and he could work with Pidgeot on Steel Wing, and Aerial Ace.
As for Pidgeot she could learn a few new moves, which included stuff like Razor Wind, Heat Wave, even Mirror Move.
"Alright guys I want to test your new moves so I'll be putting you all into mock battles against each other, excepted Eevee and Scyther you'll be working with me." Ash announced.
Everyone nodded as Ash split them into pairs: Charizard and Tauros, Zeraora and Tauros, Pidgeot and Tauros, Muk and Tauros, Kingler and Bulbasaur, Pikachu and Squirtle, and the rest of the Tauros were split into pairs against each other. Once everyone was set up, Ash turn to Brock.
"Hey Brock will you have a 2 on 2 battle against me?" Ash asked.
"Sure." The breeder agreed.
"Prof. Oak would you mind refereeing?" Ash asked, while he would have liked to ask Misty too, she was still hiding behind Brock from Scyther.
Seeing Misty predicament, the Professor nodded. Walking to taking take position, the professor cleared his throat, while both Ash and Brock took their own position. Misty moved next to Prof. Oak.
"The battle between Ash and Brock is about to begin, each side will use two Pokémon, and the battle will be over win both of one's side Pokémon are unable to battle, does each trainer understand?" Prof. Oak announced receiving a nod from each side. "Okay let the battle begin."
"Scyther I choose you." Ash called, Scyther flew from Ash's side to his front.
"Scyther Scy!" The Pokémon chanted ready to battle.
"Vulpix I choose you." Brock responded to Ash's pick.
Vulpix was a red and brown furred fox.
"Vulpix." Vulpix cried as it was released.
"Begin." Prof. Oak announced.
"Okay Scyther use Quick Attack." Ash began.
Flying straight forwards with a trail of light behind it Scyther made its way towards Vulpix.
"Vulpix use Flamethrower." Brock countered.
"Vul!" Vulpix barked, as it shot out a stream of flames.
"Dodge then Slash." Ash called out.
Moving to the side like Pidgeotto did in their match, Scyther avoided the flame before slashing down onto Vulpix who hoped out of the way. Retaliating Brock told Vulpix to use Fire Spin. Seeing the vortex made of fire, Ash had Scyther use double team to avoid the attack. Once Fire Spin missed its target, Scyther countered attack by using Air Slash. Scyther slashed the air several times. Several crescent shape air blade made their way towards Vulpix. Brock told Vulpix to dodge. Vulpix ran on all four's away from the attack. It managed to avoid the first few, but ended up getting hit.
"Vul!" Vulpix cried as it fell to its side.
"Vulpix!" Brock shouted out in concern.
"Scyther use another Air Slash." Ash continued.
"Scyther." Scyther responded repeating the attack.
"Vulpix, fight back with Flamethrower." Brock countered.
"Vulpix." Vulpix barked firing the Flamethrower.
The two attack collided creating a blanket of smoke. Neither side was able to see the other. Using the opportunity Ash had Scyther use Double Team. He then told Scyther to combine Wing Attack with Quick Attack. Moving forward Scyther blitz past the smoke and made its way towards Vulpix. Seeing Scyther, Vulpix tried to counter with another Flamethrower, against it. Ash then told Scyther to use Double Team. Scyther created several duplicates as the Flamethrower struck a copy however, Vulpix maneuvered the Flamethrower to strike every copy.
Vulpix managed to strike the real Scyther, causing it to cry out in pain as it fell to the ground. Scyther growl as it stood back, hearing its trainer's voice Scyther narrowly avoid a Swift attack. Ash then called for Agility, causing Scyther to move around as it increased its speed. Then Ash had Scyther use Double Team. Wanting to prevent this Brock had Vulpix use another Flamethrower. Firing the attack, Ash was ready, he told Scyther to use Quick Attack. The Quick Attack sped Scyther up, causing Flamethrower to miss, and using its speed from the Quick Attack, Scyther used another Wing Attack and slammed into Vulpix. Vulpix cried out in pain, as Scyther smashed into her. She collapsed on the ground, unable to continue.
"Vulpix cannot continue Scyther wins." Prof. Oak announced.
"Alright great job Scyther." Ash praised his new Bug Pokémon.
"Scyther." Scyther replied nodding.
"You did great Vulpix take a long rest." Brock praised returning the fox.
"Wow, the was a pretty impressive display by Ash, he just only caught that Scyther." Misty complemented.
"Indeed, he was mostly likely using his battle with Pidgeot for inspiration since both Pidgeot and Scyther use speed over power." Prof. Oak replied.
"Okay Onix, I choose you." Brock announced.
Brock release, as snake-like Pokémon made of large boulders.
"Scyther return." Ash called out.
Hearing its trainer's voice, Scyther flew back to Ash, who then looked at Eevee.
"Eevee this is your battle." Ash said.
Eevee looked surprised but nodded, she eagerly went on the field ready to fight.
"What why did he switch out Scyther?" Misty asked.
"Mostly likely Ash felt Scyther was still tired from its earlier fight with Pidgeot, plus the last battle was to test his and Scyther teamwork. As well as figure where to improve Scyther fighting style." Prof. Oak explained.
"That's pretty clever." Misty admitted.
"Eevee vs Onix begin!" Prof. Oak chanted.
"Onix start off with Rock Throw." Brock began.
Onix roar, as its created several rocks around it, before launching them at Eevee. As the rocks got closer, Ash told Eevee to avoid them with Double Team. Much like the battle with Vulpix, Ash used Double Team to avoid the attack. Not going to fall for the strategy from earlier Brock then told Onix to use Dig. Roaring Onix dug under the ground, looking around Ash tried to search for any signs for Onix. His eyes then narrowed when he noticed pebbles moving around Eevee.
"Eevee, use Quick Attack straight forward." Ash shouted.
Moving ahead at blinding speed Eevee moved away just in time, as Onix had burst through the ground.
"Onix now use Bind." Brock called out his next attack.
Launching its tail, Onix attempted to grab Eevee. Once the tail was close enough, Ash told Eevee to jump away. Following Ash order, Eevee dodge the tail, as it slammed into the ground.
"Now use Quick Attack, to climb on to Onix." Ash ordered.
Following her trainer's commands, Eevee sprinted forward as it pounced onto Onix. It ran along the segments on Onix's body, and once it reached close enough….
"Iron Tail!" Ash cheered.
Eevee's tail glowed bright, as it smashed the tail on Onix's head.
"Roaarrrr." Onix cried out in pain.
Eevee landed on all four, where Ash asked Eevee to use Shadow Ball. Creating the purple and black orb, Eevee launched it at Onix. The attack struck Onix causing it to roar in pain again. Brock the asked Onix to shake it off and use another Rock Blast.
"Eevee Double Team again." Ash countered.
"Eevee." Eevee barked. Creating more copies, they surrounded Onix.
"Rock Throw/Shadow Ball!" The two shouted.
Several small explosions were created, as the attacks collided. Smoke covered the field, and when it cleared up Eevee was nowhere to be seen.
"What where did it go?" Brock asked, searching for Eevee.
"Iron Tail!" Ash shouted.
"What?" Brock shouted.
As Onix turned around, Eevee smacked him with another Iron Tail. While it was in the air it then fired another Shadow Ball the topped the giant rock snake. Onix collapsed unable to continue.
"Onix is unable to battle Eevee wins." Prof. Oak announced.
"Eevee, Eevee!" Eevee happily barked as she bounced up and down in joy.
"Congratulation Eevee you did it." Ash cheered running up to Eevee, as Scyther joined him congratulate his team mate.
"Return Onix you did well." Brock said.
Looking over to Ash who was still complementing his two new Pokémon, he couldn't believe that was the same trainer who took on his Onix with a Pikachu. Still if there was something that hadn't change was his love and trust he had for his Pokémon.
"That was pretty impressive Misty said, cautiously walking up to Ash. She looked at Scyther wearily, who merely glanced at her.
"Thanks, I'm glad I was able to work well with these two." Ash replied while rubbing Eevee's and Scyther's heads.
"I must agree, keep hard working like you've been doing, and you'll do well in the tournament." Prof. Oak complemented.
"Thanks Professor." Ash replied gratefully.
"I'll said, your team has grown a lot in such a short time." Brock added.
"Thanks, we're going to keep growing." Ash replied.
With the battles now over, they group with the exception of the professor who had to go back to his research, went over the rest of the Pokémon. Ash smiling watching battle, showing off their new moves with great success. Deciding to take a break, he call in everyone in for lunch. With the bowls of every Pokémon filled all the Pokémon excepted Scyther began eating. Scyther having been a wild Pokémon until a few hours ago he had never tried Pokémon food. He looked at it with curiosity.
"Go on Scyther, made this food epically for you." Brock encourage.
Scyther looked at him for a moment, before he noticed his trainer nodding to encourage him. Picking up some of the food, Scyther took a bite before crying out, "Scyther!"
With that Scyther joined the other, with that Ash told his Pokémon to relax after finishing their lunch and they would continue after he returned. The group headed over to Ash's home where his mom cooked up an amazing lunch. As the group ate their lunch, Misty and Brock asked what Ash was planning to do once they returned to the lab. Swallowing his food, he explained that he wanted to do three most practice two with Misty and one more against Brock next using his Krabby, Muk and his lead Tauros. Misty excepted confidently saying, that she wasn't going easy on him. Brock also agreed, saying he would use Geodude next. Smiling Ash went back to eating after finishing their food, the group decided to say and watch t.v. for a bit while their food digest. As they were watching, an announcement came up saying in a week the P1 Grand Prix champion Primeape would be facing the Elite Four Bruno next week.
Everyone was shocked, especially Ash but he was excited and wanted to see that match. But for now he needed to focus on his training. Before leaving Delia said, she would to get tickets to see the fight, after overhearing the conversation. Once back, Ash gather his Pokémon as had the split up in to groups again, this time once again working on new moves. However, Ash had the leader of his Tauros heard, Krabby, and Muk stay by his side. Moving to the field for battle, Misty started by calling out Staryu to battled Muk. The battle was interesting as Muk used its body to tank all of Staryu's attacks without taking much damage. However, once the time was right Ash had Muk use Body Slam and suffocated Staryu till it was unconscious.
Misty returned Staryu and thank it in a sad voice. She was about to call out Goldeen but released she could do nothing on land. With no other choice, she regrettable chose Psyduck. Ash then called back Muk, before calling out Krabby. The battle was going in Krabby's favorite, until Krabby used Vice Grip on Psyduck's head. Releasing Psyduck was going to get a headache, Ash told Krabby to quickly knock it out. But it was too late as Misty called out a Confusion attack which launched Krabby into a tree knocking it out. Misty cheered and praised Psyduck while bragging about her victory. Calling out his Muk, Ash then waited for Misty to call down. Once she did Ash then reminded Misty of two things: one she still had to face Muk, and two Psyduck's headache was over. Releasing he was right Misty tried to call out an attack for Psyduck to use but to no luck. With that one Sludge Bomb later, and Psyduck was out. With that Ash was the winner.
The last practice battle of the day was against Geodude and Brock. With Tauros being the only Pokémon he hadn't practice with today. Brock tried to keep his distance from Tauros. Tauros used his new Iron Head to destroy any attack sent his way, and Fissure to keep Geodude from using Dig. Eventually Geodude, sand that's when Tauros knocked it down with Iron Head. Ash cheered and Brock thanked Geodude. With the last of the practice battle done, Ash let his three Pokémon rest. He then went to check on the rest of his Pokémon whose attacks were coming along. Once training was done for the day, he feed his Pokémon their dinner except for Pikachu and Eevee who would be eating with him attack home. Once they reach home Delia began preparing dinner, once they fed Eevee and Pikachu, Ash pulled Brock aside and wanted to talk to him.
Ash then explained to him Prof. Oak suggested to him about trading some of his Tauros since he had some many. Brock replied while saying it was a good idea, to think about it carefully after all he had traded Butterfree and instantly regretted it. Ash a sadden look remember that day, but he also reminded Brock, he had asked for his opinion back then but he didn't pay attention. Brock grew red and apologized. But he still said to think about it carefully and perhaps due what was best for Tauros. Thinking about carefully, Ash go through with trading only if his Tauros were okay with it. Brock smiled, as the trainer before decided to but his Pokémon feelings first. Once their discussion was over the two went inside, and helped set up the table. Once dinner was done everyone enjoyed dinner, after they helped clean up the group turned in for a goodnight rest. As he laid down, Ash stared at the celling going over his plans for tomorrow.
So the trading with begin next chapter, but we won't see what he gets till the 7th chapter. Not the ones he will get in that chapter will be used in the Indigo League.
