Sesshoumaru's gaze found hers, a pale eyebrow raising, and Kagome flushed, silently chastising herself for forgetting how sensitive his nose was.
"Thank you for inviting us," she said, banishing the loneliness with a tentative smile.

"That was amazing! Do they do that every day? Can I do it too?"
She stifled her laughter as a million questions tumbled out of Shippou's mouth, the boy barely able to contain himself.
Sesshoumaru considered him for a moment, then looked at his brother. "You may participate if Inuyasha joins you."
Any retort Inuyasha's had was cut off by Shippou jumping onto his shoulder and tugging at his hair. "Please!"
