Kagome nudged him playfully, watching as Sesshoumaru corrected Shippou's stance, the two of them going through various defensive positions. The kit's brow was pinched in concentration, Sesshoumaru's youki helping to calm his excitement and guide his movements.
He oozed patience, his words more encouragement than critique, and images of the brothers' first encounters flashed through her mind.
"Besides," she grinned, leaning back on her hands, "you like it."
Inuyasha bristled. "Like what?"
"When you're not fighting."
