The look Sesshoumaru gave her was calculating.

"Are you always so concerned with creatures you have barely met?"

"Yes?" she said, unsure where the conversation was leading. "Is that bad?"

"I suppose not. For you." He didn't enter the room, and Kagome swore his youki felt anxious. "Do you still have the ribbon?"

She pulled it from her yukata, blushing when his eyebrow raised. "What? I told you I was worried."

"Indeed." Casting one last look towards her door, he extended his hand, a silent invitation.

She took it without hesitation, youki pooling under their feet and lifting them off the balcony.
