The Problem:

Jealousy is defined as a defensive reaction to a perceived threat to a valued relationship, arising from a situation in which the partner's involvement with an activity and/or another person is contrary to the jealous person's definition of their relationship. Jealousy is triggered by the threat of separation from, or loss of, a romantic partner, when that threat is attributed to the possibility of the partner's romantic interest in another person.

For Chizuru Mizuhara Jealousy had become a bane in her existence and she felt this irrational emotion under strong protest, Her Jealousy did not stem from what she perceived as a normal problem that she could easily deal with. No her Jealousy was focused upon someone that she never thought she would have this emotion for. It did not seem possible. She never thought she would or could feel like this for anyone. Especially HIM. But she did feel Jealous. She had tried to limit her exposure to him. Keeping her time with him to a limited basis. Once a week and then on only special occasions where she allowed him to Rent her to be his Girlfriend. Then when Ruka Sarashina began to show an interest in him. She started to feel the pangs of jealousy well up within inside her. At first she fought against the negative emotions that Ruka caused her to have. To her continued disdain and to make it even worse it was her own fault. She convinced Him to go out with her now rival on a Probationary Period. To become his Girlfriend and the problem was that he was beginning to like Ruka. What now made it even more intolerable and to add to her jealousy, there was another Girl now showing an interest in him and again it was her fault. She had asked him to take Sumi Sakurasawa on a Practice Date. Oh she suspected that it could happen and when it did of course once more she felt the pangs of Jealousy. He just had this way about him that impressed Girls to want to be with him. Even though he did not see it or know about it. "Mami Nanami is an idiot." She whispered and shook her head. She had to believe that, for if Mami wasn't a complete idiot then the Blonde Moron would have realized just how wonderful he was. No instead from what she had gathered from being with him. Mami had for some reason only dated him so that she could later break up with him. Make him believe that she cared about him. Which in Chizuru's mind was about as stupid as one could get. He was special. For he was the one in the million that would be the perfect Boyfriend or more then that. The perfect Husband. She gasped as she thought that word. "Husband." She muttered and smiled after saying that. "Yes he would make the perfect Husband. Someone that a Girl could love and know he would love her in return. Would do anything for her and he has." Thinking back to when he dove off the Ferry to save her life when she fell overboard. She knew none of her other Clients would have done that. She reached up and touched her lips. Remembering when she had to give him Mouth to Mouth. She closed her eyes and thought back to the feelings she felt when she pressed her lips onto his. That moment was when she first began to feel differently about him. She sighed and laughed shortly. Less then a Month ago, she had pretended to kiss him in hopes to convince Ruka that they were indeed a couple. "Why didn't...Why didn't I really kiss him. I wanted to. I intended to." She said and knew why she didn't. She worried that she would once more like it. That she would want more then being a Rental Girlfriend to him. Then that would ruin everything. "Or would it." She whispered and with another exhaled sigh she stood. It was time. Time for her to go talk to him. He had last night told her that he wanted her as his Girlfriend and then before she could get him to clarify what he meant. She knew he panicked and changed what he meant. "No! I know what you meant and I am not about to let you do that. No we are going to be honest for once. I am going to be honest for once and make you be honest as well." She declared as she stood and walked to her door. She stood there for several moments and then laughed again. "Jealousy really sucks." She then laughed and opened her door, then went to his.

Standing at his Door, Chizuru began to have doubts. Doubts and concerns that perhaps she was the only one to have these feelings she now knew she had. Though those feelings also caused her to feel Jealous and fear. Fear that perhaps soon, he would begin to consider having a Relationship with Ruka. Or Sumi, that is if the timid and shy girl gained the courage to pursue him. Which was possible. She had talked to Sumi and could hear how much the other girl liked him. How he had somehow of course impressed her. So with the threat of two Girls that could sway him to them. She just could not let that happen. "NO! I saw him first. He is mine." She said to the door and then with a determined smile, rang his Buzzer. Or was about to when she heard someone at the Steps.

"Chizuru...What are you doing at his door?" Ruka asked and Chizuru turned to see her rival standing there. Feelings of guilt flooded through her as she considered just returning to her Apartment. But then something dreadful came to her that made her feel once more afraid.

"What is she doing here? There can be only one reason. She intends to...with him. No! She is not going to...No! I cannot let this happen." Chizuru inwardly thought reaffirming her resolve. "I...I..." She could not say it. She could not tell Ruka the real reason she was there. Not until she was sure that Kazuya felt the same towards her that she now knew she felt towards him. Then Ruka laughed and Chizuru was confused.

"So you are finally going to admit it are you? Crap! I thought that I would be able to...oh well. That is if you are there for the reason I think you are there." Ruka said and then laughed again when she noticed Chizuru was blushing and unable to make eye contact. "I knew it! I knew it from when I grabbed your Boob." She declared referencing back to when she had accused Chizuru of harboring feelings towards Kazuya. That Chizuru did not want anyone else to be with him. "You had fallen for him...haven't you?" She asked and what could Chizuru say. Chizuru slowly nodded. "Good. Not that I am happy that you and him will probably get together. But...But he is a really great guy and should be with the one he has also fallen for." Chizuru looked up at her in shock.

"How? How do you know that? That he has fallen for me?" Chizuru asked and again Ruka laughed.

"Oh come on! Anyone could tell just by looking at you two. Any idiot could see that you had fallen for him and he has fallen for you. I was actually hoping that you both would continue being oblivious...so I could try to sway him away from you." Ruka stated and then walked closer. Then before Chizuru could react, the other girl pushed his Door Buzzer. "When you two...tie the knot...I expect to be invited." With that she then turned and headed back to the steps before Kazuya asked who it was over the intercom. She smiled back at Chizuru and gestured for her to answer. Then left. Once down the steps she checked her BPM and smiled. "95. Guess playing matchmaker also raises it." She muttered and then with another laugh, headed for home.

The Solution:

Finding out that it was Chizuru and after he opened the door, Kazuya let her inside. He was going to ask if her doing this would get her in trouble. But this was the third time she had come inside his Apartment and it was not like they were going to do anything. At most it was him being neighborly. Though he was in the process of leaving, so he hoped that whatever the reason she had come that it was not something dire and that needed him to remain for too long. "Uhm...I was actually about to go out. Is there something wrong Mizuhara?" He asked her and Chizuru grimaced. Then took a really good look at him.

"What do you mean...about to go out?" Chizuru asked and Kazuya looked at her oddly. Then smiled slightly.

"Oh I...Sumi contacted me and wanted me to go on another Practice Date with her. She told me that you suggested it." Kazuya was a bit confused for he was sure that Chizuru would have known about today and his Practice Date with Sumi. She grimaced again and shook her head.

"I must have forgotten." Chizuru said and then felt another pang of jealousy roar within her. "Sumi you sneak. Practice Date my ass. I know what you are doing. You plan on turning the Practice Date into a real one. You are going to try to take my Kazuya away from me. That is not going to happen. Not ever." She thought as she had the urge to call Sumi and chew her out. "Do you have time to talk. I really need to talk to you about something." She asked him and he glanced over at his Clock. Then nodded.

"Yes. About two hours. Is there something wrong Mizuhara that I can help with?" Kazuya asked again as he gestured for her to sit at his table and he sat across from her. She inhaled softly and tried to smile.

"Could you...Kazuya we have been...together for over a year. Could you call me Chizuru instead of being so formal?" Chizuru asked and Kazuya nodded again, then smiled.

"Uhm sure. So what is it? It has to be important if you...oh no did I do something wrong again? I have kept my distance at school and I pretend not to know you." Kazuya quickly said worried that perhaps she was there to once more complain about something he had done. She shook her head.

"No...Or rather there is something you are doing wrong." Chizuru said and then let out a deep sigh. Reaffirming her resolve. "I have to do this. I have to tell him and get him to admit it to me. Otherwise...I may lose him. I cannot let that happen. I won't let that happen." She thought and then with a deep breath. "I don't...I don't want you to go out with Sumi again. In fact I do not want you to go out with Ruka anymore either." She stated and he looked at her confused.

"I do not understand. I thought you suggested I go out with Sumi on another Practice Date. That is what she told me. As for Ruka...You said I need to continue seeing her on a Probationary Period. So that she will not tell anyone." Kazuya said feeling so confused that he had no idea what was going on.

"I did not suggest for you to go out with Sumi again on anything. So I do not want you to go out with her again." Chizuru declared sternly. "As for Ruka...I...like I said I do not want you to go out with her anymore." She added and he looked at her still not fully understanding why she would tell him not to go out with either of them.

"Okay. I get it. You do not think that Sumi needs to go out on another Practice Date and as for Ruka. You believe that since she is blackmailing me to go out with her...that it might turn worse if I keep going out with her." Kazuya said, he had already considered that with Ruka. He could not keep stringing her along, due to he was feeling a bit guilty for not returning the obvious feelings she was displaying towards him. Chizuru took a deep breath and glared at him, causing him to flinch.

"NO YOU ADORABLE IDIOT! THAT IS NOT THE REASONS I DO NOT WANT YOU TO GO OUT WITH THEM!" Chizuru yelled and Kazuya shied away from her. Then when she moved around the table and knelt down besides him. "I do not want you to go out with them because...because...oh the hell with it!" With that she threw her arms over his shoulders and drew him sideways towards her. Before he could react to what she had done. She kissed him. She really kissed him. Not a fake kiss like she had done before and not to give him Mouth to Mouth to save his life. She pressed her lips onto his and his eyes widened in shock. When she parted from the embrace she smiled.

"I...I...What? I am so...confused...right now. Why?...You just...okay...you kissed me." Kazuya stammered and stuttered so much that Chizuru had to laugh. She shook her head and then pecked him on the lips again.

"It is a simple explanation...Kazuya on why I do not want you to go out with either Sumi or Ruka again." Chizuru said and he still did not understand what was happening. She smiled and laughed again at his expression. "Like I just said it is a simple explanation...I...I have fallen in love with you and I want to be...your...Girlfriend...Your real one." She then watched as he began to weave back and forth. Then he did what she did not suspect he would do. He fainted.

Opening his eyes, Kazuya blinked a couple of times and then came to the realization that he had been asleep. He had dreamed the whole thing with Chizuru telling him that she was in love with him. That she had fallen in love with him and that she had kissed him. There was no other logical explanation he could think of. Then he noticed that his head was not on a pillow on his Futon. No his head was on something that felt remarkably wonderful. Focusing his eyes, he gasped when he saw Chizuru above him. He had his head on her lap and she was idly twirling her fingers in his hair. "Oh good you are awake. You had me worried there for a second when you fainted." She said and he began to panic. She held him down when he tried to sit up. "Take it easy there...do not try to sit up yet." She told him with a small smile. "You know that was not the reaction I expected when I told you that I had fallen in love with you. I at least expected you to...say it back to me." He swallowed heavily and then reached over with his right hand to pinch himself.

"Okay I am actually awake and this is not a dream." Kazuya said as he heard Chizuru giggle and shake her head.

"Nope. Not a dream." Chizuru told him and Kazuya began to feel faint again.

"So you are telling me...That the Girl I am in love with...is in love with me? No this has to be...I have to be in a Coma." Kazuya said and again Chizuru giggled.

"Nope you are not in a Coma and I really like that you said that you are in love with me too." Chizuru said and then leaned down to press her lips onto his, briefly. "Does that feel like a dream or that you are in a Coma?" She asked him and he shook his head.

"It does feel like a dream come true. Mizu...Chizuru...I do...I have and I am...I love you. I am in love with you." Kazuya said and Chizuru giggled once more. She leaned closer and kissed him again.

"Good. Because I am in love with you too. Oh and what I said early...No more going out with Sumi and definitely not with Ruka." Chizuru blushed slightly. "Turns out that I am sort of the Jealous type. Also I believe I am also sort of vindictive...So if you ever cheat on me...You might not like the consequences." She told him and this time he laughed. Then reached up with his right hand to caress her face, tenderly.

"I would never do that. I would never cheat on you. Wait...Does this mean we are...?" Kazuya asked and Chizuru nodded.

"Yep. We are a Couple. I am your very Jealous and Possessive Girlfriend and you are my Boyfriend." Chizuru said and then after another Kiss let him get up. For one they had a lot to discuss. Mainly the new rules that she had thought up while he was unconscious. Along with that she had used her Cellphone to Quit being a Rental Girlfriend in lieu of being a Real one to him. Knowing that she could not do that anymore for she had thought about it. She doubted she could go out with anyone else without feeling like she was cheating on him. She did not want him to Cheat on her and she had no intention of ever Cheating on him. It also explained why it had become harder and harder for her to do her Job as a Rental effectively. It was bothering her while out with a Client that she felt like she was cheating on Kazuya even though they were not together yet. So now that they were, she knew she could not do that anymore. They discussed over the new Rules, which was not that many. Only that for the time being, she needed to maintain her Chizuru Ichinose persona while going to School, so they would not be able to acknowledge that they were a couple yet. "But remember I am always going to be watching you." She told him with a sinister smile and he chuckled.

"I guessed as much and you really do not have anything to worry about." Kazuya said and Chizuru now smiled warmly at him. "Oops. I better call Sumi and tell her that I can't go out with her. Also I better tell Ruka that I cannot go out with her anymore." He was about to get up, but again Chizuru stopped him.

"I already called her while you were unconscious. She understood. Oh and also Ruka already knows." Chizuru told him and continued to lightly twirl her fingers in his hair.

"As much as I like this...When do you think I could? Maybe sit up." Kazuya asked and Chizuru smiled at him.

"Not for awhile yet. I like this too. With your head on my lap. It feels natural to me." Chizuru told him and he chuckled and made no effort to sit up. For another two hours they discussed what it meant for them being a couple.

Almost a Blown Secret:

While in her Ichinose persona, wearing her hair in braids and with Glasses. Chizuru walked with Shinbo and Kawanaka towards their next class. "You know you guys...this sucks. There are so many eligible men here and none of us can find a descent one amongst them." Shinbo said with frustration edged in her voice.

"I know what you mean. I just went out with a total loser...he took me to an Arcade and spent the whole night playing games. Then when he won enough to get something...I thought he was going to get me something. No he got some stupid trinket that he kept for himself. I will never go out with that idiot again." Kawanaka said and Chizuru had to laugh at that. Thinking about when Kazuya won her that Teddy Bear at the same Arcade. She had commented how cute the Pink and Purple Bear was and he then spent a good two thousand Yen to win it for her. The Bear sat proudly back in her Apartment. One of her most prized possessions.

"Adorable Dork. God I love him." Chizuru thought as her two friends continued to complain about Men in general.

"How about you Chizuru...Any guys in your life yet?" Shinbo asked with keen interest and Chizuru debated on telling them that yes. She had a boyfriend that she was so head over heals for that she could not help but feel marvelously happy. Instead she shook her head.

"Nope. Though I have not really been looking for one yet." Chizuru said and her two friends laughed.

"Wait. What about that guy? What was his name...Kanuna or Kazuti? You know that guy at the Beach a few months back. It seemed that you both were...I don't know I felt a vibe that there could be something. Especially when later we caught you looking at him with that dark haired girl." Kawanaka asked and Chizuru shook her head.

"You must be imagining things." Chizuru quickly said and wished they would change the subject from Kazuya.

"Oh...That is a shame. Though I have to say...He is really cute. Too bad I heard he has a Girlfriend anyhow." Shinbo said and Kawanaka chimed in.

"Hey I heard that. I also heard he jumped off the Ferry to save her when she fell overboard. I feel envious...I doubt any of the losers I been going out with would do that for me. I wonder if he still is with his Girlfriend?" Kawanaka said and Chizuru began to feel the ebbs of jealousy arise with inside her.

"I got an idea. We see him around here from time to time. I think if I ask him out? If he still has a Girlfriend and they are not broken up. He will say no. But if he is single." Shinbo smiled broadly. "Then maybe I find out if he is as great as he seems to be." She suggested and Chizuru let out a low growling exhale.

"Well there is your chance. There he is right there with those two guys." Kawanaka said pointing across the Campus at Kazuya, Kibe and Kuri. Then before Chizuru could protest and tell her friends to leave her boyfriend alone. Shinbo laughed and clapped her hands together.

"I think Chizuru should ask him. After all she is the one that I think needs a little romance in her life. Her boring, boring life." Shinbo suggested and then before Chizuru could say no. Her Friend took her left forearm and almost dragged her over towards Kazuya. She wanted to protest and free herself from her friend's grip. But she also did not want either of her friends to decide to ask him out. So when they arrived with Kawanaka behind them. She decided that perhaps it might work out if she did ask her Boyfriend out. For no one would actually be able to learn that he was her Boyfriend or rather Chizuru Mizuhara's Boyfriend.

"Perhaps I could maneuver this into that me and Kazuya do get together without anyone learning the truth." Chizuru thought as she subtly smiled. At first Kazuya pretended to ignore her. Right up to the point when she asked him out. Then handed him her Phone Number, which he already knew and left with her friends. Who were amazed that she had actually asked a boy out. Later inside the same room that she had dragged him into before, she explained her idea. That for the time being, he would date both of her Persona's. For in truth she that was actually her real persona combined. Which is the persona that Kazuya was in love with. So that night, he went on a date with her in her Chizuru Ichinose persona and from then on he spent almost every moment he could with her. At first Kibe who did not know about Chizuru was hostile over that Kazuya was essentially cheating on Chizuru Mizuhara. Both Kazuya and Chizuru were shocked over the fact that Kibe could not see that it was the same person. Then realized that in her Ichinose persona was so good that no one could tell. So they went with it and that Kazuya was cheating on his Girlfriend.

To keep Kazuya from being smacked by his Grandmother and maybe Chizuru's. They had divulged everything to them. Which included that she was a Rental Girlfriend and that he had rented her for the past year. That before now, their relationship had been a lie. Of course he got smacked for lying. But after they told the Elder Women that they were together for real. The two Grandmothers did not care about Chizuru being a Rental Girlfriend or that the two had lied to them. So in the end it worked out. All but that both of the Grandmothers wanted to know when the two of them were going to make it official. With Wedding Rings and all that went with the Rings. "Someday soon Grandma." Chizuru said to both of them and that seemed to pacify them for now.
