Kagome jumped, whirling around to find Inuyasha leaning against the doorway.

"Not that I wanna break up whatever this is," he smirked, golden eyes gleaming, "but you've got company."

Detaching herself from Sesshoumaru, cheeks burning, Kagome motioned to her side. "He was bandaging me up."

"Guess he did a thorough job of it, considering yer already dressed."

"Inuyasha—" she warned.

"Keh! You ain't got to explain anything, K'gome," he said, tucking his hands into his sleeves, "I could smell your blood. So could the wolf, though he took off to the western gardens instead."

All the previous heat drained from her face, and she gave Sesshoumaru a panicked look.
