Klaus grabbed Hayley's hand that was an incoming punch, he twisted her arm with vamp, she growled while turning to kick him in the face, he grunted while back tracking. Tasting the blood that dripped from his nose.
They were in the old church that marcel used for training vampires. They removed the boxing ring to give themselves the optimal space.
He smiled devilishly as they circled each other. "You've gotten better,"
She smiled, moving her sweaty hair from her face. "Well, having an Original train you does help..well, are you just going to stand there?"
"Ladies first," Hayley smirked. She picked up a wooden poll from the adjacent wall. Grasping it in her hands.
"Oh, well, that's not very fair, luv" He teased.
"oh please" Hayley barely said before she swung it at hi. He placed his forearm up to block it, a slight sting but nothing he couldn't manage. He then grabbed the pole and pulled it so close that Hayley was inches away from him. She gritted her teeth. He pushed her backward and she fell, she rolled back up to her knees; one of them on the ground and the other propped up as if proposing.
"You're not a hybrid anymore" he chastised. "Don't rely on your strength because you will lose.." he threw the poll on the floor, rolling towards her. Klaus then smiled proudly. "You're cunning. So use. it."
Hayley pursed her wet lips and rose while grabbing her weapon. Suddenly she looked to be doing the exact move as before, aiming for his head, but as he went to block it, Hayley redirected her aim to the back of his leg where the joint met.
Klaus held a deep grunt as it caused him to almost fall forward on his face. But he caught himself on his hands, just in time to roll out of the way when Hayley was going to slam the poll against his back.
As soon as the poll made contact with the ground Klaus knew he could quickly break it with his foot, but he didn't want to end this just yet.
So, he grabbed a poll that hung from the rack. he swung it at her side, but Hayley blocked it. She gasped a breath as he continued to turn offense. "Block!" He kept yelling as he was pushing her backwards.
Until her back hit the wall. Holding the Jo like a sword, he swung at her but she raised hers' horizontally to clash with his jo. Then used her force to try and push him back.
Once she had enough room between them she gave him a roundhouse kick, using her vamp speed to propel her foot at superhuman speed to the left side of his face, but not fast enough. Klaus grabbed her leg, he threw her leg to the right side, causing her body to turn with it. Her back was against his front and he raised the poll against her neck.
Hayley grunted, she used one hand to try and stop the pressure that was building at her neck. Klaus kept trying to aggressively tell her what she was doing wrong, what she needed to do and how to do it better, but she barely registered his words or maybe she did, and it's what caused a hot rage burning in her gut.
Hayley screamed in fury and impaled his foot with her jo. He screamed as well, one difference was that it was a cry of pain. His pole as still around her body, but not as tight, she grabbed it. Using her elbows to hit him in the face. Within a millisecond she turned around and pushed him against the wall. Jo against his throat just as he had done to her.
She searched his greenish blue eyes, but he didn't fight it, only awaiting her next move. She didn't know if the rage died or finally reached it's boiling point, because Hayley threw the pole on to the ground. She grabbed her hair and shook her head.
"I hate this!" She cried. "I hate this so much.." She repeated. "I'm not even a wolf anymore." She didn't regret what she had to do, but it still hurts to think that she doesn't have a pack anymore. No, she's not a hybrid, not a wolf..she's just a vampire. "I just..I feel so.."
Klaus looked for her gaze. "Empty" he whispered.
Hayley looked up at him. She took a second before nodding. Klaus sighed while licking her lips. He walked over to her slowly. "I know how you feel, little wolf"
She huffed darkly. "How can you even still call me that?" Klaus' hand bumped into hers. And he slowly intertwined their fingers.
Hayley found herself unable to look away from his gaze. It was strong, confident, yet kind...and something else, but she couldn't quite name it yet.
"Because you're still my little wolf" he muttered, brushing the pad of his thumb over her knuckles. "I know that pain. I know how it feels to feel incomplete..and I promise you-" Hayley finally glanced at the ground in dubiety.
Klaus wasn't having any of that, he cupped her cheek, lacing his fingers through her hair, softly making her look at him. Hayley's mouth was parted by a hair.
"I promise you" He repeated. "That we will fix this" The look in his eyes was something else, she thought. There wasn't just kindness. No. There was admiration, loyalty, respect... And love. She was sure her eyes were mirroring it, she only hoped he could see it too. "Do you trust me?"
Hayley felt her knees a little wobbly, heart pounding and stomach felt almost nauseous, but even with that she couldn't stop from raising her hand to his cheek as well. With how close they were standing she could feel him inwardly gasp at her warm touch. His stubble tickled her fingers. No, her people wouldn't accept her like this, heck, they wouldn't even understand what she's going through, but he does. He is her pack. Her home.
"I trust you"
Klaus smiled softly, his dimples started to come into view. He grabbed her hand that was on his cheek and kissed her knuckles softly.
"Good" He breathed against her skin.
