Chapter 1

This is a revised version of the first chapter thanks to my beta readers and a shout out to my partners who helped me with this, Spiral Gamer and SacredKoopa, check out their project Awakening of the Sapphire Dragon. It's great, has amazing plot and backstory as well as some nice lemon and limes.

And now let's get this party started!

In a land of myth and a time of magic, there was a guild that was feared and respected by all due to the powerful leader who governed the flying castle that traveled to many lands, conquered many dungeons and kingdoms that were led by tyrants or suffered through poverty, as well as enjoying a new quest to explore unknown lands, face powerful enemies, and use the riches to not just benefit the people whom he saved but also his home that many called his guild but for him the castle, or its appropriate name, the Flying Gardens of Babylonia, or Eden as he called it due to the greatest treasure he had in the in the tenth floor, of his home and castle.

The EX Ranked Relic: The Tree of Life.

A powerful relic that took upon the form of a large tree that bore delicious fruit that had the ability to resurrect an entire civilization and its lands but for an individual, one can take a bite of the fruit and be revived however it only works on a person that died in the last 48 hours.

The land of Yggdrasil was well aware of the flying castle that brought fortune to those in need and destroyed those who are vile and wicked. The leader of said castle was an imposing figure that made those who were wicked run in fear and terror while those who knew of the leaders kindness and compassion made them feel hope and joy as they heard the name of the man.

Diablo, who took on the form of a Dragonoid that had demonic features as well but when he was getting serious in battle his true form appeared and all who had seen it and lived to tell that tale knew that the leader was a true Demon Dragon that laid waste to those who attempted to kill his comrades or innocent lives.

He was ranked Number 1 in the game by being a Solo Player and not only did he become an unstoppable force but he also enjoyed his time in the game since it wasn't just an escape from reality for him but a he respected and enjoyed his time in the game with the other NPC's that he was able to gather in his castle from his many adventures. Unfortunately after just 2 years of the world being released, the game industry said that the it was going to shut down at midnight, much to the understandable dismay of not only Diablo but also the other players who still played the game.

One of the things that Yggdrasil was highly praised for was the extensive and deep customization of not only the avatar and build of players, but also of something that only players of the highest levels could make. Player-created Non-Player-Characters, Custom NPCs. Issei wanted to go down the Demon Path and become a King who was feared by many but respected by those who were there at his side and showed no fear when he was around. As much as he wanted to try and making his own NPC, he was actually rather fond of the ones he had gathered throughout his journey and spent so much time leveling up and making them become stronger than he found them.

One such NPC was the personal secretary and overseer of the other NPC's that were also known as the Guardians that housed the 15 floors in between the Garden's halls. There were a total of 15 floors in the garden but only 12 were the combat/battle rooms however Issei believed that the other four, the entrance, the room where the Tree of Life resided, the treasury and relics room where they housed their treasures and relics that he gathered over the course of their many adventures, and finally the throne room where he discussed with his secretary about the matters that they had to attend to.

Each of the Guardians had a special place in Eden since Issei wanted each of his guardians to have a special place in the castle so they could not only fight at their full potential in battle but also enjoy themselves when they weren't busy fighting enemies. The NPC's were surprised when each of them were given a special floor and purpose since Issei knew that each Guardian was given a special role to play. Such as his secretary, who was a Succubus sure but in the game she had a hard life before he showed up and met her for the first time at a village he was visiting when he traveled back in his solo days.

Thus where our story begins is within a guild that has been a thorn in Issei's side for a while and since the game was ending soon, he decided to have some fun.

The Archangels Followers

A tall man was running down the guild halls of his home that he and his party had set up back in the day they created their base of operations and acted as great followers of the 'Almighty One' The God of the World that had blessed their guild with great blessings and power which they used to defeat their enemies and take the weapons they had for themselves. Now while they seem to be kind Angels serving in the name of their God, the players behind them were nothing but people who enjoyed taking immense pleasure in destroying rookies and their bases so they can use the land and rob them of their gold and weapons when defeated.

However, they chose the wrong solo player to mess with since he was almost defeated by the guild that was praised as being self righteous which was why today, the two would meet once again.

Over the years of the Archangels Guild, many of its members had stopped playing YGGDRASIL, leaving just a few members left in this empty shell of a once mighty guild. The servers were shutting down tonight, and the last few vested players had spent the final hours touring their creation for nostalgia's sake.

The leader himself was walking through the halls, and no matter how many times he walked down the same halls, he would still be overcome by the divinity of this place. The walls sparkled with a white purity and the air seemed to glow with a holy light. A leader that fit perfectly with the décor strolled through his guild base as he smiled at himself and had pride in his role as the Guild Leader. His character was an angel type to match such a holy place. The melancholy in his gaze was palpable. After all, he was the last active member of this once glorious guild, the only person to see the final moments of the world he and his friends created.

Suddenly, he dove to the side, just avoiding the swipe of a magical sword, a testament to the skill he had built up over the years. However, he simply wasn't fast enough to dodge the magical attack that came after. It froze him in place, the dark nature of the attack proving to be a poor match for his character and equipment design. He could only watch in frustration as an demon type appeared it front of him, wielding the magic sword that had nearly struck him before he was cut down by the enemy before him.

By the time he respawned, all was lost. His items stolen, the treasury sacked, and their glorious guild weapon destroyed for its parts. He could only stare in mute horror at what had become of his glorious home. All the memories, all the accomplishments, from twelve years of gaming with his friends to be the best. Gone. All gone.

He watched with trepidation as an animation appeared before him, a last taunting message from the one who had destroyed everything he loved. Its colorful and hand drawn style kept his eye, the figures that were obvious parodies of him and his friends danced across his view.

"Hello there my old friend- I know how you must feel about this. You and your friends worked so hard to build this place, and I just had to go and crush it and take all of your riches for myself. Hahahaha~!" A cold and falsely sweet male voice narrated over the video as the animation showed his guild base being smashed to pieces by some large monster, too poorly drawn to identify. He was able to see in the background a group of players from his guild crying in an exaggerated manner. The message was clear, this monster wanted him to watch as it destroyed his base.

"Now, normally I would say it wasn't personal, but that would be a lie. The truth is that I've been waiting for you specifically to be all alone so I could finally take away everything from you just like when you did the very same thing to me when I was only a rookie. You and your guild merely pretended to be a bunch of heroes like some ridiculous Isekai army but now, now you've lost it all. Your precious blessing from the 'God' you served won't bring back what you lost anymore." The voice said as the leader gripped his fists as he realized the reasons behind this persons actions before he saw a toothy smile enter the screen as the person spoke again.

"Oh! I can taste the anger and shame you must feel for being unable to protect what you cared about is the sweetest revenge. I know you probably don't remember who I am, let alone what you did to me, but I want you to know that I only waited this long because of how strong your guild is and how annoying those blessings you were blessed with but now that I found you all alone, you made it too easy for me."

The voice was right, since he didn't remember. His guild was the epitome of good and righteousness, they never tried to wrong anyone and would try to make amends if they did. Unless it was an evil being or that's what their cover was at least when speaking to rookies and other guilds before stabbing them in the back.

"Well, it's been fun crushing you but I have other guilds to steal from so I can add it to my personal collection. So much to do and so little time to do it all. This is goodbye, Ta-Ta~!" The voice said with a mocking laughter echoing as the video faded the player noticed a notification pop up as well.

[Notification! Unfortunately, your guild base has been conquered, and your guild weapon destroyed! Following the rules of the game this base will be returned to its previous state as a dungeon and all players present will be sent to the nearest town. A formal dissolution of guild status will be sent out to all members shortly. Better luck next time!]

With a primal rage the player screamed towards the heavens as all he loved disappeared.

Outside the former guild base, the player who had caused such a tragedy for the player laughed in pure amusement at the fate of his former tormenters. He watched as the last guild member was ejected from his home back to the town. He then noticed that the player logged out in a furry, never to log back in. His future memories of the game forever tainted by this parting gift from an unknown adversary.

"Well now that the fool is taken care of, I think it's time to get going to the other guilds on my list. There isn't much time left to enjoy one last adventure which is very sad." And with that the player teleported away, off to the next abandoned guild for some mischief and fun.

Throne Room of Eden

Within the throne room sat a tall man that had short dark brown hair with dark red tips that were dyed to give him a cool but mysterious look. His face was sharpened and stoic from the many battles that he took on and led his guild to victory. He wore a skintight black shirt with black pants that had some chains on the side that glowed dark amber as if it was waiting to be released at any foe. Black combat boots that were durable and strong enough to Spartan kick a foe through a wall reinforced with powerful metals and Magic. On his hands were fingerless gloves that had light but durable armor on it that charged up with very successful hits that increased the luck rate and power of the punches.

Covering his left arm was a blood red armor that had blended well with the glove he had on his hand. His arm armor was known as the Left Arm of the Demon due to its power to absorb any forms of magic from an attack or the area so he could heal himself, his ally's, or replenish his MP gauge. On the right arm he had a white armor that had a blue gem on the hand part that covered his glove. It was well known as the Right Arm of the Angel. The white armor had the ability to summon any kind of weapon of his choosing. Whether he desires a sword, a scythe, a mace, a bow and arrows, any kind of weapon he wanted the armor would transform into it. The sword at his hip had Holy Magic and Dark Magic so it would allow the deal of both kinds of magic to any opponent whether they were monster or human.

Finally he had a cloak on his back that bore the mark of their guild but the cloak was also special since it was known as Hades Cloak. It allowed the user to summon multiple demons to face his foes, the number and what kind of demons he could summon depended on his level which was 200 the highest level in the game, create illusions that could be seen as real, and allow the user to summon the Gate of Hades that calls upon the Cerberus and the Guardians of Hell that drag any guilty soul there to be killed for all eternity.

His eye color were amber like a cat's eyes but his irises were red as blood while he had a scar on his left cheek that he kept from his rookie days as an adventurer and the same day he took the game seriously after reaching level 100.

He let out a sigh of relief as he cracked his neck to relieve himself of the attacks that he was able to tank through easily but a smile was on his face as he was pleased to be able to get some extra parts, coin, and other things from the remaining guilds he demolished.

"Hm. Fifteen minutes left until the game ends. Such a shame as well since I really enjoyed myself in this game." Diablo said as he felt one of his NPC's near him before turning his head to see Albedo, his secretary, appear before him and bowed to him in reverence and gratitude before he commanded her to stand as he got up from the throne and left towards the relic room.

"Hopefully Yggdrasil's successor comes around and when it does Eden shall rise again. Never Surrender but Never Be Afraid of Defeat. That is the motto I lived by in this world. I may be powerful but even I fear death but fear is what makes one stronger. I'm happy to have made many memories with my Guardians and I'm grateful for you to have been by my side, Albedo." Diablo said as he patted the girl's head which made a blushing emoji appear on top of her head.

[Thank you Master Diablo. It's an honor and a pleasure to serve along side you.] Albedo said with what Diablo can describe as joy before he walked into the treasury that holds all of the relics that he's gathered over the years.

"It's hard to imagine I was able to become Number 1 in the Guilds List for the power and wealth I've gathered over the years. I'm truly proud of you all but it's a shame I can't share this with any of the others." He said as he looked at the most recent one they've gained from a dungeon raid that housed Angels and Devils.

"The Reality Wish. An EX Rank Relic that has the ability to grant the wish of one person alone. Unfortunately it can only be used once and as soon as the wish is spoken the effects activate. It's a special relic they made in hopes of one making a new rule." Diablo said to himself as he looked at it for a moment.

Diablo let out a heavy sigh, before he turned to leave. "It truly isn't worth it, for the wish I desire to make will never come true, not even in a video game like this."

Even though he didn't touch it, the item still glowed as if it read his heart but Diablo didn't notice as he left with Albedo before making his way back to the throne room to see that the Pleadies were lined up in a proper line as they awaited their masters orders. Diablo smiled as he went back on his throne and looked at his character screen before seeing that the time was getting shorter.

Down to only one minute.

"I've truly enjoyed this game and enjoyed it as long as I could with the support of my castle." Diablo said as he sat smiled as he looked at the countdown.

Issei smiled at this in his room as he counted down the timer.

"It's been fun. I hope I can still find you all when the sequel comes out." Issei said before he counting down.

Issei smiled as the game shut down before he felt dizzy in his room until his eyes closed again. 'Probably from my lack of sleep. I think some sleep is well deserved.' Issei said as he felt his body shut down from the battles he did online.

But what shocked him next was not something he was expecting.

"Lord Diablo? What's wrong?" A soft and concerned female voice said as Issei's eyes snapped open to see that it was Albedo at his side, looking at him concerned until he saw the Pleadies in the room looking at him the same way.

He could now see that it was Albedo speaking and talking to him but to see her mouth moving, to hear her speak, made him think he was hallucinating or something from his lack of sleep. Fortunately for him, his emotions were suppressed so he wasn't hyperventilating which Diablo felt relief until he tried to figure out what was going on.

"[Message]"

Issei tried to contact the GM with his skill but couldn't which made him concerned even more.

"The GM call function isn't working." He stated blandly, unable to say more until he heard Albedo speak to him.

"My apologies, but I do not know what this GM call function is. Please help me rectify this mistake." The Guardian Overseer responded, sincerity clearly in her voice.

"Yuri." Issei spoke as the NPC looked up to him, awaiting an order. It took him a moment to decide what to do.

'Is it really okay to order them around? Will they even follow my orders?' Issei pondered before giving his command to her.

"Yuri. You and the Pleadies scout the surroundings of the garden. Do not fight unless attacked; if so, then fall back immediately." Diablo said as Yuri nodded before responding to the order.

"Understood Diablo-sama." Yuri said as the maid left with her other sisters while Diablo decided that keeping up appearances as the leader of Eden was important, so he continued to give out orders.

"Also, inform the other guardians of what has occurred and to make sure that there are no intruders in their floors as well. Leave no stone unturned." Diablo commanded as Albedo nodded in response as well before heading

"Understood my lord. I shall make haste and inform them as soon as possible." Albedo said as she began to send the message to the other guardians while Issei was trying to wrap his head around what was going on.

'Okay. Calm down Issei. Let's take this one step at a time. I was in my room playing the game as usual since it was the last day. Went to the Treasury and looked at the Reality Wish. I didn't touch it but I did whisper a small wish to myself and then I headed back to the throne room and sat down as the timer counted down. I was hoping I could see them all again in the sequel of Yggdrasil, and then once the timer was done, I felt sleepy and thought I'd take a small nap but now I'm in my Avatar's body and seeing the NPC's come to life. How is this even possible?' Issei mentally listed and contemplated until he saw Albedo walk towards him and smiled at him.

"Is there anything else I can do for you my lord?" Albedo asked as Issei pondered to himself before internally preparing himself for the question he was about to ask.

"Albedo. I have a request but I do wish for your consent first." Diablo said as he tried to still sound like he was still a fair ruler until he saw Albedo's wings flapping in joy as she got closer to him.

"Of course! What woudl you ask of me to do for you Diablo-sama?" Albedo asked with so much passion in her tone, Issei thought she would ask him to take her there and now but he took a deep breath and prepared himself before he spoke to her.

"May I please touch your chest?" Diablo asked as Albedo titled her head as if she didn't hear him correctly before replying to him.

"Eh?" Albedo said while Issei was internally blushing from his question while he was also confused/surprised by her response.

'Eh? What kind of reply was that!! This is necessary! Just play it cool. Act naturally like it's no big deal!' Issei said as he was trying to keep his mind at bay until he spoke to her. "You don't mind that do you Albedo?" Issei asked before mentally facepalming himself.

'You blew it, rookie!' Issei said to himself before hearing Albedo squeal in joy as she nodded in reply.

"But of course I'll allow you to touch me!" Albedo said in pure joy as she walked towards his left side and pumped out her chest as if she was glad to do it before Issei saw the beach balls in front of him bounce in front of his eyes. Issei swallowed his spit as he reached out and touched her left breast which made Albedo moan in reply as Issei kneaded it so expertly until he let it go and apologized to Albedo but this just made her feel even more happy as she hugged his left arm with her bust swallowing his arm which Issei internally cheered himself for the achievement.

But then the reality of the situation came back as he coughed into his fist before speaking to her. "Albedo. While I do enjoy this we must move onto the more serious matters since I do believe we are no longer in Yggdrasil." Issei said much to Albedo's shock before she let go of his arm and bowed to him.

"You are absolutely right. Forgive me for negligence of the situation we are in." Albedo said before bowing to him until Issei patted her head while amazed at the feeling of Albedo's hair until he coughed in his mouth and replied.

"Yes. Inform the other guardians to meet us in the fighting arena of the Third Floor. There is something that I need to test first." Issei said as Albedo nodded in reply before sending the message to them all before Issei teleported them both to the Third Floor.

Third Floor of Eden: The Test of Strength.

The third floor was filled with sounds of weapons clashing against each other while powerful and strong Amazons were fighting each other in order to impress their leader as the scouts were also searching for possible intruders. Watching them all fight was a woman who was seven feet tall with a FF cup, a nice waist that allows her to have feminine features but also has abs of steel that shattered weapons when struck there. Her hair was long and blood red as if she bathed in the blood of her enemies who failed her challenge. The outfit she wore was black that covered her breasts, waist and below, as well as her arms but her abs were left open for the world to see. Her eyes were sky blue which were similar to the the sky while hefting a giant flaming axe that was a gift to her from her master.

She smiled at them all and was about to stop the sparring match until she felt a presence that was she was very familiar with. She let a large grin etch on her face as she looked at her master teleporting into the arena with the Overseer Albedo.

"Hello Bellona. I'm glad to see that you are enjoying yourself while investigating your floor for intruders." Issei said as the now named Bellona smiled in joy as she greeted her master.

"Ah! Greetings my lord. I'm glad to see you are here. I received Albedo's message and know why your here. Is there anything to report on the outside from the Pleadies yet?" Bellona asked as she enjoyed chatting with the sisters and sparring with them when she was bored of her subordinates. Sure they weren't as strong as her but she still enjoyed a good fight with them such as Yuri Alpha when she was the only one out of the group that stood the smallest chance of inflicting damage to the Amazon Queen.

"I haven't heard from them yet but I do wish to meet with all of the other guardians here once I get the report from Yuri and her sisters. For now I want to test something." Issei said as he walked over to Bellona and threw a gauntlet to the ground.

"Bellona. I challenge you to a contest of strength." Issei said as the other gasped at the challenge since Bellona accepted any challenge from her master which is why the Amazon Queen smiled in glee before nodding in reply.

"I accept your challenge Diablo-sama. What shall the game be?" She asked as Issei walked a bit further away from her before clenching his fists.

"The challenge is simple. A game of tug of war. The strongest one shall be able to pull the flag tied to the rope over the line. One round. Do you accept?" Issei asked as Bellona smiled in joy as she accepted the challenge.

"Challenge Accepted! And if I win, you go one favor I ask but no magic allowed in this competition." Bellona said as Issei nodded in reply.

"Of course. That would ruin this challenge otherwise." Issei said as he took hold of the rope that he was given until Bellona took her end. Albedo stood in the center as she stood in as the referee.

"Now then. The first person to pull the flag over to their side is the winner. Fighters ready?" Albedo asked as both contestants nodded before Albedo yelled. "GO!"

Bellona tugged on her end as she tried her hardest to pull Issei towards her but Diablo stood in place surprising the other Amazons as Albedo smiled before Issei began to pull as Bellona felt herself being pulled towards him slowly as she tried with all her might to keep the flag from his end until Issei gave the rope one final pull as Bellona was pulled towards him before Issei was met with a mountain in the shape of boobs hit him dead on until he was on the ground trying to get up until he heard a purr from the Amazon Queen as she smiled at him with a cat like grin.

"Oh my. If you wanted to feel me that badly then all you had to do was ask Diablo-sama." She said as Issei felt his face heat up a bit before he pushed her off and stood her up ignoring her pout while Albedo glared at the woman for what she did to her beloved Diablo-sama.

'So my Avatar's stats and abilities have been given to me as well as Diablo's form. I'm still not sure how this happened or what's going on but one thing I do know is that I have to continue being the leader of Eden that the other guardians see me as.' Issei mentally said to himself as he felt someone contact him.

{Lord Diablo. We have scouted the area and unfortunately it seems you are correct. The surrounding area of the Garden has changed.} Yuri said as she gave her report to Diablo while observing the area around her with her sisters until Issei nodded in reply as his theory was correct.

"Excellent work. Head to the arena in the third floor so you can inform the other guardians." Issei said as Yuri replied dutifully with a nod and short reply before he looked to see that the other guardians had begun to enter the arena.

"Oh my. It seems I was the first one to arrive." The voice of a calm but elegant beauty said as Issei recognized her as Shaltear Bloodfallen, one of the guardians that he enjoyed having with him while traveling since she was an extremely powerful Bloodsucker but was under the control of a cruel master that he gladly put down.

'Well if I have really become Diablo then that would explain how the others are starting to speak and act like they were alive.' Issei said to himself as he looked to see the vampire smile in joy from seeing her gracious master before hugging him with love. Issei like the feeling until the vampire was dragged off of him by Bellona much to the vampires annoyance.

"Hey! Let me go you Bimbo or I'll tear off those balloons you call breasts!" Shaltear yelled in rage as Bellona rolled her eyes at her.

"Oh give it a rest Shaltear. You were slobbering all over him and the others are coming soon so don't ruin his clothes. He needs to look presentable for the others." Bellona said as Shaltear grumbled a reply until a voice spoke to them all.

"Are you two fighting in front of the master? Honestly you both are such children." A cold voice said as the area began to feel colder as Issei looked to see a tall and elegant woman who screamed the title of perfect housewife but as she was walking on the ground. The air around her began to freeze.

"Ah. I'm glad your here Skadi. I was worried about you since you hate leaving the cold and entering warm areas." Diablo said as he looked at the ice woman who was known back in Yggdrasil as the Ice Queen due to her cold persona and how she showed no mercy in freezing her enemies before killing them.

"I'll stop when this Amazon Bimbo pays with her life!" As Bellona readied herself to fight the vampire. "Just try it you flat chested lamprey!"

Skadi was bored of this show so she summoned her scepter before tapping the ground with the bottom of it as it rushed towards the duo until Issei let out his aura stopping the trio.

"That's enough! Bellona. Shaltear. We have no time to be arguing about such petty things. We have much more pressing matters to attend to." Issei said as Shaltear and Bellona bowed before him with apologetic looks on their faces.

"Forgive is my lord." The duo said as Issei nodded before looking at Skadi as she bowed to him. "I'll always come when you ask of me Diablo-sama." Skadi said as Issei nodded in thanks before hearing others enter the arena.

"I'm telling you Levia. You'll love the new upgrades I'm making for your base." A chipper voice said as a groan replied to the voice.

"Meili. I would sooner die in Luna's floor rather than go to your area and get my weapons while spending more money on your bad prices." Levia said as Meili feigned shock as she barked back.

"Ah! Rude! I'll have you know that my prices are fair and reasonable for all." Meili said before two others entered the arena with them as a tall shadow of sorts titled their head at the arguing duo before looking at the one next to her.

"Hey Reflecta. How come those two are arguing so much?" The Shadow asked as the woman next to her, Reflecta, looked at the duo before relying to the Shadow. "That's how those two are. Greedy species who don't want to spend more money than what it's worth. Unlike Diablo-sama, who gives twice the amount of money to the greedy dwarf when getting his weapons fine tuned." Reflecta said as Issei looked at the four and let a small smile appear on his face as he knew those four all too well.

Levia was a sexy and curvaceous woman with waist that was small but covered in scales to show her dragon side while her legs were a tail instead to have others mistake her for a mermaid. Her hair was bright ocean blue as well as a pair of horns hidden in her hair. G cup. Sea foam green and a voice that is both alluring and seductive.

Meili was a short stack dark elf that had leather armor along with a massive blacksmith hammer that was good for her class and defending herself when adventurers tried to harm her. She had red eyes like rubies that shined in a treasure chest and light red hair that was similar to a furnaces flames and embers.

The one next to Reflecta was a short but well developed woman who wore a massive cloak that covered her whole body from head to toe. The hood of her cloak shadowed her face and covered it completely but Issei knew that she was a kind woman who was lonely and wanted a family. Issei couldn't offer her a family but was able to give her a place for her to call home and she was grateful to him ever since. Her name was Mary. Short for Bloody Mary.

Reflecta on the other hand was a tall woman about seven feet tall like Bellona with physical attributes similar to her while also wearing a black outfit that showed off her curves and assets which were white and gray. Her skin was also a bit rough but sharp like glass since she was a sprit that was trapped in a mirror until Diablo brought her to Eden.

As they entered the arena the other guardians walked in and smiled as they greeted their master.

"Papa!" An excited voice called out as Issei caught the speeding bullet that took on the form of his adopted daughter Luna Bloodmoon who was a special and unique Hellhound that he saved from being killed by some adventurers until a figure came down from above and landed next to Issei before helping him up.

"Master." The soft but curious voice said as the person helped him up. Haruhime. A Queen Harpy that had long white hair, red eyes with curiosity in them. Her feathers on her wings were white to pink then to dark pink. She wore very little clothing but it was enough to cover her sensitive areas and still allow her to fly freely.

"Thank you Haruhime. And I'm glad to see you as well Luna." Issei said as he patted Luna's head which made the Hellhound whine in delight as she enjoyed it when her father did this to her when she did a good job eliminating enemies.

As Issei patted her head, he was then greeted by the last of the Guardians as they smiled at seeing their master.

Azrael, the Guardian of the Tree of Eden. She was an Archangel that left her old master and the other Archangels due to them being nothing more than monsters who have done more harm than good to both humans and supernatural beings. Which is why she was glad to follow and serve Diablo who was a demon but a very powerful and yet kind to others around him.

Next to her was Venua, a plant like monster who was enjoying seeing her son like figure taking care of the Guardians in the arena until she smirked at the two who were standing next to Luna with their heads down as they asked.

"Uh...Master. Can I...um well I-I would-" The Necromancer's sentence was cut short as Issei patted her head which made her blush but happy to be given the special touch that her master had when taking care of his guardians. Luna didn't mind since she knew the Necromancer, Shi, cared about her father like she did until the annoying Slime came up to Issei and pouted cutely as she asked.

"Can't I get one too?" The Violet slime asked as she was then given a head rub by Issei which made her so happy until he stopped to see the Archangel and the Alraune walk towards him before they bowed to Issei.

"Thank you all for coming on such short notice. Yuri and the other Pleadies are coming and will give us the report of the area outside." Issei said as the Pleadies teleported in through a Gate as they then walked towards Issei before they bowed before him.

"My lord. We have returned as you've requested and are ready to fill you in on what is happening outside." Yuri said as Issei nodded in reply, thanking her and the Pleadies of their hard work before Yuri gave her report.

Little did Issei know, he was shocked but he details of the report.

"Grasslands?" Issei asked as he recalled how the castle was in a wasteland with a massive swamp that was poisonous to introducers but not to the residents.

"I'm afraid so. The poisonous swamp that once surrounded the first floor of Eden has been removed so the first floor is now surrounded by some grasslands with a few hills around it." Yuri said as Issei nodded in reply as he spoke to her.

"As I thought. We seemed to have been teleported to another world which means the area outside is completely new to us. We need to prepare ourselves by strengthening our defenses and making sure we don't have any unwanted guests inside of Eden." Issei said as he looked at Venua and asked her. "Venua. Is it possible to create more hills and hide the first floor of Eden?"

Venua pondered the question and nodded. "Yes but it will be difficult to hide the first floor if we just rely on some hills but if we covered the walls with dirt and vegetation then-"

"You wish to smother the walls of Eden with dirt?!" Albedo hissed in anger until Issei stopped her.

"Albedo. Do not make such needless remarks. We are trying to hide from enemies, not invite them in." Issei scolded as Albedo looked down and nodded. "Of course. I apologize Lady Venua and Diablo-sama. That was careless of me."

Issei nodded as he turned back to Venua and spoke to her. "Are you sure it will help keep us safe Venua?" He asked as the plant woman nodded in reply and explained.

"Of course and since we'll have many other hills then it won't look suspicious to others passing by." Venua said as Issei nodded in agreement with this plan before he spoke to everyone.

"Excellent. Then that is what we shall do. Well also use illusion magic to cover areas that can't be hidden by Venus but before we get into it, I must ask you all a question that I want each of you to answer. Pleadies . In your own words, how do you see me?" Diablo asked as Yuri stepped forward and looked at Diablo's eyes before speaking to him.

"A man who is kind to all races both human and nonhuman. You are someone who showed up kindness and compassion as well as giving us a place to live when my sisters and I were together in the slums." Yuri said as the sisters agreed with her reply to their master until Issei moved to Shaltear who smiled at him as she spoke.

"Beauty incarnate. There is no one who is more beautiful and powerful as you are my lord. You are the one I shall serve forever until the end of time itself." Shaltear said much to his surprise before looking at Bellona.

"A man who is truly the embodiment of the true meaning of strength. You are a person I greatly respect as well as enjoy teasing when your here." Bellona said which made Issei chuckle a bit but smile as he looked at the next guardian, Skadi.

"You are the one who shall see my true colors. You blessed me with a kingdom of my own and the one I shall serve with all of my might and body." Skadi said with her same blank voice and facial expressions but Issei could tell that there was a small hint of warmth in her reply.

'She's always been keen to hiding her emotions from others except for me and Naberal. Those two are like a mother teaching her daughter.' Issei pondered before he looked at Meli and Mary as they both replied.

"A generous master who is patient and willing to help out as well if I need it." Meli said as Mary looked down for a moment before looking up at Issei.

"A...A m-man who sees my true face and says the kindest things to me. You are also the one who gave me the warmth that I desired." Mary said as she put her hands on her face as Issei merely patted her head to calm her down, which worked since Mary was blushing but smiling at her master with a grateful smile.

Levia smiled at the two as she spoke to her master. "A man who saved me from my nightmares and gave me a life to where I can be free and rule my own world away from those who wronged me." She said as she recalled how she and her master had met for the first time and she saw the disgust in his eyes when Diablo saw her condition before killing the bastards who kidnapped her. Diablo then set her free and brought her to his castle where she could play in the oceanic floor and defend her saviors castle from intruders.

Haruhime looked at Diablo with a tilted head as she put a talon under her mouth and pondered before responding to his question. "Caring. Loving." She said which Issei gave a short nod her way before turning to the other guardians but Luna beat him as she smiled with her tail wagging happily.

"Papa! You saved me when I left my pack and was just a small pup. Papa gave me home, food, new family and friends. So I will always be happy to serve you Papa." Luna said in joy as Issei smiled a the cheerful Hellhound before looking at Azrael as she smiled at him back.

"A demon who is terrifying in the eyes of his enemies but your heart and soul are kind as an Angel who showed love and kindness to the weakest of humans." She said as Venua smiled as she went next.

"A man who gave me a beautiful garden to tend to and saved my life when I was near death. I'm also more than happy to give you some romantic advice when wanting to court a female." Venua said to Issei's embarrassment which made Bellona chuckle at the plant woman while Azrael sighed at her teammates relentless teasing to their master.

Reflecta then looked up at her master and smiled before replying to him. "My master who set me free from my prison and gave me life."

Sutra nodded in reply as she spoke to Issei. "A man who allowed a weak slime like myself to guard the treasury and stand by my mothers side." The violet slime said as Solution looked back at her and gave her a small smile as Issei smiled at the two of them before turning to the last few.

Shi looked at him a bit nervous until she spoke. "A man who gave me a life filled with warmth and happiness. You came to my castle and when you asked me to become a guardian in your new home, I was worried you would've been tired of me but you took any chance to speak to me and ask me how I was doing. You filled my undead body with so much joy that...I...I love you Diablo-sama." Shi said as Issei was surprised by the confession before turning to see Albedo glare at the Necromancer until Issei hugged the undead much to her surprise as Issei whispered to her which made Shi blush but smile as she nodded in reply before he let her go.

"Albedo. Control yourself and do not harm your family." Issei commanded as Albedo nodded in reply before answering to his question from earlier.

"You are the highest of all beings in this world and the one who saved us from a life of misery, as well as the man I call my love." Albedo said in a loving tone as Issei was caught off guard by the confession before coughing into his mouth.

"Y-Yes. I see. I have heard your replies and ask that you all continue to serve me." Issei said as his Guardians smiled and spoke altogether in reply.

"Lord."

"Now then. It's time to get to work." Issei said before teleporting to his personal quarters but as he sat on his bed, he had a hand over his face. "Ugh. Why do they have such high views of me? Their replies made me happy but they sounded so...serious about it." Issei said as he sighed to himself once more before standing up and looking at his own reflection in the mirror before touching his own face.

"I still can't believe that I became my Avatar Diablo. This doesn't happen everyday so what could've caused this to happen?" Issei asked himself as he began to think of what could've caused it before shaking his head. "No. I need to see this world for myself and learn all I can about it. Perhaps a little flying will help clear my head." Issei said as he teleported to the first floor where he saw the Pleadies doing their best to create dummy hills along with Venua until they noticed him and bowed to him.

"Greetings Diablo-sama. Is there something wrong with what we're doing?" Venua asked as the Pleadies were nervous they messed up already until Issei waved off their concern.

"Do not be so nervous Venua. I merely wished to see what this new world has to offer so I was thinking a little night flight would help me." Issei said as Venua nodded in reply before the Pleadies appeared beside him and spoke their concern for their master.

"But my lord, you should at least have a bodyguard with you just in case of anyone trying to harm you." Naberal Gamma said as Issei pondered this before nodding in reply.

"Very well. Keep up the good work Pleadies, and Venua. I'll be sure to reward you all for work you've done to help Eden." Issei said as he took off into the sky as Naberal cast a Fly spell on herself before she followed him from behind. As Issei soared into the sky with his new wings, he felt new sensations with his new body that he has never experienced before in the game.

'It feels like I've been in this body my whole life. I can feel all of my Avatar's power and magic within me but I don't understand why I was brought to this world.' Issei asked himself as he stopped his flight as he looked in awe at the moon and the stars in the night sky. "Amazing. There wasn't a sky like this back in Yggdrasil. It's so beautiful that I'm sure everyone in Eden would love this."

He said as he continued to gaze at the stars as Naberal approached him. "The stars in the sky glitter like jewels in a treasure box." Issei remarks while looking at the stars until Narberal voiced her own opinion.

"I believe this world exists so you may adorn yourself with it's infinite riches, and we guardians exists to help you do so." Naberal stated as she bowed to her master while Issei thought about it before he turned to Naberal. "You could be right about that, perhaps I was sent to this land to obtain these jewels for myself along with every treasure that shines beneath them. But to hold such things would be the height of selfishness, instead I can use them to adorn the great garden, it's residents, and those under the protection of Diablo."

"If you wish it we will use all the power of Eden to obtain for you my lord." Naberal said with a bow as Issei chuckled at the Naberal's proposal. "We don't even know what exists in this world, it's a little early for a quest." Issei said as he looked up. "Then again it makes me think, the most enjoyable thing now might be taking over the world."

Naberal was surprised by what Issei said out loud as she remembered this moment so she could share it with her sisters and the other guardians. Issei on the other hand.

'Hah. Yeah right. We know nothing about this world so it's better to be safe than sorry but still, if I came to this world then does this mean other players did as well?' Issei pondered to himself as he wondered what this new world held in store.

Unknown Location...

There were soldiers riding on horseback towards a burning village. The view view then shifts to the face of one of the men on horseback. He looks about 30 to early 40's and has a small beard. He wears white armor with blue accents and has a serious and determined look.

A man rides towards Ironwood. "The village is burning!" Gazef gritted his teeth as he sees the smoke coming from the village. 'We're were too late.'

The men began searching the village and gathering any survivors. As the men before look at the damage before them. "Vice Chief, these people need help." The man spoke. "Make sure these people get to E-Rantel safely."

"General." The Vice Chief calls out before Gazef turned towards him.

"Yes what is it?" Gazef asked the man beside him as he asked.

"Something's wrong here. The king ordered us to track down and terminate the bandits that have been attacking villages, right?" The man asked as Gazef nodded in reply.

"That's correct. Why do you ask?"

"If that was the case, then why did they send us here with only fifty soldiers?" The Vice Chief asked. "Especially with Baharuth might be responsible."

"It's a top secret operation." Gazef replied as the Vice Chief spoke.

"You know who's behind this." The man said gaining the attention of his superior. "The noblemen want you to fail. If they could remove the king's most trusted general then they would have a clear path to the throne. It's so transparent that even I could figure it out."

"That's enough Vice Chief." Gazef warned as the Vice Chief tried to reason with him.

"But sir! You know I'm telling the truth. We're walking straight into a trap. Our forces should head back to E-Rantel as fast as possible. If we split up now it'll only weaken us!" The Vice Captain exclaimed. "A few villages may be lost, but that is a small price to pay in order to keep the most powerful swordsman alive."

The general looked at ruins and then said. "I was born a commoner."

"So was I." The vice replied as he too shared the feeling. "I know what it's like to live in these villages, to fear monsters in every turn. Always waiting for death."

"Then you know what it's like to have hope, praying that some out there actually show up and protect you." Gazef said gaining the attention of his comrade.

"Of course, I wished every single day a hero would arrived. But in the end not one person came." The Vice Chief replied.

"Then let us be the ones who do show up!" Gazef exclaimed. "We let these people know to have hope, that their prayers are answered. That heroes do exist."

Misery-driven World

Issei looks at the outside of Eden with a confident smile as he raises the flag of his castle as the other guardians prepared to follow his orders.

The view swapped to a morning view of the garden of Eden, then to a shot of Issei's office as Issei was trying to use a mirror that was in front of him.

Issei was trying to figure out how to use the magic mirror. He waved his arms and the image slowly started to move.

'I just need to know how to work this 'Mirror of Remote Viewing', then we can really secure the surrounding area of Nazarick.' Issei said. He then tried doing a few gestures with his hands and then a few beeps played. Then the sound of hands clapping can be heard, Issei turned to his left. He saw his personal maid for the day Yuri clap her hands to his accomplishment. "Congratulations my lord, I knew you could do it." The maid praised her master.

"Thank you Yuri." The Overlord replied. "I appreciate your support."

"Of course that is my duty as your personal maid. The sole reason why my sisters and I are here in Eden is to carry out your orders. No matter how tedious it might seem." Yuri said as Issei nodded in reply.

"Very well." Issei said though he felt a bit embarrassed saying that before turning his attention back to the mirror. "Let's what's happening in this new world of ours." He said the Ruler of Eden searched through the mirror he spotted something interesting. "A town festival?"

Yuri looked closer at the image as her eyes narrowed at the moving figures before she replied to him. "No. Definitely not."

Issei then gestured his hands to make the mirror zoom closer and what he saw was a massacre. Inwardly, he gasped as he saw that there were knights on horseback chasing villages and killing them. As he looked closer he couldn't believe how unfazed he was by what he was seeing. 'What is wrong with me? Why am I so calm? Is it because I'm no longer human and my mentality changed?'

He asked himself as he took a closer look at the knights. "Those men don't appear to be bandits." Issei said as he swiped to different scenes with knights. One scene he stopped and zoomed closer, the scene showed a man fighting back against a pair of knights. He was cut short by another knight stab him in the back.

As he continue to watch the man slowly die, Jaune notices something. The man looked at him like he was there and mouthed out saying "Please save my daughters."

"What are your orders?" Yuri asked as Issei looked at her before replying to her.

"Leave them be, I see no reason to interfere with their affairs." Issei said with no empathy from what he just saw until a memory was shown in his mind.

Flashback

"Hah! Look at this beautiful girl right here. I think she'll be really good as a breeding bull." One of the Beast Tamers said as Levia hissed at them and tried to fight back but was electrocuted by her captors until she whined in pain as she was trying to find a way out but the Beast Tamers had no intention of letting her go until one of them was stabbed in the back by a sword as a massive figure emerged from the darkness as the others looked in fear at a tall and imposing demon sneering at them as if they were small and insignificant as an insect until he looked at Levia's prison.

"I never would've known that there were disgusting people like you who take advantage of the female demi only to use them as if they are nothing but breeding dogs." The figure said as the light revealed them to be Diablo before he used magic to lock the door behind him as he began to slaughter and massacre the Beast Tamers, who were powerless to even try to fight back as Diablo burned them all to ashes with Black Hellfire.

After the killing spree, Issei looked at Levia and let her out of her prison before he gently caught her in his arms. "It's okay. Did they touch you?" He asked as Levia shook her head slowly as Issei began to carry her out of the slave house before Levia tightened her hold on his shirt.

"Please...Don't leave me... Please take me away from this place..." Levia said as Issei nodded before asking her.

"I will but if I do, will you serve me as one of my guardians? If you do then I'll provide you with a home, others to rule over, an ocean so vast you can swim to your hearts content, and most importantly, safety in your new family." Diablo said as Levia cried happy tears before nodding in reply as she wanted to be free and stay in his arms.

"Yes."

"Hm. It's been a long time since I've seen that memory." Issei said to himself as he stood up before looking back at Yuri. "I've changed my mind. Tell Albedo to keep watch over Eden while you and the other Pleadies join me for this trip. It's time we see how strong these individuals really are." He said as Yuri nodded before running to inform her sisters while Issei sent a message to Albedo informing her of the situation and why he's leaving Eden to investigate the village.

Albedo was persistent in wanting to join him but Issei stopped her saying that Eden must be protected and that as the Overseer of the Guardians, she has a responsibility to defend Eden while he is out. The Succubus sighed at this answer but complied as she understood his reasons. It was shortly after the conversation he had with her, did Yuri and her sisters appear in front of his office.

"Diablo-sama. The Pleadies are ready to head out." Yuri said as Issei nodded in reply before he opened a Gate behind them.

"Then it's time to see what this world has to offer."
