The Kanto Power Plant. Lost to time and abandoned tragically due to a case of financial mishandlings and why so many electricians were scattered all over Kanto. The machinery and dim lights buzz given all the electric Pokémon roaming the place. It was all silent save for the rain and footsteps. Motofumi steeled himself and went in with his Charmeleon, he did not bother send out his Gyarados.
"It seems the Pokémon are rather aggressive today. I hope I can find a Pikachu. They're just so cute." Sissi said as she sent out Voltkin. "Bring me a Pikachu, Voltkin."
Voltkin lumbered on ahead as a Mangeton floated out which Motofumi saw as his chance having Charmeleon pelt it with Ember. Deciding to give the guy a hand, Joe had Nigiri cut in with a Brick Break smacking the metallic Pokémon into a wall.
"Thanks." He said before capturing it. "You got a Full Restore?"
Joe tossed him one as they kept moving through the facility. Voltkin returned to the group with a Pikachu and the trainer it belonged to."
"Hiroko!" Motofumi said as said sister.
"I'd had my fill…can we please go home now?" She said as Voltkin put her and the Pikachu down.
"Sure…thanks for helping us out." Motofumi said before splitting with his sister.
"I feel it…a great surge of electricity."
"I know." Joe affirmed as they kept moving.
He used a Max Repel to keep Pokémon away from them assuring Sissi that Pikachu could be caught in the Safari Zone. All this time, Joe seemingly moved aimlessly and silently scaring Sissi…and he stopped in what appeared a big clear room. Electricity cracked around the room.
"I know you're here and I know you were calling out to me. You want to see if I'm worthy…then come and get me!" Joe cried out.
[Music Ends]
Before Sissi could ask, he came down from with a loud thud. A large, avian Pokémon with predominantly yellow plumage. He had small, triangular eyes with black around them and a long, thin, light orange beak. His wings and tail are a mass of spiky feathers and there are black feathers covering the back of its wings and inner tail feathers. A large crest of spiked feathers surrounds his head. His thighs are tan, and he has thin, light orange legs. He has feet with three forward-facing toes and one backward-facing toe; each toe has a short talon. He crackled with electricity and Sissi was frozen as Voltkin fell to one knee.
"Hail to the master of all electric, thine stormy soul, Lord Zapdos!" Voltkin said respectfully.
Using Extrasensory, Zapdo used his mind to project his voice for all to hear.

"Joe Rogers. So you have accepted my call for a challenge…be wary for I have not lost a battle…to no mere trainer." Zapdos said with a flash of his power rattling the place.
"If you expect to run than you're sorely mistake. You've never lost because you haven't faced a challenge. You haven't faced me yet." Joe said as his eyes hardening. "Nigiri, Psychic! Together with me!"
Nigri sprang forward as both her and Joe's eyes glowed as Zapdos was telekinetically slammed through the wall.
"Pesky psychic." Zapdos said before using Extrasensory causing his eyes to glow gold.
His entire body glowed bright yellow before his whole body gave off psychic shockwaves coming off as electricity which nailed both Joe and Nigiri putting them both on their backs.
"Stocking, what level is it?" Joe said as he and Nigiri had to roll out of the way to dodge Zapdos.
"Level 50, stupid. The electrical field is making it hard to get a proper read on him…."
She was cut off when Zapdos surprised everyone by flapping his wings and using Heat Wave.
"Zapdos can learn Heat Wave?!" Joe said as Nigiri was scorched.
"Moltres is a sweet sister, she thought me well." Zapdos said with one last flap blowing Nigiri through a wall onto the outside.
"Shit, Nigiri!" Joe said returning her. "Ok, so ice isn't an option. May as well fight fire with fire. Ignacia, game on!"
The flame pillar Pokémon came out with a thud as Sissi was moving to get out the way and get Cherry to safety as she had gotten burned. Ignacia's eyes widened at the threat before her and looked back at Joe who looked he was in for the fight of his life. Ignacia whirled back at her opponent and readied to fight.
"About time, I can zap something." Zapdos said with a smirk. "Your move."
"Mach Punch!" Joe said as Ignacia vanished.
She reappeared in front of Zapdos with a glowing fist and socked the legendary in the jaw. The bird glared back at the defiant Pokémon only for his look to turn sinister.
"Wanna see what I learned from my Galarian brother?!" Zapdos said flapping his wings. "Rising Voltage!"
The glowing yellow ground sparked with electricity as Joe caught on to what was going to happen. He had an idea, a dangerously stupid one however.
"Ignacia! Use Thunderbolt to absorb the electricity!" Joe called.
The moment Zapdos erupted the electricity, Ignacia raised her own. Of course, absorbing legendary's electricity which was its natural element hurt like crazy.
"Now, use Fire Punch!" Joe said as Ignacia's eyes hardened.
[Music Ends]
Sissi was outside comforting Cherry only to hear a deafening explosion rock the Power Plant seeing electric Pokémon fleeing in absolute terror.
"Joe?!" Sissi screamed.
(A/N: What happened to Joe?! Next chapter, the fight continues, but we have more of an audience. The show's on the stage and things are going to get crazy.)
