Zane had never cooked with spiders, ingredients or baking assistants. Following Muffet's recipes led to some interesting looking pastries.

"Tea time dearey, you've been working so hard it's time for a break," said Muffet pouring some tea and offering a plate of croissants.

"So dear, what do you think of our pastries?" asked Muffet

"The flavor is interesting, but I think the donut recipe needs more flour so it's a bit less rubbery, the croissants could also use more butter to get a better flakey texture but overall they're pretty good," said Zane

"Hmm, more flour and more butter, I'll have some spiders check our ratios," said Muffet

"Also the prices at the primary sale are rather high, the prices the spiders at the ruins have set are much more affordable for the common monster, other than Mettaton, Asgore, and possibly Alphys, I don't know any monster who could afford almost 10,000 g for a single donut. You'd make a better proffit and sell more pastries if you lowered the price to 10 g on the donuts and 20 on the cider," said Zane

"Hmm, you might have a point dearey, I'll see about lowering the cost. So how have you been getting on with the star of the underground?" asked Muffet.

"Oh, um, well I had fun performing with him last night," said Zane

"Seems like it, all my spiders have been reporting the news to me across the underground, why you're an overnight sensation dearey," said Muffet with a giggle.

Castle, Zane's been in the Underground for two months.

Zane was in his room at his desk. His relationship with Mettaton was going pretty well and he'd just spent the whole night signing autographs. This made Asgore give him the day off from guard duty. His room was covered in glitter now, his outfit shed glitter worse than a dog would shed it's fur. His ninja gi hung in the wardrobe next to his lab coat and stage outfit, he also had a pink apron gifted to him by Mettaton when they finally did their cooking show. His current project was one of immense concentration. Asgore's favorite knit sweater had gotten a hole in it and Asgore was desperate to have it fixed. After Zane learned that it was made by Asgore's adopted child Chara before they died Zane promised he'd ensure it was fixed. The pun on the front was in the same taste as the ones Sans was so fond of. Zane actually thought it would be something Master Garmadon would enjoy wearing. There was also a suit of armor on a stand in the corner, Undyne insisted he wear it. He glanced at it, it reminded him of the time Mad Dummy let Zane practice on him, that had been a disaster, apparently spinjiztu counted as a magical attack. Mad Dummy had been less than pleased but Undyne begged Zane to teach her.

Mettaton burst through the door, he'd gotten scolded by Asgore for using the wall last time.

"Darling I'm here, I decided against the noon episode in order to spend time with you," exclaimed the perky rectangle

Zane smiled and set the sweater down. He flipped Mettaton's switch and the two bots went over to the bed. Once a week they set aside some time to just spend time together. Zane had told Mettaton about how Jay and Nya would cuddle on the couch sometimes to watch a movie and Mettaton was intrigued. Alphys had loaned Zane one of her cheesy Animes so they were watching that again while curled up on Zane's bed. Zane had fallen asleep halfway through the movie and Mettaton was paying more attention to running his hand through Zane's surprisingly soft hair rather than the movie. Mettaton smiled, being with Zane was almost like hanging out with Blooky, both brought out the less self absorbed side of the tv star. Mettaton smiled, maybe his next show would be a romantic comedy with a surprise ending. Monsters seemed to loved romance.
