"Will those who seek power flock to her?"
Kagome shook her head. "It's her own now. She's no different than she was before."
"Unlike you."
She winced at the accusation, biting her lip. "I'm still me."
"You are not."
She sighed. "I am. I haven't lost my memory or changed my appearance. I'm just not covered in glitter anymore."
Her strange idioms were usually endearing, but now they only grated on his nerves and already unsettled stomach.
"You have condemned yourself to an early death for the sake of someone who tried to kill you," he bit out, his resentment towards the wind witch growing by the minute.
"It's not an early death," she argued. "I'm just going to age like a normal human now."
