He still wanted to touch her, to hold her to him to confirm her existence, but he needed something else first.
"I will mate you."
The air stilled around them, Kagome staring up at him in shock, hand dropping away from his chest. "W-What?"
"It will extend your lifeline. You will be as you were before. You will not—"
She shoved him away with both hands, his armour smoking from the intensity of her reiki. "Miko—"
"Are you insane?" she yelled, dark waves lifting off her shoulders, eyes blazing. "I'm fine the way I am! I don't need an extended lifeline! It's part of being human!"
