Mikey found himself in water. The last thing he did last night was that he disbanded toman. So why was he in the water?

He found himself floating around the water. He couldn't remember the last time he went to the beach. So he just enjoyed himself. He didn't know why he was so relaxed but,he just was. Maybe it was because he had no responsibilities currently.

Luffy was surprised to see a person just floating around in the sea. He had just started his journey to become the King Of the Pirates and he already saw something weird. He thought nothing of it.

Mikey didn't notice him until his head bumped on something hard. He quickly lost his balance and his body fell into the salty water, thankfully he closed his eyes quickly enough so it did not go into his eyes.

He pushed himself up so that his head was now out of the water. Mikey then saw a small boat made of wood. He was confused as to why someone would use a boat made of wood and not plastic or rubber.

Mikey then looked up at the boat and saw someone on it. It was a black haired teen with a straw hat and had a red shirt and some blue jean shorts he also wore sandals.

''Hey! I am Monkey D Luffy, the man who is gonna become king of the pirates.'' Exclaimed the newly named Luffy. King of the Pirates? What was that? that Luffy guy must have inhaled some of that good stuff.

Mikey honestly didn't know what to say. He shrugged and held his hand towards Luffy. Luffy took his hand and helped him onto the small boat.

''And what is your name?'' Asked Luffy excitedly. Oh yeah, Mikey forgot to introduce himself. ''My name Is Sano Manjiro, you can also call me Mikey if you want.'' Said Manjiro with a bored face.

Luffy was surprised to hear that Manjiro had a deep voice even though he was clearly younger than himself. He found it unfair but well, nothing you can do about it.

''Well, can you tell me what you meant with king of the pirates, because I have never heard of such a thing.'' Asked Mikey. He had some suspicious thoughts about something.

''What?. You don't know about the Pirate King?!'' He thought everybody knew about it. Oh well why not explain it. ''No, I really don't know. Otherwise I would not have asked.'' Said Mikey.

Luffy then explained everything he knew about it. Manjiro listened to him, absorbing the information given to him.

''So basically some dude named Roger was executed and his last words were about the treasure he found and everyone was hyped and became pirates to find it.'' Muttered Manjiro loud enough for Luffy to hear it.

''Shishishi, yeah that was it.'' Laughed Luffy. ''and you Luffy? What about you? You wanna find it?'' Mikey.

''Yeah, I don't care if I will die while searching for it.'' Exclaimed Luffy. He took off his straw hat and put it into his hand.

''You know, I swore to become a pirate because of a friend. I claimed to surpass him and become the pirate king. He gave me his hat. the one I am wearing right now.'' Said Luffy while looking at his hat.

Mikey just listened to Luffy, he didn't know why, but he felt himself being drawn to Luffy. Maybe it was because he found Shin'Ichiro in Luffy. He wanted to be near him suddenly. Near Luffy.

''Say Manjiro... Luffy made a small pause. Do you want to join my crew? You would be the first one to join.'' Asked Luffy with joy in his voice.

The fifteen year old was a bit surprised to hear these words from Luffy. He hesitated a bit. ''Sure, I don't have anything to do anyways. So I'll join. Captain.'' Said Mikey without a care in the world. He smiled while saying the words that would change his life.

Luffy was overjoyed to hear that Manjiro was joining. He couldn't keep the smile off his face.

''YOSSHH I ALREADY MADE A FRIEND.'' Shouted Luffy. ''Take that Ace, I bet you didn't find a crewmate so quickly.''Exclaimed Luffy.

Who was Ace? Well, that didn't matter for Manjiro now. He felt kind of sleepy. So he just laid down on the boat and laid on his right side to block out the sun. He normally would sleep around a person after knowing them for a year, but he felt weirdly safe around Luffy.

''Hey Luffy. I am gonna sleep, because I am kind of tired.'' Muttered Manjiro to his new captain.

''It's ok, don't worry Manjiro. I'll wake you up if there is trouble, ok?.'' Answered Luffy to his new first crewmate.

After hearing that Mikey closed his eyes and fell asleep in an instant. He dreamed about his time in Toman and all the experiences he has had.

A few minutes later, Luffy was looking at Mikey. He was just staring at him. Wondering about their future adventures. What he just now noticed about Mikey was that his clothes were already dry and he had a bag with him. Luffy looked into the bag, in it were just some clothes, what really caught his eyes were two jackets one was white on it was a man with wings but no head. The other one was black with some yellow writing on it.

There was also some black hair dye, which Luffy found kind of weird.

He himself also wanted to sleep when he was looking at Manjiro but he got reminded of countless hours and days of studying with his grandpa, he drilled everything a navy soldier needed to know into Luffy.

Studying with his grandpa was easily the most boring thing he did in his life. He refused at first because he was gonna be the king of the pirates and not a navy soldier.

But his grandpa threatened him with the fist of love so he obeyed. He taught him about everything he would need to know on sea. Cooking, navigating, although Luffy couldn't navigate even if his life depended on it and much more.

While thinking about these things Luffy missed a whirlpool, meaning a certain someone never got saved and died.

A FEW HOURS LATER

Luffy saw an island not far away, he saw large towers on it with blue and green markings on it.

He rowed slowly towards it, the young captain wasn't in a rush. He already had a crew member so he didn't care about being fast.

After ten minutes he was now in the little harbor of the island. On the sign stood "Welcome to Shells Town signed by Marine Captain Morgan".

He pulled out a rope to attach the boat to one of the pillars on the island. Luffy's little boat had no anchor that's why Makino gave him the rope as a parting gift.

He jumped on to land and stretched his arms to pull Manjiro off the boat.

Luffy carried Mikey on his back, Mikey's soft hair touching his captain's neck area.

He didn't want to wake his first mate up yet, so he let him sleep in peace. His little snores made it much more peaceful.

Luffy searched for a place to eat food and found one, it was a simple tavern.

Mikey slowly woke up, with his eyes still being closed. He guessed that he was being carried by Luffy.

He slowly opened his eyes and realized that they were on land.

''Hey Luffy. Could you please stop carrying me.'' Said Mikey. He didn't really wanna get carried right now.

''Oh Manjiro you're awake.'' Said Luffy, smiling.

Manjiro jumped off Luffy and asked where they were going. His captain said that he found a tavern and that they are going in there to eat.

After a few minutes of sitting a server came to their table they were sitting at.

''What do you guys wanna eat?'' Asked the server. Manjiro thought about it for a few seconds, he's a pirate now so he needs a lot of protein.

''I want lots of meat.'' Answered Luffy.

''Chicken and Rice with vegetables, but with a light sauce so it doesn't taste bland. Three plates of it. Oh and a large cola'' Answered Mikey.

''Okay. 'Coming right up.'' Said the server as she wrote everything on a small note she was carrying around.

The Sano proceeded to take off the jacket he was wearing. He put it next to him.

Mikey looked around the place with a boring look on his face, it was a typical tavern, nothing special. He then looked at Luffy, who was sitting beside him. His skin touched Luffy's skin. It felt nice.

Luffy looked at Manjiro, he wanted to start a conversation with him but he didn't know what to talk about. So he just kept quiet.

''And Captain, any plans on future crew members?'' Asked Mikey out of nowhere.

''Shi shi shi shi. Yes I have thought out everything I want a musician and a cook!'' Said the future captain of the straw hats.

''Hmm, what about a doctor? In case someone gets sick or injured.'' Said Mikey.

''Eh I don't know I never got sick.'' Said Luffy.

Mikey didn't say anything, he just sweatdropped .

''OHH, I also want a pirate flag.'' Said Luffy excited.

''And a ship this big.'' Added Luffy as he looked at Manjiro spreading his arms as long as he could.

Mikey then laid his head on the table as he listened to Luffy. He just wanted to eat, as he was just hungry.

''Here is your food sorry for the wait.'' Said the server who had multiple big plates on her and the soft drink Mikey wanted. She then walked away to serve other customers.

''Hey Manjiro, do you think we can find a crewmate on this island?'' Asked Luffy

''I don't know captain, after we finished eating we both could gather information if you want. Mikey told Luffy.

''Sgey Majo yu a so sma.'' Said Luffy, Mikey tried to decipher the words Luffy meant to say. Something smart Mikey guessed.

Mikey thought about how he used to gather the members for toman in the early days of their gang. He, Draken, Baji, Kazutora, Pah and Mitsuya just used to beat up other crews, that's how they got famous.

That is how they got over 300 members in just two years. But there were some conditions too if someone wanted to join Toman.

The Toman members would just beat the potential members up to see if they could handle a beating. Then in near death he talked to them and wanted to see if they still could talk, if yes he would let them join.

Or they would just join when Toman beat their gang and then the beaten gang would join Toman

In short Mikey just needed to kick ass for people to join his gang. It was damn fun too for Mikey to beat up people.

''You know Luffy, make me the vice-captain of our future crew.'' Said Mikey.

''Okay.'' Said Luffy with a cheery tone in his voice. Why shouldn't he give Manjiro the role of vice-captain.

After eating

Mikey went outside with Luffy by his side. The rice with chicken and these vegetables were really good. Emma's food was always so bland with no seasonings at all, only salt.

''Fuck, why do I have to think about Emma now.'' Thought Mikey to himself. He got over her death, but it still hurt. His mood got much worse.

Luffy knew something was up with Mikey because the look in his eyes was sad. He didn't know how to comfort somebody.

''Hey Manjiro… When you need help, please know that I am always there for you.'' Said Luffy suddenly.

Mikey didn't know how to respond, but now he knows that his captain has incredible emotional intelligence. He didn't want Luffy to worry about him so he just smiled and said that everything is okay.

''Okay, good to know.'' Luffy was now back as usual with a smile on his lips.

Mikey wanted to change the subject to getting a new crew-member but he got interrupted by someone.

''OIII YOU FORGOT YOUR JACKET.'' Shouted a little girl, who came up to them and handed Mikey his jacket.

The jacket had been a present from his grandpa for his fifteenth birthday. Mikey usually wore it like a cape.

''Thank you, here take this gift from me.'' Said Mikey as he handed her a lollipop. He smiled when her face beamed up.

She then went on her way, but not before Mikey asked where a little girl like her was going.

''I am gonna bring rice balls to Zoro.'' Answered the girl.

''Who is Zoro?'' Asked Mikey. The girl said the name like it was common knowledge to know who he is. Manjiro was of course interested in Zoro.

''Just come with me and I'll show you guys.'' She said.

The two agreed to come with her. On the way there she explained everything she knew about the guy named Zoro.

''The grown-ups say that Zoro is a demon in human form, but I don't think so. By the way, my name is Rika.'' Said the newly named Rika.

''Huh, why should he be a demon in human form.'' Asked Mikey confused.

''I don't know, all he does is hunt pirates.'' Answered Rika.

''Maybe the rumors started through pirates so he gets a bad name.'' Thought Mikey to himself.

''We could invite him to our crew, what do you call Luffy?'' Manjiro asked his captain.

''If he's a good guy then why not.'' Luffy answered.

''Wait, you people are pirates? Then why are you so nice?'' Rika asked the both of them with a confused look on her face. Her mother always told Rika to stay away from them so why were these pirates so nice?

''Yes we are pirates. Do they have a bad reputation? Because I became a pirate today I don't know much about them.'' Mikey answered Rika. He really didn't know if pirates had a bad reputation.

''Shit I don't know if I really am in a different world, well takemitchy could time-leap so why shouldn't traveling to a different world than mine be so weird. If it really is true I gotta check out the library and check out the history and geography. I hope the future is going good for Takemitchy and the others.'' Thought Mikey to himself.

Mikey never went even once to a library but he doesn't want to feel out of place so he got to fake an origin story just in case.

''Why do I feel weirdly out of character? No Manjiro it's not weird to be wanting to go to a library so you can really check if you are in your original world.'' Mikey thought to himself.''

''And now SHUT THE FUCK UP BRAIN!'' Mikey shouted in his thoughts.

''Here we are, behind this wall is Zoro oni-san.'' Rika said as she pulled a ladder out of nowhere.

''How do we get him to join the crew now.'' Said Mikey out loud.

''Just climb up Manjiro.'' Said Luffy as he jumped onto the wall.

Mikey did what Luffy said and jumped onto the wall too and stood on it.

''What do you say Manjiro?'' Asked Luffy his first mate with a excited smile on his face.

''I think-
