The marquees on the wall were lit and it was time to battle.

"Dewgong, I choose you!" Lorelei said sending out the Sea Lion Pokémon.
Crimson scanned it with his Dex and looked a bit relieved to see that his Pokémon had at least one or two levels after what he saw so far. He put it away knowing it was not just about levels. It was a matter of who could battle with the decks they had.
"Rhint, game on!" Crimson said sending out his Blastoise.
"Megahorn!" Lorelei said as Dewgong's horn glowed bright green before rocketing off at Rhint.
"Ready a Mega Punch, but don't clash paths with Dewgong's attack." Crimson said as Rhint's left fist glowed white. "NOW! Dodge it and grab her!"
Dewgong's horn nicked Rhint's face as he grabbed her by the tail with his free hand before pulling her into getting a face full of Mega Punch.
"Ice Beam!" Lorelei said as Dewgong's mouth glowed blue.
"Crunch!" Crimson said as Rhint sank his jaws in Dewgong.
Dewgong screeched firing off the Ice Beam managing to freeze Rhint, but because he was still biting down on her…she was trapped.
"Damn it!" Dewgong screamed.
Lorelei thought it over. At the angle Dewgong was trapped, Iron Tail was not an option. Other attacks simply were not going to do, thus she returned Dewgong sending out Lapras instead. Crimson flinched as Lapras was at a solid level 60. Worse case was she knew Water Absorb, and he returned Rhint to send out Tessa.
"Electric Terrain." Crimson said as Tessa lit up the arena.
"Hail." Lorelei said as Lapras' eyes glowed.
A cloud formed over the arena making it rain hailstone much to Crimson and Tessa's annoyance.
"Blizzard!/Rising Voltage!" Both trainers roared as their Pokémon readied their attacks.
Blizzard would hit due to the hailstorm blasting the air with cold and torrents of lightning bolts rose from the ground. The combined attacks made an explosion of cold smoke that decorated the arena kicking up freezing wind. Both sides had taken damage, but it did deter theme.
"Lapras, Bulldoze."
"Another Rising Voltage!" Crimson said as both attacks hit.
"Damn you." Tessa said stumbling as Lapras fall over. "I'm sorry, Crimson."
WHUP! Tessa was out cold forcing Crimson to return as Lorelei did the same.
"Well well, I'm not disappointed, but it looks like your terrain is going to not be in use. Now, Dewgong, come back out." Lorelei said sending Dewgong out.
"Kimiko, light up my fire!" Crimson said as out came Kimiko.
"…It's a little too wet to be playing with fire, isn't it?" Lorelei said. "The floor's all wet."
"I never said I was going to play with fire." Crimson said with a cackled. "Kimiko, Thunder Punch the ground!"
Given that Electric Terrain was in play, one could see the look of complete horror on both Dewgong and Lorelei's face as Kimiko hit the ground with her electrified fist.
"You son of a bitch!" Dewgong screamed while being shocked.
As the glowing field around the arena and the hailstorm faded, Dewgong was one a crispy Pokémon out cold.
"Not so funny now, is it, Miss Bulldoze?" Crimson snarked as she returned her Dewgong.
Lorelei sent out Jynx, but the ball had fallen in Crimson's favor. Jynx's Forewarn may have exposed Flamethrower, but she fell to Blast Burn. Kimiko was swapped for the frozen Rhint, and Jynx was swapped for Alolan Sandslash.
"Iron Tail!" Lorelei said as Sandslash's glowed gunmetal gray.
Sandslash flipped into the air to come down with his tail.
"I planned to not do this early, but then again I also planned to get have a Pokémon faint to you." He said before activating his Mega Band as his aura surged. "Rhint, let my bond with you to flow like water. Now Mega Evolve and use Aura Sphere!"
The surge of Crimson's aura and Mega Energy shattered the ice on and around Mega Rhint as he took aim.
"Checkmate." Rhint said as he tried out of the big canon.
A critical hit. The Alolan Sandslash was out cold leaving Lorelei down to her final Pokémon which was her Mamoswine.
Mamoswine bellowed out as Rhint stared her down.
"Fissure!/Hydro Canon!" Both trainers cried.
Unfortunately, it all came down to speed. Unfortune…for her. The force of the attack sent Mamoswine hurdling into the wall leaving a big dent in it where the unconscious Pokémon was in stuck in.

Lorelei was open mouthed in shock for a moment before wordlessly returning her Pokémon as the wall began to repair itself.
"Impossible. Things shouldn't be this way." Lorelei said.

She faced Crimson as the way forward opened for him.
"You did not disappoint at all. I assumed I could take you, but you're better than I thought." Lorelei said before giving him the prize money. "Go on ahead. Be warned, this is only a taste of what the League has to offer."
"Yeah, I'm well aware." Crimson said before leaving through the door.
Lorelei left herself heading to drop her Pokémon to the center before going to the 'break room' called the Loser's Longue. Lorelei was a bit salty over being here, but she did get to watch Crimson's future fights from here.
"Let's see how far you go, kid." Lorelei said.
Crimson wasted no time healing his Pokémon and removing his hat and shades to put away. He unzipped his jacket before getting out a Focus Band to tie around his head.
"The next challenge awaits." He thought as he moved forward.
(A/N: Crimson's at his best and honestly Lorelei isn't exactly too much of the challenge. If anything, she's only mildly annoying because she has Water mixed with some of her Ice types. She also had a Slowbro in FR/LG which wasn't even an Ice type. Yes, each Elite Four Member will have their own encounter theme, battle theme, and one new Pokémon. Lorelei used five, but the rest onward will use six. We're in the home stretch!)
