"Says the woman who opened up the gates of hell, specifically when I was not home to stop her."
She pursed her lips, unable to offer a counterargument, causing him to chuckle before placing a chaste kiss on her brow.
"I thank you for your kind heart, Kagome. And I am sure Mother will reiterate the same message, but do not attempt such an imprudent feat again." His arms tightened around her when he felt her steel herself to reply. "Please."
She wasn't sure she'd heard the last word, but she wrapped her arms around him, nonetheless.
