Apparently, she was more obvious than she realized because as soon as Sesshoumaru and his mother moved to take a walk around the garden, Kagura leaned over and said, "Inuyoukai are different than humans. They don't have any qualms about public affection."
Heat crept into Kagome's cheeks. "Inuyasha was always—"
Kagura snorted, leaning back against the tree. "That mutt was raised by humans. And had to fight for his place from the start."
She couldn't argue that. Inuyasha had probably sought out any affection he could when he was young and been immediately rebuffed.
"Besides, he's already scent-marked you anyway."
Blue eyes widened in confusion. "Scent-marked?"
Kagura rubbed the side of her own neck. "Means he's claimed you. And anyone who says otherwise is in a for a nasty surprise."
