Her apology to Shippou for not sticking around to eat his kill was interrupted by a jaw-cracking yawn, the first rays of sunlight, and Inuyasha's subsequent transformation, reminding her that she hadn't slept yet.
"I'm fine," she said as Sesshoumaru ushered her out of the garden.
"If you argue, I will be forced to take drastic measures," he replied, giving her a sideways glare.
Biting the inside of her cheek, she stopped, eyes gleaming. "Like?" Her question turned into a squeak as he lifted her into his arms, not breaking stride as he continued down the hallway.
She could've protested, but she'd known what was coming and just snuggled into his embrace, once again glad for knocking off his armour.
