And we're back!
On to On the job training for Haru!
"You've all got your costumes, Right? Obviously, wearing them in public is prohibited, and don't lose them either."
Aizawa stood with the students at the train station.
"GOT IT!"
Everyone responded before going their separate ways.
"Good luck Bakugo."
Haru smiled at him as they had a moment of privacy waiting on their trains.
"You too extra, you're going to need it."
Haru laughed.
"Try not to pass out on your Hero."
Haru lightly nudged Bakugo.
"Hey! Don't lose your temper!"
The pair laughed for a second before Haru's train pulled into the station and she had to leave.
With Toshinori
"DNA analysis? On NOMU?"
Toshinori sat across from the detective.
"We're not requesting help from you with the investigation so it'll constitute an information leak, but...I came thinking I needed to tell you. We've found a clue toward finding the mastermind. From the time he was apprehended, we've tried everything. It seems he's not simply keeping his lips zipped, he won't react no matter what we do...Just as his name suggests, he's totally braindead. Then we looked into his background through DNA analysis, and...he's got a criminal record. Battery and blackmail...we're talking a small time thug here. Plus, we came to uncover that he has the DNA of at least four completely different people mixed into his own."
Toshinori looked at the mug shot the detective handed him.
"Is this...Is it human?"
"It looks as though his entire body's been tweaked and fooled around with by drugs or the like. Putting it in cheaper terms, he's an artificial human who's been made to measure up to multiple quirks. The striking drop in his brain activity seems to result from that load on his body. In any case, the issue of his DNA is more germane than the state of his body. The fact that it contains multiple quirks, that is. Unless the DNA he's assimilated is some kind of genetic familial permeation he couldn't have acquired multiple quirks that way. Someone like you who holds One for All should understand that."
"No, this is probably the work of. A quirk that can grant quirks."
'How would he know about Haru.'
Toshinori questioned himself as his mind raced.
Meanwhile Haru arrived at her destination with a couple other students she didn't expect; Momo and Itsuka from Class 1-B. After they changed into their costumes they stood in Uwabami's dressing room watching her get ready.
"I hear of people who, in the days it was all determined by official duties, had quite some trouble but these days you can get a big push from your popularity with civilians and how in demand you are with them. And that's how it is! Plus we're allowed side jobs as well. To that end, I actually have a commercial to film now! Why don't you get to know each other!"
Haru sighed.
"But I wanted to go experience more, you know...heroic things."
"No kidding."
Haru had to agree with Itsuka, while Momo tried to disagree.
"No! This, too, is a path one cannot avoid if one aims to become a pro! Besides, she has graciously taken a look at me, who has been bereft of good points. I shall have her allow me to study her a great deal indeed!"
Itsuka looked impressed while Haru looked tired.
"Damn, girl, you're going all out."
"You get used to it."
Haru mumbled as they followed their Hero.
A week passed and Haru was anything but thrilled, so far all they had done was be secretaries and were in the background for a commercial of hairspray. She was thankful that they were going back to class tomorrow.
"Well, that was a massive waste."
Haru muttered as the trio walked out of the office and to the train station.
"Did you two see the news?"
Haru sighed as her shoulders dropped.
"That basically the rest of our class got to take down the Hero Killer? Yeah."
Momo patted Haru's shoulder as they boarded the train to go home. Pulling out her phone she decided to check in on Bakugo, she hadn't been able to speak to him since they went their separate ways.
H:How'd your week go?
It didn't take long for her phone to buzz with a new message.
B:Waste of time. Yours?
Haru smiled, at least she wasn't the only one that didn't have a good week.
H:That bad? At least you weren't a secretary for a week
Another buzz had Haru laughing out loud, Bakugo had sent her a picture of his new hair style with the caption 'It's stuck'.
H:Could always shave it.
B:I'm not shaving my damn hair
H:Better hope that comes out by tomorrow
I know this one was short but bear with me.
Next chapter coming up!
