I'm back!
I just realized I was spelling Bakugo wrong and I apologize for that!
I promise I fixed it this chapter!
Enjoy!
First Day Of Training Camp!
Class A rolled their eyes as Class B taunted them while waiting to load the buses.
Haru stood in line talking excitedly to Ochako and Bakugo stood off to the side watching everyone before they were finally allowed to load the bus and take off towards their destination. Haru took her seat next to Bakugo and smiled at him as her classmates found their seats and started talking as the bus moved.
"I wonder where we're going?"
Haru smiled as she looked out of the window.
"Who cares?"
Bakugo muttered.
"I have a feeling this isn't going to be as fun as everyone thinks."
Bakugo gave her a questioning look.
"This is training camp afterall. And this has been an unusual year for UA, I can't imagine this going to be a fun filled packed week. More like they are probably going to train us till we drop."
Bakugo sat back and closed his eyes in thought while Haru pulled out her phone and some earbuds and listened to some music until the bus came to a stop an hour later. Everyone hopped out of the bus and stretched looking at the mountains.
"What kind of rest stop is this?"
Someone asked while another pointed out Class B wasn't there. Haru focused on the lone car and got a sinking feeling she was right earlier.
"Of course we stopped here for a reason."
Aizawa stated before being interrupted by a voice behind him.
"Heya, Eraser! Sorry, haven't seen you in a while."
Everyone turned to see two hero's with clawed mittens and tails wearing short skirts.
"We're the wild, wild pussycats!"
Midoriya became excited while the girls looked unimpressed.
"This whole area here is our territory. Your lodging is at the foot of that mountain over there."
Haru got a bad feeling as everyone started to question why we stopped half way.
"It's now 9:30 A.M. I'm thinking around noon, at the earliest. Kitties who don't make it there by 12:30 won't get any lunch."
At the time Aizawa said sorry the Hero's created a giant landslide that sent everyone sprawling down the mountain.
"Three hours?"
Bakugo helped Haru up as some of the students complained about having to walk and some questioned why it was called Beast's Forest. That was until an actual beast appeared growling at them with giant teeth.
"Screw this."
Haru took off running and blasted fire at the beast with her classmates right behind her, tearing through the beast. The class continued down the mountain as fast as they could, destroying beasts as they went. Finally after hours the class made it to the lodging.
"It'll only take three hours." Yeah, Right"
The Hero's laughed.
"Sorry. That's how quick we could've made it."
"Mew Mew Mew. We actually thought it'd take you longer. And you dealt with my Earth Beast pretty easily too. Not bad. Especially you five. I'm guessing your past experiences allowed you to act without hesitation?"
The kid was introduced as one of the Hero's nephews, Kota, who punched Midoriya in the junk as soon as he introduced himself, causing Haru to laugh.
"Go get your luggage from the bus. Drop your things off in your rooms, then come to dinner in the mess hall. After that, you'll bathe. Then it's bedtime. The real training starts tomorrow. Now hurry up."
The class followed Aizawa's instructions and went to fetch their luggage, boys went to one room while the girls went to the other. Claiming a bed near the door, Haru smiled to herself before following her classmates to the dining hall where there was a feast waiting for them. Happily she took a seat next to Bakugo and started digging in listening to the conversations around her as the Hero's explained that the feast was only for one day. After getting their fill the class separated, the girls went to their bathing area and the boys went to theirs. Haru undressed and slid into the water with her classmates as they relaxed in the hot springs.
"So, Haru?"
Haru looked over at Ochako.
"Why do you want to be a hero? You're the only one that hasn't said why you want to be one."
Haru looked thoughtful for a moment before smiling sadly.
"I want to be a hero because I don't want to end up like my parents. I want to help the people that have become victims of villains."
Her answer took her classmates by shock for a moment before Momo decided to ask what everyone was wondering.
"Why wouldn't you want to be like your parents? Were they villains?"
Haru sighed.
"Yes, they were. They were horrible people and I don't even know where they are. I haven't seen them since I was five."
Ashido decided to voice another question.
"Why haven't you seen them since you were five?"
Haru sighed deeply, knowing her story would change the way her classmates saw her and debating on if she should tell them or not until Mineta screaming caught her attention as the girls looked up to see Kota shoving Mineta back onto the boys side before he could see the girls.
"Thanks, Kota!"
The girls yelled causing the boy to look down at the girls and fainted onto the boys side.
"Is he ok?!"
Haru yelled through the face to be answered by Midoriya yelling back that he just fainted but was ok.
"Well, that's a relief."
The girls looked at Haru waiting for her to answer their question.
"I'm not ready to talk about it. Maybe later."
The girls nodded in understanding as Haru sank back into the water.
The next morning everyone was dressed in their gym outfits and standing in the field behind the lodging looking at Aizawa.
"Morning, kids. Today, the real training camp begins. Ideally, you will all emerge stronger. Strong enough to acquire your Provisional Licenses. More specifically, there's a growing hostile force out there. Through this, you'll be prepared to face it. So stay sharp and work hard. To start. Here, Bakugo. Try throwing this. This is from the strength trials. Last time, right after school started, your record was 705.2 meters. How much have you grown since then?"
The class was excited and encouraged Bakugo to throw the ball. Swinging back Bakugo through the ball with a large blast behind it only for the reader to read.
"709.6 meters."
Aizawa read outloud and showed the class.
"Yes. You have been through a lot these past three months. Undoubtedly, you've all grown. But it's only your techniques and minds that have matured. Well, and your bodies, a bit. But as you've all just seen, your quirks haven't kept up with the pace. Starting today, you'll improve on your quirks. This'll be so harsh that you'll wish you were dead, so do your best to stay alive."
Haru sighed as she took her place and started shooting fire into the air, her body shook with the force as she focused on keeping the stream steady. Before switching to her fire whip and focussing on making it longer and keeping it solid for longer before going back to her regular fire. As the hours passed everyone was breathing heavily as the clock hit 4 P.M. and the students were allowed to eat. Haru cursed as the Hero's explained that they would be cooking for themselves. Bakugo and Ochako had to grab Haru before she pounced on Ida for being excited about making curry.
The students broke into groups, Haru and Todoroki were in charge of making sure all the fires stayed lit.
"Bakugo. You can't make fire with explosions."
"Just watch me, dammit!"
Haru laughed as she walked over, placed a hand on Bakugo's shoulder before using her flame to light the fire Bakugo had almost blasted into oblivion.
"I had it extra!"
Haru giggled and patted his shoulder.
"Sure you did."
Finally the food was finished and everyone dug in to eat. Before calling it a night and going to bed. Unaware of the danger that was waiting for them.
That's it for this one!
Drop a review and I'll see you in the next one!
