Chapter 3
The Castle of Lust and The Pillager of Twilight
After having a nice lunch to which Sojiro was impressed by Sadayo for making both the Curry and the Coffee. But Ren was still the better cook.
After having a hearty meal of Coffee and Curry Futaba went back to playing the game.
"Alright then back to fray." Futaba said as she grabbed the Controller.
Futaba unpaused the game, Game Ren sees Game Sojiro leave and decides to go to bed only for the downstairs phone to ring. Game Ren goes down to answer it. Game Sojiro called him to flip the sign from Open to Closed since he forgot to do it. Game Ren did just that.
"Huh down to the last detail I actually did that." Sojiro said as he rubs the back of his head.
"No problem Boss." Ren said as Lavenza giggled.
Game Ren went to bed and looked at his phone thinking about his new school only to see the same app. Game Ren thinks about Rebooting his phone to see if that would get rid of it. Soon he falls asleep.
"Oh god today is the day." Ann said as she shivers.
Hey I like what they did with calendar. Zenkichi said as he sees the dagger fall on the number.
"But why are there X's on it? It's obviously the year 2016." Akane pointed out.
"No clue Akane-chan but hey is time to see how Ren gets his Persona." Futaba said as she continues playing.
"Persona?" Akane, Sojiro, Sadayo, Tae and Sae said at the same time.
The group sees Game Ren already dressed in his school uniform ready for the and not wanting to be late.
Sadayo snorts knowing full well that it wasn't happening.
Game Ren goes down stairs to see Game Sojiro had served him a plate of Curry and a cup of Coffee.
So, you're actually going to school, huh? Here, I'll feed you. Just make sure you finish it before the customers start coming in. Game Sojiro said as Ren sat down and ate.
Game Ren loved the Curry and the Coffee was a godsend. Soon the plate was empty.
It's time for you to go. Game Sojiro said as another choice appeared.
Futaba made her choice and Game Sojiro smiled for a bit before telling Ren to head to School.
But just before Game Ren left Game Sojiro told him to flip the sign and Game Ren did just that.
"Ok then thank the gods of the world that the guide is ordered Month by Month." Futaba said as she explored the Subways and looks at the guide.
"Say why you looking at the guide for Futaba?" Sojiro asked.
"Oh I assumed earlier that this game has multiple endings and I want the best ending. So I'll be using this guide to help me do just that." Futaba said as made Game Ren enter the Ginza train.
After Game Ren went into the train the game goes back to Leblanc to see Game Sojiro serving a customer. The customer was complaining about the Spring Rains. While Game Sojiro wonders if Game Ren has an umbrella.
As Game Sojiro makes the Customer's Coffee the Customer tells him about all of the freakish accidents that had been happening.
"Oh right the Psychotic Breakdowns and Mental Shutdowns were happening at its peak that year." Zenkichi said.
"That's correct Zenkichi they were at an all-time high." Sophia said as Futaba got Game Ren out of the station.
"Shido tried to keep it a secret. I'm glad you stopped him." Sae said.
A cut scene was now playing where Game Ren was standing under a store roof and next to him was Game Ann.
"Even in a video game you're still the most beautiful woman I know." Morgana said.
Ann was about to say something until Morgana interrupted her.
"Yes I know you're a lesbian and I've accepted that but I still reserve the right to claw out Shiho's eyes if she breaks your heart." Morgana said.
Ann came out as a lesbian after a graduation party and like any type involving teenagers there was illegal booze. Ann and Shiho kissed and played for a bit. At first they denied it but then they dated and fell in love. After coming out everyone in her friend group supported her even Morgana.
Though he silently cursed that he couldn't drown his sadness in ice cream. He would support his lady Ann and Lady Shiho.
"Ok that's fair Morgana." Ann said as she pets Morgana.
"Thanks Lady Ann." Morgana happily said.
Game Ann turned to look at Game Ren for a moment until turning away only to see a Car pull up. The window opened up to reveal Suguru Kamoshida.
"Good Morning. You want me to give you a ride to school? You're going to be late." Game Kamoshida said.
"Um, sure. Thank you." Game Ann said as she gets into the car.
Game Kamoshida asks Game Ren if he wants a ride as well but Game Ren kindly refuses and they drove off.
But then Game Ryuji appears running.
"Enter the ape." Morgana shouted.
"Screw you cat!" Ryuji shouted back.
"I'm not a cat!" Morgana countered.
"Will you two kindly be quiet Ryuji-kun?" Haru sweetly said.
"Yes Haru-Chan." Ryuji said
"Yes Madam." Morgana said.
"Wow Haru seems to wear the pants of that relationship." Sophia said with cheer.
"Dammit… Screw that pervy teacher." Game Ryuji said.
"…Pervy teacher?" Game Ren said as the Metaverse App recorded his voice.
Game Ryuji overheard him and looked at Game Ren.
"…What do you want? You plannin' on rattin' me out to Kamoshida?" Game Ryuji asked.
Game Ren asked who Kamoshida was and Game Ryuji explained who he was and how he acts like the king of a castle. Not knowing that it was providing the Metaverse App the keywords for the Palace.
"Hold up hey Renny what were the Keywords for Kamoshida's Palace?" Futaba asked.
"Suguru Kamoshida, Shujin Academy, Pervy Teacher and Castle." Ren answered.
"Hold on does that…you know what I'm just gonna wait until then." Zenkichi said.
Game Ren and Ryuji for a moment felt light headed. Then the date began to accelerate to Game Ren's interrogation.
Game Sae was explaining and recapping about the Psychotic Breakdowns and the day Game Ren went to school. It soon came back to Game Ren and Ryuji walking to Shujin only to see a giant Castle in its place.
After Game Ryuji confirmed that this was indeed Shujin Academy the both of them enter the castle.
"Ok I now know the full extent of the phrase seeing is believing now." Sae said as she saw Kamoshida's palace.
"My god he really saw the school as his castle." Makoto said.
"Oh goodness this feels so wrong." Haru said disgusted at Kamoshida's Palace.
"This is how he saw the school? It's just wrong." Sumire said not finding the words.
"I knew the guy was full of himself but good lord." Sadayo said.
"That's nothing wait till you guys see Kamoshida." Ryuji said.
"Um why do I have the sudden need to pour bleach into my eyes Renny?" Futaba said.
Ren and Ryuji said nothing as Futaba kept playing.
The two students wondered what was going on when a bunch of knights surrounded them as they knock down Game Ryuji and Game Ren. Then Futaba is given a prompt to save.
As Futaba saves the game the others discuss the Palace.
"Ok this is f'ed up." Futaba said.
"It's only gonna get worse from here once you see Shadow Kamoshida." Ryuji said.
Futaba didn't know what to say but just went back to playing.
Game Ryuji wakes Game Ren when they find themselves in a dungeon.
After a bit a bunch of shadows knights came up with Game Shadow Kamoshida.
Dressed in nothing more than a red cape with pink hearts, a crown and…a pink Speedo.
"OH GOD!" Sadayo shouted.
"MY EYES!" Makoto and Sae shouted at the same time.
"I CAN'T CLAW MY EYES OUT FAST ENOUGH!" Sumire shouted as she tries to claw her eyes outs.
"Thank god I need glasses to see." Futaba said as she takes off her glasses.
"I'm going to get bleach." Yusuke said as Ren sat him back down.
"Its times like this I'm glad I'm an AI." Sophia said happy that she can delete her memory at will.
"Lucky you squirt." Zenkichi said as he covers Akane's eyes.
"Thank Philiemon I was in the Velvet ro…oh right I think I need 150 proof vodka." Lavenza said.
"No just fucking no." Tae said.
"Sojiro do have any paper bags?" Kuon asked.
"I'll get them right now?" Sojiro said as he gets the bags.
Game Shadow Kamoshida proceeds to beat Game Ryuji and after he drops him on the ground Game Shadow Kamoshida spits on him. Game Ren tells him he had lost his mind.
Game Shadow Kamoshida kicks Game Ren to the Ground and tells his knights to kill Game Ryuji.
While two more Knights hold Game Ren down. As Game Ren hopelessly looks at Game Ryuji as he begs for his life. He hears the voice of a young girl (I.E Lavenza).
This is truly an unjust game… Your chances of winning are almost none. But if my voice is reaching you, there yet maybe a possibility open to you…" The voice said.
You're kind of cutting it close Lav! Futaba said.
I'm sure Ren will be fine after all he is here. Lavenza pointed out.
Ok that's fair. Futaba said.
After the first voice said its piece another voice began to speak.
"What's the matter...? Are you simply going to watch? Are you forsaking him to save yourself? Death awaits him if you do nothing. Was your previous decision a mistake then? The second voice said.
Game Ren look around before having a small flashback. Afterwards Game Ren steeled his resolve.
Very well... I have heeded your resolve. The second voice said as Game Ren began to have a massive headache and Ren screams in pain as tears comes out of his eyes.
Well shit this is bring back some memories. Ren said.
Yeah and, you know what I'm not gonna spoil it but don't surprised if Dr. Legs checks your face. Ryuji said.
Um why would I need to check his face as if he's in serious pain? Tae asked only to be ignored.
Vow to me. I am thou, thou art I... Thou who art willing to perform all sacrilegious acts for thine own justice! Call upon my name, and release thy rage! Show the strength of thy will to ascertain all on thine own, though thou be chained to Hell itself!" The second voice demanded as Game Ren tells Game Shadow Kamoshida to stop.
Game Shadow Kamoshida turns around shocked at Game Ren. That the knight that had Game Ryuji in a choke hold released him. Another knight knocks Ren's glasses off his face.
A cutscene showing Game Ren being held down by the knight as Game Shadow Kamoshida gives the order to kill Game Ren when suddenly a big gust of wind pushes them back.
The awakening of Joker I'm so excited. Akane said.
After the wind dies down Game Ren had his head down only to raise it up again this time with a mask on. Confused he tries to take it off and he did only for blood to spill out of his face. He looks at all of them and gives an evil grin only to be covered by a blue flame.
The flame rises up revealing Ren in his Phantom Thief attire.
The figure behind him has, from top to bottom: a very tall top hat, a long-horned mask for its face, a cropped red eighteenth century-esque suit worn open with the collar popped, stitched heart designs on the shoulders, a white ruffle tie, a black, tailed corset running down its torso; large, black, feathery wings starting at around the small of its back; claws; red coverings on its legs resembling pants and boots with blade-like heels.
And with a single wave of Game Ren's Arms along with the Figures arms and wings all of the knights were knocked down.
Game Ryuji looked at them with awe and the cutscene with Ren and the figure ready to fight.
And as Ryuji Predicted a panicked Tae rushed towards Ren examining his face to see any scaring or infections.
"Ok, ok from the looks of things you're alright. Now I don't if it's technically spoilers who else ripped their faces off!" Tae demanded.
Ryuji, Ann, Yusuke, Makoto, Haru, Sumire and Zenkichi all rose their hands as Tae inspected and examined them.
"Ok did it hurt for you lot as well?" Tae asked.
They all responded with it only hurt the first time around.
"Ok I have that is fucked beyond belief. Ripping masks off your face as if they were super glued to their faces." Tae said.
"(At least they didn't put fire fake guns on their heads)." Lavenza thought.
"I am the pillager of twilight —"Arsène"! The now named Arsène said.
"What the…" Game Ryuji said still shocked at this.
"I am the rebel's soul that resides within you. If you so desire, I shall consider granting you the power to break through this crisis." Arsène said.
"Like is there any choice." Ren said with a smirk.
"Hmph, very well..." Arsène said.
Game Shadow Kamoshida looked at Game Ren and Arsène and growls.
"Who the hell are you!?" Game Shadow Kamoshida demanded.
When Game Ren didn't answered he got even angrier.
"Guards! Start by killing that One!" Game Shadow Kamoshida shouted at he pointed at Game Ren.
The guards obeyed and turned into… Jack-o-lanterns with witch hats, capes and Lanterns.
"Um what?" Sojiro said as he came back with paper bags as Kuon takes one.
"What wrong dad?" Futaba asked.
"Well those two guys seem like a letdown compared to that bull guy." Sojiro said.
"That was a late game mob these guys are mobs of the first dungeon but I can see why." Futaba said as she shrugged.
"Fair enough." Sojiro said.
"Wait that thing referred itself as Arsène. Like the character Arsène Lupin written by Maurice Leblanc." Sadayo said.
"Hold up who wrote the character?" Futaba said with a grin.
"Maurice Leblanc…oh haha very funny Futaba." Sadayo said know what Futaba had done.
Soon everyone started laughing as the saw the connection between Ren's Persona and the café.
After the laughter ended Game Shadow Kamoshida told the Halloween decorations to attack Game Ren.
"This power of mine is yours! Kill them however you want. Run wild to your heart's content!" Arsène said as Game Ren fights back.
The battle was short with Futaba using Eiha over and over until all of them are gone.
"Whoop Level up baby!" Futaba cheered.
"Looking cool Joker." Morgana said with a grin.
Ren just smiled.
"What…" Game Ryuji said still stunned about this.
Game Ren inspects his new clothes.
"What was that just now?" Game Ryuji said.
"You little…" Game Shadow Kamoshida said as Game Ryuji tackles him to the ground.
"You like that, you son of a bitch!?" Game Ryuji said as he taunts Game Shadow Kamoshida.
Game Ren tells Game Ryuji to get the keys and lock Kamoshida in the cell. After locking the door Game Ren clothes change back to his school clothes and both of them start to look for a way out.
Futaba took the moment to pause the game and save.
"Ok I think its good time to stop unless you want to get swamped but the rush hour trains." Futaba said as everyone looks at their phones and their eyes went wide realizing that they needed to go.
Everyone said their good byes as they rushed towards the train station.
Sojiro and Futaba said their Good byes as well.
All that was left in the room was Ren, Lavenza and Morgana.
"Well that was a wired day." Morgana said.
Ren snorts at this.
"World War 3, nukes flying all over the place and we get sent a box with a TV and video games, one of which has us as the stars." Ren said.
"That's fair Ren." Morgana said.
"So now what?" Lavenza asked.
"…want to watch one of those DVD's Firem sent us?" Ren asked.
"Hhmmm alright then." Morgana said.
"Sure I'll pick one." Lavenza said as she looked through the DVD's and picked one.
Ren and Morgana looked at the DVD Lavenza picked.
"Kiki's Delivery Service sure let's watch it." Ren said.
Soon the three of them watch their first Gibli film and they loved it. After the movie ended they went to bed.
