I really don't wanna make another story because I can barely update the ones I have but this idea has been in my head for almost a year now so I thought I'd at least make it a chapter. Enjoy.

"Percy".

Percy's head turned as he jumped a bit from the pressure on his shoulder from his coworker's hand.

"You good man?" Jason asked.

Percy grabbed the towel from the table he had just got done wiping off and tossed it over his shoulder and looked at Jason, "Yeah, just got a little distracted", he finished looked back through the window at the bright, full moon illuminating the night sky.

Percy sighed and went to the next table to start cleaning it.

"Oh yeah, its your time of the month", Jason said leaning on the table to look at the moon as well.

"Well that's a weird way to put it," Percy said flicking Jason's hands with the towel to get him off the wooden table.

"Don't you have a job to do?" Percy asked in fake annoyance as he wiped the handprints Jason just left on his clean booth.

As far as jobs go working at a diner with his cousin really wasn't that bad, the pay was passible with him as a roommate and the work was easy. People would say being in your early twenties and still being a busboy is sad, at least he wasn't unemployed.

"Dude we are so slow", Jason said, "And I thought you asked off for today?"

It was true, Percy made sure to ask off for every full moon, its not like he was at risk of losing control but these nights always gave him one hell of a migraine. "I did, but Roy quit remember."

"Are you sure his name was Roy?

"I'm pretty sure I would know the name of the only other bus boy".

Percy grabbed the neatly stacked plates and bowl and started for the doorway that lead into the kitchen just as the bell to the door ringed signaling Jason to finally have to do his job.

As weird as it sounded Percy caught a familiar scent from the group that just walked in but before he could get a good look Jason stacked another few bowls he had been holding into his hand and sent him towards the kitchen. "Go take these back there, I'm gonna go talk to the pretty girls".

Percy disappeared behind the counter hearing Jason fading voice as he approached the group "Hello! welcome to Mr. D's diner", he said looking at them, "Just the four of you?"

Zoe followed the waiter to their booth, she wasn't really paying attention because she was in a heated discussion with Annabeth. "I don't like him"

"Come on he's cute, you at least have to admit that!" Annabeth said swiping on her phone to a few more pictures "Oh and he has a degree in biology!" she said excitedly showing the picture to Hazel who looked over weirdly. "That's close to your environmental science!"

For some reason her friends had decided to set up a tinder without her permission, on some quest to find her a boyfriend. Zoe gaze flicked away from Annabeth to Piper who was heavily flirting with the waiter and then back to the two girls.

"I'm just not looking for a boyfriend right now".

"You haven't dated anyone since high school," Annabeth whined, "You can't use the excuse of wanting to focus on school anymore".

"Annabeth's right" Hazel said with Annabeth's phone in her hand, still looking through the pictures of the guy Annabeth had chosen. "If you wait to long soon all the good guys will be gone".

"There's no good guys now", Zoe said taking the phone Hazel handed her. She looked at the guy's profile, he was cute she wouldn't deny that. Dark hair, tall, and a lot of his pictured showed him out doors hiking or at the lake. She had to give it to Annabeth, she knew how to find her type.

Hazel looked a bit hurt, "What about Frank".

She just rolled her eyes, "Fine, I'll admit that Frank is good for you".

"And Luke", Annabeth said as Zoe got a small gross look on her face, looking up from the phone to meet Annabeth's grey eyes, "You already know I don't like Luke".

Annabeth sighed but didn't look surprised, they had obviously had this conversation a few times. Zoe handed back the phone as she shook her head no.

"Zoe you can't be a vixen and just not even try to date", Annabeth said as she begrudgingly swiped left.

Zoe was about to retort when she was interrupted by the waiter of all people.

"Zoe!?" he asked pretty loudly as her head snapped up to him, "Zoe Nightshade?" he asked again?

Zoe looked up at him, he looked vaguely familiar. "Its me Jason. Jason Grace, from like your entire middle school experience", he said with a laugh.

Zoe's eyes finally lit up with recognition. "No way", was all she could say.

Jason shook his head like he was making sure he was awake, "I didn't even recognize you, you look so grown up compared to the last time I saw you".

"That's how time works" she said with a slightly awkward laugh. She could feel her friends eyes staring at her.

"Wow, still so sarcastic" Jason said with a smile.

"How long have you been working here?" Zoe asked. She has been going to this diner about once a month since she moved to Manhattan her freshman year.

"Oh me and Percy got a job here a few weeks ago, when we moved here last month", Jason said.

At the mention of Percy's name Zoe flinched a bit. That was the last guy she wanted to see right now, well second to last guy.

Jason caught on to her reaction, "You know he's gonna see you the moment he comes out of that kitchen".

Zoe looked behind the counter where Jason said Percy was, and then back at the front door where they walked in. She had a strong urge just to run out of it. She took a deep breath, she was a strong confident women. Even if she didn't feel it she could fake the confidence she wished she had right now.

"I'll cover for you just this once cause were old friends", Jason said as he saw her eyeing the door, "But if he asks I never recognized you". Jason finished writing down there orders and handed something to Piper then left.

As soon as he left Zoe let her head fall on the table with a thud and she let out a groan.

Piper who sat next to her just wiped the black hair off her section of the table to make room for her arms. "So are you gonna tell us who this Percy guy is?"

Zoe just groaned again.

"You have some hidden past life and your not gonna tell us", Hazel asked as Annabeth joined in, "Yeah I'm kind of curious too".

"Its not a past life", Zoe said her voice kind of muffled from being shoved in the table. "Just friends I had before I moved here and met you guys". Zoe finally brought her head up from the table but left the hair in her eyes. "I just didn't exactly leave on the best terms with them". Well Percy mainly she thought to herself.

There was a moment of silence before Piper finally broke the silence, "So am I allowed to..." Zoe looked over and Piper was holding a piece of paper with a phone number on it.

Zoe let out a laugh, "He really hasn't changed", knock yourself out Piper.

"I wonder if he's a shape shifter too", Piper said glancing at Jason who was behind the counter now talking to a man who was sitting at one of the bar stools. "He looks way to hot for it to be all natural".

Hazel scrunched her nose from that comment.

"He is in fact, not a shapeshifter", Zoe said sending a glance to Jason and then back to the table.

"Oh yeah you have some insider information", Piper told Zoe as she put her elbow down to prop her head up to look at her.

"He's a berserker"

Piper just kind of looked at her, "Yeah I have no idea what that is".

Zoe was about to explain but Annabeth took over, "Really! You don't really see many of them in North America. " Annabeth sent a glance to Jason and then back to Piper, "I guess the easiest way to put it is that he's a bear shape shifter".

"Honestly I'm pretty surprised he's allowed to work here, berserkers tend to have pretty bad anger issues. Like really bad" Annabeth said.

"Jason was born one, both him and his sister actually, I think the only one with anger issues was his dad." Zoe said, the end of that sentence was kind of hushed because he had walked back to the table with there drinks.

"Hello" he said cheerily as he handed each of the girls there drinks.

The rest of the night went a lot better than Zoe could've asked for. Although even though the four of them had gone to the diner for dinner, pretty soon after they had gotten there drinks Piper had moved to the bar to talk with Jason leaving Zoe, Hazel, and Annabeth at there booth. Zoe guessed that she didn't want to wait until after they left to get to know him more.

Zoe actually didn't get a chance to see her again until they were all walking out of the store back to there cars.

"Glad to know that your alive", Annabeth joked.

Piper gave her a apologetic look, "I know I'm sorry, it was supposed to be a girls night out. But he's so cute!"

"I'd be more upset if I didn't already know he was a good guy", Zoe told her as she pressed the button on her car keys receiving a small click from her car unlocking.

"I'm glad you think that because I invited him to the Halloween party this Saturday." Piper said before she turned to Annabeth, "As long as its ok with you and Luke, it is your house".

Annabeth nodded, "It should be fine, I'll ask him tomorrow because you know", she sent a glance at the moon. "Zoe you could probably have a date if you gave one of these tinder guys a chance".

Zoe laughed out loud as she opened her car door, "You know I'll think about it, because going on one date doesn't seem as bad as you continually trying to set me up". With that Zoe closed the door waved a goodbye to Annabeth, Hazel, and Piper who were all still talking in the parking lot and left.

Zoe made it at least half way home before she realized she wasn't even listening to music. Zoe reached for her phone with one hand and didn't feel it in the seat next to her. Its wasn't in the cup holder and it wasn't on the dashboard. Now that she thought about it, she didn't remember having it in her hand when she got in her car.

"Son of a bitch"

She pulled to a stop on the road and hit that perfect three point turn and sped back to the diner just preying someone was still there to let her in since the four of them left just before close.

As soon as Zoe got back in the parking lot she only saw one other vehicle, some really run down truck. Zoe ended up staring at as she walked to the front door and tried to open it, it shook on the lock.

Her fist rapped on the glass as she looked for any signs of life, the main lobbies lights were out and it wasn't looking promising. Zoe wished that Jason would come answer the door, a piece of her thought about calling piper for Jason number but remembered she her phone was the reason she was in this mess.

Zoe was about to call it and just come back in the morning but the lights suddenly turned on and a guy started walking to the door.

Zoe didn't get a good look at him until the door unlocked and opened.

Her eyes traveled up from a black apron tied around dark jeans and a orange t-shirt until she got to his face. Charcoal black hair, dark green eyes wide open and his parted lips to match his shocked expression.

Percy's face quickly changed to a stoned expression, "I thought you left like an hour ago?"

That did catch Zoe off guard, "You knew I was here?"

"Jason has a big mouth".

Zoe silently cursed him, "I can't find my phone, I think I left it here".

Percy's eyes never left Zoe's, "I didn't see a phone".

Zoe let out a frustrated sigh, "Well its not in my car so it has to be here". Zoe tried to peer past him to the table they were sitting at, but she couldn't see past his arm. Zoe looked up at him, "Are you seriously gonna do this right now"?

Percy lips tightened as he opened the door all the way to let her in, "Be quick". Zoe walked past him, heading to where she sat an hour ago.

Zoe could feel Percy watching her as she walked through the lobby, it was so quiet all she could hear was her feet hit the ground as she walked to the booth. It stayed quiet as she searched for her phone.

Zoe guessed he couldn't take the silence anymore because he finally spoke, "You find it yet?". She stopped running her hand in beneath the seat, leaving it halfway in the leather as she looked back at him. "Yeah, I just thought I'd leave my hand here a few more minutes".

Percy cleared his throat, "Your right, dumb question". Percy walked over to where Zoe was looking to help her look.

He got on his knees to look under the seat, "So", he paused for a second, "What are you doing now days"?

Zoe felt her fingers fumbled over the corner of something hard, and pressed her hand deeper to grab it. "Look we are not gonna do this". Zoe pinched her fingers over the object and pulled to reveal her phone. Good now she could get out of here.

"Do what", Percy asked getting up from his knees.

"Pretend like we're both not thinking of the same god damn thing!"

"What am I supposed to say Zoe"? Percy exclaimed, it seemed like he was holding it in as much as she was.

Percy watched her clutch her phone in one hand and make a fist in the other as he spoke, "You just left me there!"

Zoe ran her hand through her hair to get it out of her eyes, "We were in eighth grade Percy".

"You were my best friend."

"Exactly", Zoe exclaimed, "Your not supposed to kiss your best friend".

"Oh come on", Percy said, "Don't act like you didn't kiss back".

"That doesn't matter".

"We knew each other for what, eight years and all you could do is say 'oh no' and then never talk to me again", Percy said. Zoe rolled her eyes and started walking across the diners lobby, Percy followed her.

"I didn't want to leave you Percy", Zoe said as she stopped and turned and locked eyes with him, and Percy paused. Her normally dark eyes glowed a bright orange "You know why I left, I couldn't take living with that man anymore".

Zoe took advantage of his pause to keep talking, "I did like you Percy, but maybe kissing someone the day after there mom dies isn't the best way to tell them how they feel".

The bell rung as someone entered the diner. Percy's eyes finally moved away from her, "We're closed man, sorry".

The guy didn't moved, just standing in front of the door.

"Look man we're closed", Percy said as he walked next to Zoe to get to him. Something didn't feel right, "Percy wait-".

Zoe didn't get to finish her sentence before the man pulled out a pistol and aimed it at Percy.

"Woah" Percy said putting his hands up, he couldn't get a good look at the guys face but the way the gun was shaking in his hand made it seem like this wasn't a professional.

Percy tried to walk a bit closer but the guy stopped him, "Stop right there" he said in a shaky voice.

"Ok, Ok", Percy said, sending a glance to Zoe who had her hands up too.

"Look, if its money you want I can go open the register"

"I don't want money"

Percy really didn't like the way his finger wavered on the trigger. "What do you want"

"The man said you had to die".

Percy felt hid blood go cold. "What", Zoe asked speaking for the first time.

The gun turned in her direction, "You weren't supposed to be here", he said jamming the gun at her.

Percy cleared his throat, "We can talk this out", his hands slowly dipped down. "Just give me the gun".

Percy wished he didn't say that as he watched the guys hands tighten on the pistol. "No, I can't", he said in a pained voice. "The man said that the only way I could get better is if I kill you".

Percy watched him aim the gun at him.

"WAIT!", Zoe interrupted him and the guy let go of the breath he was holding and the gun dipped a bit. "What's wrong with you? Maybe we can help? We can bring you to the doctors".

"I'm not sick", the guy said, "I'm fucking bit". He pulled up his sleeve to reveal the bite but it wasn't there, just blood from where is must have been. The guy looked shocked, "It's not here".

"Look whatever bit you, you can live with. Trust me", Percy said to him, and the guy just shook his head. "I can't, I know I'm not strong enough. I'm not gonna spend the rest of my life locked up like an animal". He readied the gun again.

"Wait, NO"

There was a loud ringing in his ear as he stared at the guy with the gun. A small trail of smoke coming from the tip. The guy looked just as shocked as him, like he couldn't believe he actually did it.

Percy looked at Zoe who had her hands covering her mouth as she looked at him in worry, and then he looked down. Blood poured from a wound in his stomach. Percy looked back at the guy, "Did you just shoot me?"

The guy pulled the trigger two more times, and Percy staggered back as he looked at the hole in his shoulder. Percy's eyes glowed a brilliant red, and a deep growl emanated from him. Percy surged forward, snatching the gun out of the hands of the stunned guy punching him across the face sending him flying through the glass door as he rolled to a stop on the pavement.

"Are you ok?" Zoe asked as he stumbled a bit when he tried to walk forward. Percy looked down at her and groaned, "Yeah", Percy said as he doubled over and coughed, spitting up a bit of blood, "It's not the first time I've been shot".

From outside Zoe could hear the sickening sound of bones cracking, "Stay here", she told Percy as she stepped over the broken glass of the window.

The mystery man was no longer on the ground. He was on all fours as Zoe watched his limbs pop and move as the elongated, he let out a scream that slowly turned into a deep howl into the night sky.

Eventually the scream stopped and the wolf looked at Zoe, its humanoid figure standing menacingly in the moonlight. Its gray hair moving slightly in the breeze and two bright yellow eyes staring directly at Zoe.

Zoe's eyes glowed a orange flame as she met its gaze, her nails growing into sharp small claws. Zoe always felt confident as a Kitsune, but she would be lying if she said she wasn't a little intimidated by the wolf.

The wolf snarled and charged on all fours, meeting her in an instant, rearing back it's claws as it slashed at her. Zoe ducked, slashed across its forearm igniting a roar in response.

Zoe danced around its swings and bite, as the wolf attacked like a wild animal. She really wished she had trained more, she hadn't been in a fight in years and it showed.

Its jaws clamped down on her arm as she scream and raked her claws across its face making it stagger back.

Zoe fell down and looked at the bloody mess that was now her arm that hung loosely at her side, and then back at the wolf who pawed at its now ruined eye. It didn't last long though, as it slowly made its way back to Zoe.

It stood in front of her and raised its hand, the three inch long claws shined in the in the air as it slashed to finish her.

There was a blur of black, so fast Zoe barely noticed it. A black wolf slammed into the other, as the two rolled several yards away until it ended up on top. The grey wolf slashed and bit just trying to attack anything as the black one pinned it down.

The black wolf let loose a monstrous roar, making Zoe cringe and cover her ears as it set off every car alarm in two city blocks.

The grey wolfs yellow eyes faded back to normal as its arms and legs shrunk, its snout slowly retreating back into its face. Leaving the panting mystery man in its place.

Zoe watched the black wolf stand up and walk towards her, its bones shift and pop until Percy was kneeling in front of her. Zoe looked up at him, "You're naked"

I'm gonna stop right there. A lot of questions people might have will probably be answered in future chapters. A lot of idea's are pulled from Teen Wolf and Supernatural. Some of the creature that people are, are made up.

I really don't know what the main plot of the story will be, but I think I'll be leaning toward that one episode of Supernatural with all the monster crime families and owning parts of the city with turf wars and what not.
