The Dal
"What? What does she mean you are her human?". Bo gritted her teeth and her eyes went wide when Vex pulled her away from Lauren. "Vex!". She screamed.
"Vex doesn't listen to you. You heard Aife, keep your hands off of the doctor". Vex had one hand controlling Bo and left the other hand free for the next fool that came forward.
"Get her, Dyson! We will get out of here and get our answers!". Bo screamed.
"Like hell, he will". Vex pushed the wolf into the wall and kept him there.
"Release Bo". Aife walked over.
"And keep toying with the wolf? It will be my pleasure old girl". Vex laughed as he now had free use of both hands to taunt Dyson.
"Lauren is my human. You will never touch her again without her consent. Even with her consent, you will need my permission. Right now? I wouldn't even let you play with my hot comb". Aife stood face to face with Bo.
"Lauren is nobody's property". Bo gritted her teeth at her mother.
"You're right, she's not. But she's still my human and will not be disrespected. Now, she can say or do whatever she wants, with people better suited for her. You are not that woman". Aife's face was stone cold as she stared into Bo's eyes.
"Lauren? Are you really going to let her do this?". Bo asked without looking at the blonde.
"I asked her to do it. It is the only way to keep your freaks away from me. Now as far as you are concerned, you aren't exactly lacking affection with the wolf here". Lauren brushed her jacket.
"It is not like that Lauren". Bo sighed.
"It is like that, Lauren. Isabeau is lying in front of another succubus. She wants him on the condition that you will turn her down. It's all in her aura. Remember little one, I'm years and years older than you and obviously wiser too". Aife nodded for Vex.
"She's a traitor! The Fae will deal with her!". Dyson growled.
"I am the Fae". Aife laughed.
"What? What is she talking about, Trick?". Dyson looked at the old man. He hadn't said a word. He hadn't moved since they spotted Aife standing next to him.
"She's right. There is no longer Light and Dark Fae. There is only Aife. The absolute leader of all Fae". Trick replied.
"What the fuck!?". A stranger screamed.
"The man didn't lie. He has his orders. He will never defy me. Neither will the rest of you. You only see Vex, the doctor and me. But allow me to introduce you to the rest of my squad. Enter the Dal Riata!". Aife commanded. The group gasped when five Fae walked.
"It can't be. Not after all of these years!". A woman screamed.
"They are called the Una Mens. Five of my bitches. The Keeper is this one here, she's a cold-blooded bitch. Whatever your powers are, should you choose to disobey or try to overthrow me, they will put those same powers right back on your ass. Now, daddy here will remain a bartender. He will never defy me either. Lauren and Vex are my favorites in this group. Don't fuck with them because you will die the minute you do. Hear that you dumbass dog?". Aife turned to Dyson and laughed when the wolf looked like she was a dog catcher.
"Are you going to tell them the rest or shall I?". Lauren asked.
"Go ahead, sweetie. This is your moment too". Aife stood back and gestured for Lauren to step forward.
"I, Dr. Lewis, will not be treating the Fae anymore. You still have your own clinics, witches, druids and whatever you did to heal before five years of my life was stolen from me. I will run my own clinic with people that I hire and trust. I will not treat a succubus not named Aife McCorrigan. I will not treat a wolf nor solve cases his detective ass should know how to solve. He's a Fae and he's superior to me, right Dyson? My clinic will be guarded day and night. I will not be followed and my life is no longer in danger. The old Dr. Lewis is dead. I won't tolerate bullshit." Lauren looked around the room as she spoke.
"You will die if I so much as get a hint of disobeying what the doctor just laid out. She's her own woman not some bitch in a ridiculous triangle". Aife stared at Bo and looked on.
"That's all folks, as you were". Vex watched Lauren and Aife huddle.
"Wait, what?". Kenzi groaned as she stood hanging onto Tamsin's arms.
"The human needs to sleep it off". Lauren laughed.
"You said you won't treat the Fae, I'm a human, treat me". Kenzi groaned.
"You're Bo's human. You're her problem." Lauren turned back to Aife.
"That's shit, Lauren and you know it!". Kenzi let go of Tamsin and started for Lauren. She screamed when she was thrown to the ground.
"That's not allowed". The Keeper said.
"Pick on someone your own size". Bo seethed in the woman's face.
"And what are you going to do?". The Keeper asked.
"Keeper leave the baby faced Succubus alone. You have other duties to attend to now that the Doctor has left the building". Aife called the woman off but never took her eyes off of Bo.
"Yes, ma'am". The Keeper nodded and walked away from Bo.
"What the fuck is going on?". Kenzi asked as Bo helped her to stand.
"I don't know. We can't even talk to Lauren to find out". Bo walked Kenzi to the couch and helped her sit.
"Dumbfucks. Did you not understand the very plain English that came out of Aife's and Lauren's mouths? Lauren is a doctor and doesn't work for or with the Fae anymore. She's Aife's human, which means, no more bullshitting between all of you. Bo can't touch her anymore. Dyson can't go to her when he's stumped on a police case. Kenzi can't put foot soup up her ass anymore and be treated by the doctor. That's all over. This is Aife's world. Good for us, sucky for the rest of you". Vex laughed as he lit a cigar and blew the first puff at Dyson.
"This can't be right. Lauren wouldn't want to be owned." Bo shook her head.
"She's not owned idiot, she's just protected from the bullshit that you allowed to surround you and her." Vex took another puff and blew it out.
"What bullshit?". Bo stood toe to toe with Vex.
"You can't be that blind or maybe you are. You really should see a Fae doctor about that. Oh wait, there isn't one". Vex laughed.
"Tell me!". Bo screamed.
"Look around you. You cling to Dyson like he has the golden penis. You allowed him to lie about your mother, and when Lauren lied you dropped her faster than your panties around the wolf. Who's really owned here?." Vex laughed and looked at the time. He made note of it and put half of his cigar out. When it cooled, he put it in his pocket.
"Dyson doesn't own me". Bo rolled her eyes.
"You live by your lady bits. Of course he does". Vex grabbed his Fedora and walked away from Bo.
Bo stood stunned. This is the only time it had quieted down since the three of them emerged. Lauren is back. Aife is back. They are friends. They are close. Lauren is free but not accessible to the Fae. Bo cursed her nature again. Like that time she slept with Dyson to heal and had to tell Lauren about it. She cursed her nature then too. Probably even more so. She wasn't what Lauren needed. What Lauren deserved. It dawned on her why Lauren had broken up with her, she was tired of sharing the woman. Now she won't even share five minutes with the succubus. Well, not Bo's, Bo thought as she looked around for Aife. The old succubus was at the other end of the bar talking to Trick.
"It didn't have to be like this, Aife". Trick leaned forward.
"Oh, but it did. You and my daughter can kiss my whole ass. You only think of yourselves. She left me with that damn cabbit while she went with that valkyrie. It is no different than you putting me in the Dark Fae dungeons. Before you get any ideas about that again, I burned that bitch down". Aife stood tall in front of the man.
"What's going on?". Bo approached them.
"Shouldn't you be off fucking that underage valkyrie? That's who you left me for". Aife seethed.
"It wasn't like that". Bo shook her head in denial.
"No? You didn't kiss me on my forehead and left a succubus to die? All of that Fae in the building and you thought the old Aife would die? Well, the new Aife says fuck you. Fuck the both of you. Stay away from the doctor or there will be consequences. You have a human too, remember that". Aife took a drink and threw the empty glass at Trick.
Bo shook her head and the succubus walked past her. She didn't know what to do. "What just happened here, Trick? Don't lie to me this time". She turned back to him after her mother disappeared through the door.
"Aife didn't lie. She controls the Fae world and Lauren is her human. Not like Kenzi is yours. But still highly protected and favored by your mother. You should have told me you saw her at Taft's, Bo". Trick stared into dark eyes.
"I didn't remember. I came home and the next thing I knew, I was jumping off of a train. Then I ran to and found a rickety old shack. I slept there and woke up. Then I saw a woman named Karen that turned out to be Lauren. Lauren said her name really wasn't Lauren. Now she's mom's human. I'm just confused as you are". Bo took a seat.
"Well, we will have to wait for answers because you can't go near Lauren and I don't know when Aife will come back, if she ever does". Trick poured her a drink.
"I can't do that, Trick. I can't just sit back and wait. I'm not like the rest of you. None of you have a dark Succubus inside. She cares for Lauren too. She will never let me rest not knowing what this means for us going forward". Bo slapped her glass so hard that it slid to the other end of the bar. "See what I mean?".
"You can't fight the Una Mens, Bo. They will turn your succubus right back on you. It's what they do. It's why they took their seeds. They have powers of every Fae that they disposed of. When fighting they turn your powers right back on you". Trick pulled Bo forward so she would listen to him.
"What about you? We all know what you can do. Can't you write them to be weakened?". Bo asked.
"No. They cannot know who I am. It's the reason the Fae are under Aife's control. She will tell them who I really am and all hell will break loose. As far as they know, she's just another succubus". Trick adjusted his tie.
"That's what she has on you?". Bo asked. When the old man turned away from her, she had her answer. "Well, shit. How am I going to see Lauren?".
"Ask Aife. When she's calmed down". Trick suggested.
"Aife will never calm down, Bo. Forget about her. Forget about Lauren.". Dyson sat beside Bo.
The woman looked at him once and rolled her eyes. "You would like that, no, you would love that wouldn't you?".
"She was away for months Bo, for months! I was right here and you turned me down every day since. She could have come home and didn't. She's a coward and unworthy of you". Dyson rambled off and spit up blood after the succubus punched him in his mouth.
"Don't you ever talk about Lauren like that again!". Bo had him by his jaw. Her eyes flared and Dyson knew if her succubus surfaces completely she would kill him.
"Bo?!". Trick screamed. She gritted her teeth and dropped Dyson on the floor.
"Lauren was ready to murder you, Dyson. She stood in Taft's face and mine and told me so. She was ready to let him think she was going to do that too. You owe your life to her. Not to be such a dick". Bo snapped.
"I thought you said you forgot?". Trick asked.
"I did until I remembered Lauren and touched her earlier. It's all in here". Bo pointed at her head. "All of the bullshit. She saved you and how did you want to reward her? By not looking for her and wanting to fuck me over and over. You know I love that woman, you just don't care".
"Bo? Where are you going?". Trick asked.
"To get answers. The answers I would find here are self-serving". Bo walked over to Tamsin and told her to find Kenzi and look after her. Lauren was right, Kenzi needs to sleep it off. But Bo can't wait until morning. She's intoxicated with needing answers.
The Morrigan's office.
The Morrigan was writing at her desk when she heard her office doors being slammed open. "Get out!". She screamed.
"Out of my own office? I think not". Aife laughed.
"Oh fuck, really get out!". The Morrigan stood.
"Show the Morrigan out of my office". Aife ordered.
"Get her out of here, Bruce!". The Morrigan screamed.
"My name is Steven!". The man rolled his eyes.
"I don't care, get her out of here!". The Morrigan screamed again.
Aife smiled and watched one of her Una Mens approach the Morrigan. "Aife wants you out. Get out".
The Morrigan smiled and raised her hand to the woman's head and suddenly heard screams, but it wasn't from the woman in front of her. The Una Mens lady had her hand on The Morrigan's lady bits and the woman screamed when it started to burn.
"You'll never use that again. Now, get the fuck out of my office". Aife commanded again and watched as the Morrigan was tossed on her ass while grabbing herself. Once the Succubus was alone with her crew, she barked out more orders. "Get a construction crew in here. We are going to knock down some walls. Your leader likes space and I see the potential for lots of it here. The Morrigan deserves everything that she just got. Killing humans tsk. This is a new day."
"Yes, ma'am". The Una Mens lady said and left the succubus to trash the Morrigan's ancient shit.
Lauren and the Keeper.
"Aife said what you want, you will get". The Keeper spoke quietly.
Lauren walked around the large warehouse looking at all the medical equipment at her disposal. The old Succubus had commandeered a building that was ninety-five percent complete. That will be Lauren's new clinic. She smiled that it will be hers. No Fae. No bullshit. Just human medicine again. Dull, but it would keep her away from a necklace hanging over her neck. Away from a succubus and her threesome minded love triangle. "I'll take all of this here". Lauren made circles with her hand, turned to the woman and smiled.
"Yes ma'am". The Keeper bowed and left the woman to browse again.
"Does she ever smile?". Lauren asked.
"Never. She can't. Hey, if you don't want those tables, I can use them in my clubs". Vex smiled. Since aligning with that crazy Succubus, he is back to making big dollars. The Dal Riata will look like a Dollar Tree compared to his clubs.
"Sure, take them." Lauren gestured. Vex smiled and pointed his choice to the other Una Mens.
Lauren walked around the warehouse and pointed out everything else that she wanted. Everything was brand new. She needs to be brand new as soon as she walks into her clinic for the first time.
"We still have the car lot to tour too doc, don't forget". Vex called over. Lauren nodded and smiled as she hurried.
"We can get as many vehicles as we want. Feels good to be free doesn't it Doc? Nobody up our asses about anything." Vex rubbed his hands as they stood in another warehouse full of vehicles.
"I haven't driven myself in so long". Lauren sighed.
"That's all over, doc. You can come and go as you please. Nobody can pull you over. Nobody can tell you what to do. I know I was a real bastard back then, but Aife and I truly want you to have everything that you deserve. If we both need to protect you for you to accomplish your goals, so be it". Vex gently nudged her and pulled back.
"I owe you too, Vex. If you hadn't picked me up back there, I would likely be dead and not living in the spoils set before me". Lauren replied honestly.
"Any other doctor would have killed the old girl or let her die. You did good. I thought for sure she was going to kill me, but she was too weak to even try to pull my chi. Aife turned a corner too. We'd be dead if she didn't appreciate what we've both done for her. I almost feel sorry for the others but they heard her loud and clear. We are her clique and theirs can't compete". Vex turned his attention to a smoking hot red Ferrari and pointed to the car trailer driver.
Lauren smiled and walked around a little longer than Vex. When she found her vehicles, she called for the same guy and another carrier was brought forward to take Lauren's cars to be gassed up and taken home. She smiled thinking of her new home too. A three level mansion. Aife is spoiling the hell out of Lauren, and she likes it.
Her phone beeped and she read the message. She looked up and sighed. "Okay. I will go out with you since it is still early." She was followed home. She gave directions on what order she wanted her cars parked in. She showered, dressed and looked in the mirror.
The brunette's mouth fell open when the Doctor entered the bar. "Lauren! You look beautiful!".
"Thank you Sarah. Now, let's drink". Lauren sat at the bar wearing a tight fighting tank top with equally tight jeans and heels.
