Several hours later, while helping out the friendly spider Mimi, Pinkie recieves a call from Rick. Hiding out in a shack with Carly and in the process of creating a chemical solution to heal his wound, Rick gives her the details of their situation, Pinkie saying the same comment about the film and show both being lame, and, between dispatching people bursting into the cabin gives her a order of numbers, Carly firing off at the purgers two, finally using her gun. One tackles Rick.
''Carly, I don't want to be the "a little help" guy, but a little help?'' Rick cried, only to tossed a spoon, which he hoves into the Purger's eye, killing him. ''A spoon, Carly? A spoon?!''
''I'm sorry, I paanicked.'' she replied.
''There's a pile of silverware next to you, and you throw me the one thing that can never kill anything, ever?!'' Rick cried out, ironically saying so after demonstrating the contrary by resourcefully killing a purge participant with it. After the area's clear, Rick tells Pinkie to find a red box over his workbench, take it outside, and enter the aforementioned number into the box. The machine flies into the air, revealing it to a area code GPS. Pinkie says it's done.
''See Carly this one listens to me'' Rick said smugly, Carly simply just flips him off. Though secretly glad he speaks well of her friend.
''Alright Townley, if I can get to the top of that lighthouse, I can send the beacon, and Lancer can launch our package. Just remember, if there's people in there and they try to purge us, we got to purge them first.''
''We're not purging anyone.'' Carly growled.
''Look Carly, if we're gonna survive tonight, you're gonna need to harness that repressed rage.''
''I don't have any!'' Carly growled angrily.
''Than you wouldn't of become a werewolf, your demon form only takes on what lies deep within ones soul, Pinkie was a spider your a wild wolf, so obviously you have a lot of anger sealed away, what with running away all the time and all the mommy isues, the more you embrace it, the more you can control it.''
''Whatever.'' Carly groaned, not even reall listening, and rings the doorbell. Like the other's of the planet he's a intelligent humanoid cat who acts completely human and otherwise has no difference between the two species.
''I take no part in the festival. If you desire to kill me, I only ask you do it quickly.'' the man said in a deadpan tone.''
''No such agenda. I'm Rick, this is Carly.''
''Jerald.'' the man replied.
''We're not too keen on the purge, either, sir. We were just hoping to get on the roof of your lighthouse so we can send a beacon to my sister on earth. It's a different planet.'' Carly said.
''By the way, life on other planets exists. Don't let it distract you.'' Rick said, in a completely deadpan tone.
''I'll let you use my lighthouse for shelter and beacon-sending on the condition that you listen to my tale.''
''Okay. Deal. All right, I'm gonna go to the roof and set things up. Carly, you listen to his tale.'' Rick responded.
''Done.'' Carly replied.
The two are now next to a fireplace as Jerald pulls out a manuscript.
JERALD; [Clears throat] Fade in. Exterior. Unnamed city. Day. The hustle and bustle is a symphony of progress. We pan past windows, each of which contain a different story, to find Jacey Lakims, 28... hot, but doesn't know it. Jacey stops when her high heel gets caught in the grating of a sewer. Suddenly, a man steps into frame and points a gun at her. This is not her day. Fade to black. "Title... 'three weeks earlier.'
Carly's polite smile slowly fades to a look of slight annoyance.
SEVERAL MINUTES LATER;
JERALD; Blane: Maybe I don't need a new friend. Jacey: Maybe you're the only friend I need. Blane: Need, or want? Jacey: I've never been much for wanting. Blane: Spoken like someone with needs.
''Aw jeez.'' Carly groaned.
''Hmm?''
''Nothing. K-keep going.'' Carly responded.
JERALD; Jacey reaches out and touches his face. It's clear he needs what she wants. She's a woman. He's a man. The city burns in the background as he takes her in his arms. Fade out. Title... 'the end'... "Question mark."
''Wow... It's... G-good job. Keep writing.'' Carly said, rather dryly.
''You liked it? You didn't laugh at the scene in the bar.'' Jerald replied.
''I... Thought it was funny, but, I wanted to hear the rest.'' Carly replied, in a awkward tone.
''Do you have any thoughts? Notes?'' Jerald.
''No. I-I just enjoyed it.''
''Seems a little insincere. Come on, I want to improve my writing. Tell me your real thoughts.'' Jerald insisted.
''All right. Well, um, I'm not a huge fan, personally, of the whole "three weeks earlier" teaser thing. I feel like, you know, we should start our stories where they begin not start them where they get interest…''
''get out.'' Jerald immediately snapped.
''Um, what?''
''No, think your better than me?! Well you have small flat boobs, so you ain't perfect either.' the man said angrily.
'''Whoa, hey, we just asked if we could put up a beacon...'' Carly started.
''Well, you can't. I want you out of here. You're a insecure person, and you're taking it out on me.''
''Me insecure?'' Carly asked annoyedly.
''That's a good script so how dare you.''
Jerald drags her back upstairs.
''I want you out. Take that thing down, your friend is a shitty person and was very rude.'' Jarald snapped.
''Carly!'' Rick growled annoyedly.
''Rick, I didn't do anything. I sat through his entire screenplay and...''
''you "sat through it"?'' Jerald said angrily.
''YES! Did you want me to weep with fucking joy?! It's terrible!'' Carly cried in a sudden burst of anger.
''Whoa, Carly, we're guests here.'' Rick insisted.
I tried to be a good guest! He dragged it out of me!'' Carly growled angrily.
''I'm taking down this beacon.'' The man said, approaching it only for Carly to jump in front of him and push him.
''No fuck you, Just because you hate your own writing doesn't make me a bad person! And just because you hate Michael doesn't mean you can ruin my life!''
''What now…'' The man asked in confusion over the second part.
''People always shit on me, WELL NOT ANYMORE!'' Carly screamed and violently pushed him down the stairs. He rolled down and snapped his neck at the bottom, dying instantly.
''YEAH YOU LIKE THAT?! WANT ME TO CUT TO THREE WEEKS EARLIER, WHEN YOU WERE ALIVE?!'' Carly screamed out with no remorse in her voice, too busy being angry.
''Whoa, Carly. You just purged.'' Rick said, sounding more impressed than shocked.
Carly snaps out of her angry trance and stares at her own hands in shock. Rick either ignores it or doesn't notice it, saying ''alright becons's ready, let's get going.''
