Our obsidian fairy followed the devil, who is named Koakuma, through the many bookshelves in the library. They eventually come across a table with chairs. The table has many books and paper organizing neatly.
.
Koakuma: Master. I've found a maid.
.
?: Good.
.
Suddenly, a figure rose behind the neatly stacked books. She wore what looks like pink pajamas and wore a pink hat with ribbons of different color and a crescent moon. The woman walked slowly towards the duo. After studying Sokolov, she opened her mouth.
.
?: Where did you find this fairy?
.
Koakuma: Huh? In here.
.
?: That would make sense. So, why is a fairy trying to sneak in this mansion? Is it to pull a prank?
.
Sokolov: Huh? N-N-No. Miss Sakuya let me in so I could find Miss Patchouli.
Koakuma: What?! You mean she's not a maid?!
.
?: Oh? Now what business do you have with this Patchouli?
.
Sokolov: Uh..uh, it's just that I need a book titled: "Beginner's Guide to All Things Related to Rocks".
.
?: I see.
.
Sokolov: I'm actually a scientist in training and my teacher needed that book.
.
?: Well that clear things up.
.
Sokolov: So...can you tell me where Miss Patchouli is?
.
?: You're looking at her.
.
Sokolov: ...oh. Umm, glad to finally meet you. Anyways, do you know where this book is at?
.
Patchouli: Yes but...
.
Sokolov: You need my help?
.
Patchouli: Exactly. You see. I have this container for my friend: Remilia.
.
Koakuma inched closer to Sokolov's ear.
.
Koakuma: She's the owner of this mansion.
.
Patchouli: All I ask is that you deliver that to her or at least the head maid.
.
Koakuma inched closer again.
.
Koakuma: Her name is Sakuya.
.
Sokolov: I kinda knew all this but thanks.
.
Patchouli: Do this and I'll let you borrow the book you seek.
.
Sokolov: Thank you but how could I navigate? I barely know the layout and it's pretty dim too.
.
Patchouli snapped her finger and the devil grabbed a piece of paper. She handed it to Sokolov.
.
Koakuma: That's a map.
.
Sokolov: Umm, I'm aware of what a map is.
.
Patchouli: It's nothing too special. Considering your intelligence seems greater than any other fairy, this task should be quite easy.
.
The magician slowly shuffled to a chair and sat down. She started to read a book that apparently has a bookmark on a certain page.
.
Sokolov: So wait, why couldn't you two deliver this?
.
Patchouli: I'm currently busy and my assistant has yet to finish reorganize the books.
.
Koakuma: Oh that's right! I'll get back to that.
.
Sokolov: Oh...I see. Sorry for asking.
.
Sokolov turned around and left the library. She strolled the hallways while studying the map making sure she follows the right direction. Eventually, she came across a few fairy maids cleaning.
.
Maid #20: Finally! We got some backup.
.
Sokolov studied the clothing and accessories on the maids and took note of their size and physical age.
.
Sokolov: Oh...now I see why people confuse me for a fairy maid.
.
Maid #92: What are you talking about?
.
Sokolov: Oh um. I'm not a maid. I am a scientist in training.
.
Maid #69: Ugh..another big dreamer here. Stop pretending and start cleaning. Miss Sakuya doesn't like it when someone just slacks off.
.
Sokolov: Hmm...Actually, Miss Patchouli tasked me to instead deliver this to the Master. Now it is quite important but you know what? You're right. I should start cleaning instead.
.
Maid #92: Wait? You're tasked with delivery instead? Whoops then.
.
Maid #69: Never mind then, carry on.
.
Sokolov: Thank you.
.
Our obsidian fairy continued the trek through the mansion until she came across a door. She checked her map and it shows that the destination is through the door.
.
Sokolov knocked on it and a familiar voice called out.
.
?: Come in.
.
Sokolov opened the door and in it she sees Sakuya right next to a girl with light-blue hair. She wears a light shade of pink clothing with bat wings behind her. Sokolov froze immediately when she gazed into the girl's crimson eyes.
.
Sakuya: Oh! Hello again, Miss Sokolov.
.
?: Ah, is this must be the fairy you were speaking of?
.
Sakuya: Yes. This is Sokolov. She came here on behalf of Miss Kirisame, to seek Miss Knowledge.
.
?: I see.
.
The girl stood up from her chair to pull up her dress and bowed.
.
Remilia: I am Remilia Scarlet, Nocturnal Devil of Scarlet.
.
She sat back down again. Sokolov bowed and lifted her hands up, showing of the package.
.
Sokolov: T-This is from Miss Patchouli. She tasked me to deliver this to you.
.
Remilia: Oh, is that the...*Clears throat*. I mean, wonderful.
.
The fairy handed it to Sakuya, who then handed it to Remilia.
.
Sokolov: Now if you'll excuse me, I have to return to Miss Patchouli.
.
Remilia: Very well. You may take your leave then.
.
Sokolov: Thank you Miss Scarlet.
.
After bowing, our obsidian fairy leaves the room.
.
Remilia: You know, I kinda like her.
.
Patchouli: So you return. I don't see the package so I assume you delivered the package?
.
Sokolov: Indeed I did.
.
Patchouli: Hmm, well I suppose that'll be it.
.
The magician grabbed a book on the table and handed it to Sokolov.
.
Patchouli: As promised, here. The book you so desired. I have no need for this since this mere book is for children and I have more advanced books than this. Therefor, you or your teacher can have this.
.
Sokolov: Wow! Thank you. I'm sure my teacher will appreciate this. Could I also keep the map? I don't want to bother anyone.
.
Patchouli: Of course. Besides, If you need any lessons, I wouldn't mind having a student around.
.
?: Ah leaving already?
.
Sakuya appeared causing Sokolov to jump.
.
Sokolov: Ah yeah. As much as I would like to stay a little longer, I have to go and finish my assignments.
.
Sakuya: Shall I escort you out?
.
Sokolov: Thanks but I'll be fine.
.
Our obsidian fairy leaves.
.
Sakuya: You know, The Mistress is thankful for the package.
.
Patchouli: Not surprising. By the way, do you know who this teacher that fairy is talking about. Just asking because she seems like a great fellow to talk to.
.
Sakuya: Oh, I believe it was Miss Kirisame.
.
Patchouli: Oh, I see.
.
Patchouli then begins reading a book.
.
Patchouli:...Wait? HER!?
.
.
