CHAPTER 12
SUCH SWEET SORROWS
A short time later, DJ and Daisy had... a little more than a few cups of coffee, and were at the dance floor. DJ dancing drunkenly.
"YEEEEAAAAHHHHH!" Daisy shouted drunkenly. "THAT'S MY BROTHER!" she shouted and giggled.
"If you ain't shakin' what your mama got ya, you done forgot what she taught ya!" DJ said and shook his butt as he danced.
Daisy laughed, slapping her knee.
"Wait-Wait..." began Daisy. "You're doing it wrong..."
"Am I?" asked DJ, intrigued.
"Watch and learn, party bull!" Daisy said and laughed. She then got on the floor and shook it, just like a pro.
"Look at Dayz! Party animal!" DJ exclaimed and laughed.
"WOOOOO! SHAKE IT, BABE!" Reven exclaimed.
"You keep it up, I'm going to be dethroned!" DJ said with a laugh.
"That scared, are ya?" asked Daisy with a laugh.
Meanwhile, at the bar, Legoshi sat down next to Louise, not seeing her at first, but after catching his eye, he began admiring her. She then took a drink.
"Now I know how Louis felt... She looks like him..." Legoshi thought to himself. "Man, this is weird..."
"You're staring." said Louise.
"My husband said that to me when we first met." said Legoshi.
Louise laughed.
"That's a first for that kind of response." she said. "Sooo... Why you so googly eyed over me if you're married?"
"Would you believe me if I said you look like him?" asked Legoshi.
"Yeah." said Louise. "I'm aware of the multiverse."
"You know... A woman of your age should be happy." said Legoshi. "You never know how much time you got left."
"I was once." said Louise. "In my early 20s, I had a boyfriend named Lugosi. He was... nearly everything to me. I cared a lot about my future career. I didn't really have much of a future except for the signs my foster father put down. Once school let out, I returned home to marry a groom father picked out for me. For as long as our marriage lasted, I cried myself to sleep quietly, wishing I still had Lugosi in my life."
Legoshi started to tear up.
"He married some rabbit." said Louise. "I doubt he misses me after I drove him away."
"I bet he does." said Legoshi. "She's nowhere near as beautiful as you are... Nowhere near as... charming?"
Louise smiled.
"I know that you're not him, but... The fact that you look and sound like him and you're saying that... Well, it means something." said Louise. "So I take it you are Lugosi Lanchester?"
"Legoshi Graywolf." said Legoshi. "And you are?"
"Louise Moore." said Louise.
"My husband's name is Louis." said Legoshi. "I sort of expected something different."
"Why so?" asked Louise.
"We ran into an alternate version of me named Elsa." said Legoshi.
"Huh." said Louise and took a moment. "Sooo... you really think Lugosi may still miss me?" asked Louise.
"You never know." said Legoshi and got up. "Take care, Louise." he said with a smile as he walked off.
"Should I really be considering it?" Louise thought to herself. "What if he is happy... It serve me right to be wrong..." she thought and got her phone out. She hesitated a bit before she searched up "Lugosi Lanchester" on Facespace. The profile picture showed a gray furred wolf with black sunglasses on.
Louise sighed, and put her phone away.
Downstairs in the barn's basement, Louis is playing pool with the barnyard's sheepdog, Duke, a white furred dog with black spots, that had faded to gray in his older years. Louis takes a trick shot aaaaand... scores!
"Damn!" Duke exclaimed. "Where'd you learn to play like that? I could really use some pointers!"
"My foster father, Ogma taught me." said Louis.
"Where is this Ogma?" asked Duke. "And would he mind teaching me?"
"He blew his own head off in his office." said Louis.
"Ohhh man..." said Duke. "I'm so sorry."
"I'm not." said Louis.
"That bad, huh?" asked Duke.
"The old man was a selfish asshole." said Louis. "He abandoned me the second my ideals misaligned with his. I'm happy he's dead."
"I'm sorry." said Duke. "I didn't mean to pry."
Louis stood the pool stick up on it's end, standing beside him.
"I don't mind telling the worlds that I hate him, even now." said Louis. "I don't see how you have anything to be ashamed of."
"Hmm." Duke said, scratching his head.
All of a sudden, Louis felt familiar arms around his waist, hugging him.
"How's the game, babe?" asked Legoshi.
"Well..." began Louis. "My old friend here is looking to get lessons from a ghost." he said and smiled.
"Mmm... Shall I get Ghostbusters on the case?" asked Legoshi, softly, almost a whisper.
Louis laughed.
"That would be appreciated." said Louis.
"You know..." Legoshi whispered into Louis's ear and nibbled on the tip of his ear a slight bit. "I got a two player game for us to play..."
"Oh yeah?" Louis asked, smirking at Legoshi.
"Mmhmm..." Legoshi whispered.
"Good game." said Louis to Duke. "I'd like to play again sometime."
"Sounds good." said Duke. "Have fun." he said and chuckled.
"I promise." Louis said with a smirk.
