Bad Days, Horrible Nights

Summary: Chris is back from the Drama but as one end another picks up. The Grass Landers still have unfinished business… ChrisX?

Alright after a few months I will finally start writing stories…gotta find some way to keep up with honors 9 English this fall…

The stale wind sliced through the open gates at the Brass Castle, making everyone shiver as they cleaned up the castle and surrounding.

"I cannot believe this!" Chris exclaimed in fatigue. It had been quite a long day and Chris wasn't sure she was any longer seeing straight.

"Milady are you aware that, that is the 700th time you have said that today?" Salome snapped.

"Aw Salome it wasn't the 700th…it was actually more like the 100th…exaggerate much?" Percival questioned.

"GUYS!" Lucia screeched, and when everyone became quite she muttered, "Thank you!"

Chris sighed and pushed a lock of silver hair that had fell loose from the strict braids they were in. Chris caught the gaze of a family she turned the corners of her mouth in a half smile at the children then went back to the task at hand trying to shun the painful memory occupying Chris's mind…

FLASH BACK

"But Dad-

"No buts Christine! I have to go now be a big girl you will be fine here" Wyatt Lightfellow said to his 7 year old daughter as he pushed a silver lock away from her amethyst colored eyes. As he turned to leave her heard her quite voice pipe up.

"When will you be back?"

He stopped at this then sighed and turned back.

"I don't know however long it takes to put those Grass Landers down"

He shut the door quietly. Chris took tentative steps to the door trying to feel her fathers warm body on the door, but like her heart all she felt was coldness.

END FLASHBACK

Chris shook her head and went back to work accounting deaths. But the memory still bothered her, she grew up without a family and she wondered if maybe that would be her future as well.
