Waddup FFNet? It's ya boi KayTheToon here! I didn't expect to be back again writing another story so soon tbh but here I am lol. Anyways, this is a story I'm writing about a very VERY RARE ship in Tokyo Revengers, one that people have probably never thought about. You saw the title so i don't think I need to tell you. Honestly I wasn't even planning on writing this, but my best friend(who's also obsessed with TR and even introduced me to it) suddenly brought this idea up out of nowhere and my brain couldn't help but think of an interesting plot about a fic involving these two. Plus, I love reading fics involving crack ships of shows I watch, so now it's my turn to actually write one. Also forgot to mention, in this fic, Takemichi is already affiliated with Toman and there are no time-leaps. Well, I think I've talked enough. Let's roll into it shall we?
She continuously ran towards the park, ignoring the curious, concerned and confused looks of onlookers watching her as she passed by them.
The hurt she felt was more important than anything around her at this point. She could care less what people were thinking of her.
She ran for as long she could before she reached her destination. The local park.
She slowly walked towards the park's bench and sat down, staring into the ground for a bit with a blank expression.
She stayed like that for awhile before the events of today suddenly returned to her mind at full speed.
Her blank expression quickly transitioned into a heartbroken one and she started to sob loudly, putting her face into her hands.
She didn't care if anybody heard or looked at her, she was too heartbroken to pay attention to them.
She continued bawling to herself for a few good minutes.
Why did this have to happen to her? How could things have turned so terrible? All she wanted to do was confess her feelings!
Those were the questions that Emma Sano, sister of the Invincible Mikey, was asking herself as she wept quite loudly.
You might be wondering why exactly the blonde teenage beauty seemed to be wallowing in misery right now?
Welp, there's an answer to that, and in order to find that answer, we must go back to about 20 minutes ago, before this happened and look at the event that crushed her heart...
20 Minutes Earlier...
Today was DEFINITELY not going how Emma had planned it to be.
When she woke up this morning, she decided it was time to woman up and complete her mission.
She was finally going to confess her feelings to her longtime crush, Ken Ryuguji, nicknamed Draken.
The very first time Mikey introduced him to her, she had developed feelings for the boy, and they had stuck with ever since.
Even though she was greatly crushing on him, it almost seemed like the boy in question either had no idea she liked him or he was just purposefully ignoring her feelings.
She had even flirted with him and dropped a few subtle hints from time to time, but every time her efforts just went over his head and failed completely.
Well not anymore... this time she was gonna make sure that her plan was going to work!
Step 1. She'd meet up with Draken.
Step 2. She'd stir up a conversation with him.
Step 3. She'd finally confess her feelings to him.
Step 4. They'd start dating and eventually get married.
The Perfect Plan! Nothing could possibly screw this up!
... Except for the fact that she just COULDN'T get a few minutes of alone time with Draken no matter how hard she tried...
Any time she managed to get ahold of him today, something would either come up or he'd be too busy to talk.
The latest time she tried to talk to him and confess, Mikey had pulled him away because he and a few other Toman members needed to fight a few thugs who had beaten up one of Toman's members and humiliated them. And you know Toman doesn't play whenever they get disrespected.
They had left about an hour ago, and she was currently waiting for them to return at Toman's meeting grounds. She was practically DYING to confess to him, and there was no way she gonna let another chance slip.
'Honestly, what's taking them so long? Knowing them, taking down a few wannabe thugs shouldn't be a problem for them!' She thought to herself as she paced around silently.
Suddenly, the sound of motorbikes slowly filled the area, and she turned around to see all the Toman members who had entered the fight returning.
Emma smiled widely and internally shouted, 'FINALLY!'
She saw the likes of Mikey, Draken, Baji, Smiley, Peh and Mitsuya, who actually looked like he was pretty banged up as there was blood oozing from his head. She wondered what that was about.
Immediately, the rest of Toman's members ran towards the group, some asking how the fight went and some trying to tend to Mitsuya. Mikey had promised Mitsuya they'd take him to the hospital and get his injury fixed.
While all that was happening, she noticed a certain someone slipping away from the crowd and venturing into the trees.
She realized it was none other than her crush, Draken, and she realized this was finally her chance to tell him!
So, she excitedly skipped into the same direction he went, hoping to meet up with him.
Ken Ryuguji was NOT having a good day right now.
To start things off, he was already in a pretty sour mood today and he didn't think anything could make it worse.
However, it seems like his latest fight somehow proved him wrong.
When he and his other friends at Toman went to fight those punks, they thought they would be dealing with about 5 or 6 people judging from what their member who got beaten up described.
Turned out, when they got there, the supposed 6 thugs who they were dealing were actually about 20 in number, and they had sent out 6 thugs to act as bait.
He and his friends fought off as many guys as they could and it seemed like everything was going well.
That was... until he almost got ambushed by a guy sneaking up on him with a brick in hand. He had been so focused on fighting off two random thugs that he didn't even notice the one behind him.
He knew getting hit with a brick, ESPECIALLY on the head, was no pleasurable event. Unfortunately though, it was it was late to dodge at that point and the thug was surely going to get a hit in.
He closed his eyes and braced for impact, but he was confused when nothing came, until he heard someone shout, "MITSUYA!"
He quickly opened his eyes and witnessed to his horror Mitsuya's slumped figure on the ground, blood oozing from his head. He quickly realized that he had come to take the hit for him while he wasn't looking.
Enraged at the fact that Mitsuya got hurt because of his own ignorance, he turned to the thug who was holding the bloodied brick and gave him the meatiest uppercut of their life, knocking the soul of them.
The fight went on and eventually, Toman emerged victorious, like usual. Although to them, it didn't feel like that much of a victory since Mitsuya was badly injured.
He was currently venting his frustration and cussing himself out for being so stupid. He separated himself from everyone because he didn't want anybody to worry about him.
"You fucking dumbass... What the hell is up with me today!?" He angrily growled to himself. Honestly he hoped nobody would find him right now, because he probably wouldn't be able to control himself from bursting ou-
"Draken!" A voice shouted. He turned to see who had called out his name.
The voice belonged to none other than Emma Sano, looking relieved that she had caught up to Draken.
Unfortunately, what the young girl didn't know was that she met up with him at probably the worst time possible.
"Hey Draken! Jeez I've been waiting for like ever to talk to you! I almost thought you guys would never come back! Seriously! Anyways, I just wanted t-"
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT RIGHT NOW!?" He shouted angrily, interrupting the blonde girl.
Emma quickly fell silent out of pure shock. She had never heard him speak in such an angry tone before, and especially not at her.
She continued to stare at him in shock for awhile before she nervously spoke up.
"Uhm... I... I just... h-had something I wanted to tell you when you got ba-" She was interrupted once again.
"Emma..." He growled in a low voice.
She quickly shut up in fear once again, her nervousness quickly building up as she stared at him. She couldn't help but be scared of Draken in the state that he was currently in right now.
"I've been in a very... VERY shitty mood today, and if there's one thing that definitely didn't help, it's the fact that you've constantly been pestering me like an annoying little bug almost every SECOND!" He said angrily. "The last thing I need right now is to hear you tell me some unimportant shit, because I'm already pissed off and you're only making it worse!"
With every word he spoke, her heart felt like it was being stabbed by tiny needles.
She shakily responded, "B-but-"
"Don't." The tall teen warned. "Just do me a favor... and kindly piss off..." He said in a low voice before stomping off somewhere else, leaving the blonde by herself.
She stood there for awhile, her expression looking like she was crushed by what just went on.
Eventually, she left and emerged out of the woods right back to where she left.
The once excited girl walked past the busy crowd in the meeting grounds, her hair shadowing her eyes as she walked away from the area before going into a full dash and running away.
Everybody was so busy with the current situation that they didn't even pay any mind to her leaving, making her exit go unnoticed by everyone.
Well, all except a certain blonde, who couldn't help but notice her leaving, and the expression on her face...
Back to the present...
Those were the events that led to the act of sadness you currently see now.
The young girl continued to cry as she questioned herself.
"Of course he wouldn't like me...*sniff*... there was never any chance of him liking me back! *Sniff* I was just too stupid to see it! Who would ever be interested in a girl like me!?" She cried in both sadness and frustration.
She felt like such an idiot for thinking a bad boy like Draken would ever like her. Why did she even try?
Before Emma could have another weeping session, she was interrupted by a certain voice.
"E-Excuse me?"
She paused her crying for a bit, feeling like she recognized that voice from somewhere. She rose her head and turned to see who had spoken.
The person who that voice belonged to turned out to be none other than Toman's resident golden boy, Takemichi Hanagaki, the same boy who she came onto that one night and he fled out of panic.
He was currently wearing a white t-shirt with black sleeves and khaki shorts, along with brown sandals.
He was looking at her with a nervous expression before he spoke up.
"Uhm... h-hi..." He greeted awkwardly.
She looked at him for awhile, wondering why he was even here let alone trying to talk to her in this state.
"*Sniff* What do you want?" She asked him in a slightly tired voice.
He rubbed his head awkwardly as he responded, "Well... I was with everyone else at Toman when Mikey and the rest came back, and while we that was going on, I couldn't help but notice you walking away from everyone..." He admitted.
"And I also noticed you looked like you were gonna break down, and I guess my curiosity got the best of me because I followed you here to see what was wrong and then I stumbled upon you crying out loud."
He was silent for awhile before continuing.
"Now I know it probably isn't my business or anything but I just have to ask... why exactly are you crying?" He asked as he stared at her red eyes.
She looked at him in confusion for a bit before turning her head away from him.
"Why do you even care...? She asked him curiously. "I mean, are we even friends? Cuz' we don't even talk to each other normally..."
The two rarely ever talked to each other in a one on one scenario. Sure they did interact during the whole Mobieus Carnival thing, but that was when his friend Hinata was there. They've never really hung out together too.
"Well, before that." He then motioned towards the space on the bench she was sat on, "Do you mind if I take a seat?" He asked.
She looked at him for a bit before relenting. "Yeah sure... why not...?"
He then sat next to her, looking at her before continuing.
"N-now I know the two of us have never really interacted with each other outside of Toman, but still... that doesn't mean it'd be right for me to leave you sulking this." He said.
She raised her eyebrows.
"I know you'd probably rather not explain the reason for your trouble to me of all people, considering how we're not even close, but it won't change the fact that I still wanna help you." He admitted truthfully.
"So please, at least just try to tell me what's wrong so I can help. Although if you still don't want to, I'll understand, then I'll back off." He offered.
Emma looked at him with surprise. Here this boy who she had never really talked to before was, casually offering to listen to her problems and maybe see if he can help her. Honestly she wanted to say no or decline, but the genuineness and kindness in his voice was so evident that she just couldn't for some reason.
She let out a sigh and decided why not? "Fine then... I guess in a way I kinda need someone to vent my frustration to." She relented.
He smiled at her acceptance, happy that she decided to open up to him.
"Okay. I'm listening." He said, "Tell me everything you need to."
She let out a deep breath and then proceeded to recount the events of today to Takemichi.
Her plan. Her failures. And of course, Draken's outburst.
She basically told him everything she wanted to tell him. She noticed how he listened to her attentively while she did do and his focus never withered away from her.
By the time she finished venting, her previously shed tears had already started to come back and he seemed to be taking in all she said.
"Wow... that is a lot." He said, "I mean... I know Draken probably had a good reason for being mad but that doesn't mean he should've just pushed you away like that..." He finished.
He had already known that the sister of Mikey had a big crush on Draken, so he could understand how much it must've pained her to get told off like that by the guy she liked.
"No... it's fine..." She said in a low voice as tears were still spilling from her eyes. "An annoying girl like me doesn't deserve him anyway..."
"I'm sorry... what?" He said in complete and utter confusion.
The girl sighed, "I said that an annoying gi-"
"N-No no no no no, I heard what you said." He confirmed, "It's just that I'm having trouble trying to believe what you just said." He said.
"Huh? What do you mean?" She asked curiously.
"Well first of all, annoying?" Takemichi asked in a comical tone. "How on earth were you being annoying?" He asked.
"You were just trying to reach out to him so you could confess your feelings to him! You couldn't have possibly known that he wasn't in a good mood! That's not your fault!" He said.
Emma blinked at him in surprise as she listened to him speak.
"And second of all, you don't deserve him? That's a load of bullcrap! Everybody deserves to have happiness with the person they like! And you're definitely included!" He said with a determined expression.
The tears in Emma's eyes were slowly starting to fade away.
"Hell, if he couldn't put his anger aside for you or even notice your VERY obvious feelings for him after ALL this time, I'd say that it's rather HIM who doesn't deserve you!" He told her.
He then put his hands on her shoulders, surprising her.
"I mean don't get me wrong, I love the guy but I think he'd have to be real stupid not to like a girl as pretty as you are!" He said to her.
"Y-You think I'm... pretty?" She asked him with wide eyes.
His cheeks turned a bit pink as he realized that he had said that out loud. But he had no time to be embarrassed right now.
"Y-yeah. There's no denying it." He admitted, "I know a pretty girl when I see one, and if I'm being honest you're probably prettier than the word 'pretty' itself..." He said truthfully.
She stared at him in complete surprise, taking in the words he had just said. This boy, who she never had any real relations with, had not only stumbled upon her crying, but was also trying his absolute hardest to comfort her and make her feel better even though they weren't that close! She couldn't help but feel touched at the lengths he was going just for her.
"Ahh man! That sounded cheesy as heck!" He said awkwardly, "Sorry about that, I bet that sounded real-"
He was interrupted by the feeling of another body pressing against his.
To his surprise, he saw none other than Emma Sano, giving him the biggest hug she could probably muster.
He was expecting a few things to come out from this, but getting hugged by Mikey's cute sister was DEFINITELY not one of them.
She looked up at him with a teary smile.
"Thank you... wus- no... T-Takemichi..." She was about to call him by the nickname she gave him after that incident, but she felt it would be more respectful to call him by his name considering he just went out of his way to comfort her.
"I-I really needed this..." She finished.
He looked at her in surprise for a bit before his expression quickly morphed into a smile.
"You're welcome. I'm glad I was able to help!" He beamed at her.
At this point, the feelings of heartbreak and sadness she had before were mostly gone as she looked at him.
"Y'know, now that I think about, we've never really introduced each other formally." He revealed.
She realized he was right and was going to ask him something before she saw him raise his hand, as if expecting a handshake.
"Well then, let's start." He said, "Hi. I'm Takemichi Hanagaki! Nice to meet you!" He introduced.
She couldn't help but smile at his lighthearted nature. So she played along and shook his hand too.
"I'm Emma Sano, Mikey's sister, though you probably already knew that. It's nice to meet you too Hanagaki." She beamed at him.
He was glad he got to cheer up from her bad mood, since he wasn't really sure if he'd succeed when he arrived.
"Hey... Hanagaki..." She called out.
"Yeah?" He answered.
"Do you... wanna hang out with me tomorrow?" She offered, "I'd really like to go out with you sometime, and get to know you." She asked shyly.
"You... want to go out with me tomorrow? Y-you mean like a date or something?" He asked nervously.
"Wuh? N-no!" She panicked, "Well I mean... you could think of it like a... d-date between friends! Yeah!" She assured him awkwardly.
He seemed to ponder over her words for a bit before he smiled and answered, "Y-Yeah... I'd love to!" He agreed.
"Plus, if we're gonna become friends we'd obviously have to hang out sometime." He added.
She smiled, glad that he accepted her offer.
"Thank you Hanagaki. Meet me at this very spot tomorrow at 1PM, kay? Then we can go on from there." She told him with excitement.
"Yeah, no problem!" He agreed, "I'm looking forward to it!" He grinned.
"Great! Well, I'll see you tomorrow Hanagaki..." She said as she turned.
Although Takemichi couldn't help but feel like he was forgetting something... Oh yeah!
"W-Wait!" He stopped her from leaving.
She turned to him, "Hm?"
"Uhm... I was just wondering... do you have a phone? If so then... do you mind giving me your number?" He asked.
"Oh. Sure, you can have it." She smiled.
He handed her his flip phone and she saved her number on it, along with her contact.
"There." She said as she handed it back to him. "Gimme a call when you get home alright?" She asked.
"Y-Yeah, of course. Thanks for your number." He thanked.
"No problem." She assured. "Well, I'll see you later Hanagaki. Don't forget our meet-up tomorrow!" She told him and walked away.
"Wouldn't think of it!" He shouted out.
When she finally left, he stood there for awhile, the events that transpired finally coming to him.
'HOLY COW! I JUST GOT A GIRL'S NUMBER!' He shouted mentally in disbelief.
He quickly calmed down and then a smile appeared on his face.
Emma really did seem like a nice girl, and he was actually looking forward to hanging out with her tomorrow.
Even though he still couldn't wrap his head around Draken being a jerk towards her, he pushed that thought out for now, instead focusing on what they'd do for their outing the next day.
'Welp. I better get back to Toman to see how Mitsuya's doing, then I'll head home and get some sleep for tomorrow.' He thought to himself as he headed back.
Meanwhile with Emma, the girl was also heading to her house, with a smile plastered on her face.
Even though this was their first time interacting with each other formally, she could tell that Takemichi was a kind and thoughtful guy.
In all honesty, even though he had helped her move on from the whole Draken ordeal, a part of her was still upset about it, and it was understandable.
But she didn't want to focus on that right now, especially when she had found a new source of happiness awhile ago.
She couldn't deny that she was eager to see Hanagaki again. 'Hm. Who would've thought that my depression would have lead to me making a new friend?' She thought to herself.
She hoped that their outing tomorrow would go well, she had never been this happy about befriending someone before, but something about Hanagaki was just... different.
As she neared her home, she greeted her grandfather and entered her room.
As she laid in bed, she decided to nap for awhile with a hopeful smile. Thinking of one person's face before she fell asleep.
Takemichi Hanagaki...
Phew! That took me awhile to finish. Anyways, here's the first chapter of the EmmaMichi fic. What do yall think? Lemme know in the comments. I think I'm gonna turn this story into a multi-chapter, because I'm really interested in it right now, (You can thank my best friend for giving me the idea of course) Anyways, hope yall liked it, and I'll see you next time. KayTheToon, out!
