The scene starts with Sasuke flying through the trees. "Is that you Itachi?" He yells out.
"Sasuke and Itachi again?" Lee complained. Those Uchiha seemed to have been getting a lot of attention lately.
"It seems like it." Tenten agreed. She was hoping to see more women being awesome but alas. Her wishes remained unanswered.
In front of him is a man that does look like Itachi but is wearing some sort of burgundy cloak. He too is jumping through the trees.
"I said wait!" Sasuke yells once more. And from his back a giant purple hand appears and reaches out to grab Itachi. Itachi responds in kind with a red arm of his Susanoo. He uses it to deflect Sasuke's attack. "This Susanoo… So, you are Itachi!" Sasuke is able to confirm his suspicions.
"When is this supposed to take place. Sasuke got his mangekyo after killing Itachi and yet he has it here?" Neji asked. He was one of the few children that actually got the severity of the mangekyo.
Shisui shrugged. "I hope we'll get our answers soon." If not it would make his notes a lot more complicated.
"I'm surprised that you've been able to master it too…" Itachi responds.
"Nii-san! What is that supposed to mean?" Sasuke yelled at his brother. Of course he would be able to master any technique his brother could.
"What are you doing here?" Sasuke asks clearly confused by everything that's going on. "You're supposed to be dead!"
"So, this is after Itachi died." Shisui nodded and put it down in his notes.
"Did he also get reanimated? Like the Hokage?" Hinata wondered.
As the Susanoo disappears Itachi starts speaking. "This is Kabuto's jutsu. I'm a reanimation now." Itachi hops down to jump once more. "I can't stop now. There's something I have to do."
"Well, that answers that question." Shikamaru grumbled.
Sasuke still has his Susanoo active. "I don't care! You're here before me and I have a lot of questions!"
"Ask me later. But I guess that's not going to happen."
"I wonder what Sasuke's questions are?" Kiba laughed. He could imagine Sasuke either going full emo or the other way. But those both seemed pretty unlikely.
"I agree. There is much less animosity radiating off Sasuke here. Even though he still isn't quite pleasant." Hiashi responded. Was that boy always so easy to read?
"You said so yourself!" Sasuke still has his mangekyo active. "To come find you once I had the same eye as you! So why are you running?" There is a rage behind his words that is different from how it used to be. "To avoid admitting that you lied to me? Or don't you have the courage to tell the truth?" Itachi remains silent. "I already know everything about you! That's why I decided to destroy the hidden leaf."
"What truth?" Naruto blinked and looked at the adults for an explanation.
"So, there is more to Itachi's betrayal." Fugaku sighs. "I wonder what it could be." But he had some suspicions already.
"I told you when we fought that people live under false assumptions. I asked if you could think about it that way. And how one's reality might be an illusion. Is my truth really-"
"Why is Itachi being so cryptic." Ino complained. It was something that always bothered her when speaking to people that just saw her as some little kid. She's way smarter than any of those adults realize.
"Being blunt most certainly isn't his style." Shisui laughs.
"But it would make things a lot easier for us." Not that Shikamaru had much trouble dissecting the language clues and such.
"I can't deny that."
"I no longer live inside an illusion!" Sasuke intercepts his brother. "I can see through you genjutsu!" A close up is shown of Sasuke's face and eyes.
"These are your eyes!" He yells and then the screen turns black.
"What!" Came the yells of the children.
"Is Uchiha swapping eyes common?" Jiraiya asked. "We've seen it happen twice already and we also know that Madara had done so as well."
"I- not really. But I guess the improvements in the medical world have made it a lot easier. And if it does give users less effects of the mangekyo it might be the safer option." Fugaku explained. Not that there were many Uchiha left to swap eyes with in the future. And there would also have to been genetic compatibility. Really Kakashi was lucky he and Obito were compatible in such a way.
"There wasn't that much information there." Neji complained.
"I have to say the contrary. It gave us confirmation of quite a few of our suspicions." Shino cut in. Neji blinked a couple times.
"I guess it did."
Naruto narrowed his eyes. "I don't know. Itachi and Sasuke didn't really explain anything."
"Not directly." Shikamaru explained to the boy.
But Lee was getting impatient. "So, number what's next? And please let it be something important!"
The screen lit up once again. 'Behind the mask part 3' appeared on the screen.
"Didn't we already get to see Kakashi's face?" Sakura wondered out loud. The other people in the room had to agree with her.
"Maybe this time it's in front of us." Sasuke suggested.
The scene start with a glowing yellow hand reaching out towards the masked man. Then the screen switches over to a large wooden statue with a lot of bleeding eyes.
I'm going for the statue. It's Kakashi's voice speaking from his mind. Kamui. And his mangekyo Sharingan activates. Then the air around the statues head starts warping. If I gouge out its head then it shouldn't be able to survive, statue or not! Just as he was about to succeed the masked man launches himself away from Naruto's attack and stops Kakashi from finishing the jutsu.
"I don't think this is about Kakashi's true face." Sasuke points out a little disappointed.
Sakura nods. "I don't think so either."
"It might be about what's behind the mask of the masked man/Tobi." Ino suggests. It's something she would love to find out. Especially since it felt so similar to seeing what was under Kakashi's mask.
"I hope it is. It would make things a lot easier for us." Shisui agrees. It would make his notes a lot more organized. Even if Itachi said it was already a lost cause for organization.
"So naïve." Is the only thing the man says in response.
Kakashi nearly falls to the ground from chakra exertion. That attack must have taken a lot of his power. What in the world happened. Don't tell me?
"Wait! When did Kakashi get the mangekyo?" Sasuke asked. The adults blinked.
"I have no clue. Kakashi?" Iruka turns to the man in question.
"I'm not sure. I don't recall ever getting it, and I don't know anyone that might be as important to me as Gai that might make me awaken it." Kakashi explained. But he's not quite that knowledgeable about the subject so he might have missed something.
"Maybe we'll get our answers soon."
The masked man turns to look at Kakashi. Naruto's previous attack still destroyed a builder and the remnants of that builder begin floating around the battlefield just like the others.
He vanished? A giant Octopus like creature thinks.
Naruto closes his eyes in concentration. Then the masked man appears from the ground beneath Naruto's feet. Naruto was in time to jump away before the man could catch him. They continue chasing each other for a bit.
"How are those rocks floating?" Naruto asked. So far he had never seen anything float beside birds.
"Chakra?" Sasuke suggested.
Sakura narrowed her eyes. "You don't sound too sure."
"I haven't seen this before either." Sasuke nearly yelled at her.
"Naruto!" Gai yells as he tries to join the fight. He jumps from boulder to boulder. These boulders are in the way! Damn it!
Meanwhile Kakashi activates his signature Chidori and asks Bee for something. "Bee!"
"Got it!" Bee the octopus responds.
Just as the man was about to catch Naruto is his grip Kakashi is launched by the giant creature and using his Raikiri was able to cut through the boulders in his way.
"You know. I'm beginning to think that the Raikiri might be more powerful than we previously thought." Shisui shuddered. If it could destroy rocks with ease. Think about what else it could destroy.
"It's not the attack that's necessarily powerful but the way it's applied." Itachi explained. A substitution could be just as dangerous if you knew how to use it in the right way.
I'm not going to make it in time. Kakashi realized as Naruto was almost in the man's grasp. Kakashi swings back slightly and then launches his Raikiri powered kunai in their direction.
Just as the man was about to make contact with Naruto's body, he had to turn himself intangible to make sure that he doesn't get killed by Kakashi's kunai. Which also meant he wasn't able to touch Naruto. This gave Naruto the ability to get away from the man.
"What in the world is that technique?" Jiraiya nearly yelled out.
"Something that doesn't work to our advantage that's for sure." Hiashi grumbled. Someone with a power like that would be a dangerous foe. To defeat someone hitting them would be a vital part to victory.
"Shisui do take note of that." Hiruzen commanded the boy.
"I'm on it already."
"Naruto! Just keep going!" Kakashi yells at the boy. "I'll take care of the kunai."
Then the man uses his feet to deflect the kunai in Naruto's direction. But Naruto doesn't let that stop him and goes for the attack. Using the Kamui Kakashi was able to send the knife to the other dimension. Again Naruto's attack passes straight through the man and Naruto can't help but curse.
In the end both teams fall down onto different boulders to regroup for a little bit.
"Has anyone of you encountered a technique like that before?" Tsume asked everyone. Any clues as how to counter such a technique would be helpful to them.
"Not that I know of. But knowing the sharingan might be involved… it could be anything really." Fugaku didn't want to mention that Izanagi could have similar effects but it would do right to go down that rabbit hole quite yet.
"He's really strong. I can't get my attacks to hit him." Naruto complains.
"Are you alright?" Gai asks Kakashi.
"Yeah." Kakashi answers but it's clear he's far from happy. "But if even that attack is no good…"
"Then what can we do?" Naruto finished for his teacher.
The man stands up and slowly turns around. Just as his mask comes into view something surprising happened. A crack appeared on the mask.
"Wait? How did they hit him?" Kiba blinked. He didn't see anything hit the man.
"I guess we'll see." Neji had his eyes narrowed. That slash was made not by a punch but by a knife or something similar.
Kakashi and Gai turn to look in shock. And then the boulders that were floating all around them fall down.
"What just happened?" Naruto asks.
"Hey, Kakashi. Did you see that?" Gai asks the other.
"Yeah. There's a crack in his mask."
"Huh? Where, where?" Naruto looks and within a couple seconds and squinting his eyes he's able to make something out.
"Naruto's squinting again!" Ino laughed. She would hate to admit it but it was kind of cute whenever he did that in class.
"Does he do that a lot?" Inoichi asked his daughter.
"Mainly when trying to see things from far away."
"Has he gotten his eyes checked?" Inoichi asked the Hokage. But from the blank look he could see what the answer was. "You might want to do so."
"I think we might have to."
"Looks like Naruto's earlier attack grazed him." Gai cheers. "Nice going, Naruto! Let's keep it up just like that!"
"All right! Now I feel like we have a chance!"
"It's such a small scratch yet they're already that excited." Jiraiya finds it rather entertaining.
"If my enemy could turn intangible I would do the same." Iruka said.
But Kakashi would be the one to sour the mood. "To be honest, it didn't look to me like Naruto's attack landed."
"You're doing it again." Gai complains. "You always say things like that. Are you saying it was something else? What's going on?"
"Oh joy. I think we're going to have exposition again." Shikaku complained.
"Why are you so grumpy about that." Tsume turns to him.
"It gets a little annoying at times." Even if it is rather informative. It's still boring.
From the looks of it, that crack isn't from Naruto's punch. It looks like it was cut with something sharp. Kakashi closes his eyes in concentration. Then realization must've dawned on him as his eyes widen. Wait a minute.
Then they have to turn around because Bee decided it would have been a good time to attack the statue once again and goes for the attack. The man in the mask doesn't approve and activates a barrier around the statue. "Uchiha Flame Formation!" the man yells as he slaps his fingers on the ground.
"That man most certainly is an Uchiha." Fugaku agrees. Only an Uchiha would know about that technique and be able to pull it off so easily.
"But we still have no idea who." Mikoto agrees with her husband.
Bee makes contact with the barrier and winces. "Hot. Hot." He yells as he tries to dispel the flames from his hands.
"Are you all right, Octopops and Eight-o?" Naruto asks the two of them.
"Do I look alright?" Came the sarcastic remark from the other. The flames are still burning on his hands.
"Now that he's erected a barrier, we have no choice but to tackle the masked guy first." Gai decides.
"I think that would have been the best choice regardless." Shikamaru suspects. Even if they managed to get the statue down it seemed to be controlled by the man, who might have been able to create another one.
"I agree." His father said.
"That's been my plan since the beginning, y'know." Naruto responds.
Kakashi still hasn't said a word. He's too lost in thought. Could it be? No? That's impossible. Thought like that are running through his mind. But. I'd never heard the Kamui could be stopped. Kakashi flashes back to what happened previously. But if the crack in his mask was caused by the kunai I used my Kamui on. That means his ninjutsu is… Kakashi takes a deep breath. It's no use thinking about it. It's an implausible theory but it's not impossible either.
"Oh shit." Itachi's eyes are wide.
Shisui turned to his cousin. "What is it Itachi?"
"I don't think I should bring it up just yet." There is a dark sort of look in his eyes. A sadness Shisui hadn't previously seen in his best friend.
"Gai, Naruto, Bee," Kakashi starts. "There is something I want to test. Help me out."
The screen slowly fades to black and not much later the masked man appears once again. The team must've undergone some sort of planning session and they would get to see that plan right now.
"Really? We miss the planning session again!" Tenten complains.
"All for the dramatics." Lee laughs, even if he was a little annoyed as well. He just hoped it paid off in the end.
Kakashi, Gai, and Naruto jump on one of Bee's hands and he launches the trio into the direction of the masked man. They fly at top speed but manage to avoid the flying boulders. After a little bit Gai stays behind to prepare for the attacks. He takes out his weapons and twirls them around. He uses it to smash a boulder on the way but that was only a distraction. Gai goes in for another more direct attack and uses his weapons to swing at the masked man. They all faze through without problem. The man manages to catch the weapons part way through.
"You underestimate the sharingan too much." He says. "I can see your movements." Then he activates a strange sucking power, very similar in looks to Kakashi's Kamui. He uses it to suck up Gai's weapons. "I'll be taking these."
"I think I know what Itachi means now." Fugaku said. There is too much similarity for it to be anything else. But how?
Then as the masked man is using his technique Naruto comes rushing in with a rasengan straight at the man's face. You could hear the masked man smirk as he makes himself intangible to make the rasengan pass right through him. But Kakashi had prepared for that in his plan and at the last second he uses his Kamui to make the rasengan disappear into the other dimension.
Time seems to slow as Naruto passes through the masked man, the air around them is silent. And then, all of a sudden, there is an explosion of sound as the shoulder of the masked man explodes.
"The sharingan of Kakashi and the masked man are linked." Hiruzen said. The others nod in agreement.
"That's usually only something that happens with sharingan from the same set." Shisui said before he caught himself in realization. "You think that…?" Itachi nods. Now Shisui could understand why he's so sad.
The trio regroups once again to give each other a slight update.
"Why don't you guys just explain it already! I can hear you whispering you know!" Naruto yelled at the back with the adults.
"I think an explanation will come soon." Mikoto smiled at the boy, but deep inside she does want to explain it.
"It's just like you said, Kakashi-sensei! I don't really understand why, but I finally landed an attack on him!" Naruto cheers.
The masked man who was laying on the ground realized what must have happened. "I see. Naruto didn't undo his rasengan." The man turns to stand up once again. "Kakashi, you used the Kamui to send the rasengan away."
"I knew it." Kakashi says but his voice is lacking any sort of excitement, instead it seems to be filled with something akin to anger. "I thought he had two different jutsu, one that lets him slip through things and one to suck things in or take them out. But that's not the case."
"Kakashi is going to explain it now." Iruka smiled.
Naruto and Gai turn to him in surprise.
"It's all one single jutsu!" Kakashi explains.
"That's way too dramatic for Kakashi's lack of enthusiasm." Chouji said while munching on some more snacks. Ino laughs in response. She could see where he's coming from.
The masked man stands up.
Gai turns to Kakashi. "Can you explain the jutsu in simpler terms?"
"The way his jutsu works is really simple," Kakashi starts, "you see the jutsu he uses to absorb things, and the one he uses to slip through objects is the transportation technique."
"What do you mean? How can you tell?" Gai asks once again. Naruto too is paying rapt attention.
"Let me explain it in order." Kakashi begins. "First the crack in his mask. My kunai made that mark. I'm absolutely certain. And from the look of the wound on his right shoulder, I can tell it was caused from being hit by Naruto's rasengan just now."
"I think I know where he's going with this." Neji said. He could see it as well.]
"What these two things have in common is that they both involve areas of his body that were overlapping and in contact with Naruto's body while he was slipping through him.
"There is another thing that the two have in common. That is that the kunai and rasengan were both transported by me to the Kamui dimension."
"The man transports himself to the same dimension Kakashi sends things to with the Kamui." Sasuke managed to put two and two together.
"That's correct." Itachi smiled at his little brother. He should be glad to not be plagued by the same emotions as himself.
"So, their sharingan are connected." Sasuke nodded at himself in approval.
"In other words, from this, I can tell his transportation technique is linked to the same time-space as my Kamui." As Kakashi says this a close up of the two men in question appears. The masked man's right side with his sharingan visible and Kakashi's left side with his sharingan visible. Then Kakashi's eyes narrow.
The masked man rips the torn sleeve from his right arm as Gai turns to Kakashi. "Wait a second! What do you mean? How come his visual jutsu and your are linked?"
"Kakashi are you alright." Iruka turned to look at the man to his side only to see the man in question heaving uncontrollably.
Tsume's mother instinct kick in. "Breathe kid. You look like you're about to faint." She had a pretty good idea what was going through his head. And she always thought of Kakashi as some sort of unofficial Inuzuka.
She put a hand on Kakashi's back an begins with simple rubbing motions.
Itachi looked at his parents in concern for his senpai. "You think Kakashi will calm down?"
"I don't think I would stay calm either if I was in his shoes." Mikoto said. She could see how hard it was on the boy. It's like reopening a wound that had never quite healed right.
Then Bee comes back into the picture with his very own question. "Are all transportation techniques linked between all users?"
"No they aren't. I suspect it's just him and me." Kakashi sighs.
"So, that man has Obito's eye." Neji must've realized it now.
"It seems like that." Shikamaru already knew where this was going but thought it better for the screen to do the talking. He had a habit of sounding a bit too uninterested to be respectful to Kakashi.
"I have a feeling there is a little bit more to it than that." Neji was smart. He knew it when people were hiding something.
"Never mind that!" Naruto interjects. "Why did your kunai hit and not my punch?"
"That's right fool! Even with shared time-spaces, it should still be impossible to hit a guy that can slip through things." Bee adds.
"Except that our theory that he slips through things was wrong." Kakashi continues to explain. "Although it looks like your attack slipped right through him, in fact, only the part of his body that would have been in contact with yours was transported into time-space." The visuals on the screen continue to add to the explanation of Kakashi.
"Those visuals actually make things a lot easier to understand." Iruka took notes to incorporate something similar in his lessons in the future.
"I think even Naruto might be able to grasp the concept like that." Sasuke agreed.
Naruto gives the boy a shove in response. "What's that supposed to mean."
"In other words, the left side of his mask that your punch slipped through was simply transported into time-space and no longer existed on this plane. At least materially." Kakashi sighs again. "And then almost simultaneously, remember I hurled that kunai into time-space using Kamui?" On the screen it appeared right next to the left side on the masked man and nicked his mask. "Just as his momentum carried him forward when he extended his arm toward you to grab you. My kunai finished entering time-space and scored his mask."
"Did the same happen with the rasengan?" Naruto asks.
"Yeah." Then the screen displayed how it all happened in slow-motion.
"But how come both of your visual prowess's are linked?" Bee asks.
"Kakashi, is he?" Gai must've realized the implications by now and looks at his friend to see if he's alright.
"Look at Gai being a supportive friend." Ino smiled. She could only wish to be a friend like that to her friends as well.
"He might be crazy but he's fiercely loyal to those he cares about." Hiruzen explained.
Kakashi turns to the masked man and asked. "Where did you get that eye?"
"Where, huh?" the masked man said as he stood up. Then he laughs. "If anything, in the last Great War. The battle of Kannabi Bridge. The same battle where you earned the nickname 'the sharingan hero'.
Kakashi's eyes are wide in shock. "Are you?" There is a sort of panic behind those words.
"I thought I told you now to flap your mouth so readily!" the masked man points at Kakashi. There is a certain amount of delight behind his words. "You're just all talk now! Your words are worthless!"
"He's trying to rile Kakashi up, isn't he?" Sakura had noticed the looks the adults were passing around and knew something was up. She might not know what exactly, but she knew it was serious.
"It does seem rather targeted." Ino agrees.
"It's too late for regrets." The masked man's voice turns deeper at that. "Reality just keeps cruelly moving ahead." The moon hangs red in the sky. "You've seen reality, so you ought to know. Not one wish ever gets granted in this world. That's why I'm guiding it to the dream to of infinite Tsukuyomi."
"The what?" Naruto blinked. He never heard of something like that before.
The other people in the room shrug. "No clue."
"I haven't heard of anything like it before." Mikoto said. But one look at her husband told her that he might have a clue.
"Well. We'll best hope for an explanation then." Shisui shrugged. He would have to write that down.
Kakashi is breathing heavily, clearly trying to hold in his emotions but failing miserably. "I'm going to create a world where it won't be necessary for a hero to pathetically make excuses in front of a grave."
"Ouch." Jiraiya winced. "He certainly is trying to hurt Kakashi specifically."
Gai turns to his friend to comfort him. "Hey, are you all right, Kakashi?"
Meanwhile the Kakashi in the real world seemed to have calmed down at least a little. The look on his face is still blank. He's probably dissociating really bad. But Tsume's got him in her grip, so all the people turn back to the screen.
The screen turns black for another second, clearly cutting something out. But then it turns on again.
"Kakashi, we ought to…" But Gai stops in his tracks as he sees Kakashi's face of sorrow.
That man, he couldn't be. Kakashi looks at the masked man in front of him. No. There is absolutely no way. You could hear Gai in the background trying to get through to the man. Then he snaps back to reality.
"Are you listening?" Gai asks. "The more diversions, the better when attacking him! We have to join the fight." Meanwhile Naruto is already on the battlefield fighting. "I've got a pretty good idea of what you're thinking right now. I feel the same way but leave it be. There's no time to wallow in sentimentality. Your former subordinate, Naruto, has already jumped into action!"
"I wish I had a friend like Gai." Chouji muttered.
"Am I not good enough for you?" Shikamaru glared at his friend. Chouji sighed. Shikamaru was special in his own way but he could be a little more enthusiastic when encouraging others.
The masked man has his swirly jutsu ready. "How stupid, jumping in alone!" He yells as he unleashes some shuriken in Naruto's direction.
Bee deflects a couple of them but the last one Naruto catches in a spontaneously appearing Kurama head. Like a dog catching a frisbee, only a billions times larger.
"Why's that so cool? And why can't Akamaru do that?" Kiba complained.
"He's a little too small for that." Tsume smiled while still patting Kakashi's back.
Meanwhile with Gai and Kakashi, Gai keeps trying to get Kakashi to move. But the man still seems to be stuck in some sort of tragedy of his own.
"You've got a winning track record against me now. This better not be enough to slow you down, Kakashi!"
Kakashi narrows his eyes and readies himself for an attack. "Let's go Gai!"
"He does have to get over it quickly. Or he's dead." Fugaku saw it happen before. Someone got stuck on something and they didn't make it out alive.
"Being stuck in the past in the middle of a battle is never a good thing." Jiraiya agreed, but it was such a human thing to do.
"My dear Rival! That's what I'm talking about." And the two of them take off. Kakashi activates his mangekyo and so does the masked man. They are of identical patterns, and as such from the same set.
The masked man makes a ton of rods appear and they strike Bee down. They clearly do something against tailed beast powers as he finds himself restrained. Naruto creates a shadow clone that's using the rasengan that goes to the masked man.
The masked man sees through their trick as Naruto signaled Kakashi before. So, the masked man thinks they are using the same trick again and quickly dispels the clone, not knowing it was a clone. This takes him by surprise.
"Naruto does use his shadow clones a lot." Sasuke said.
"If you've got enough chakra it's a viable technique for distractions and the like." Iruka explained. It was however something only few could do.
Kakashi falls down on the ground his sharingan eye bleeding. Gai goes to help his buddy.
"Seems my attack was quicker that you, Kakashi." The masked man laughs. "You wasted another Kamui."
Then Naruto sends out a large bijuudama at the masked man who avoids it by slipping into his own dimension. That's where the surprise is, and the shadow clone Naruto had previously send was sent to by Kakashi. It then uses the rasengan to obliterate the mask the man was wearing. Finally revealing his real face.
"You thought!" Naruto cheered.
"Got him!" Kiba cheered along with him.
It's what Kakashi had feared. His worst nightmare comes to life. In front of them was an older, but still distinctly Uchiha Obito.
"Is that you? Obito?" Kakashi asks.
"Is that really you Obito? I thought you died?" Gai asks as well.
"It really is." Shisui looked at the screen as if he had seen a ghost.
"But how?" That was the sentiment shared amongst most the people in the room.
Silence reigns across the battlefield.
"There's no mistake, that's Uchiha Obito." Kakashi says as the screen turns black.
"How did Obito survive that ordeal?" Neji wondered.
"And why did he turn to the enemy side?" That was the real question. Obito was always cheerful, how could he have turned to bitter.
"Guys?" Shisui began. He was looking through the large amount of notes when he noticed something.
"What is it?" Fugaku answered.
"Previously we theorized that the masked man must've known Madara to work with him. But Madara died decades before Obito was even born." That was a major flaw in their previous theory.
"I have no idea." Jiraiya answered.
"There might've been a middleman?" Itachi suggested.
"I don't think so. Because why would they wait so long then?" Shikaku put a halt to that theory. It wouldn't do good to theorize too much. Number would give them the answers they seeked at some point.
"You're right about that."
Notes:
There is something more going on with Itachi's betrayal
Sasuke gets Itachi's eyes
Itachi get's revived as well
Obito is the man behind the mask
Obito can make himself intangible (sort of he transports himself to another dimension that only he and Kakashi-senpai can access)
Obito is evil and works with Madara somehow?
They're trying something called the infinite tsukiyomi, no idea what it is
Sorry this took so long. I have school and many other issues that got in the way. But here's the next chapter
