This is the penultimate chapter, the next one will be the final.
"Well, well, well, it looks like you guys were competent enough to find us." Luka said.
"Doesn't matter, because you three are dying today." Meiko said.
"Guys, I don't think I can do this," Rin said sounding scared "I'm physically too weak."
"Don't worry Rin, believe in yourself." Kaito said.
"But they're going to destroy me, you know it, I know it, let's not act I'm a threat to them." She said.
"Look dear sister, if you help me here, I'll never say no to another party ever again." Len said.
"Okay, I guess I have to woman up." Rin said.
Kaito grabbed a laser-sword from his pocket, he grabbed two more from there and passed them to the siblings "Take these!" He said.
"Look at their swords, they look like absolute trash." Meiko laughed.
"Let's not underestimate anyone here." Luka said, she was obviously smarter than her leader.
"Less talking, more ass-whooping!" Meiko said as the N.D.L. ran towards Rin, Len, and Kaito to fight.
Meiko started fighting Kaito as he was clearly their biggest threat, Luka started fighting Rin as she was clearly the easiest to get rid of.
Len remained standing as he saw Miku standing "Miku." He said.
"Len." She said back.
He ran towards her and she caught him in a hug.
"I'm sorry I couldn't arrive earlier." He said.
"The fact you came this far to save me is enough." She said.
"Aw you poor good looking darling, it's such a shame that I have to kick your ass." Meiko kept swinging her sword as she said this to Kaito.
"I get no satisfaction from compliments from monsters like you." Kaito kept blocking Meiko's hits with his own sword.
"Trust me, I'd marry you if you weren't trying to stop me." Meiko started blocking Kaito's strikes.
"What makes you think I'd say yes to the wedding?" Kaito continued with his strikes that Meiko was blocking.
"I never said the marriage was gonna be consensual from your side." Meiko said.
Luka was dominating Rin effortlessly. The little girl was getting overwhelmed, she stood no chance.
"It's no use, she's far stronger, tougher, and more skilled than me." Rin thought, she was losing hope.
Rin suddenly saw that Kaito's Flobbles had dropped from his pocket as he was fighting.
"Stop it for a moment!" Rin said to which Luka stopped attacking.
"What is it?" Luka sounded annoyed.
"I surrender, you can kill me, but can you let me have one last wish before you take my life." Rin was trying to catch Luka in a trick.
"Fine, it's not like if you tricked me, you could turn the tide, you're too incompetent for that," Luka said confidently "what's your wish?"
"I'll come back in a moment." Rin walked a few feet away to pick the Flobbles up, then injected it to Luka's arm.
"The hell?" Luka didn't understood.
"I've injected you with something lethal, you'll be dead in a while," Rin said "no need to bother fighting back."
"You.. you think a Flobbles would kill me?" Luka looked baffled.
"Yeah, it should reasonably be able to kill anything." Rin said.
"RIN! YOU IDIOT!" Kaito yelled from the distance while he continued fighting "That thing can't kill humans, it's made from poisonous alien DNA that humans have been infected with, therefore are immune to it!"
"M-meaning, this pink-haired lady is going to survive?" Rin was scares now.
"Shit," Luka said with a sinister smile "you turned out to be more incompetent than I expected, you didn't knew what a Flobbles was, thanks for proving my point."
"The few minutes that we were dancing, those were some of the greatest moments in my life!" Len said.
"Those moments felt special to me too." Miku answered.
"Miku..." He whispered.
"What is it?" She got concerned.
"Would you wanna be my girlfriend." He asked.
"Absolutely!" Her voice was on the verge of tears.
As Kaito and Meiko were having their laser-sword fight, Meiko saw that Miku and Len were enjoying an emotional moment together. She felt appalled by watching them together, then she thought of something. The door to the treasure is open now. She doesn't need Miku anymore. She could do whatever she wants with her. So, she decided to do what she wanted.
Meiko left the swordfight with Kaito and started running towards Miku and Len. Kaito was confused as to why she just abandoned the fight with him, but he was about to find out. Meiko got behind Miku, and literally stabbed her in the back, Miku was injured so severely now, she had no way of surviving left anymore. It was over for her. Meiko removed her sword from Miku's body and Miku collapsed on the ground. Len was visibly slowly tearing up.
"What's the matter?" Meiko said in a psychotic voice "You gonna cry?"
Len was livid "I'm gonna make you hate your existence!" He said.
"I should've started chasing her when she ran off," Kaito whispered to himself "it's my fault."
Meanwhile Luka was overwhelming Rin, it was getting increasingly harder for Rin to block Luka's attacks.
"I'm sorry brother, it looks like this is where my road ends." Rin thought to herself.
"Prepare to meet your doom!" Luka yelled as she was about to hit the killing blow, but Kaito blocked her hit and positioned his sword under her neck.
"Not while I'm around." Kaito said in an intimidating voice.
"Goddammit, it looks like you'll live to fight another day, congratulations you failure of a girl." Luka said to Rin.
"So, you surrender now?" Kaito said.
"I surrender." Luka had no other option left at that point.
