Detective Conan Movie 17: Private Eye in the Distant Sea
Quick explanation:
In the movie, Conan knock Kogoro to do his deduction right after Spy X is captured but in this AU, he already does his deduction and on pursuit to find Spy X. Ran is looking for him inside the ship while Conan is outside looking for Spy X and also Yuuki who got captured again

Conan look around to find Spy X, he search every inch of the deck until he spot Yuuki, he run toward them and call for Yuuki which to be hold by Spy X. Yuuki cries for help so Conan quickly attack him with his soccer ball and Spy X dodge him but he let go Yuuki from his hand. Conan shout to Yuuki to run and call the police to come here or at least get help. Yuuki was hesitated but Conan force him so that he didn't get captured again so he run away leaving Conan with Spy X.
"You really get on my nerves you brat!" shout Spy X while letting out a little knife from his belt
At the other side
Ran look around to find Conan but instead he found Yuuki who's telling Ran about Spy X, she quickly call the police who happens to be there and then they see Spy X try to escape but Ran use her Karate to take him down but Spy X let out the little knife that he have
"Ran! Bend down!" shout Sato from behind
Ran bend down and Sato shot her gun which make his knife fall out from his hand. Ran quickly kick him and held him down to the floor of the ship. Sato quickly help Ran and handcuffed him
With that Sato quickly arrest him and want to take him inside the ship. Suddenly the detective boys and Sonoko meet Ran in worried faces
"Ran-san! Have you seen Conan-kun?!" shout Mitsuhiko worried
"Eh no… I was looking for him here"
"Conan? you mean the boy with glasses?" asked Yuuki worried
Suddenly they heard a laugh coming from Spy X which make Sato who hold him surprised. His laugh as if very satisfied and so evil which make the one who heard it really angry
"So his name is Conan huh… No wonder he act like Sherlock Holmes a lot" said Spy X
Yuuki goes in front of all of them and glare at him
"Where is he?! What did you do to him?!" shout Yuuki in anger but also scared
"What do you mean Yuuki?" asked Ran confused
"He… he saved me but then he told me to get help while he continue to fight him"
Yuuki pointing at Spy X which make Ran and the others are surprised and glare at him. Sato quickly glare at him and ask for what did he mean by that
"Ohoho that brat really annoy me… the fact that he's the first one who found out my identity really surprised me. After I meet him for the second time, I determined to kill him properly but really, he have a very strong reflexes" laugh Spy X
Ran doesn't seem happy with the statement so she goes to him and held his collar in anger
"WHERE IS HE?!" shout Ran
"Ran-chan!?" shout Sato and Takagi worried
Luckily Spy X already handcuffed so he can't attack Ran or anyone around him. He just smile evilly while glaring at Ran
"I don't have to answer, I'm sure you know the rest"
"WHERE IS HE!?"
Ran start to let out tears and hoping that what she think is not really the truth so she held her hope that Spy X just put Conan somewhere to shut up. She pray so hard that this demon didn't kill him yet to shut him up
"Hm! That boy dodge my attacks but of course, his reflexes is very different from normal grade schooler so I just take advantage of it when he stand on the ship handle"
After he told her, Ran let go and deduct everything and shock realization comes to her mind. The terrifying scenario hunt into her head ever since Spy X mention the fact that Conan was standing on the ship handle. Takagi, Sato, Sonoko and the kids are still confused by what he means, Spy X just continue laughing by seeing the confused faces
"You still don't understand?! Are you even a police, come on! If the boy stand on the handle and I attack him at a wrong direction, he will dodge me at the wrong direction… which means now he is" said Spy X smirking while looking at the sea

Flashback
Spy X let out his knife and start to attack the boy, but Conan use his shoes to add power so he can dodge all the attacks
"So strong!" said Conan glaring at Spy X
"Cih, you have a very strong reflexes"
Spy X attack him even harder and trying to at least hurt him on his body but since his target is a grade schooler so it's harder than it seems. Conan dodge all his attacks but the knife got into his lifejacket and make it torn apart. Spy X still persistent to kill the boy and then torn the lifejacket other side and make his belt torn apart and fall from his waist.
Conan quickly catch his belt and run to find something as weapon to which he found some ropes, he quickly shove the ropes to Spy X and jump to the ship handle so he didn't get into the rope. He used all of his balance to stay still at the ship handle, as he was about to let out the soccer ball from his belt, Spy X shove the rope that he got to Conan as a result he lose his balance in the handle and fall to the opposite of the handle which to be

Realization comes to the kids mind and they glare horror
"No… Conan-kun!" shout Ayumi crying
"Don't tell me… Conan-kun is.." "Thrown to the sea!?" shout Mitsuhiko and Genta together
Sonoko goes to Ran and held her to calm down
"Ran! We have to tell your father and the ship crew now!" shout Sonoko
"Um!"
All of them run inside the ship, Sato tell Takagi and the other officers to hold Spy X somewhere to questioning him even more. Spy X sees the girls and kids running toward the ship just laughing evilly as if he just won the game. Since he's sure that Conan now is dead since the temperature of the sea is dropping and rough waves
In the sea
The waves are going very roughly due to the course of the ship. Conan barely maintain to stay on the surface but he keep sinking every time a wave comes to him
"Come on… just stay focus!" thought Conan under the sea
Suddenly the waves attack him again from underwater which make his lifejacket loose and the soccer belt already gone from his hands. Conan start to panic and pray that the crew notice he's being missing and now on pursuit to find him
On the ship
Ran, Sonoko and the kids tell Inspector Megure about Spy X have been captured along with Sato and they told him that Spy X shove Conan into the sea. The ship captain who heard it quickly run to the main control and bark to the crew to find the boy. The crew quickly do their procedures and rotate the ship to find the offboard boy. Ran pray so much for Conan's safety while the crew start to bark at each other while moving the ship
"Move! I made some calculations based on the tides, he should be around here"
"No way… this is the four times bigger than usual!"
"Because of the low pressure coming from the southwest, the sea currents are faster than usual. The waves are starting to get rougher too"
The captain launch the patrol helicopter and quickly turn on the communicator, Ran was about to go inside the helicopter but Inspector Megure forbid her and let the professional do it
"Considering the stamina of the victim, every seconds counts. We have to find him before the sunset!"
"Roger"
"Every seconds counts?! Conan-kun will be okay right?!" shout Ran crying to the captain and all the ship crew
"Ran…" said Sonoko and Sato comforting her
"What happen when somebody fall from the deck?" asked Sato serious
"He should be wearing his lifejacket but that's all he would have. If he fell at the wrong place…"
Ran stared shock looking at the captain starting to think negatively of any worst scenarios
"Of course, there's still hope…"
Ran fell to the floor and cry due to Conan's safety on that wide cold sea all alone and maybe tortured due to rough waves. The kids start to cry especially Yuuki because he thought that it's his fault that Conan have to be thrown the sea by Spy X
"Don't we have any guarantee of his safety?" asked Megure serious to the captain
"All we can do know is leave it to the patrol helicopter"
All of them are now looking at the helicopter monitor on the screen, Ran begging on her knees that Conan is found alive
In the sea
Conan start to feel weak due to many waves had hit him. Not to mention, due to his lifejacket are gone, he have a hard time swimming to the surface between the waves and taking breather. One strong wave hit him which make him drown again into the water
"Come on.. just a little longer!" thought Conan holding his breath and trying to go to the surface
On the ship
"We are now at the location, we're beginning the search" said the crew at the helicopter
"I'll call for him at the speaker, plug me in" said the crew in the ship
The patrol helicopter crew connect the helicopter speaker to the communicator to let the crew on the ship to call out the missing boy
"Edogawa-kun! Edogawa Conan-kun! We came to rescue you! Hold on a little bit longer!"
Ran stand up and quickly goes beside the crew who is speaking through the communicator
"Conan-kun! Where are you Conan-kun! Please show yourself" shout Ran while crying
"Conan-kun!" "Hold on Conan-kun!" shout the Detective boys and Yuuki while crying
"Brat! Show yourself!" shout Sonoko beside Ran who also worried for the boy
Suddenly the crew talk to the captain and point out that waves are getting stronger and they need to enlarge the search field. But they don't have time left before sunset which make the crew worried and so they limit the search field
The helicopter make a turn after the captain order to which unfortunately, Conan was just few meters where the helicopter turn around
Conan starting to have a rough time to adjust his breathing of getting air and drown into the water due to the waves
"Come on something… anything… to alert them" thought Conan while trying to think underwater
Suddenly a realization came to him when he touch one of his pocket, there are some of Kogoro's flashy name cards. Conan hurriedly goes to the surface and thrown the name card from his pocket and let the water float them so that his savior can notice it
"Please anyone… notice it" thought Conan hoping for miracle
Suddenly another rough wave wash him back to the underwater, and thanks to the rough wave, his glasses fall of from his face. Conan tried so hard to relax and hold his last air in his mouth and struggle back to the surface
The crew start to get worried and they always look at the time. One of them said that there's less than 15 minutes before sunset. Those words triggered Ran
"Sunset… Why does that matter!? Keep on looking until you find him please!" shout Ran to the crew in anger and trembling in fear of losing the boy that she think as a brother
"I wish we could… But in this season, the water temperature drops suddenly just before sunset, at 5 PM… so even if we find him after 5 PM…"
Nanami quickly shake her head to stop the crew to tell more about that worst scenario, the captain quickly bark at him to stop
"That's enough, Kishi-san!"
Ran start to tremble in fear, now she can't think of anything and praying so hard that Conan is found before that worst scenario happen. Not to mention, he's just a child so it will take him faster than the time adult have. Suddenly her heart start to panic when she heard that the crew want to abort the search and leave it to the rescue squad
The kids start to yell at the crew in anger because they can't find their friend who's now lost on the sea, Ran just look down thinking hard and one person flash toward her mind
"If I were Shinichi then… then… what should I do" thought Ran start to focus
Suddenly a realization comes to her. She didn't wear her watch on her hands, through she borrow Mitsuhiko's radio watch at the beginning of their tour. After that she remembered where the watch is

Flashback
At near main control ship
Ran and Conan was alone while Sonoko and the other kids are searching for treasure at the cafeteria. Ran take off her watch and give it to Conan
"Nee Conan-kun, can you give this back to Mitsuhiko-kun" said Ran giving the radio watch to Conan
"Eh? I thought Ran-neechan need it to know time?" asked Conan surprised
"Yes… but I think, I will stay beside Sonoko to know time so I don't really need it. Oh and can you hold this for me?"
Ran gives him the Kogoro's flashy name cards which surprised Conan for a moment and of course he laugh seeing the really flashy cards on Ran's hand
"Eh why?" said Conan seems unhappy to hold it
"Well since you always by dad side so I figured you can be the one who give him"
"Ahahaha… fine..."
Conan take the cards and put it on his pocket which he didn't quite liking to hold it

At the deck
"But still it's amazing huh at the main control" said Mitsuhiko happily
"Ahh since this Aegis Destroyer can detect any movement around it even underwater with radio wave radar" said Conan explaining
"Let me guess, Shinichi-kun told you that?" asked Sonoko to the boy with glasses
"Hehehehe" laugh Conan

Ran look at Mitsuhiko who seems to be not wearing his watch which confirmed it but she start to doubt her deduction and scared that if she's wrong. Suddenly the captain said to abort the search which make Ran have no choice to shout her deduction
"Radio watch!" shout Ran which grab everyone's attention
"I give Mitsuhiko-kun's radio watch to Conan-kun, he haven't give it back to you right?!" asked Ran serious to Mitsuhiko
"Y-yes, Conan-kun haven't give it to me- AHH THAT WATCH SEND RADIO SIGNAL RIGHT ON 5 PM! That watch is waterproof so it's no problem!" shout Mitsuhiko
"Captain!" said Ran looking at the captain which he quickly nod understand what she meant
"Prepare the radio wave radar immediately!"
The crew hurriedly done their settings and evacuate people on the deck so that they can turned on the radio wave radar. Moments after evacuation, they quickly turned on the radio wave radar. The captain countdown to 5 PM which is to determined everything. Few seconds passed and the time on the clock has changed
5 PM has arrived, but the crew that look at the radar said that there's no response from the radar which shock all of them in the room
"What?! why?!" shout Megure in shock
"Maybe his radio watch has already sunk deep into the sea… so in other words…"
The crew revelation make all of them hold their breaths. The kids broke down, Sato start to cry as well, Sonoko bend to the floor in shock but no one can determined how shock and shivering Ran is hearing what the crew just said, the fact that Conan is determined already died alone in the wide sea.
"No way… Conan-kun…" said Ran fall to the floor
Suddenly Ran have a flashback of her with Conan together at the ship

Flashback
Conan was holding Ran's hand since Ran insists to go with him to the toilet
"I nearly got lost when I went to toilet earlier" said Ran giggle
Conan just laugh at her and look at her which she notice the stare
"What's wrong?" asked Ran
"Eh well I find it funny, Ran-neechan always lost a way but every time you search for me, you always found me" said Conan smiling
"Well when it comes to Conan-kun, I should found you easily since you are the same as that stupid mystery geek, always run into cases and always curious at anything"
"Hehehe"
Back to present

.
"I said that to him… but in the end I can't find him… Conan-kun…" thought Ran while squeezing her shirt shoulders and drop to the floor
"NOOOO!"
Ran shout angrily which grab nearly everyone of the ship. Her voice are strong and sad at the same time, she didn't know that someone also hears it
In the sea
Conan close his eyes and let the water drown him more underwater, he don't have air or much strength anymore due to his grade schooler body. Also the fact that the water is even colder than before which stun his body to move. He wants to give up until he heard a voice which he knows right away who is it
"Ran…"
With that Conan decide not to give up and force his last strength to go to the surface one more time
On the ship
Suddenly the radio wave radar detect an unknown signal, which the crew quickly conclude that it's the boy and the signal is getting stronger. The captain order him to tell the exact coordinate to the helicopter
The helicopter shows that there's no sign of the boy but they see some kind of shining objects on the sea. Nanami realize that the shining objects maybe the name cards that he receive from Kogoro
"Captain! The objects must be name cards! Follow the objects to the source, I'm sure the boy is at the source"
"Eh?"
Ran open his eyes in surprised by Nanami's statement and then she also realize it. Conan must take out the name cards so that anyone can notice him immediately
"That must be my father's name cards! please follow it!" shout Ran
The captain nod and talk to the crew in the patrol helicopter to find the source of the shining objects, the helicopter quickly do what the captain said and follow it to the source
"Conan-kun... please!" thought Ran while falling to the floor
The helicopter are now at the source of the shining objects and start to descending
"There's another object beside the shiny objects!"
There was a moment of silence by all in the room and also the helicopter
"Found him! We found him! We can determined that he's still alive!"
The monitor shows Conan is covering his eyes from the helicopter light while trying to stay on the surface. Conan notice that one crew is descending from the helicopter and goes to in front of him holding him. With that he stop his feet from moving and the exhaustion attack him
"It's alright young boy, you are save now" said the crew to Conan while putting a lifeguard that connected to the helicopter around his body
Conan give a weak smile and who's now relief that he's already been found. After determined that, he suddenly fell unconscious in the crew hands
On the ship
The entire crew shout in happiness hearing the news, Sato quickly hug Takagi with tears of happiness, Sonoko bend down in relief. The kids are happy by the news and of course Ran let out tears of relief that they have found Conan. The helicopter crew quickly saving the boy and take him to the helicopter.
"How's the victim condition?" asked the captain in relief
"His body temperature is very low and his breathing is very vague. For now we will give him first aid, the boy is now unconscious due to exhaustion of fighting the waves. This boy swim at the sea without lifejacket on him, we will go straight to the ship so that he can get more thoroughly first aid before going to the hospital"
"Alright, the medical crew will be waiting"
Ran who heard that immediately run out from the main control and wait for the helicopter to arrive to see Conan herself to make sure that he will be alright. As on cue the helicopter land and when they open the door, they put off a bed stroller with a boy on it which to be of course the boy who was offboard earlier
"Conan-kun!" shout Ran while looking at the unconscious boy
He is very pale and he's struggling in breathing due to exhaustion. She also notice that his glasses is missing so he can see full of his tired face, so she and the rest of the crew bring him to the ship's infirmary so that the medical crew can give him more thoroughly first aid medication. Ran comes with them, although she was almost forbid to enter the infirmary but she force herself because she's his guardian so they let her stay but ask her not to interrupted
Conan's clothes are very wet, the crew ask if he have a secondary clothes but his clothes are mostly at the hotel. The crew quickly take off his outer clothes and quickly analyze his condition. Ran was by his side the entire time hoping that Conan is okay. Suddenly the heard a moan from the boy
"Little boy! Hang in there!" shout one of the crew who notice that the boy is waking up
Ran quickly jump beside the bed and hold Conan's hand in worried
"Conan-kun! Hang in there, Conan-kun!" said Ran to the boy's face
Conan start to wake up weakly, his eyes still very heavy to open since he used too much strength to survive in the sea
"Ran…neechan.." said Conan in weak voice
"I'm glad… I'm glad Conan-kun!" said Ran crying while holding his hand
Ran was crying hard by Conan side while Conan just give a weak smile to the crying girl
"As Shinichi, I will always found you but as Conan, you will always found me right?" thought Conan before goes back the darkness but in the room knows that he will be alright especially Ran who crying in relief that Conan is already found and still alive from the attempted murder
