Summary: A Darkus bakugan was send to Tokyo rather back to Vestroia with the other bakugan where he meets Mimete and team up to catch pure hearts. Can the Sailor Scouts defeat this new foe or will the Battle Brawlers have to step up to help them out?

Darien looked at Shun and Dan before looking over at Serena. "So, these group of kids just appeared out of nowhere so they could help us with the heart snatchers?"

Serena nodded, "That's right. Oh, Rini is back as well."

"Really? For what?" asked Darien.

"Training," answered Shun while Dan was munching on some snacks on the table.

"Mm, what kind of training?" wondered Darien before getting up. "Well then, shall we show Shun and Dan around?"

"Oh, that's a wonderful idea Darien," said Serena, happily. "Come on you two, there're a few places that you might like."

Shun and Dan nodded and followed the two out of the door. Darien leads them to a small shopping distract around where he lives before looking over at Shun and Dan.

"Did you bring any other extra clothes?" asked Darien.

Shun thought for a moment before realizing that he and the others only brought a few clothes but not much. He shook his head while Dan slapped his forehead.

"Best we get some new clothes then," said Darien. He looked over at Serena, "Look for some stores with good discounts."

Serena nodded but as she was looking around, she spotted a food stand not too far from them. She smiled, "Oh, look Darien! Let's first get something to eat."

Darien sighed before addressing to Dan and Shun, "Do you two would like some as well?"

"I'm fine, how about you Dan?" replied Shun.

Dan rubbed his head, sheepishly, "I'm good. I think I stuff myself too much snacks back at your place, Darien."

Darien nodded before noticing that Serena was already standing over at the food stand. He shook his head before walking over to her.

Shun sighed, "…this is going to be rather weird. Not only we're staying with people we don't even know but we're going to be separated."

"I know man," said Dan as he leaned to a metal fence. "Ever since the defeat of Naga, all of us have been staying together. Julie was able to move in with Marucho and Alice continued to live with Runo," he turned around and placed his arms on the metal fence, "I wonder how everyone is faring?"

Shun walked up to Dan, "We'll find out when we meet up again with the scouts." Dan nodded before Shun turned to see a familiar pink hair child not too far from them, "Is…that Rini over there?"

Dan turned his head to see it was Rini and she was with a little brunette boy who was dancing around silly. He titled his head, "What's that kid doing?"

Before Shun could reply, they saw the brunette taking off his shorts. He shouted, "I WEAR SAILOR MOON UNDIES!"

Dan and Shun widen their eyes before jumping over the metal fence and dashed over to them. Shun ran up to the small boy and knocked his head, "Hey kid, that's not right!"

Dan kneeled down and helped Rini up, "You alright?"

Rini smiled, "Yea, I am now. Thanks, you two."

Drago popped out from Dan's pocket, "That human is the craziest one that I have ever seen!"

"I agree," said Skyress as she jumped on Shun's shoulder.

The brunette rubbed his head before looking up to see Drago and Skyress. "Oh, what kind of toys are those? How can they talk?"

Suddenly, a woman came behind the boy before getting smacked on the head, again. "Danny, you better have a good explanation when we get home, son!"

"Aw no, I'm in trouble! Ah no, it was her fault!" shouted Danny. He was dragged away by his mother while holding onto his shorts still.

Dan, Shun and Rini watched in complete shock.

"So, what are you doing here Rini?" asked Dan, breaking the silence.

"Well, I finished alternating Raye's, Amy's and Mina's parent's memories," replied Rini. "All there's left is Serena's parents."

"So, you're looking for Serena then?" asked Shun.

Rini blushed, "In a way…in truth, I was going to start on my training."

"What kind of training do you need? You never told," said Dan.

"Well…my mother told me to make friends while I'm in the 21st century, but I have no idea where to start," replied Rini, softly.

'Being a princess must be hard to find true friends,' thought Dan before smiling. "Well, you don't have to worry too much."

"Why?" asked Rini.

Dan grinned, "We're friends, right?"

Rini widened her eyes, "R-Really?"

"Sure we are," said Shun. "I know we've just met, but I think we'll get along quite well."

"Oh!" said Rini before smiling. "This will be easier than I thought it would be!"

"Just be yourself, Rini and you'll find friends that will last for a lifetime," said Dan, placing a hand on Shun's shoulder. "Take me and Mr. Hot-Shot over here. We've been best friends since we were like four years old."

"Be myself? Okay! Hey, I thought you guys were going to Darien's place," said Rini before making a face. "Don't tell me that Serena lost you two?"

"No, we did and he agreed for me to stay at his place," replied Shun. He pointed over at the small shopping distract, "He and Serena were showing us around and getting clothes since we didn't bring much."

"Oh – OH! DARIEN IS AROUND!" said Rini, happily. She looked around, "Where?"

Dan pointed to the left, "Over there. Serena spotted a food stand, so Darien went to buy her something to eat."

"Let's go then!" said Rini before running off.

"Hey, wait up Rini!" shouted Dan, running after the pink hair girl. Shun followed suit, but the sudden movement caused Drago and Skyress to fall off from their partner's shoulders.

"Daniel/Shun!"

"Aw, crud," said Dan but was push aside by Shun.

"Go and follow Rini! I'll get Drago and Skyress!" said Shun before going back to the fallen bakugan. Dan sighed and went after the pink hair girl.

He spotted her at the corner and quickly dashed over to her. He noticed that Rini was staring a certain corner and was blushing a bit. Dan waved his hand in front of Rini's face, "Hey! Earth to Rini? What's up?"

"I…I just saw a really cute girl in a green kimono," replied Rini. She grabbed Dan's hand, "Come on! Let's find her!"

"W-Wait, Rini – ah!" said Dan, getting dragged by the small child. They turned around a corner and Rini stopped, looking around. Dan sighed and looked around as well, but instead spotted Serena and Darien not too far from them.

"I thought she went this direction," said Rini, sadly. She glazed around before smiling happily, "Oh, Darien!" She let go of Dan's hand and ran over to the older man and jumped into his arms.

"Rini, how have you been?" asked Darien. He looked at the brunette, "I see you found Rini, but where's Shun?"

"Shun? Oh man!" said Dan, looking back, "He must still be back there. I'll…um, Serena?"

Serena leaned on Darien's shoulder and glared over at Rini. She then crossed her arms, "Why do you always ruin my time with Darien?"

Rini glared at Serena before hugging her little arms around Darien's neck. She smiled, "He can hang out with me since you have been with him all afternoon."

"No way, little brat! Leave him alone!" said Serena, pulling Darien's shirt.

"But I want Darien to carry me!"

"No way! Let him go!"

"Serena, Rini will you stop!" snapped Darien.

Dan stepped back just as Shun came over to him. Shun crossed his arms, "Why is…Rini on top of Darien's shoulder and Serena pulling him?"

"Rini wanted to hang out with Darien," replied Dan. He tapped his chin, "I have a strange feeling that Rini likes Darien while Serena is a bit jealous about it."

Shun smirked, "Just like how Julie and Runo fight over you."

Dan blushed, "Shut it, Shun! Do-Do you think we should stop them?"

"Na, I think it's rather entertaining – Oh! Here's Drago," said Shun, handing the Pyrus dragonoid to the brunette.

"Thanks Shun," said Dan. He held Drago close to his face, "Sorry pal, I thought you were safe in my pocket."

"Next time, just be careful Daniel," said Drago.

Dan nodded before putting his partner back in his jacket pocket. Shun did the same with Skyress before the two of them watched Serena and Rini fight over Darien from a short distance.

After for a few minutes, Darien stopped the two girls and all of them settled nicely on a bench and eating the food that Darien bought from the stand.

"Here, have some popcorn Darien," offered Rini, kindly.

"Oh no you don't, you mini brat!" said Serena and offered some of her food to Darien. Dan and Shun sighed, watching Serena and Rini argue again.

Darien was about to shout when a voice stopped them. "Well, looks like a couple of parents with an out-of-control kid."

Dan and Shun turned around to see two unknown older teens.

"Hey there, long time no see you two," one joked.

"Amara and Michelle," said Serena, happily.

"Oh wow, you guys are so cool and the best cousins in the world," murmured Rini.

"Zip it, Rini. They're not really your cousins," murmured Serena, quietly. She turned around, blushing, "Besides, you seem to forgotten I'm your mother in another century."

Rini stood up, "It's got to be a mistake! I don't want you to be my mother in the future!"

Dan and Shun watched Serena and Rini argue once again. The brunette leaned over to Shun, "Still can't believe that Rini is from the future, can you?"

Shun crossed his arms, "Same, but she did explain to us on how she got here."

Dan nodded as Darien finished calming down Serena and Rini, again. That's when Amara and Michelle spotted Dan and Shun.

"Who are you two?" asked Amara.

"This is Shun, a distant cousin of mine," replied Darien. "A relative from my mother's side found out about me and sent Shun over to spend some time with me."

"And this is Dan, he's one of my cousins from my father's side," answered Serena. "He's going to stay at my place for a time being. Not only that, turns out that these two know each other. They're online friends, small world, right?"

"Very small world," murmured Michelle before smiling at them. "Pleasure to meet you both. I'm Michelle and this is my cousin, Amara."

"Pleasure," said Shun with a nod.

"Likewise," said Dan then pointed at their kimonos. "Why are you two dressed like that?"

"Oh well, we are thinking going to a Tea House," replied Michelle, smiling. "Would you all like to come with us?"

Darien was about to decline, but quickly Serena accepted the offer.

"Oh, love too as I was dying for a bowl of tea," said Serena, happily as the group started walking. "And along with the tea, how about some cake, ice cream and – oh! How about some cookies and pudding too."

The group reached at the Tea house which Drago and Skyress decided to stay out of and watched from the window. The two bakugan could see that all of them were kneeing on a soft mat and were waiting.

"Oh, it's a Tea Ceremony," murmured Serena, sadly.

Dan leaned to Shun, "Hey, this looks like the same as how your grandparents did in their Tea Ceremony."

Shun nodded, "It sure does, you remember how it works?"

"I believe so," whispered Dan, softly.

That's when they heard the sliding door open. Bowing to them was a girl with dark brown hair and when she got up, she had blue eyes and was wearing a green kimono.

Rini gasped, softly, "Oh wow, it's her!"

"You mean the same girl you spotted not too long ago," whispered Dan and Rini nodded.

"That's Tamasaburo," said Michelle, softly. "She's the principal of a school where they teach the art of preparing in serving tea."

"I, welcome you all in my Tea House," said Tamasaburo before bowing again. Everyone bowed except for Serena and Rini. Serena noticed and quickly bowed while Rini was staring at her with bright eyes.

'This must be fate...precious friendship,' thought Rini.

(I'm skipping the scene where Doctor Tomoe, Eugeal and the making of the next Daimon heart snatcher as most of you all have seen it by now and – I'm too lazy to do it!)

While Tamasaburo was preparing the tea, everyone was kneeing patiently except for Serena and Rini. Serena's feet were completely numb while Rini's were starting to ache.

"How can they stand it? My feet are killing me," murmured Serena, miserably. She whined, "My legs hurt…my feet are completely numb right now. I can't stand it. Can we go home now?"

"You're such a crybaby Serena," said Rini, ignoring her pain by closing her eyes, "Even Dan and Shun are doing better than you."

Serena looked over at the two boys, who were kneeling perfectly well like Darien.

Amara pushed some sweets to Rini, "You're being a good girl, Rini. You're acting more grown-up than Serena."

Rini gasped, happily, "Oh, I love candy!" She grabbed a piece, throwing it into her mouth, "There so good. I can eat a whole dozen."

Serena glared at her before noticing that Rini made a mistake. She smirked and poked on Rini's shoulder which got the small girl's attention.

Rini saw the others were cutting the sweets, however Dan was somewhat doing it, but in a different and decent manner. She blushed before looking over at Tamasaburo who was smiling at her. The pink hair girl felt embarrassed before looking down.

Serena snickered at Rini, but the pink hair child wouldn't have it. She punched Serena's feet which caused Serena to feel so much pain.

Outside, Drago and Skyress were watching the scene play out.

"Can you explain to me what they are supposed to do?" asked Drago. "I mean I never knew that Dan can sit still for this long."

"Ah, that's right. You never seen a Tea Ceremony have you Drago," said Skyress.

"I have not," replied Drago.

"Well, if memory services me correctly, Shun's grandfather did a few before you became Dan's partner," started Skyress. "I watched Shun's grandfather would prepare the tea while his grandmother would give a rather impressive show to everyone. Dan was like Serena as he couldn't kneel that long either, but I believe Shun helped Dan on that problem," she shook her head, "I never really understand the ceremony too well, but Shun told me that it meant to demonstrate respect through grace and good etiquette."

"Mm, that's something I never thought that Dan will ever do," said Drago. Through the window, he saw the girl in the green kimono was balancing a few plates. "Is that the show you were talking about?"

"Yes, something like – oh my! This is not going to end well," said Skyress. Drago turned to see Serena getting up rather weirdly before falling onto the kimono girl.

Tamasaburo dropped the plates, but Amara, Michelle and Darien were able to save them though they notice that they were standing on Serena. Rini was blushing from embarrassment while Dan and Shun had their eyes widen.

"You were right Skyress," murmured Drago just as everyone was leaving the Tea House.

Dan and Shun grabbed their partners after saying good-bye to Amara and Michelle. The four headed back to the shopping distract, finding a dessert shop and bought some.

"That was really awful! You acted so dizzy in there! You made us look ridiculous in front of the master. You're awful Serena," ranted Rini.

"I know. I made such a foul of myself in front of Michelle and Amara," said Serena, sadly.

"That's totally your problem," said Rini.

Serena was about to say something, but Shun interrupted. "By any chance, was this your first time attending a Tea Ceremony?" he asked, and Serena nodded. "For your first time, it wasn't that bad."

"What do you mean? It was a total disaster!" argued Rini.

"Actually," Dan lowered his head down, sheepishly rubbing it, "Serena only made some small mistakes…not like me in my first time."

Drago jumped out of Dan's pocket, landing on the table. He used the brunette's dessert bowl to hide, "Now this I've got to hear."

Dan made a face and covered part of his face.

"It couldn't be that bad?" asked Darien.

Dan dropped his head on the table and signed Shun to tell the tale. Shun sighed, "He made a couple minor mistakes, but the major one was that he drank the hot tea and well…he spit some onto my grandfather."

Darien, Serena and Rini had their eyes widen in shock.

Dan lifted his head, "Shun's grandfather let it pass since it was my first time, but I still got punished by cleaning the tea set afterwards."

"Well, everyone has their own different experience," said Darien then looked over at Rini, "I guess you like Tamasaburo, don't you Rini?"

Rini blushed, "Well…kind of. You see, my mother told me before I left, to make new friends as many people as I can in the 21st century. So many new acquaintances can bring me a valuable friendship."

"Is that right? I imagine in your time, you don't have that many friends," said Darien.

'So, I was right,' thought Dan as Rini nodded.

"Why didn't you say so before Rini?" said Serena. She smiled a bit, "I could've helped you meet new people."

"I don't believe you," snapped Rini, slightly rude. She glared at her, "You would've only made things a big mess."

Serena was about to shout back, but Darien covered her mouth.

"Ah, Serena come on now, take it easy. Now we know why she's here. Rini, give Serena another chance. You both should make up and be friends again."

"I second that," said Dan. He took a bite of his dessert, "Besides, you made a few mistakes as well. The major one was that you almost did cause Tamasaburo to break those cups."

Rini was about to protest, but Shun stopped her.

"It was your fault," said Shun, seriously. He crossed his arms, "Serena only pointed out your mistake, but you mistook it as teasing which resulting you to hit Serena's numb foot, causing her to fall on Tamasaburo. Not only that, if Serena is really your mother in the future, you're showing disrespect towards her even if she's still a teenager."

Rini looked down before seeing Serena was offering her hand to her. She stared at it for awhile before accepting it.

"Right," said Serena then looked at her watch, "We better get going. Rini needs to hypnotize my parents thinking that their nephew is coming over."

Rini nodded and jumped off the chair.

"Well, let's go find some clothes then," said Darien, getting up. "If I remember correctly, there should be a store not too far from here."

The four of them headed to the clothes store. It didn't take long for them to get a few clothes for the two boys before saying farewell to each other.

Dan carried a suitcase with his new clothes, following Serena and Rini to a two-story house. Rini went inside first so she can do her magic before slightly opening the door to signal Serena and Dan to come in.

"Hey, I'm home and look who I found!" shouted Serena, happily.

"Who – oh, Danny! You finally made it," said Ikuko, Serena's mother. She gave Dan a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Now, what's – Daniel! Good to see you again!" said Kenji, Serena's father. "It's been quite some time we haven't seen you. How you been?"

"Um, it's been great," said Dan, awkwardly as Ikuko let go of him. "Thanks again for allowing me to come and visit."

Ikuko and Kenji smiled while a young boy was grinning, happily.

"Alright! I'm not going to be alone!" said Shingo, Serena's younger brother. He wrapped his arms around Dan's neck, "Come on, let me show you where you're going to stay."

Dan was dragged upstairs as Ikuko looked at her daughter.

"Like Danny is going to be using the only guest room Serena, Rini will be bunking with you," said Ikuko before heading back to the kitchen.

Serena sighed, "Right, come on Rini."

Rini pouted but didn't say a word and followed Serena to her room.

Meanwhile, Dan was sitting on 'his bed' while his 'cousin' Shingo was telling him a few things that they could do together during the weekend.

"Maybe we can prank Serena and Rini? Or watch some horror movies when mom and dad are away? What do you think?"

"Um, they sound rather…fun, but let me first unpack then we'll talk," said Dan.

"Oh right – oh man! I need to finish my homework first!" said Shingo before heading out.

Dan waited until he heard the door close and then sighed in relief. He placed his hand over his heart, "Ah man, that was a lot tougher than I thought it was going to be," he took out Drago, placing him on a desk next to his bed, "I wonder how Runo, Julie and Marucho are fairing? Shun and Alice are the lucky ones since they don't have to pretend."

"True. I just hope that the others will keep their mouths shut. None of these humans know about the bakugan species," said Drago.

"Good point. Come on, let's go ask Serena when we're going to meet with the others," said Dan.

Drago jumped on Dan's hands before being placed in Dan's jacket pocket. The brunette walked out of the attic and headed to Serena's which wasn't hard to find since there was a sign with Serena's name on it.

Dan knocked, "Hey Serena, can I come in?"

"Hold on! Give me a second!" said Serena before opening the door. "Come on – Rini, would you stop playing with my kimono like that!"

Dan looked to see that Rini was wearing an adult red kimono. He titled his head, "Why is she wearing a kimono, Serena?"

Serena sighed, "She wants to impress that Tea Master so she thought wearing a kimono and acting all gracefully, Tamasaburo will become her friend."

Dan frowned, "That's not how it works, Rini."

"Oh please, let me just try," begged Rini.

Dan sighed, "Alright, it's your call, not mine – wait! Are you going now?!"

"That's right," said Rini, carefully walking out of Serena's room.

"Come on, let's follow her," murmured Serena before looking at Dan. "By the way, was there something you needed?"

"Mm – oh right!" said Dan. Serena quickly informed her mother they were leaving for a bit. The moment they left the house, Luna jumped on Dan's shoulder. He asked, "When are we going to meet with the scouts?"

"We usually meet after school at Raye's Shrine or at the downtown arcade," replied Serena as they followed Rini who was walking weirdly. "Why you ask?"

"I have to make sure the other bakugans don't talk here," explained Dan, recalling the young brunette. "None of the people here know about the bakugan species like in my dimension."

Serena nodded, "Let me see if we can meet up later today, alright?"

Dan nodded when Serena noticed how Rini was walking. She frowned, "Rini, make sure you don't get my kimono dirty while trying to impress Tamasaburo."

Rini turned around, "What do you mean? You lean it to me because you don't wear it!"

"I still don't want you to mess it up!" argued Serena.

Dan watched the two girls argue all over again. He sighed, turning to Luna, "Do they always argue like this? They don't act like mother and daughter at all."

Luna sighed, dramatically, "Get use to it. They argue half the time."

Dan made a face before spotting a car in the distance, heading towards their way. He squinted slightly to see the car was going rather…he widened his eyes, "Serena, move!"

Serena slightly turned her head to see a car, quickly grabbing Rini in time and moved out of the way. As the fast car pass them, Serena was able to see who was driving and gasped to see an all too familiar redhead. "It's Eugeal!"

They watched the car drive through the walls of the Tea House.

"Oh no! She got into Tamasaburo's house," said Rini before spotting a hole in the tall grass hedges. She jumped out from Serena's arms and crawled in the small hole, dashing to protect Tamasaburo.

Dan and Luna crawled in the small hole and were about to follow Rini when they heard Serena's cry for help. The brunette turned around to see that Serena was having difficulty getting out from the hole.

"What are you doing lying like that?" snapped Luna.

"I'm stuck," said Serena, trying to wiggle out. "It's too small for me to get through! Help me!"

"It wouldn't be small if you wouldn't eat too many sweets," argued Luna.

Quickly, Dan walked to Serena, grabbed her arms and pulled. It took about three tries to get her out. Serena sighed in relief, "Thanks Dan. Now, let's go!"

Dan nodded before they dashed after Rini as Luna jumped on the brunette's shoulder once again. They made it in time to see Rini, in her scout uniform, trying to protect Tamasaburo's pure heart.

"Serena, transform now," said Luna.

"I know that! Moon Comic Power!" said Serena. Once she transformed, she headed to Rini to help out. That's when Dan realized something, "Wait! How are we supposed to help? Apollonir never told us!"

Drago popped out from the pocket, "I was thinking the same thing."

"Not to worry," said Luna before jumping and magically six cards appeared. The cards landed on the ground, "These cards were sent to me and Artemis not too long ago from Neo-Queen Serenity. This will help you fight with the Sailor Scouts."

Dan picked up the six mysterious cards before spotting a red one with a Pyrus attribute sign. He pocketed the rest, "I guess…this one is mine. Do you know how to activate it, Luna?"

"Mm, I believe it was…"
