Summary: A Darkus bakugan was send to Tokyo rather back to Vestroia with the other bakugan where he meets Mimete and team up to catch pure hearts. Can the Sailor Scouts defeat this new foe or will the Battle Brawlers have to step up to help them out?

I don't own Bakugan or Sailor Moon.

-Tsukino's household-

Rini sighed, looking down at her homework. She placed her pencil on the side and slammed her small hands on the table. "It's not fair! Why did Serena choose today to visit that high school? It's not like she's going to pass the entrance exam anyway."

"Are you sure about that?"

Rini turned around to see Dan coming into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. She placed her hands on her hips, "Everyone knows she's not smart."

Dan chuckled, "Don't judge a book by its cover. That's what my mom says to me," that's when he looked over at the table, "What are you working on?"

"Math homework, but…" Rini gritted her teeth, angrily. She waved her arms, dramatically, "What I'm supposed to do is my training! And that meatball head was supposed to train me, but she's not!"

"Training?" Dan murmured before smiling. He took out Drago from his pocket, "Hey bud, what if Rini comes with us today?"

"Mm, I don't see why not Dan, but that's if she wants to come," said Drago.

"You're going out? I thought you had some homework too," said Rini before making a straight face. "I overheard from that Runo girl that you don't get good grades either."

Dan sighed, "Well…yea, she's right about that, but the assignment is not due until next week and the essay is due until Friday. Marucho was going to double check it for me."

"You think better than Serena," murmured Rini before smiling. She got off from the chair, "I don't mind going, but where are we going?"

"Raye's Shrine," Dan smiled, "Shun's going to train Runo while I'm going to train the others in combat."

Rini's eyes brightened, "You wouldn't mind if you help me train?"

"Not at all Rini," replied Dan before looking over the clock. "We need to get going. The others should be either getting there or are there by now."

Rini grinned before dashing up to Serena's room and quickly grabbed her pink bunny bag. She grabbed a few other assignments before dashing back to the kitchen and packed her math homework.

"You ready?"

Rini turned to see Dan carrying a red and black shoulder backpack. He had dark green goggles over his head, wearing a sleeveless red jacket with black trimmings, a yellow shirt underneath and long dark red pants. The young child would guess that Drago was hidden in one of Dan's pockets. She smiled and grabbed Dan's hand, "Let's go! I've been dying to do some training!"

Dan laughed before spotting Serena's mother coming out from the laundry room. He shouted, "Aunt Ikuko! Rini and I will be going to Raye's to do some homework!"

"Alright Daniel, just be back before dinner," said Ikuko.

"We will!" Dan shouted before getting dragged by Rini. They were out of the house before the brunette had an idea, "Race yea to Raye's Shine!"

"You're on, Dan," said Rini.

The two of them started to run, but after a few blocks, they stopped and continued by walking. They reached to the entrance of the shrine and spotted Julie and Alice at the stairs.

"Danny, you made it!" Julie said, happily. She ran back down and wrapped her arms around the brunette's neck. Julie smiled, "Did you started that English essay?"

Dan sighed, "I'm halfway done, but I want Marucho to look over it before finishing it."

Julie pouted, "Aw man, I still found nothing to write about. I hate school!" She let go of Dan and crossed her arms, "Why did we have to attend anyway?"

"So we don't raise suspicion," stated Alice before smiling. "Besides, it's a nice change for me to attend the same school with you three."

"That's right. You were homeschooled! So, how does it feel to be in a class after quite some time?" Dan said.

Alice laughed, "It's great and it's wonderful to be in the same class with you, Shun and Julie. Hello Rini, did you come to train as well?"

"You bet," said Rini, excitedly.

"Well, let's go before Runo starts shouting at us for being late," said Julie.

Dan and Alice nodded before Julie quickly grabbed Dan's hand again. The brunette made an annoyed face while Julie dragged him up the stairs. Alice shook her head while Rini giggled.

The four of them reached to the top and headed over to the back of the shrine. There, they spotted Runo on the ground while Shun was standing nearby and Marucho was sitting on the porch.

"You're not focusing – again Runo," said Shun, seriously. "You need to trust in Tigrerra. Don't be self-centered!"

"I heard you the first time, Shun! You don't have to repeat it to me!" Runo snapped as she got up from the ground. She placed her hands on her hips, "Who do you think I am? Dan?"

"Did…Did she call me stupid?" Dan murmured, slightly annoyed. The brunette was about to snap at Runo when Julie marched over to her, angrily.

"Back off, Runo! At least Dan is sweet and kind – while you're nasty and rude!"

Runo leaned to Julie's face, "I dare you to say that again!"

Dan sighed before feeling a tug from his hand. He looked down to see Rini holding his hand. "What is it?"

"Do they always fight like that?" Rini asked.

"Most of the time, they do, because they want my attention," replied Dan.

"And Alice?" said Rini. She watched the ginger hair teen trying to calm Runo down while Marucho was trying to calm Julie down.

Dan smirked, leaning down to Rini's ear, "Someone already claimed Alice's heart. You see, she has a huge crush on Mr. Hot Shot over there, the same goes with him, but…they're afraid to admit their feelings to each other."

Rini giggled before picking up her Luna-P ball and the two of them walked over to Shun.

"So, how's the training so far?" Dan asked, slightly serious.

Shun closed his eyes, "She's getting there, but the main problem is that she wouldn't listen to Tigrerra. You know how stubborn and hot-headed she can be sometimes."

"I see," said Dan, handing his shoulder backpack to his best friend. "Why not take a break? I know you have this project due in two days. I'll start training the others. How does that sound to you?"

"Sounds good to me," replied Shun, grabbing the backpack and looked over at the bluenette, "Break time Runo." He walked to the porch and placed Dan's backpack next to his before taking out his notebook and textbook.

Runo sighed in relief, walked over to the porch then lied her back on the wooden floor. Alice and Julie sat on the steps while Marucho walked over to Dan.

"You mention that you want me to look at your English essay last night?"

Dan nodded, "I did. It's in my backpack. Thanks a bunch pal, you're a lifesaver!"

"What are friends are for," said Marucho before walking back to the porch. He opened the brunette's backpack to find the essay.

"Right…Julie, you're up first so come over here so we can get started," said Dan.

"Oh yay!" Julie said, happily before dashing over to Dan's side. She took out her transformation card, "Ready when you are, Dan-sensei!"

Dan was about to take out his card when Rini walked over to him. She nervously played her fingers, "Um…can-can I join in?"

"Sure, let's go you two," said Dan as he took out his card.

"Ability card, power of Subterra/Pyrus bakugan – transform!"

"Oh right – Moon Prism power make-up!"

"Oh, I just can't stop thinking how cute I am with these clothes!" Julie said, happily before giving Rini a death hug. "And I adore your outfit, Rini!" She then winked at the brunette, "Dan, you look quite handsome yourself."

Rini blushed bright red while Dan had a slight pink cheeks. The brunette coughs, "Right, let's see what you can do. Show me what you've got."

"Okay Danny-sensei," said Julie with a wink. "Gorem, you ready?"

"Let's show them what we can do."

"Right," said Julie, summoning Gorem's hammer out of the small diamond crystal. "Go Taros Hammer!" She shouted and threw it to Dan and Rini.

Dan was able to dodge easily while Rini barely escape from getting hit. The young scout face planted on the ground while Dan landed on his feet with ease.

"Ow, that hurt," murmured Rini, rubbing her nose.

Dan thought for a moment before getting an idea. "Julie, keep throwing those hammers!"

"Wait what?! Are you like for real?" Julie said in disbelief.

Dan nodded while he helped Rini to get up. He bends down to her level, "Let's work on your speed while Julie will work on her accuracy."

"Oh, I get it!" Julie said while Rini had a grim face, dropping her head down.

"Aw come on Rini, don't be like that. You came here to train and that's what you're going to do," said Dan, supportively.

Rini sighed before shaking her head and made a brave face. "O-Ok, let's go."

"That's the spirit," said Dan then looked over at Julie. "Julie, don't just throw the hammer. Try to focus your strength onto the handle and don't hesitate using your full power either!"

"You sure, Dan?" Julie asked, nervously and the brunette nodded. She took a deep breath before summoning another hammer. "Alright you two, get ready? Go Taros Hammer!"

Several hammer throws later; Julie was able to aim properly with a faster pace. Rini, however, kept face planting or missing to dodge, but it didn't take long for her to successfully land on her feet with quick speed.

Dan was impressed with their progress. The brunette had to use one of his abilities to block one of Julie's hammers.

"That was great guys, break time," said Dan.

Julie sighed, dropping her knees on the ground. "Oh thank god! I'm totally exhausted!"

Dan laughed before looking over at Rini, "You did great Rini! See, told yea you can do it."

"Thanks Dan," said Rini, tiredly before transforming back and walked over to the porch where the others were sitting at.

Marucho just finished fixing Dan's essay and started with his while Alice was working on her French assignment. Runo's homework was different since she goes to a different school.

"It's still unbelievable that Dan is actually ahead on his homework," murmured Runo, angrily. She gritted her teeth, "HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!"

Dan pouted, "Hey, I'm not dumb as you think I am, Runo. I have my moments."

"I wasn't born yesterday, Dan," argued Runo, sticking out her tongue.

"Oh real mature Runo," murmured Shun.

Dan sighed before looking over at Marucho, "Ready to go, buddy?"

"I'm ready when you are Dan," replied Marucho. He put down his homework and took out his transformation card, "Ability card, power of Aquos bakugan – transform!"

"Alright now, let's see…hey Shun, any ideas?" Dan asked.

Shun thought for a moment, "Well, Marucho needs to build up his stamina and endurance."

Dan nodded, "Right! Marucho, only use your shields abilities. I'll be attacking you from all angles and you need to block them, got it?"

Marucho gulped a bit before nodding, "Got it."

"No need to worry, little buddy! We've got this!" encouraged Preyas.

Dan laughed a bit before having a serious look on his face. "Burning Dragon!"

Multiple fire attacks later, Marucho was able to block and even sense upcoming attacks. Shun had Skyress join in, but the young blond brawler had a few close calls.

"Alright Marucho, that's it for now," said Dan.

Marucho collapsed on the ground and lied on his back. He let out a huge sigh in relief, "That was exhausting…it's no wonder you two train so much back home."

Preyas came out from the crystal and rolled over to Marucho's head. He sighed, tiredly, "You can say that again, little buddy. H-Hey Drago, do you like…get tired at all?"

Drago came out from the crystal and jumped on Dan's shoulder. He chuckled a bit, "No, not at all Preyas. Before meeting Daniel, I was training on my own."

"I see," murmured Preyas.

Dan ran to his tired friend and helped him up. He rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry about that buddy. Are you alright?"

Marucho took a few deep breathes before smiling, "No need to worry, Dan. We need to learn on how to fight so we can help the Sailor Scouts. We have no idea when we will run into that mysterious bakugan."

Dan nodded before looking over at Alice, "Your turn."

Alice placed her notebook on the porch and walked over to Dan. She smiled, softly, "You know, I agree with Marucho, but…we haven't seen that missing bakugan at all, only heart snatchers. That worries me."

Dan frowned, thinking the same thing. Where is that missing bakugan?

Shun sighed, "I was wondering about that as well. We've been here for awhile now and so far, we haven't seen or spotted that mysterious bakugan yet."

Rini stopped writing and could feel the tension forming.

"Oh man, this sucks!" Julie shouted, dramatically. "We could be here for who knows how long! Not that I don't like staying with Mina. She's like another sister, but with style."

"I know Julie, but what can we do," said Dan, slightly sad, thinking about his parents. He sighed, "For now, we need to learn on how to control our new powers and find that bakugan. It's clear that he or she is out of control for power or something and is avoiding us."

Shun nodded, looking serious, "Dan's right. Who knows who's our true enemy, but we need to be ready to fight whoever it is; the leader of the heart snatchers or that mysterious bakugan?"

"…since when did Dan's brain start working," murmured Runo.

Dan was about to snap when Rini stopped him.

"That wasn't very nice to say," said Rini then looked over at Dan. "You sure she's your friend, Dan? She's been quite mean to you since you came here."

Dan waved his hand, "Na, that's how she is. Like Raye and Serena, we don't really mean it when we fight or yell at each other…sometimes."

"Sometimes?" Rini said. That's when she saw Julie glaring at Runo.

"Hey, are you being rude to Dan again?!" snapped Julie.

"No, I just want to know how Dan is becoming so smart all of a sudden!" yelled Runo.

"Oh! I see," said Rini while Dan laughed a bit.

"You know," said Shun, looking over at Rini, "I'm curious of what kind of future you live in. What is it like if you don't mind me asking?"

Rini grinned, happily and began telling her life at Tokyo Palace, while her Luna-P ball rolled over to where the bakugans were at. Luna-P's eyes started to blink and was making a few noises.

Preyas floated near the strange object, "What's this thing? Is it supposed to be a cat or something?"

"I don't think so Preyas since cat's eyes don't blink like that," replied Drago.

"It is a strange thing," stated Tigrerra as Hydra agreed.

Preyas was flying around Luna-P before landing on top of it.

Skyress sighed, "It's not wise for you to be sitting on that…thing. Get down before you hurt yourself."

"Aw come on, Sky. It's not like it's going to attack me or something," said Preyas.

While the bakugans were being entertained by the cat like ball, Rini just finished telling the brawlers the first time she came from the future and the adventures she had with the Sailor Scouts.

"Must been a real shocker to find out that your idol, Sailor Moon was your mother during her teenage years," said Dan with a grin.

Rini made a face, "Not…really," she sighed, "But she's such a crybaby and has poor grades! I still can't believe she's my mother in the future!"

"No one's perfect Rini," Marucho adjusted his glasses, "The mistakes that a person makes, we learn from them and we try to redeem those mistakes. That's what makes us human."

"That's right" said Dan. "If you accept the downfalls from your friends, then you truly understand them, resulting a strong bond – like me with my friends and Drago."

Rini recalled the times Serena made few mistakes before replacing them in moments when she acted like the beauty mother in the 21st century. Her frown turned to a smile, "I guess…she's really not that bad after all."

Dan smiled before addressing to Alice and started training her. Shun suggested to start her with using the shadows to sense his presence while the others went back on finishing up their assignments.

After half an hour, Alice was able to sense Dan's attribute energy much better and could use the shadows as a weapon.

"Finish up what you have. We're having one more brawl," said Shun, looking at Runo then put away his notebook and history book.

"Wait! I'm not done yet!" said Runo, frantically.

"You could've finished if you haven't been spacing out," said Shun, slightly annoyed.

Runo pouted a bit before marking her book and put away her homework. As she got up, Rini walked over to Dan and tugged his jacket.

The brunette looked down, "Yea, Rini?"

Rini bite her lip, "C-Can you…Do you think you guys can teach me how to brawl?"

"If you like – Oh! I got it!" said Dan as he got an idea. He looked over to his best friend, "Hey Shun! Why not let Rini brawl Runo?"

Julie, Runo and Alice widen their eyes while Marucho had his mouth open.

Shun thought for a moment before nodding, "Not a bad idea," he then looked over at Runo, "Give us a few minutes to teach Rini the basics."

"Seriously? But she doesn't have a Bakupod!" Runo argued.

"Bakupod?" Rini asked.

Dan showed his red Bakupod to Rini, "She means this. It shows the G-Power level of a bakugan and how many wins you have in a brawl. You can borrow mine if you want."

Rini looked at the strange device before getting an idea. She shook her head, "You don't need to Dan. I have a better idea – Luna-P!"

The cat-ball's eyes flashed a few times before it floated and headed towards Rini. The movement caused to startle Drago and the others minus Preyas. The Aquos bakugan screamed and fell onto the ground from the sudden movement since he was sitting on top of the strange ball.

Rini caught her Luna-P before pouncing it. "Transform into a Bakupod!" she said, tossing the ball into the air. The cat-ball magically transforms into a pink version of Dan's bakupod.

"Cool," said Dan in awe.

Marucho nodded, "I'll say. Is that some sort of high-tech device or does it require some kind of magic in order to transform?"

"I'm not really sure, but I think it was made out of magic," Rini then smiled, "It was giving to me by a special friend when I was really little."

'At least she has one friend,' thought Dan.

Julie's eyes sparkle, "Oh how would I kill to get one of those cutie cat-balls!"

"Easy there Julie," said Dan, playfully then looked at Rini, "So, who do you want to use in the brawl?"

Rini tapped her chin, "May I use…Drago?"

"Sure," replied Dan. He walked to where the bakugans were at and picked up his partner, "Sorry guys, but I need Drago for a moment."

"No problem Daniel," said Skyress before the bakugans went back to their partners.

Runo snorted, "Well, this is going to be a breeze. She's just a beginner."

Shun glared at her, "You shouldn't underestimate someone just because they're a beginner. So, don't get cocky and let your guard down," his glare turned to a serious look, "If you want to transform like us, then you have to reconnect with Tigrerra – fast!"

Runo step back before looking down at the ground with slight guilt.

"Shun has a point," Marucho sighed, "We must be prepared to fight whoever is controlling those heart snatchers and find that missing bakugan."

"I know! I know!" snapped Runo before sighing, sadly. "I really want to help. I want to save our home, New Vestroia, the scout's dimension – all of the dimensions!"

"Then, you better start listening to Tigrerra if not, you'll never be able to reconnect with her and transform," stated Shun, seriously before walking over to Dan and Rini.

Runo sighed, 'Easy for you to say…how can I reconnect with Tigrerra? We were so close back then, but now…my mind has been so clouded ever since what happen with Naga. I…I was scared losing Tigrerra to the doom dimension…'

"Runo?"

"Tigrerra?" said Runo, softly.

"Forget about your doubts," said Tigrerra. "I understood why you stopped brawling and I thank you for protecting me my lady, but you don't have to. Naga has been defeated; there's nothing to fear any longer."

Runo smiled, holding onto her partner, "Thanks Tigrerra. You're the best, you know that right?"

"Thank you, my lady. Now, let's show them what we can do – together!" said Tigrerra with determination.

Runo grinned, "Right! I'm ready!"

Dan nodded as Runo position herself at one end while Rini was at the other with Dan by her side. The brunette grinned, "Alright! Let the brawl begin!"

"Field open! Gate card set!" shouted Runo and Rini as the area around them froze in place.

"Bakugan brawl, Tigrerra/Drago stand!"

Runo: 0/3 and Rini: 0/3
Drago: 400G
Tigrerra: 500G

"Let's do this Tigrerra. Ability card activate, Lightning Tornado!" said Runo.

Drago: 400G - 100 = 300G
Tigrerra: 500G + 100 = 600G

Rini covered her eyes as the sudden wind surprised her. That's when she felt Dan holding onto her shoulders.

"You alright?" Dan asked. Rini nodded in disbelief before hearing Runo shouting at them.

"Hey, what gives? No pointers!"

"He's not giving me pointers," said Rini. "He was making sure that I wouldn't go flying from those blasted winds!" Before taking out an ability card, "Ability card activate, Tornado Barrier!"

Drago: 300G to 400G
Tigrerra: 600G to 500G – 100 = 400G

"Damn it," murmured Runo.

Rini placed her hands on her hips, "I may be a beginner, but don't underestimate me! Ability card activate, Strike Dragon!"

Drago: 400G + 400 = 800G
Tigrerra: 400G – 400 = 0G

"What?! No way!" said Runo in shock. She shook it off before countering it, "Ability card activate, Hyper Velocity Fang! Take him out Tigrerra!"

Drago: 800G to 400G – 300 = 100G
Tigrerra: 0G to 400G

Rini looked over at the cards before seeing one that might help. She took it out, "Ability card activate, Maximum Dragon! Go Drago, finish this round!"

Drago: 100G + 400 = 500G
Tigrerra: 400G – 400 = 0G

"With pleasure," said Drago as he was about to fire.

Runo started to panic and wasn't hearing that Tigrerra was calling out to her. "A-Ability card activate, M-Metal Fang!" said the bluenette, quickly.

"Runo, that's not enough to beat Drago!" shouted Marucho.

Drago: 500G
Tigrerra: 0G + 400 = 400G
Rini: 1/3 and Runo: 0/3

"Damn it!" shouted Runo, stomping the ground angrily. She pointed at Rini, "That was dumb luck! I'll beat you in the next round!"

Dan frowned, looking to Shun, "Now I know what you mean, man. Runo! You really need to stay calm and focus!"

"Stay out of this Kuso!" snapped Runo. As she was going to continue arguing, Tigrerra appeared right in front of her face.

"Runo, Daniel is right. If you would've stayed focus, you could've won the first round if you remembered the gate card you set."

"I – I…Why didn't you tell me?" Runo asked in disbelief.

"I was, but once again you were not listening to me," replied Tigrerra, disappointedly.

"O-Oh…I'm sorry Tigrerra," said Runo, sadly. She took a deep breath before exhaling, "Alright, let's go!"

Rini nodded and both threw the bakugan once again.

"Bakugan brawl, Tigrerra/Drago stand!"

Drago: 400G
Tigrerra: 500G

"Ability card activate, Burning Dragon!" said Rini.

Drago: 400G + 200 = 600G
Tigrerra: 500G – 200 = 300G

"Oh no, you don't! Ability card activate, Saber Glower!" said Runo just before the fire got close to her partner. Tigrerra was able to slash the fireball and dashed to Drago.

Rini yelped upon seeing Tigrerra's speed and didn't have enough time to counter.

Drago: 600G – 400 = 200G
Tigrerra: 300G + 400 = 700G
Rini: 1/3 and Runo: 1/3

Drago rolled over to her before she picked him up, "Tigrerra can be fast and scary when she wants to be. Are you okay, Drago?"

"No need to worry about me, Rini. I'm fine," replied Drago. "Shall we?"

Rini nodded before the two girls throw the bakugans on Runo's unused gate card.

"Bakugan brawl, Tigrerra/Drago stand!"
