Summary: A Darkus bakugan was send to Tokyo rather back to Vestroia with the other bakugan where he meets Mimete and team up to catch pure hearts. Can the Sailor Scouts defeat this new foe or will the Battle Brawlers have to step up to help them out?

"Remind me again why we chose French for our language class?" Dan asked, staring at his homework. He looked over at Marucho, "It's not like I'm ever going to use it."

"It wasn't the matter of choosing, rather, it was the only elective that wasn't full," replied Marucho. "We did attend the school pretty late, so we were placed in the only class that had enough room for us."

"At least you're not in French 2 like us," stated Serena, rubbing her ear after Mina shouted at her. "Did you really had to shout so loud Mina? My ear hurts."

"Sorry, but if I didn't, you would've slept the whole study session," said Mina.

"That's right Serena so wakey, wakey!" said Lita.

Darien sighed, "I understand why Dan and his friends are here since Shun told me, but you girls? I mean you all said you needed my help…but I get this strange feeling that you came over for the air-conditioning."

"I second that," said Shun, continuing reading his textbook.

"I third that," said Dan and the others nodded.

"Oh no, we also like your herbal tea as well," said Raye before realizing what she said. "Um, I…ah…"

"Oh thanks, that makes me feel a lot better," murmured Darien and everyone laughed.

"Amy, what are you doing?" Mina asked.

"Find anything interesting?" Darien asked.

"Oh, why yes. Look at these wonderful diverse books," replied Amy as she listed a few she saw that were quite advance. "Marucho, come and have a look."

"Why do you have so many books, Darien?" Dan asked as his blond friend walked over to Amy. "Is there a reason why you have so much?"

"Well, you see, I always had many interest in things and because of that, I couldn't decide which subject to study," replied Darien.

"Hey, you're like that saying, 'Jerk of all trades, master of nothing', right?" Lita said as she leaned over to Darien.

"I never heard that saying before," murmured Dan and his friends nodded.

"Actually, Lita it supposed to say, 'Jack of all trades', not jerk," said Darien.

Lita made a shock face before apologizing.

"Alright, let's continue," said Darien, grabbing a textbook. "English Literature first before moving on to French. By the way, Shun if you guys need any help please feel free to ask."

"Of course, but we have it covered," said Shun before poking at Dan's face with his pencil. "Come on Dan, don't go fallen asleep on us now."

Dan yawned, "Sorry guys, Drago and I woke up a bit early today for our morning jog and some training before coming here."

"How early did you wake up Dan?" Raye asked.

"Um like…five…I think," replied Dan before slapping himself awake. "Alright, I think…I might take a break on French and work on my math."

"Oh! Let's work on it together Dan," said Julie, happily as she moved over to the brunette. She pointed at a problem, "Have you done this one yet? I'm a bit stuck."

Runo glared, "Julie, he needs to work on his own! Not have someone bothering him!"

Julie stuck out her tongue, "Not true! Someone told me that helping each other is a good thing as it helps the couple out – so can it girl! Besides, Danny is mine, you hear!"

"Yours?!" shouted Runo, angrily before going after Julie.

Dan widened his eyes before getting out of the way as the others watched Runo and Julie bickering again. Dan and Shun sigh while Marucho and Alice shook their heads.

"Um, are you going to stop them?" Lita asked.

"This always happens," replied Marucho, waving his hand. "They'll stop soon so don't worry. Now, French?"

Serena made a grim face, "But…I'm horrible in French."

"And that's why I suggested that we study it," said Darien when they heard the door ring.

"Oh! There's the door! I'll get it," said Serena, quickly getting up from the table and answered the door. There stood was an elderly man carrying a cane, wearing a suit with a cravat, teal hair with blue eyes and a mustache.

"Um, he already has a subscription to the paper if that's what you want," said Serena.

"Mm, ah! Bonjour mademoiselle," greeted the elder.

Serena blinked a bit before waving her hands, "Um, I don't speaky French. Just me, not French."

The elder looked confused before understanding what's wrong. "Ah, I get it. You don't speak the French language. Can you please tell me if Darien is home right now?"

"Um yes, Darien is home. Can I ask who you are, monsieur?" said Serena before widening her eyes. "Oh! So, you do speak English! You surprised me!"

"Édouard," said Darien as he and the others came to the door.

"Bonjour Darien. It's been a long time since I've seen you," greeted Édouard before noticing the others. "Ah, bonjour mademoiselle and monsieur."

"Enchanté," greeted Mina.

"Bonjour," greeted Raye.

"Enchanté, to make your acquaintance monsieur," greeted Amy, properly.

"Merci," said Lita as the others dropped their heads down.

"That's not a greeting Lita, that means thank you," whispered Raye.

"Well, at least I was polite," said Lita, honestly.

"Comment allez-vous?" said Marucho and Alice.

"Hello monsieur," said Shun and Dan.

"Bonjour monsieur!" said Julie, happily. "Oh, I've always wanted to say that!"

"Bonjour," said Runo.

"Would you like to come in Édouard?" asked Darien.

"I love to, but I can't," replied Édouard. "Actually, I'm hosting a dinner party back at my house, tonight for some of the students and faculty. They suggested that I invite you."

"I'm honored by the invite," said Darien.

"Well, I was in the middle of my daily walk so I better be on my way. I hope you can attend Darien and of course you young lads are invited as well," said Édouard.

The girls agreed quickly minus Alice, who just smiled while the boys nodded.

After Édouard left, Darien explained to everyone who he was. The elder man was a retired rich businessman from France who lives at the Rose Mansion. He showed them a picture of the mansion.

"Oh, so he's the one that lives there," said Serena. "Wow, what an amazing place to have a party. What do you think Dan?"

"I guess so," said Dan, looking at the picture. "It sure is big enough to hold quite a few people here and there, right Marucho?"

Marucho nodded, "You're right, Dan."

"Now, he teaches Economics and have these parties for his best students," said Darien. "He's interested to mix people from different countries."

"Oh, that's so kind of him," said Alice.

"I'll say. I never meet a 'nice' rich man that helps other people," said Runo.

"I so want to be his student now!" said Julie, excitedly.

"Wow, just imagine that big house full with music and the ballroom," said Raye as she daydreams about the mansion.

"And it's a wonderful chance to have cultural exchanges with people all over the world," said Amy. "What do you think, Marucho?"

"I agree. It's almost like the game that Dan and Shun created with the bakugan back home," replied Marucho. "You get to meet people from all over the world, but online and could chat with them."

"Really? That's cool," said Mina and Lita nodded.

"I'm into the romance being with you Darien in a beautiful mansion," said Serena, happily as she raised up her hand. "I feel just like a princess."

"Um…I thought you're already one Serena," murmured Runo.

Serena laughed, sheepishly, "Well, not in this timeline."

"By the way, do you happen to know where the students are from Darien?" Amy asked.

"Sure do. These group are coming from France actually," replied Darien as the girls gasped. "These year there's a bunch of French students coming so we better practice more on our French."

"Well, that's oddly coincidence," murmured Dan and his friends agreed.

"Don't worry Dan, you'll be just fine," said Marucho. "Runo, you really need to practice and don't forget Julie, be careful on pronouncing your words properly."

"Right, on it!" said Julie while Runo nodded, slowly.

"I'll help Julie and Runo while you help out Dan and Shun, Marucho," said Alice.

"Perfect!" said Marucho.

"Well, looks like they have things plan out," said Darien then took out a French book. "Shall we get started?"

That's when he noticed Serena wasn't paying any attention as she was having trouble of having a romantic evening with him then looked grim that she must speak French.

"Serena, can we get to work here?" Darien asked but knowing her, she's already lost in her mind. Raye and the scouts sigh in defeat before calling quits.

The scouts waited for the brawlers to finish their study session then went back home and started getting ready for the party.

Serena apologized to Rini as she couldn't come because she was too young to attend. The small scout was sad but understood. Before leaving, Dan promised to the young child that he'll try to bring food from the place just for her. Rini's eyes sparkle in joy before hugging the brunette and thanked him.

The gang arrived at the Rose Mansion and inside was filled with students from different regions. Some were dancing while others were talking among themselves.

"Ah, look at these gorgeous guys," said Mina, dreamily.

"Alright, they're all tall," said Lita, happily.

"I don't care any of that. As I'll be dancing with Dan," said Julie, grabbing Dan's arm. "Come on Danny! Let's go dancing!"

"Hey, who said that you get to dance with Dan first?!" snapped Runo before grabbing Dan's other arm.

"Not again," murmured the brunette as he was being tagged back and forth.

"Alice," said Shun and the Darkus brawler nodded. The scouts looked at them with a sweatdrop before looking back at the people dancing.

Serena looked nervous, "Just great, most of them are speaking in French."

"Well, you know what they always say about France, Serena, it's supposed to be the language of love," said Raye, trying to calm her down.

"Only if you can speak it," argued Serena.

"Come on Serena, it's a good opportunity for you to try it out so give it a shot," said Amy, smiling. "Even Dan and his friends are going to try to speak in French."

"That's different and this isn't a good opportunity Amy," whined Serena, dramatically just as Shun and Alice were able to get Runo and Julie away from Dan.

Marucho and Shun stood side by side by the brunette just in case.

Suddenly Drago pop out of Dan's pocket and looked around. "So…this is what a fancy human party looks like. Marucho never made his parties like this."

"No, but I'm glad that he doesn't, or I would of feel out of place," said Dan before making a face. "Like now – hey wait! You supposed to be hiding."

"Sorry Daniel, but…I just got curious what's going on," said Drago.

"Then, why didn't you let Mina disguise you like the others," said Dan.

"And look ridiculous like them," Drago shook his head, "Sorry Daniel, I rather not embarrass myself to that level."

"Ah come on, Preyas looks great as a necktie gem," said Dan. "Tigrerra, Skyress and Gorem look great as necklaces…well, Skyress is more of a clasp. And Hydra isn't complaining about being a ring."

"You're just messing with me, aren't you?" Drago sighed, "Alright, let me know if something happens. I'm going to sleep."

"Sure, pal," said Dan just as someone was calling out to Darien.

"Bonsoir Darien!"

"Bonsoir Vincent!" greeted Darien.

"Long time no see. How's it going man?" asked Vincent. He and a few students walked towards them including Édouard.

Serena looked panic when they were coming their way. She prayed that they don't speak in French.

"Bonsoir mademoiselle."

"Darien, you're quite a popular fellow this evening," said Vincent. "How about introducing these lovely ladies and young gentlemen to us?"

"Hey, you guys are talking in English," said Dan.

"That's right. We're studying the language so we're practicing it right now."

"Not bad. I can understand you quite clearly," said Shun and the others nodded.

"Why thank you, young man," said Vincent.

"Hey, you're lucky Serena – mm, where did she go?" said Raye, noticing that Serena wasn't with them.

"Strange…she was here a minute ago. Mm, I'll go and find her," said Dan.

"Check if she's in the ladies' room," said Lita, winking. "Make sure you knock!"

"I know that!" said Dan before getting directions to the bathroom. The brunette was about to turn the corner when he spotted Serena behind a curtain, holding a small blue book.

Dan walked over to her and could hear her try talking in French, but was failing. The brunette sighed before seeing Serena taking a glass with pink liquid.

"W-Wait Serena! That's not…juice," said Dan as Serena stopped and looked at Dan with a silly grin on her face. The brunette stepped back, "Oh boy…"

"Bonjour Danny! Here, why don't you have a drink? You need some," said Serena, happily as she shoved the rest of the pink liquid to Dan. "Oh look, its Darien! Oh Darien!"

Serena ran off leaving Dan coughing before feeling a bit dizzy.

That's when Drago came out to see what was going on. He looked around before seeing Dan leaning to the wall and his face had a crimson color.

"Daniel, are you alright? Are you – Dan! Watch where you're going!" said Drago before falling in the pink liquid.

Meanwhile, Darien was talking to some students about science while Amy and Marucho were talking to Édouard.

"I think all of your guest are so smart and interesting. They must be all honor students," said Amy.

"Yes, they're all promising young people and our hope for the future," said Édouard. "That's way I enjoy having these parties in my home every so often. To see young people enjoy themselves with stimulation conversation and a waltz or two is my idea of a rosey evening."

Amy smiled, "It sounds wonderful. I agree, an evening of intellect and culture is indeed rosey. What do you think Marucho?"

"Mm," Marucho adjusted his glasses, "Learning new info is quite useful as you have no idea when you're going to need it in the near future."

"Well, I hope that both of you will join them someday to make a bright future," said Édouard.

"Oh yes, I'll try," replied Amy, politely while Marucho nodded.

"Look at them," said Lita, watching her friends chat calmly with Édouard.

"I know," said Raye, sighing. "I don't know how Amy does it, she's so confident. Is Marucho the same way as well?"

"In a way, but he's like that cause the lessons from his mother," said Shun. "Marucho created the stuff that we needed in our battle with Naga."

"Well, let's just say it's easy for them to be confident cause they're geniuses," said Mina. That's when Serena walked pass by them, but was walking rather wobbly. She went over to Darien, who was with two French students.

"Hey, what's wrong with Serena? She's all wobbly guys," Julie pointed out before looking around. "Hey, wasn't Dan supposed to be looking for her?"

"Yea, you're right," said Runo. "Where is Dan?"

They looked around before Alice spotted the brunette leaning to a wall and had his hand on the right side of his head.

"Dan!" Alice ran over to him, "Are you alright? You don't look so good. Are you ill?"

The others walked over to them when Shun noticed that Dan had a bit crimson on his face and couldn't stay still. The raven teen grabbed hold onto Dan as Marucho ran up to him.

"Guys, Serena is drunk," informed the Aquos brawler before noticing Dan. "Hey, what's wrong with Dan? He kind of looks like how Serena does."

"So, wait…don't tell me that Dan is – drunk?!" said Runo, gritting her teeth. "Idiot! Was he not paying attention on what he was drinking?!"

Dan smiled with a goofy look, "Hehe, who's the loudmouth?"

"L-Loudmouth?!" snapped Runo before grabbing hold onto Dan's shirt. "Who you calling a loudmouth?!"

"Runo, carefully. Dan isn't himself right now," said Alice before taking out Drago from his hidden spot. That's when she felt the pocket was a bit wet.

'Strange,' thought Alice as she took out the Pyrus bakugan. "Drago, did you by any chance see how Dan got drunk?"

"Hehe, blondie gave some to Danny-boy before me got some too," replied Drago, strangely.

Shun slapped his forehead, "Not again…Drago is also drunk."

"Come on, let's take Dan outside," said Marucho as he pointed to the balcony. "I'll get some water for Dan just make sure he gets some fresh air."

Shun nodded before guiding the brunette outside and saw Serena leaning over to the balcony railing while Amy was trying to get her to drink some water.

Lita turned around before noticing Dan, "Wait, don't tell me that he too is drunk?"

Shun sighed, "Likely. I have this feeling that Serena gave some to Dan while she was drunk already."

"Figures," murmured Raye.

While Serena, Dan and Drago were recovering from their drunken state, Amara and Michelle were playing inside, but just outside, someone was just entering the party as well.

It took about a few minutes for Serena, Dan and Drago to return back to their normal selves and went back to the party.

"How are you two feeling?" asked Lita.

"Alright," murmured Serena and Dan.

"Hey, um, I didn't say nothing…um weird, did I?" asked Dan.

"Now that you mention it – ouch! Hey, what was that for Julie?!" said Runo, rubbing her head.

"Oh nothing – oh! Hey, is that Amara and Michelle? Hey guys!" said Julie.

"Hey gang," greeted Amara.

"Hello," said Michelle.

"Amara! Michelle! Hello," said the others.

"Wonderful party, is it not?" said Michelle just as they were starting to play a different music. "Oh! They're playing the waltz. Darien, please honor me with a dance?"

"N-No, he's dancing with me," said Serena.

"Come on, how about I give you a lesson and then you can have Darien?" offered Amara.

Serena blushed a bit before smiling, "I do need one."

The scouts sigh, dramatically as Amara took Serena to the dance floor while Darien went with Michelle. Julie and Runo brighten up and were about to get Dan when they noticed he wasn't with them.

"Hey, where's Dan? He's supposed to be waltzing with me," said Julie, pouting.

"You? No way! He's dancing with me as an apology of what he said when he was drunk!" snapped Runo.

While the two were bickering again, they failed to notice something.

"Should…we tell them that Alice is teaching Dan to waltz," said Marucho as he glanced over to his left to see the two dancing.

Shun shook his head, "Na, let them be. Besides, it was the only reason for Dan to not dance with Runo or Julie first "

Marucho laughed, "It would have been a disaster if he did. He would've ended up stepping on their feet…looks like Dan is learning pretty fast. Look at them!"

Shun looked over to see Alice and Dan waltzing gracefully just like Serena to Amara and Darien to Michelle. He blinked his eyes, "Well, what you know. Dan can waltz…who know?"

Marucho and Pyres sigh, "Not us."

-Break Line-

Mm who feel sorry for Dan now? At least Alice taught him to waltz before going to dance with the other two. The same with Serena and Amara…Lita and the others are feeling left out, that sucks.

Oh what's this? A party crasher? Who is it? Mm…
