Summary: A Darkus bakugan was send to Tokyo rather back to Vestroia with the other bakugan where he meets Mimete and team up to catch pure hearts. Can the Sailor Scouts defeat this new foe or will the Battle Brawlers have to step up to help them out?

"So…what is this place?" wondered Robo.
"It's called a library," replied Amy. "It's a place where you can read so many books and historical novels. I come here most of my free time to study."
"I see what about you Master Marucho?" asked Robo.
Marucho blushed, "Call me by my first name, Robo and I sometimes use the library as well but most of the time I would be researching in the computer."
"That's right newbie," said Preyas. He jumps over to Amy's shoulder, "By the looks of it, you need some training as well, buddy."
"I do," said Robo.
"Well, let me get some books to check out before we meet with the others," said Amy. She smiles, "If you spot anything interesting Robo, please let me know so I can check it out for you."
"Oh! Marucho, buddy, let's go to those funny books section," said Preyas, excitedly. "I want to show my little…apprentice a thing or two about comedy in the human world."
"Alright, but lower your voice Preyas," whispered Marucho as he shush him. "We are in a library and that means we can't talk so loud."
"Oh…right," said Preyas.
Amy giggled before the two water guardians headed over to the medical section of the library while their bakugan were hiding in their pockets.
In Raye's place, Runo and Raye were leg crossing in front of a tall fire while their bakugan were right by them.
"This feels…quite nice," said Griff, happily. "And this human thing…is called Fire reading?"
"Yes," replied Raye. "You see I can sense events that is about to come. Almost like a foreshadowing so to speak and Fire reading helps me over see it some more."
"Ah I see," said Griff.
Runo sighed, dramatically, "Can we take a break? My legs are about to collapse."
Raye glared, "What you need to do is to relax! If I remember correctly, in the past, you were the most patient and calmest girl I have ever met."
Runo pouted, "That was in the past, this is the present."
"Now Runo, stop this at once and try to relax," scolded Tigrerra. She sighs, "Even I remember that you were calm in the past."
Runo made a face, "Alright! Alright! I'll do it! I'll do it!"
"Can everyone learn this…Fire reading?" asked Griff.
"They can but the ones those that have special powers of visions can master Fire readings perfectly," explained Raye.
"Visions?" said Runo before gasping. "Wait a moment! I recall Dan got these strange feelings before one of Naga's creeps came after us!"
"No surprise there," murmured Raye. "The fire element does give out strange and mysterious powers that anyone uses it."
"You can say that again," said Griff. He turned around, "So how do you read the fire again?"
Raye smiled before starting explaining about the fire reading once again while Runo was trying to meditate once again.
Meanwhile at the marketplace, Lita and Alice were out doing some groceries shopping before Mouna spotted something familiar to her. "Ah, I didn't know that these plants grow here in the human world."
Lita smiled, "If you like I can buy them for you so you wouldn't feel homesick."
"Thank you, that will be lovely," said Mouna. "Actually, I sleep in those plants back in New Vestroia along with my siblings."
"You don't say," said Alice. She looks over at her partner, "What about you Hydra? Where did you sleep before meeting with me?"
"In a dark cave," replied Hydra. "It was alright but I think we gotten used to sleeping in something warm. We thank you for making those warm beds for us, Alice."
"You're welcome," said Alice, happily. She looked over at Lita, "What else do we need?"
"For sure we need plenty of snacks because of you know who," replied Lita with a face.
Alice laughed, nervously, "Oh right so snacks. That's over there…let me go get them."
"I'll go get the vegetables," said Lita.
Alice nodded before heading over to the snacks for Dan and Serena while Lita got the white hydrangeas then headed over to the vegetables.
Not too far from them, Mina and Julie were shopping new clothes – I mean showing Suar around the mall.
"Oh! That is so cute!" squealed Julie. She takes out a shirt and showed it to Mina, "What do you think? Should it get it or what?"
"Oh that does look good! You should totally get it!" said Mina, happily. "See Suar, we um…humans love to look good even if it happens to be raining."
"…I still don't understand human culture," murmured Suar.
"You can say that again," said Gorem. "Julie, shouldn't you be helping Mina on how to brawl before we head over at the meeting point?"
Julie waved her hand, "Oh I will, don't worry about it! We have like plenty of time, right Mina?"
"That's right! Raye said to meet at the park at three o'clock," said Mina.
"You positive is at three?" asked Julie.
"Totally," said Mina before taking out another outfit. "Oh! Look at this! Isn't this adorable?"
Julie squeaked, happily before nodding her head. Suar and Gorem had a sweat-drop coming down from their heads.
At Serena's place, Dan and Shun were planning out on how to teach the Inner Scouts about brawling while Serena was downstairs eating a snack. Rini decided to stay with the boys since Serena can be a messy eater.
"I think this covers the basics," said Dan. He sighs, "But man this is going to be weird. Teaching young kids is fine but teenage girls? I don't know if I can."
"You're going to do just fine," encouraged Shun. "It all depends if Serena and the other girls pay attention to what we have to teach them in such a short time."
"He's right," said Drago. "We have no idea when the enemies are going to strike."
"No pressure…I guess," murmured Dan, hopelessly.
Rini smiled, "If you like, I can make sure that Serena and the others pay attention."
Dan looked over at Rini before giving out a slight grin. "You know what…I think you can help, Rini but just wait for you spot to shine, alright?"
"Deal!" said Rini.
"We better get going," said Shun. He got up, "Everyone should have gotten to know their bakugan and the others should have given them some basic training."
Dan sighed, dramatically, "Not sure about Julie – make sure you send a message to her that the meeting point is at two, alright?"
Shun had his Bakupad out, "Way ahead of you, man. Let's go."
Dan nodded and the three of them headed downstairs to get Serena but they couldn't find her. That's when Rini found a note on the dinner table.
Rini picked up the note and quickly saw it was Serena's writing but could barely read what it read. She sighs knowing what it was trying to say, "I know where she's at…damn you Serena! Why didn't she take me with her?"
Dan and Shun looked at the Rini before looking over at the note. The brunette could faintly see that Serena was going to go out with Darien and took her bakugan, Natsu with her.
"Let's like we have to find her first before going to the meeting point," said Shun.
Rini giggled, "That's not going to be too hard. I know her usual meeting spots with Darien and most of the time is where you guys picked the meeting spot."
"Strange but convenient," said Dan. He shakes his head, "Let's get going before Raye and Runo scolded us about being late."
Shun and Rini nodded.
-Central Park-
"It's about time you three got here," said Raye.
"What took you so long?" asked Runo.
Dan, Shun and Rini pointed to Serena who had a disappointed look on her face. "Little Miss Meatball head here, want on a date with Darien in the last second," said Rini.
"Cool it, you mini brat," said Serena, angrily. She pouts, "I…sort of forgot about the training when Darien called me to hang out for a bit."
"Typical," murmured Raye before sighing. "Well…at least you beat Mina here. Where is she?"
"Hold it! We're here! We're here!"
The Scouts and Brawlers saw Mina and Julie running towards them with a few shopping bags. The Scouts sighs knowing what Mina was doing most of the time.
"Julie! You were supposed to teach Mina on how to brawl, not to shop!" snapped Runo.
"Hey, I was so totally going to…after our shopping but we sort of…lost track of time," said Julie who tried to look innocently. She pouts, "Besides I thought the meeting time was on three."
"It was two!" snapped Runo. "Even Dan knew the right time!"
"Dan? Oh Dan!" said Julie, happily. "How are you feeling? Are you sure you'll be able to brawl? If you can't, you can use my shoulders to rest your head."
Dan step back, "N-No, it's alright Julie. I-I'm fine, honest."
"Now that everyone is here, Marucho if you please," said Shun.
"Right," said Marucho before taking out five Bakupads. "This here is your Bakupads that will read a bakugan's G-Power level when there is a brawl going on."
The Scouts was handed out a colored Bakupad that represents of their attribute bakugan.
"Now let's start with the basics," stated Marucho before looking over at Dan. "Let me explain the girls on how to use the pads before you go on how to brawl, alright?"
Dan nodded, nervously, "S-Sure buddy."
It took about an hour for the girls to fully understand on how to use the Bakupads. Surprisingly, Serena and Amy were the ones to get it right while it took a bit time for Mina and Raye. Lita was somewhere in the middle.
Dan took a deep breath, "Alright, let's see…there are three types of cards. There are the gate cards that give extra G-Power to your bakugan, ability cards and fusion cards."
"Marucho mention that the Ability cards are sort of like the Gate cards but are more powerful and require some requirements to activate them," stated Amy.
'Thank you Marucho,' thought Dan. He nods, "They are but ability cards come with three different colors which mean different power level."
The Scouts looked at each other before talking out the cards they found in their homes in the morning.
"Now I'm guessing Apollonir have sent you some cards, right?" asked Dan as the Scouts nodded. "Right…the green ones are the power houses cards which would include the attribute name in the card. The blue ones are the basic cards with G-Power increases but have fewer conditions than the green ones and the red ones. And as for the red ones, they are situational abilities."
Amy and Lita seem to get it while Mina, Raye and Serena were clueless.
"What about fusion ability?" asked Lita.
"The Fusion ability is special ability cards but some of them are not that powerful," replied Dan. "Some of them can increase a bakugan's G-Power pretty high while some not so much."
"And the Gate cards?" asked Serena, surprisingly.
"Well…the Gate cards are where the bakugan play on," said Dan. He rubs his head, "The Gate cards just like the Ability cards give out G-Power base on their attribute. There sometimes special moves that set special conditions over the field."
Lita has one card on her hand, "I think I got it. So when do we start battling?"
"It's brawling and we start – now!" said Julie. She gave out a pose, "Now which one of you Scouts wants to face me on a brawl?"
"I'll shot," said Lita. "Ready when you are, Mouna!"
"I'm ready when you are," said Mouna.
Dan side over to Julie's side, "I know that you want to brawl Julie but…let's have someone else to brawl against them."
Julie titled her head, "And who would that be?"
"Me!" shouted Rini while Drago was riding on her shoulder.
"What?!" shouted the Scouts.
"B-But Rini doesn't know how to brawl," said Serena before making a face. "Or do you?"
"In matter of fact, I do," said Rini. She places her tiny hands onto her hips, "Dan showed me on how to brawl not too long ago…along with my training."
"I can't believe Rini knows how to brawl before us," murmured Raye as the other Scouts nodded their heads.
"You don't mind if I use Gorem?" asked Rini.
"Go right ahead but afterwards, I'm going to brawl one of them in the future," said Julie. She gave a kiss to Gorem before handing him to Rini, "Good luck to you both."
Gorem had a slight blush while Rini was laughing.
"Did…Julie really kissed her bakugan?" asked Raye in disbelief.
"She did," murmured Mina.
"You better not do that to me!" shouted the Scout's bakugan.
The Scouts agreed before Lita and Rini got ready to brawl. Dan walks over to the middle, "Alright. This wouldn't be an official brawl so it doesn't matter who wins or loses, understand?"
"Roger!" said Rini and Lita.
"Right, now set your Gate cards and begin!" said Dan. Since the Scouts have their own cards, they didn't have to be near with the Brawlers. The area around them started to freeze in place.
"Rini, begin!" instructed Dan.
"Right – Ability cards activate, Taros Hammer!"
Gorem: 500G + 200 = 700G
Mouna: 430G – 200 = 230G
"Lita notice that your bakugan's G-Power has been transferred to Gorem," said Dan. "Try to counter it before Gorem gets near your bakugan!"
"Right, let's try this – Ability card activate, Tornado Shield!"
Gorem: 700G to 500G
Mouna: 230G to 430G
"Nice, Lita you just nullify Gorem's ability," said Dan.
"But Mouna is still weak against Gorem," stated Shun.
Lita thought for a moment before snapping her fingers. "Then I think I know what to use – Gate card activate, Land Pressure!"
Gorem: 500G – 200 = 300G
"Oh no! He can't move anymore," said Julie, sadly.
"So…that means Rini can't activate any ability cards, right?" asked Lita as Dan nods. She smiles, "Then Mouna, finish this! Ability card activate, Cyclone!"
Mouna: 430G + 200 = 630G while Gorem: 300G
The Ventus Monarus flapped her butterfly wings and a powerful gust of winds send Gorem flying out of the gate card. The Subterra returned to his ball form as the Scouts cheers.
"Nice win, Lita," said Dan. He walks over at her and looks over at her current abilities, "We'll deal improving your deck later."
"Let's keep on moving then," said Shun before handing Skyress over to Rini. He looks over at the Scouts, "Mina, you're up next!"
"Alright!" said Mina, happily before taking Lita's spot. "Let's do this Suar!"
"Right!" said the Haos Saurus.
Skyress: 450G vs. Suar: 400G
"Right, Mina you can begin," said Dan.
Mina nodded, "Let's start this off with this – Ability card activate, Bulk Up!"
Suar: 400G + 200 = 600G while Skyress: 450G
"Ability card activate, Soar Green Destruction!" countered Rini.
Skyress: 450G + 400 = 850G
Suar: 600G – 200 = 400G
Mina panicked, "Ah! Wait um…what should I use?! This one or maybe this one?"
"Go Skyress! Before she can counter!" shouted Rini. The Ventus Phoenix nodded before drawing out her talons onto the Haos Saurus. Her attack took down the beast and sends him back to his ball form.
Mina ran over and picks up her bakugan. She cries a bit, "I'm sorry Suar! I wasn't fast enough to counter! Are you alright?"
"I'm fine Mistress Mina, please stop crying," said Suar.
Mina smiled before placing her partner onto her shoulder. She walks back with her friends when Raye stepped forward. "Let me go next, who will face me and Griff?"
Dan and Shun looked at each other before smirking.
The brunette walked over to Alice and whispers to her ear. Alice smiles before walking over to Rini. She then looks over at Raye, "You will be facing my Hydranoid if you don't mind."
Raye smirked, "I don't mind at all – let's go! Gate card set!"
"Please help me out Hydra," said Rini. "Gate card set!"
Hydra: 550G vs. Griff: 390G
"Wow, that's a lot of G-Power," said Mina, worriedly.
"We don't care, right Griff?" said Raye as the Pyrus Griffin nodded.
"Rini, begin," said Dan.
"Ability card activate, Death Trident!" started Rini.
Griff: 390G – 300 = 90G while Hydra: 550G
"Holy – she took a lot of G-Power from Raye's bakugan in one go!" said Lita in shock.
"Raye, you better think of something quick!" said Serena.
"I am, you meatball head!" snapped Raye. "Fusion ability card activate, Supernova!"
"I've never heard that fusion card before," said Marucho. He looks over at Dan, "Have you?"
Dan shook his head, "No but I'm guessing it has something to do with their plant energy power."
Runo made a face, "How in the world do you know that?"
Dan shrugged his shoulders. "It's just a guess but I'll ask Apollonir about it later."
"So what did this fusion card do?" wondered Julie. Everyone watched as Griff let out a massive firewall to the entire gate card and destroyed it. Not only that, Griff's G-Power increased as well.
Griff: 90G + 400 = 490G while Hydra: 550G
Dan whistled, "It destroyed Rini's Gate card and boosted Griff's G-Power up to 400G."
"That's a pretty useful Fusion ability," said Marucho while the others nodded.
"But it's still not enough to beat Hydra," stated Amy.
"Don't think I will be fooled to go to your Gate card unprotected," said Rini. "Ability card activate, Shadowscratch!"
Raye covered her eyes as her gate card was nullified as well. She murmured, "I thought she'll take the bait…"
Rini grinned, "There's more – ability card activate, Destroy Vanish!"
Griff: 490G to 0G while Hydra: 550G
"Wait! What just happened?" asked Raye, losing confidence.
"She reduced your bakugan's G-Power to zero," explained Alice.
"This is what you get for thinking that you can beat me, human!" said Hydra, letting out a dark massive fireball to Griff. The Pyrus Griffin fell onto the ground before forming back to his ball form.
Raye sighed, "And here I thought was going to win in my first try…I guess not. Sorry Griff but looks like we need to keep on practicing."
"That's alright," said Griff.
"Let's keep on going, shall we?" said Dan. "Serena, if you please step forward."
Serena sighed before walking over where Raye was standing at. She takes out her card and throws it, "Gate card set! Let's go, Natsu!"
"Gate card set! Preyas, battle time!" said Rini after Marucho handed his partner to her.
Preyas: 500G vs. Natsu: 420G
"Let's dance," said Preyas, dramatically.
Marucho made an annoyed face, "Don't you dare start with that stuff again, Preyas!"
"What? I was being a gentleman to this pretty Phoenix," said Preyas. Marucho slapped his forehead while Rini giggled.
"…Right, Serena begin," said Dan.
Serena nodded, "Let's see…ability card activate, Spark Thunder!"
Natsu: 420G + 200 = 620G while Preyas: 500G
"Ability card activate, Blue Whirlwind!" countered Rini.
Preyas: 500G + 200 = 700G
Natsu: 620G – 100 = 520G
"Beat that meatball head," said Rini, holding her head up high.
Serena clenched her hands, "Shut it you mini brat! Gate card activate, Element Merge!"
Preyas: 700G – 200 = 500G
Natsu: 520G + 200 = 720G
"Serena is the first one to use her gate card," said Amy, eyeing the other three. Lita, Mina and Raye were rubbing their heads, sheepishly.
"Glad to know she was paying attention, right Dan?" said Marucho as the brunette nodded.
"Right, let's try this – Preyas, change attribute!" ordered Rini as the Scouts gasp. They watched as the Aquos bakugan flipped and his colors changed into brown.
"Looks like Preyas turned into a Subterra," said Marucho.
"How is that possible?" asked Amy.
"Preyas can change his attribute in each round but it's random. It can be Subterra or Darkus," explained Marucho. "He has a few ability cards when he changes attribute."
The Scouts were in awe.
"Ability card activate, Slumping Rocket!" said Rini.
Preyas (Subterra): 500G + 300 = 800G while Natsu: 720G
"…let's try this – Fusion ability card activate, Spiral Light!" said Serena. The phoenix let out a bright light and surrounded around her body before sending it over to Preyas.
Natsu: 720G + 300 = 1020G
Preyas (Subterra): 800G – 200 = 600G
The attack sends Preyas to the ground and was in his ball form. The Scouts stood there in shock.
"Serena…won her first brawl," said Raye.
"And here I thought she was going to mess it up like I me," murmured Mina, sadly.
"When Serena gets serious, she gets serious," stated Lita while Amy nodded.
"Oh come on," said Raye before having a negative aura around her. "How in the world was she able to win her first match while I couldn't?"
The Brawlers let out a small laughter.
"That's was pretty fun," said Rini. She smiles, "I don't mind brawling Serena again."
"Likewise Rini," said Serena before placing her partner to her shoulder. "Nice work out there."
"The same with you Serena," said Natsu.
"Alright, Amy you're the last one," said Dan. He looks over towards Runo, "Would you like Tigrerra to face her or should Rini use Drago?"
Runo winked, "Let Tigrerra have some little fun."
Dan nodded as Runo walks over to Rini and hand her Tigrerra. The brunette looked over at Amy, "Whenever you are ready."
"Right, gate card set! Let's go Robo!"
"Gate card set! Take your stand Tigrerra!"
Robo: 410G vs. Tigrerra: 500G
"Here we go…ability card activate, Depth Tornado!" said Amy as the attack started to surround Tigrerra in a massive wave of water.
Tigrerra: 500G – 200 = 300G while Robo: 410G
"Ability card activate, Velocity Fang!" countered Rini. The attack nullified Robo's ability and Tigrerra's G-Power returns.
Tigrerra: 300G to 500G
Robo: 410G – 100 = 310G
"Ability card activate, Aqua Cyclone!" ordered Amy. The attack was circling around the field as Robo was glowing bright blue.
Robo: 310G + 150 = 460G
Tigrerra: 500G – 100 = 400G
"Ability card activate, Saber Glower!" said Rini.
Robo: 460G – 400 = 60G
Tigrerra: 400G + 400 = 800G
"Amy, hang in there!" shouted Serena. "I know you can do it!"
"But what can she use to lower that massive G-Power boost," wondered Mina.
"I can think of one card," murmured Raye. The Scouts looked at her with a confuse look while the Brawlers were smiling.
"Fusion ability card activate, Aqua Mist!" said Amy. The whole field was covered intense fog.
Dan looked over at his Bakupad and noticed that Tigrerra's G-Power went downhill. He smiles, "Looks like Amy was able to nullify Tigrerra's ability card and also subtract 300Gs."
Tigrerra: 800G to 400G – 300 = 100G
Robo: 60G to 460G
With that, Robo was able to defeat Tigrerra and send her back to her ball form. All of them returned back to Central Park and everything was moving again.
"Well that was fun," said Serena, happily. She yawns, "I don't know about you guys but that sort of tired me out."
"Why don't we head to my place?" offered Lita. "Alice and I made some wicked snacks before coming here."
"Let's go!" said Serena and Mina while Dan's eyes brighten up. The others agreed and headed over to Lita's place for well deserve break.

Well it looks like the Sailor Scouts did not that bad in their first time brawling, don't you think? But will it be enough training to face the enemies ahead?
Who will be the Witch they have to face? And can the Outer Scouts allow them to help them out?
