Summary: A Darkus bakugan was send to Tokyo rather back to Vestroia with the other bakugan where he meets Mimete and team up to catch pure hearts. Can the Sailor Scouts defeat this new foe or will the Battle Brawlers have to step up to help them out?

-Tsukino's, night-
Rini is humming, happily in the bath tub with Serena.
"Hey, what's up, Rini? You seem extra cheerful tonight," stated Serena.
"Well, I guess cause Dan an I made a new friend," explained Rini.
"Really?!" said Serena, excitedly. She leans over to her, "Is it a girl or a boy? Come on Rini, tell me!"
Rini made a face, "No! I'm not telling you anything! It's none of your business!"
Serena with an annoyed expression splashed water onto Rini's face. The pink hair child stared at her teenage mother with her eyes closed before jumping on top of her and pushed her into the water.
"I'll get you for that!" shouted Rini.
Future mother and daughter were having some sort of water war but were stopped when they heard a loud knock on the door.
"Quit playing around, Serena!" shouted Ikuko.
Meanwhile at the living room, Dan was watching a movie with Shingo when they head the shouting. Shingo sighed, "Girls…it must be fun being an only child, right cous?"
"Not…really," replied Dan. He had a sweat-drop going down while thinking about his past life.
-Raye's Shine, few days passed-
"What?" said Lita in shock. "You mean Rini talked to you guys for advice too? All of you?"
Julie nodded, "Like totally! She asked us on how she should dress up!"
"Since she is going to a friend's house for the first time, she wanted help," said Mina, recalling her fashion tips with Julie to the young pink hair child.
"She even asked Marucho and I for advice on what to give her for a present," said Amy.
"I told her that she didn't need to bring any present but Amy suggested bringing a book. To see if her new friend has the same interest," said Marucho.
Julie smiled, mischievously, "I say…Rini is taking this 'new' friendship too seriously."
"I'll say!" said Mina. She smirks a bit, "I think she's too obsessed onto impressing this 'new' friend, don't you guys think?"
Alice frowned a bit, "I don't think that's it. I think she's trying not to embarrass herself or make a wrong impression. Besides, she said that her new friend is really shy and goes to a different school."
"You know, when she came over, Alice and I was finishing up baking some cookies," said Lita, recalling Alice packing some for Rini. She smiles a bit, "If I would know in advance, I would have made some cookie shape lips. What his new boy gonna think, huh?" That's when she noticed her friends stopped walking beside her. "Guys?"
"Cookies shape like lips?" questioned Mina.
"That's…kind of weird," whispered Amy.
"I wonder if she is after some guy," smirked Julie.
"That's not true! Alice, tell them!" said Lita.
Alice laughed, nervously and stepped back a bit before feeling an annoyed aura behind her. She turned around to see Raye sitting at the top of the stone stairs while Runo was standing with her arms crossed.
"Rini came to us too…about manners," whispered Raye.
"DAN, YOU IDIOT!" shouted Runo.
Everyone stepped away from their two annoyed friends.
-Flashback, 10 minutes ago-
"So you want to know what to say when you arrive at your friend's house?" asked Raye. Though just as she was about to reply, Serena appeared from her left side.
"Just leave it to me – and Dan! We'll show her how to act like a lady and stuff before we all get there!" said Serena, happily.
Dan narrowed his eyes, annoyingly, "Why am I being dragged into this? Besides her new friend is my friend too. I was already going with her anyway."
"Yea Serena!" said Rini before pointing at her. "Besides don't you have some homework to do?"
"She's right!" said Raye, turning around to face Serena. "You can't take her! You have bunch of school work to do!"
Runo leaned over to Dan's right, "So…this new friend…is it a boy or a girl? What about the age? Same as yours or Rini's?"
Dan was about to reply when he was suddenly pulled from his shirt by Serena after tricking Raye by saying she saw Chad. Serena escaped with Dan and Rini.
-End Flashback-
"Serena tricked her real good," said Mina as everyone agreed.
"What I want to know is this new friend?! Why Dan didn't tell us?" snapped Runo.
Shun leaned onto the stone arc, "Who cares. This can be good distraction for Dan. He hasn't been relaxing much as of late."
"He's right," said Alice. She placed her hand under her chin, "I get a feeling that Dan has been using more of his attribute to locate Odin."
"That would explain why Dan can use his powers without transforming," said Marucho.
Runo sighed, "Fine, I'll let him be…for now!"
Meanwhile exiting from a bookstore, Rini was holding a new book while Serena was holding the cookies that Lita made. Dan had a small bag that has a bookmark with a white and black roses on the bottom.
"Don't you think getting a more serious book will be better for your friend?" asked Serena.
"No, I've got a lot of trouble to get this book. It's been sold out anywhere else and I just manage to get this last one…with Dan's help," replied Rini.
Serena sighed, "I wish you would have bought Charles Henry Clerk's latest book instead."
"If I'm not mistaken but that's a comic book, not a novel book," stated Dan.
Serena whistled, innocently.
"You know," said Rini as she looked up towards Serena. "Do you still have to come with me cause I don't need you. Dan was coming with me so you don't have to tag along."
Drago popped out from Dan's pocket jacket. "I think she's a bit too curious to meet your new friend."
"Is that true?" asked Dan.
"Of course!" said Serena before rubbing the back of her head. "Besides it's my duty to know who your friends are."
Rini looked down with a sad look, "My friend is nice but…"
"Not on the healthy side," finished Dan.
Serena quickly thought of a sick boy, sitting on a bed while Rini was taking care of him and Dan would chat with him like a normal boy, not a sick one. Her eyes started to sparkle, "Taking care of a new friend will be so romance, couldn't it? As your future mother, you should introduce me as our guardian – you to Dan!"
"Our guardian? As if!" argued Rini.
Dan sighed, "I already have two guardians…and they are not human."
It took about 15 minutes to reach to Hotaru's house which took Serena a bit surprise how big the place was. Rini ran over to the door but couldn't reach the door ringer.
"Dan, can you ring the doorbell?" asked Rini.
The brunette nodded and was about to ring it when they heard the door started to open. Serena was about to give a warming greeting when she stopped. The blond teen dropped the cookies but luckily Dan was able to catch them before they hit the ground.
Serena stood in shock as right in front of her was none other than Kaorinite.
"Yes, may I ask who you are?"
That's when a man with silver hair and wearing glasses that covered his right eye appeared by the redhead female. "What is it? Visitors?"
"Doctor," bowed the redhead.
"Ah, I remember," said Tomoe as he sees the two children. "Dan, Rini, you two are Hotaru's friends. I'm pleased to see the two of you coming for a visit."
"I didn't know young Hotaru made some friends," said the redhead.
"Just recently," said Tomoe before noticing Serena. "Hello, I'm Doctor Tomoe, Hotaru's father. Nice to meet you."
Rini and Dan greeted, nicely while Serena was slightly nervous as she looked over at the familiar redhead. That's when Dan and Drago felt an uneasy aura around the mysterious redhead.
"Please, come on in," said Tomoe. He placed his hand over to the redhead's shoulder, "This is Kaorinite, she will show you in." He looked over to the redhead, "Kaori, I think Hotaru is busy getting ready. Why don't you take them to the family room to wait please."
Kaori bowed, slightly, "Yes."
"I'll go and make some coco for you all," offered Tomoe before leaving.
Kaori guided Dan, Rini and Serena to the family room. During the walk, Serena was staring at the redhead with an uncertain look.
'She may look like that evil Kaorinite…and using the same name but seems to be someone else,' thought Serena and shook her head. 'How silly of me to think there will be an enemy in this house.'
Unknown to them, Doctor Tomoe stopped at the end of a hallway before pressing a small button, to reveal a hidden entrance. He entered and opened a locker to pull out a white lab coat before grinning, evilly.
Deeper inside, Mimete was reading a dramatic comic book and head tears coming down from her eyes. Odin was taking a small nap after he and Mimete trained a bit.
'What are you doing, Drop? It's your fault that Andre is dead.'
'That's not what happened, Aunty.'
'Yeah. That was –
'Shut up, get out!'
'Drop!'
Mimete lowered her book, "I feel so sorry for poor Drop…"
"…drama queen," murmured Odin as the phone ring.
Mimete answered, "Yes, Mimete speaking."
Tomoe was heating up a glass of water, "You're up, I just want to know if you located a worthy target yet Mimete."
Mimete, almost dropping her phone, panicked. She looked around, "Um…ah…um – yes! Of course, I have!" As she spotted the flyer, "The prefect target that I've found for you is a pure heart of a talented, young writer. I'm sure he's the one and he'll be at the Juban Bookstore in Main Street today. He's promoting his latest book today."
"Excellent. I'll prepare a suitable daimon pod quickly so we'll be sure to attend this intellectual stimulating event," said Tomoe before hanging up. He checked the hot drink, "Excellent, the coco is perfect!"
As Mimete and Odin left with the daimon, Serena was getting slightly tensed while Dan and Rini were waiting, patiently.
"So where's the coco?" murmured Serena.
"Serena," warned Rini.
The blond slightly glared at Rini while Dan shook his head. The brunette looked over at the grandfather clock and noticed they were waiting for about ten minutes.
"I wonder what's keeping Hotaru," wondered Rini, worriedly.
"You think Hotaru is not feeling good today," wondered Dan.
Rini thought for a moment but was interrupted when the door opened. Serene turned to see a young teenage girl with short black hair and has violet eyes. She was wearing black, long sleeve shirt, black shirt and long, black pants.
Hotaru smiled, "Dan, Rini, how are you guys doing? I'm glad you two came over."
Serena gasped before looking over to Dan, "The friend you guys were talking about is a girl!"
"We never say it was a boy either," stated Rini.
Serena gritted her teeth, angrily while Rini grinned, happily. Dan sighed, dramatically as Hotaru walked over to them.
"Is she your older sister?" asked Hotaru.
Rini shook her head, "Like Dan, she's my cousin, Serena. She tagged along because she thought out new friend was a boy."
"What?! R-Rini, I'm actually..." started Serena but was interrupted.
"It's true!" argued Rini.
"As you guardian, I just wanted to introduce myself," said Serena.
"Yeah, right," said Rini. She crossed her arms, "It's so obvious."
Dan sighed, "And here we go again…you know I should be taking scores."
Hotaru watched in silent as Serena and Rini argued once again. Within seconds, Hotaru started to giggle which caused the arguing to stop.
Rini blushed with embarrassment, "L-Look what you did. She's laughing at us."
"Is it…really?" said Serena, softly.
"I'm sorry for laughing. Hello Serena, I'm Hotaru Tomoe. I meet Rini and Dan a few days ago at the park."
"Oh…well hi. It's nice to meet you Hotaru," greeted Serena.
"I'm sorry to keep you three waiting for so long. Would you like to come to see my room?" asked Hotaru before stopping to see Kaori at the doorway.
"Oh that's fine. I'll just take this to your room, okay?" offered Kaori.
"No, thanks," replied Hotaru, slightly coldly. She took the tray with drinks from her, "Why don't you mind your own business Kaorinite."
Serena, Rini and Dan were slightly surprised upon Hotaru's attitude towards the redhead. They got up and followed Hotaru to her room.
"I'm sorry," apologize Hotaru. "My dad is a scientist. He's busy with his research so his assistant often comes around but I don't really care for her."
"I see so where's your mom, Hotaru?" asked Serena.
Hotaru stopped, "She…died…awhile back."
Dan and Rini widen their eyes while Serena had a sad look on her face.
"I'm…I'm so sorry," said Serena.
"Na, it's alright," said Hotaru. She opens a door, "Anyway, I want to hear more about the three of you. Please make yourself at home."
The three of them gasp upon seeing Hotaru's room. It was dark but around the room there were multiple of bright crystal balls. As if they were staring at the night sky.
"Wow. It's so pretty and mysterious too," said Rini.
"Feels like I'm star gazing at the night sky," said Dan. He smiled over at Hotaru, "I sometimes like to star gaze back where I live."
"Thank you. Maybe we can all star gaze together sometime," said Hotaru.
Dan nodded before noticing Hotaru was about to faint. He quickly grabbed her shoulders before handing Serena the tray of drinks.
"H-Hotaru! Are you okay? Dan, she's not hurt, is she?" asked Serena.
Dan shook his head as Rini ran over to Hotaru's side. The brunette placed Hotaru's head, slowly to his lap, "Give her a few minutes. She's having one of her episodes."
Serena bit her lip, worriedly before placing the tray to a nearby desk. As she bends down, Rini took out her crystal and looked over to Serena.
"Serena, please let me heal her a bit by using my crystal," asked Rini.
"Wh – Wait! Are you asking me…"
"Please mama! I promise not to use too much energy!" begged Rini as tears run down from her cheeks. "I hate seeing Hotaru like this."
Serena had an uncertain look but deep inside her heart, she was overjoyed to hear her future child calling her 'mama'. Her thought were interrupted by Dan.
"I can lend her a hand. I've been practicing on calling out my attribute energy without transforming…though with Drago's help," offered Dan.
Drago popped out from the pocket, "Yes but this is different Dan."
"I know that!" said Dan. "But if Rini and I combine our energy, we wouldn't be using too much energy or our strength. Just enough for Hotaru to get well."
Serena and Drago looked at each other when Natsu jumped onto Serena's shoulder.
"I don't see a problem with that. They are helping out someone in need, correct?"
Serena sighed, "Alright, go ahead."
Rini smiled, happily and without hesitation, hugged Serena before placing her brooch onto Hotaru's hand while Dan placed his hands onto Hotaru's shoulder. The two closed their eyes and concentrate their energy onto Hotaru. Within seconds, the fallen teen slowly opened her eyes.
"What – How? What happened?" asked Hotaru.
"You fainted. How…do you feel?" replied Serena.
Hotaru blinked her eyes before smiling, "Great! For the first time, I don't feel that tired." That's when she looked down to see the pink brooch, "What's…this?"
"That's mine! Just like your healing powers, this helps heal too! Dan also helped!" explained Rini.
"R-Really?" said Hotaru in disbelief. She looked down at the brooch again before spotting a red ball. She picked it up, "And this? Some sort of toy?"
"Oh – um yea…it's mine. Must have fallen or something," replied Dan, sheepishly. "Where I live, we play this game using those."
"Oh?" said Hotaru. All of a sudden, she had this strange stare, "Power is arising within me. Power is arising within me…"
"Hotaru?" said Rini.
Hotaru snapped out from her trance before noticing the weird look on her new friend's faces. She bites her lip, "Sorry, did I just say anything just now?" She sighed before looking down, sadly. "I know…I'm little odd sometimes."
She gave back the pink brooch and the red ball to Rini and Dan.
"You're not odd," said Dan before sighing. He scratched his cheek, "If you want to know odd then you have to meet some of my other friends."
Hotaru stared at Dan with disbelief before smiling a bit.
"Hey Rini, Dan, the two of you brought a present," said Serena as she wanted to change the subject. She smiled, "Why don't the two of you give them to her?"
"Oh you're right! I forgot about it," said Rini, excitedly. She took out the book as Dan handed her the bookmark. "I'm sure you'll enjoy it like I did – ta-da!"
That's when Serena spotted a flyer coming out from the book. She picked it up and read it aloud, "Charles Henry Clerk will come and sign your book."
Dan made an annoyed face, "Not this Clerk guy again."
Rini snatched the flyer from Serena before gasp, "But I didn't buy his book – Wh – It's already starting!"
"Why didn't you notice earlier?!" snapped Serena before looking over at the brunette. "What is your excuse Dan?!"
Dan had a straight face, "There were a bunch of flyers all over the bookstore. I thought one of you two already saw it."
Serena and Rini blushed from embarrassment.
Dan leaned over to Hotaru, "Better get used to this. The two of them fight like cats and dogs…just like my friends but you'll like them and Serena's friends."
Hotaru simply smiled as she can't believe she gained two wonderful friends.
"Come on, if we go right now, we might be able to make it before he leaves," said Serena.
"But Hotaru," said Rini, sadly.
"Serena and I can get there first while you make sure Hotaru wouldn't faint," said Dan.
Rini nodded, "Want to go, Hotaru?"
Hotaru smiled, "Sure, let's go."
Serena and Rini cheered before the four of them headed out to the bookstore. Hotaru left a note to her dad where she will be at so he wouldn't get worried. It took half an hour to reach the bookstore incase Hotaru feels dizzy again and Dan would carry her viva piggyback.
As Serena and Dan reached to the parking lot, the two gasped to see Mimete with her heart snatcher. It looks like her target is Charles this time.
"Make Rini take Hotaru out of here," whispered Serena.
Dan nodded before running over to Rini, "Sorry looks like we missed the book signing. Why don't the two of you head over to the arcade? We'll meet'cha there soon." He leans over to Rini, "Heart snatcher, take Hotaru out of here."
Rini nodded and grabbed Hotaru's arm, "Come on, there's this cool game that I can show you!"
"Um okay," said Hotaru as she was being dragged away.
Dan made sure they were out of sight before going back to Serena. The blond teen was leaning onto the wall as she saw the heart snatcher swallow Charles' pure heart. As they were about to transform, the daimon was attacked.
Serena and Dan looked around before spotting the three outer scouts standing on top of the car.
"Sorry but it looks like we need to cut in," said Neptune.
"You're not going anywhere with that pure heart," said Pluto.
"So I suggest that you hand it over before I destroy you," said Uranus.
'At least they don't say those ridiculous phases…but their puns,' thought Dan.
Mimete stopped her foot, "Not you three again – Get rid of them U-Henshu!"
"As you wish, Chief Editor," said U-Henshu.
"Who are you calling Chief Editor?! Hurry up and get them!" snapped Mimete.
"Yes, madam!" said U-Henshu before going after the Outer Scouts.
Serena and Dan watched at a safe distance, the fight between the heart snatcher and the Outer Scouts. At first, it looked like the Outer Scouts were winning when Dan spotted the Darkus bakugan glowing. The brunette turned his head to see that the daimon was glowing as well. Suddenly, the tables were turned and the Outer Scouts needed help – their help.
Screw Amara's warning.
"Let's go and help them out, Dan," said Serena as she took out her heart brooch.
Dan with his card out, nodded, "Way ahead of you."
"Moon Comic Power/Ability card, power of Pyrus bakugan – transform!"
Meanwhile Neptune and Pluto were struggling to get out from a large paper around them while Uranus was trapped under a large paper that she couldn't get out. U-Henshu was advance towards her with two of her fingers turned into a pair of scissors.
"Burning Fire!"
U-Henshu was covered in flames for a moment before leaving her burn as a crisp. The daimon shook it off, "Who did that?"
"I did and we came here to stop you!"
The daimon and the Outer Scouts looked over to see Sailor Moon and Pyrus Warrior.
"By the laws of Vestroia, I, Pyrus Warrior came here to stop you!"
"That's right! How dare you steal the words of a cute writer! I'm Sailor Moon and in the name of all readers – I'll shall punish you!"
"…finally…time to defeat that no good dragonoid," murmured Odin.
"You will but first – U-Henshu, get rid of these two annoying pests!" ordered Mimete.
U-Henshu nodded before dashing towards Pyrus and Sailor Moon. Pyrus dashed forward while Sailor Moon freed the Outer Scouts.
"What are you two doing here?!" scolded Uranus. "Hurry up and get out of here!"
Sailor Moon shook her head, "That's no way to say to someone that saved your life! Please Uranus, let us help you!"
Neptune jumped next to Pyrus, "Move Pyrus! Deep Submerge!"
"I can handle a sudden rain shower," said U-Henshu as she transforms her hand into an umbrella.
Uranus gritted her teeth, "No, just get out of here – both of you!"
Sailor Moon frowned, "But why? Why can't we help you? All of us are guardians, trying to…"
"You just get in the way!" interrupted Uranus, harshly.
Pyrus appeared next to Uranus, "Says the scout that was pinned down at the ground, not too long ago! And who came to save her?!"
Uranus was about to argue back when the daimon started to throw some of her weapon supplies. She was about to attack the daimon when a gold chain wrapped around U-Henshu.
Mimete turned around to see the rest of the Inner Scouts and the Warrior Brawlers. She bites her lip, "W-When did you all show up?!"
Sailor Moon looked around, "Everyone…but how…"
"I contact them," said Pyrus. He shrugs his shoulders, "I figured that we might need some help…or are you going to protest, Uranus?"
Uranus narrowed her eyes but stayed silent. She looked over at Tuxedo Mask who was given them a questioning look. Uranus turned her head as she knows there is much to discuss with the future King but in a later time.
"Oh, these silly scouts and brawlers are wreaking my plan," whined Mimete.
"W-What are were going to do?" asked U-Henshu, worriedly.
"What do you think?! Get rid of them – all!" snapped Mimete.
"Huh? But there are so many of them," said U-Henshu.
"What's the problem with that?! Use your weapons!" snapped Mimete, angrily.
"I…sort of use them all," replied U-Henshu, sheepishly.
All the Sailor Scouts and the Brawlers had a sweat drop.
"Now's your chance, Sailor Moon," said Tuxedo Mask.
Sailor Moon took out the purity chalice, "Moon Crisis Power!" She summoned her heart rod, "A little boost Pyrus."
"You got it!"
"Rainbow Moon Heartache/Maximum Dragon!"
The flaming red flames combined with the heart shape blast before heading towards U-Henshu. Mimete quickly got away, leaving the daimon behind. The heart blaze destroyed the daimon that revealed to be a sheet of a comic book. The pod came out and was destroyed while the pure heart returned back to Charles.
Mimete stomped her foot, "I've had it with you annoying brats! Odin, let's go!"
As Mimete took her gate card, the Brawlers and the Inner Scouts took out theirs. Darkus took Neptune's arm; Shun took Uranus' while Aquos took Pluto's to the play field.
Uranus frowned, "Not this place again…"
"Let's go, Odin! Let's show them what they are dealing with," said Mimete.
"You have no idea who you are dealing with – let's go Drago!" said Dan as he took out Drago from the small crimson crystal.
"Gate card set! Bakugan brawl – bakugan stand, Drago/ Odin, let's go!"
Dan: 0/3 vs. Mimete: 0/3
Odin: 480G and Drago: 400G
Mimete's gate card: Pyrus Spotting-Out
Dan's gate card: Pyrus Reactor
"Ladies first – ability card activate, Phantom Force," said Mimete.
"I don't think so and you are no lady! Ability card activate, Tornado Barrier!" said Dan. "That cancels your ability and subtracts 100G from your bakugan!"
Odin: 480G – 100 = 380G
Drago: 400G
Mimete gritted her teeth, "Oh no you don't! Ability card activate, Eraser Cannon!"
Odin: 380G + 200 = 580G
Drago: 400G – 150 = 250G
"Taste of defeat Drago," said Odin. He fired a dark purple steam towards Drago which caused the Pyrus Dragonoid to fall onto the ground and transformed into his ball form.
Mimete: 1/3 vs. Dan: 0/3
"That's not good," murmured Marucho. "Mimete got her first win."
"You better not mess this up Pyrus!" snapped Runo. "Or you'll be answering to me, you got it?!"
'Yea right,' thought Dan. "This is just getting started! Abilities card activate, Burning Dragon!"
Drago: 400G + 200 = 600G
Odin: 480G
Mimete waited until Drago was close enough, "Gate card activate!" The card started to glow before hitting Drago right at the chest and send him to the ground.
Drago: 600G – 500 = 100G
Odin: 480G
Odin flew upward before diving down to Drago. As he was about to attack, Dan smirked, "Gate card activate!" The card glowed before surrounding around Drago before his body was glowing bright red.
Drago: 100G + 400 = 500G
Odin: 480G
Drago let out a massive fireball before releasing it towards Odin. The fireball hit Odin to the face before sending onto the ground before transforming into his ball form.
Mimete: 1/3 vs. Dan: 1/3
"I don't get it," said Lita. "How can she brawl this good after from our last encounter?"
"I have a feeling that Odin must have trained her," said Shun. He narrowed his eyes, "I wonder if he also trained any other members of the witches if so…this can't be good."
The Inner Scouts had a grim look on their faces while the Outer Scouts were slightly worried.
"Gate card set!"
Mimete's gate card: Power Pressure
Dan's gate card: Trade-Off
"You annoying little pest – I'll show you power! Ability card activate, Doom Twilight!" said Mimete, angrily. She grits her teeth, "No more Miss Nice Girl…"
Odin: 480G + 550 = 1030G
Drago: 400G
"Holy cow! That's a lot of G power!" said Julie.
"Will Pyrus be able to counter that?" asked Mina.
"He can but what I'm worried about is what Mimete will counter afterwards," replied Marucho.
Dan gritted his teeth, "Ability card activate, Strike Dragon!"
Drago: 400G + 400 = 800G
Odin: 1030G – 400 = 630G
"I'm not going allow you to beat me! Ability card activate, Plasma Impulse!" said Mimete.
Odin: 630G + 350 = 980G
Drago: 800G
"Let's see how you can withstand with this," said Odin. He let out a massive dark purple energy blast towards Drago. The Pyrus dragonoid let out a scream before transforming back to his ball form.
Mimete: 2/3 vs. Dan: 1/3
Mimete smirked, "Let's like I'm about to win this so why don't you just give up little boy?"
Dan narrowed his eyes, "I fight no matter the odds are against me! I fought tough battles than this lady! Ability card activate, Burning Tornado!"
Drago: 400G + 200 = 600G
Odin: 480G
"A pity hope," mocked Mimete. She took out a card, "But not good enough – Ability card activate, Eraser Cannon!"
Odin: 480G + 200 = 680G
Drago: 600G – 150 = 450G
Dan gritted his teeth before noticing one of his cards started to glow. He looked over it before smirking, "Hope is never a pity – Fusion Ability, Pyrus Slayer!"
Julie gasped, "That ability can be used when Drago was Infinite Dragonoid. What gives?!"
"I guess…since he changed back to his original form, he was able to use some of his new abilities when he evolved," said Shun.
Odin: 680G – 100 = 580G
Drago: 450G + 300 = 750G
The Outer Scouts watched as Drago was surrounded by crimson glow before letting out a few steams of red blasted towards Odin. The red streams hit Odin several times before returning back to his ball form.
Mimete: 2/3 vs. Dan: 2/3
"This is the tie breaker," said Alice. She bites her lip, "I know Dan is strong but let's not forget we are dealing with someone that learned from Naga."
"Right so Dan really needs to concentrate in this round," said Marucho. He adjusted his glasses, "Who knows what would happen if we lose to these witches?"
The Inner Scouts and the other Brawlers nodded.
Mimete gritted her teeth, "How dare you, you brat! Odin, if they are going to use powerful abilities then – Ability card activate, Dragon Shadow!"
Suddenly Drago started to glow dark purple then kneed down at the ground.
Mimete smirked, "Sorry, looks like you little warrior can't use any abilities for a while. But no matter, you'll be defeated after this – Fusion ability, Ultimate Destruction!"
Odin: 480g + 700 = 1180G
Drago: 400G – 400 = 0G
"Not good, not good," panicked Marucho.
"Pyrus, don't just stand there! Do something!" snapped Runo.
"Pyrus!" shouted the Inner Scouts.
Dan had his bangs covering his eyes but what did show was him smirking. He lifts up his head where Mimete could see that he had something in his sleeve.
"What are you smirking about? You're going to lose!" said Mimete, slight worried. She pointed at Drago, "You can't use any abilities!"
"Who said anything about abilities," stated Dan. "Gate card activate!"
The moment Odin entered into Dan's side, the card started to glow where the light started to surround Odin and sending him flying over to his side. The Darkus bakugan landed pretty hard before returning back to his ball form.
Mimete: 2/3 vs. Dan: 3/3
All of them returned back to the parking lot. Mimete picked up the fallen bakugan before getting up and step away from the incoming scouts. She grits her teeth before running away from the scouts and the brawlers, taking the unconscious bakugan with her.
Serena smiled, "You guys came just in time."
Raye leaned towards to Serena's face, "Don't think I'll forget that you missed a study session today, missy."
Serena laughed, nervously, "I'm sorry about that."
"So how was the training Shun?" asked Dan.
Shun crossed his arms, "Fine but Runo was not concentrating. She was too busy thinking about your 'mysterious' new friend."
Dan had an annoyed look, "Of course – Oh! Serena, we better head over to the arcade. We don't want Hotaru to get worried about us."
"Right," said Serena. She smiles, sheepishly to her friends, "Sorry guys, we'll see you tomorrow – let's go Dan!"
The Scouts and Brawlers watched their leaders transform back to the normal before dashing out from the parking lot. They stood in silence when Julie broke it.
"Hotaru?! Isn't that a girl's name?!"
-Central Park, night-
Darien left his apartment, leaving Shun to rest since the young teen has an exam tomorrow. The former prince never thought he would be able to take care of a child, less than a teenager but Shun was a well-mannered child and easy to handle. Not like Rini.
His thoughts were interrupted when a small reddish ball bakugan appeared before him. He titled his head, "Um…and you are?"
"Forgive me, it is I, Apollonir. I sense that you are meeting with the Outer Scouts, correct?"
Darien nodded.
"Then I shall company with you. Queen Serenity mention that they can be rather…stubborn and holds too much pride in their power," said Apollonir. He settled onto Darien's shoulder as the former prince headed towards the fountain to see Trista, Michelle and Amara.
"Greetings, King Endymin," said Michelle, politely. That's when she notices the red bakugan, "Is that Drago with you?"
Trista shook her head, "No, that's Apollonir. He was Dan's former guardian in his past life but why are you here? Is this about our mission?"
Amara glared at the red bakugan, "If he's here to argue with us about…"
"Enough!" scolded Apollonir. "Let go of your blasted pride Uranus and see what could have happen to you – to your teammates if Serenity and Daniel didn't help!"
Amara gritted her teeth, "I could have beaten that daimon!"
Darien narrowed his eyes, "And what about the bakugan, Odin? He can't be beaten by any of your abilities. You're lucky that he can't turn to his true form in our world."
"We'll find a way," said Michelle. She crossed her arms, "Besides, it was our fault that the enemies are here so it's our task to redeem ourselves and defeat them."
"If you three follow that path – being reborn would go to waste!" shouted Apollonir, angrily. "I have my own guilt when Naga tried to gain the power of the Silent Core and the Infinity Core…there was no way the others and myself were able to defeat him…alone." He sighs, sadly, "I had to involve the child I view as a son, along with his past life siblings to defeat Naga."
"But they're children! They didn't have powers then!" argued Amara, angrily.
"Powers or not, Dan and his friends were able to overcome Naga by combining each other's strengths…just like Serena and her friends," explained Darien.
"Strength alone can't overcome your mission," started Apollonir. "Your powers and abilities may be powerful in the past and future but without balance, you're true strength will never come to light."
Amara crossed her arms while Michelle was frowning a bit. Trista closed her eyes and looked like she was thinking of her opinions. Amara was about to say something when Trista stopped her.
"I believe…I can see your point Lord Apollonir but what can we do if the enemy chooses to brawl against us? Will that mean…"
"Correct," said Apollonir. "The three of you would need your own bakugan partners."
Amara and Michelle widen their eyes.
-Tsukino's, night-
"Glad to know that Hotaru had fun with you," said Dan. "So what did you guys do at the arcade?"
Rini smiled, "Oh we played almost all of the games there! And she did great even though this was her first time being in an arcade."
"That's great to hear," said Serena as she was brushing Rini's pink hair. She smiled, "Hotaru seems to be a nice girl. I hope the two of you will become great friends with her."
Rini simply smiled before going to bed after Serena finished brushing her hair. Dan went to his room and stared at the night sky with an uneasy feeling. The brunette shook it off before heading to bed.
