It was after hours when the Go Go Computer Scientist and the Lab Coat Computer Scientist were able to check social media.
That was then the Go Go Computer Scientist saw it.
Jeff Tremaine, the Jackass Forever director, would be producing a documentary about crime at the Disney Parks. Which would cover the theft of Buzzy from the former Wonders of Life pavilion.
The Go Go Computer Scientist turned to the Lab Coat Computer Scientist. 'Have you seen this?' she asked.
'Seen what?' he asked.
'The Jackass guy. He's filming a documentary on crime in Disney,' she said.
He hummed. 'I guess we'd all be on our best behaviour.'
'It's going to focus on Buzzy's kidnapping.'
The Lab Coat Computer Scientist's hydraulic fluid ran cold.
When news first broke about Buzzy's kidnapping, the other EPCOT animatronics freaked out. If Buzzy could be kidnapped, so too could anyone else. And they never found out what happened to the poor kid either.
'It… as long as it brings awareness to the-the kidnapping,' he said. He didn't know what else to say. What else could he say?
The Go Go Computer Scientist nodded.
It was still extremely unsettling to think that the guy who kidnapped Buzzy was still out there. The guy who was arrested for stripping Buzzy of his clothing denied that he outright kidnapped Buzzy, and was currently serving jail time. Nobody could prove he kidnapped Buzzy.
So it was, understandably, a very sore topic for the other animatronics. It was taboo. The one thing nobody talked about.
'I hope it means they catch the person who did this,' she said.
If they did, it meant she and all the other Spaceship Earth animatronics, could live out what was likely to be some of them's final days without fear of kidnap.
Yes, the Jackass director is indeed making a documentary about Buzzy's theft! It will be called Stolen Kingdom: Bad Things Happen at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Hopefully it will lead to greater awareness of Buzzy's theft, and we can find out what happened to him.
