After about 6-7 months of waiting, heeeere's chapter 19!
:D
I'm so so sorry for not putting this up soon but I've been very busy lately and I haven't worked on stories in so long. I'll try to get back on it as soon as I can.
I have also taken a break from writing because I've been lacking some motivation lately. But I'll try to get back on it now that I have some free time.
Being a Creepypasta fan myself, I often thought how some of my favorite characters and even my OCs would react some to the stories. And with Vito being one of the tougher personas of Mike, I figured he'd be up for the challenge.
I'll try to update as often as I can but just be patient until I do, okay? And I want to thank my good friend, SailorMarble, for helping me like with the others. :) Thanks hon'!
Next Chapter: Mike has nightmares about losing his personalities again. Will the others help him?
Until next time, enjoy!
I don;t own Total Drama or it's characters.
Chapter 19: Creepypasta...O_O
It was a late stormy evening and since Mike couldn't hang with his friends, he napped most of the day and hung out with his personalities. None of them wanted to come out due to it being too boring so they stayed inside his mind and did their usual thing.
Vito was on the computer finding something to do and seeing what he could look up but nothing seemed interesting at the moment.
"Let's see. Cat fight videos? Nope. Top 10's? Boring." he kept looking until he found a website that caught his eye, "Whats this? Creepypasta?"
He clicked on it and the whole sight looked dark and spooky. The shirtless personality never knew about this until today, but Creepypasta was full of creepy stories, insane theories on shows, unsettling poetry, etc.
Vito clicks on a story and becomes interested, "This looks cool." He reads a couple and regrets it seeing how scary these stories were and how its also nighttime and raining, which makes it even worse.
"Man...this is some creepy stuff..." Suddenly, he heard thunder strikes and Vito jumps but calms down knowing that it's just thunder, "Calm down Vito. Calm down." he tried to reassure himself.
Despite being inside the mind of a teenager, loud sounds from the outside were not uncommon for everyone within, especially thunder. Vito tries to calm himself but when his brothers come behind him and open a bag of chips, he jumps.
"AHHH!" he screamed with Mike and Mal screaming in reply.
Once the boys had calmed down, Mal was the first to speak, "Sorry bro, we just wanted to know if you wanted a chip?"
Vito felt shaky and was in no mood for a snack, "Uh thanks, but I'm not hungry."
This shocked Mike and wondered if something was wrong, "Vito, these are your favorite. They're barbeque flavored."
"No thanks bro'." he said as he stood up, "In fact, I think I'm going to go to bed early. Night!" he leaves as Mike and Mal stare at each other.
"What's wrong with Vito?" Mal asked.
"I have no idea." Mike said in confusion, "He never refuses BBQ chips and he NEVER goes to bed early."
"Maybe the weather has gotten him down." Mike and Mal jumped and turned around to see Manitoba behind them, "I mean you know how rain makes you feel sleepy and droopy."
"Manny?" Mal said, "Where did you come from?"
"I just came in a minute ago." Manitoba answered, "Probably because its so dark in here you can't see a thing nor knew that I was behind you."
"Well, it's not that dark." Mike pointed out, "That lamp only holds so much light."
"Well, then sorry for scaring you lads." he rubbed the back of his head, "I saw Vito passing by and I was about to ask you if you guys know what's going on."
"Nope. Not us." Mal said.
"Not a clue but I'm sure it's nothing and he'll be fine in the morning." Mike said as well.
"Alright." Manitoba gave his brothers a firm pat on the back, "Come on, let's hit the hay as well."
"Sounds like a plan." Mike yawned with Mal doing the same, "Same here."
They walk back to their rooms and bid each other a good night, "Night Mani." the twin brothers said.
"Night!" he replied.
Everyone else sleeps but Vito is having trouble because of the nightmares he was having from the stories he read. He woke up and tried to lay back down, "Get some sleep, Vito. Get some sleep." he said to himself.
He tries to sleep but the stories come back to haunt him. Vito imagines himself being chased by monsters beyond imagination, getting killed by madmen, going completely insane, his family turning against him in a gruesome way, and all the stuff he read in those terrifying stories.
"AHH!" he screamed.
Vito wakes up in the middle of the night and feels his heart pounding like a drum and sweating like a dog at the same time.
"Stupid Dreams!" he pounded his blankets and trying hard not to cry.
Chester was checking on the others and heard Vito sounding upset, so he went inside right after Vito wiped his eyes.
"Vito, are you okay?" he asked softly.
Vito takes a deep breath before he answered, "Y-Yeah. I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Chester asked again.
Vito nods and hides being scared from Chester, who sits next to him and comforts him by patting his back. Being a grandfather figure, he can tell if the other personalities are sad or upset.
Vito faked a smile to try and reassure his grandfather, "Chester, I'm fine. I just can't sleep, that's all."
"Well okay." the old man sighed and rubbed Vito's back one last time, "If you need someone to talk to let me know."
"Okay. Thanks." Vito hugged Chester before he got up and left the room.
Vito tries to fall back asleep but he felt even more afraid of the nightmares and saw glimpses each time he had closed his eyes. The next morning, Vito has bags under his eyes from staying up all night, and looked slightly paranoid by the others.
"Morning big brother!" Svetlana greeted as she approached her brother and hugged him from behind.
Vito flinched a bit but still manages to give a smile, "H-Hey sis'."
Svetlana noticed that her brother did not seem like himself and felt concerned, "Are you alright, dear? You don't look too well. Are you sick?"
"N-No, the storm keep me up all night." he answered as he looked down, "I-I'll be alright."
"Are you sure?" she asked.
"Y-yeah." Vito looked up and nodded, "I'll try to catch up on some sleep later."
"Well alright." his sister gave him a light hug, "Let me know if you need anything."
"O-Okay."
After he joined his family for breakfast, Vito goes back to his room to be alone. Before he did, though, he was quiet all through breakfast and everyone started to ask but when Svetlana explained that he was tired, they all backed off.
"Okay, I should be fine now." Vito said as he was laying on his bed again, "I should be fine.
But as he fell asleep, another nightmare came causing Vito to jolt awake and tears formed in his eyes.
"Ah!" he yelped as he woke up. He wipes the tears when he heard someone knocking on his door, "Uh, c-come in!" he said as calmly as he could.
Svetlana opened the door and looked at her brother with deep concern, "Vito is everything alright?"
"Y-Yeah sis!" Vito tried to act casual, "I'm fine. Why?"
"Well I thought I heard you scream, so I had to check if it was you before I go to the others." she said as she sat next to Vito.
"I-I wasn't screaming! I'm fine!" he shook his head and turned away.
The gymnast only sighed and stood up, " Okay. I guess I'll talk to you later."
"Yeah. Later."
After Svetlana leaves, Vito runs to the bathroom and splashes cold water on his face to calm himself, "Get a grip, dude! They're just stupid stories! You're getting yourself worked up over nothing!"
After taking a few deep breaths and decided to sit down with his family and watch TV while trying to keep his cool and relax.
Mal struggled to get the bag opened and when it finally did, the bag made a loud popping noise.
POP!
"AHHH" Vito jumped out of his seat.
Mal turned around and saw his brother sitting on the floor, looking absolutely freaked out. The shirtless personality stood up, brushed himself off, and glared at his brother.
"Don't you freakin' do that!" he yelled while holding his heart, "Jeez, you almost gave me a heart attack!"
"Sorry." Mal shrugged, "What's got you so freaked out anyway?"
Mike looked over and noticed that his brother looked uneasy and shaky, "Are you okay, bro'?"
"Y-Yeah bro! Never better!" replied Vito as he faked a smile.
"Are you sure?" he asked with Vito nodding and smiling nervously, "Well, okay then."
Vito sighed to himself as he tries to relax and watch some more television. But when Mike gives his brother a hug, Vito pulls away rather abruptly.
"Uh...what was that for?" he asked.
"It's to comfort you." Mike said as he looked at Vito with hurt eyes.
Vito only scoffed as he crossed his arms and looked away, "I told you, I'm fine. I don't need any comfort from anybody."
"Okay then..." feeling hurt that his brother doesn't want his help, Mike walks to his room to be alone.
"What did you do that for?" Mal scolded Vito.
"He vas only trying to help, big brother." Svetlana added.
Being upset already, Vito stood up and glared at the others, "Look, everyone just leave me alone! Okay?!" he runs to his room and slams the door.
The others stare at each other in silence for a moment or two before Mal broke it, "I know Vito is not fine."
"Yep." Manitoba nodded in agreement, "He's more wily than a dingo on a hunger strike."
"Come on." Mal stood up, "Let's go to him and try to cheer him up."
The others followed him to Vito's room, where said personality was freaking out and trying not to have an anxiety attack.
"I need to chill out." he said to himself as he paced the floor," But how can I be so calm when those stupid stories keep popping in my head?! I wish they would go away!"
He stopped when the others came into his room, "Ey yo! What are you guys doing here?" Vito asked.
"We came to check up on you, bro." Mal answered and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Why?"
"We overheard you talking to yourself and-" Chester began before he was interrupted.
"Overheard what? I never said anything!" Vito lied.
"Don't try to hide it, mate. we know." Manitoba said.
Vito knew his family was getting suspicious and tried his very best to hide it, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Vito..." his little sister tried to reach out only for him to turn away from everyone.
Svetlana tried to talk to him again, "Vito, talk to us."
"There's nothing to talk about." he said.
"Vito! Tell us!" she raised her voice a little.
"I said no!" the tougher personality began to tear up, "Why can't you guys just drop it and leave me alone?!"
"Vito, you need to talk to us! We're only trying to help you!" Manitoba tried to give his brother a comforting hug only to be pushed away, " Would you stop it! I'm fine!"
At this point Manitoba was fed up with Vito constantly pushing everyone away and denying the fact that he needs help, "Stop pushing us away! You're being very rude and stubborn to us because we're only trying to help you! You need to grow up!'
Feeling that he's about to cry, Vito, quickly, ran out of his room in tears as everyone else frowns. Manitoba felt guilty for snapping at his younger brother and follows Vito with the rest of his family doing the same but not before getting Mike to join them. Once they explained what happened, Mike knew that he was needed to try and help his brother if possible.
Minutes later, Vito is hiding deep in the storage room with his knees up to his chest and struggling to keep the tears from falling out his eyes.
"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" he berated himself, "Why can't I just admit that I'm scared?!"
He had to shut himself up when he heard a voice call out his name, "Vito?" Mal called out.
Vito keeps quiet because he doesn't want to be found and stays hidden waits for a way out.
"Vito, we know you're in here." Manitoba said in a said voice as he searched, "I-I'm sorry for what I said back there and I didn't mean it.
As soon as they were away from the door, Vito runs out, goes back to his room, and locks the door. They others turned to hear him dash out and a door slam, "What's going on with Vito!" Mal said slightly irritated.
Mike only shrugged. "I don't know but he's acting very strange since last night."
"We're trying to talk to him but nothing works." Svetlana only sighed heavily, "He keeps feeling upset about something and he won't tell us!"
"Well he has to tell us sooner or later." Mike said, "He can't keep it in much longer."
"So, where did he go this time?" Chester asked.
"Probably back to his room. Let's go!" Mal ran out.
They go to his room only to find his door locked, "Vito! Let us in!" Mike yelled.
On the other side, Vito was on his knees crying on the edge of his bed. When he came back, he was tired after what happened and just collapsed next to his bed in tears. Not only he felt ashamed of himself for being scared of some stories he read online, but he was guilty for pushing away his family and not telling them anything when they tried to help him.
"G-Go away!" he cried.
"Let us in!"
"Why can't you just leave me alone?!" Vito sobbed even more, "Why doesn't anyone listen to me?!"
"We don't want you in pain." Mal spoke up, "So please, let us help you."
Vito says nothing and sobs harder. The siblings and grandfather grew more and more concerned until Manitoba had an idea, "Hang on! Be right back!"
He went to the kitchen, looks through a drawer, comes back with a paper clip, untwists it, and uses it to unlock Vito's door. Their hearts were filled in sadness to see Vito in much sadness and distress but they have to try and comfort him.
Mike knelt down beside him and rubbed his back, "Vito, are you okay?"
Vito buries his face in his bed even further, "No I'm not alright!"
"Would you like too talk about it?" he asked
"No!" Vito shouted without lifting his head, "I don't want to talk about it, so leave me alone!"
Mike felt like they were back to square one and felt it was hopeless trying to get anything out of Vito. He thought of giving up and leaving Vito to be alone until Manitoba joined them and offered some comfort.
"Vito, listen to me." he said in a comforting voice as Vito looked up, "I'm sorry for the way I acted and wished I could take it back. I just don't like seeing my brother in so much pain, so please tell us what's bugging you."
"I can't...I can't..." Vitos eyes began to fill up and looked away from the others in shame.
"Vito please." Svetlana said sadly, "Ve don't like to see you like this. Please, tell us vhat's wrong?"
He wiped his eyes for a moment, "You'll think it's stupid." he cried, "You'll think I'm a coward!"
"Your not a coward," Svetlana said, "Why do you think that?"
"Because I'm scared okay?!" he sniffled, "I keep having nightmares every night!"
"How did you get them, sonny?" Chester asked.
Not wanting to hide it anymore, Vito gets up, sits on his bed, and tells them the truth about the creepy stories he read last night. No one expected the tough and fearless personality to be so scared by some creepy fiction stories so easily.
"Vito, why didn't you tell us before?" Mike sat next to him and placed an arm around him.
"Mike, look at me!" Vito pointed at himself, "I've been feeling scared like a little kid and crying like a baby!"
That's when Mike hugs his brother and rubs his back. Vito tries to pull away only for Mike to hug him tighter.
"We don't like seeing you like this." Mal added, "You have to let us help you get through this."
Having had enough of his fears and his pointless denial over it, Vito gives up and hugs Mike back as he sobs, "I'm so ashamed..."
"You don't have to be ashamed." the Australian explorer rubbed his head.
Vito just sobbed into Mikes shoulder, "I kept pushing you all away...and all because I was scared!"
Svetlana and Manitoba hug their brother as Chester and Mal smile knowing Vito is finally letting his family help.
"W-Why are you guys helping me like this?" he sniffled again, "I thought you would all laugh at me or hate me or something."
"Well you were in pain." Mike explained, "We won't laugh at anyone in pain and we will never hate you no matter what."
"Just calm down, son." Chester rubbed Vito's head.
Vito sobs a bit more as everyone hugs him, "Oh Vito. It's okay. We're here, bro'. Just relax mate." everyone said to comfort him.
"Don't cry darling." Svetalana soothed him, "It will be okay, I promise."
"We're here, we're right here." Chester said as he hugged and rubbed his hair, "There there, its okay."
After a while of crying and consoling, Vito finally starts to calm down, "That's it, take it easy. You're okay."
Chester helps rub Vitos back while he starts taking deep breaths to calm himself.
"Feeling better now?" Svetlana asked.
Vito nods and wipes his eyes, "Mm-hm."
"Good. There ya go, mate." his sibling said.
Vito gave out a sigh and apologized to everyone, "Sorry I kept my fear hidden from you guys."
"Hey, it's okay." Mike smiled, "You just didn't know what to do."
"I know, I know. But I read those scary stories, tried to avoid everyone, and acted like a big baby." he looked down.
"You're not a baby, dude." Mal gave a pat on the back, "You may be a few things, but the last thing you are is a baby."
"Really?" he asked as everyone nods. Vito gives a small smile and gives his family a big group hug.
"Just promise us you'll let us help you the next time this happens." Mike asked and Vito gave a nod meaning he promised, "Good."
"And if you ever read those stories again, you won't be alone this time." Mal added, "We'll be there if you ever get scared again."
"But maybe you should avoid them for right now." Svetlana gave a suggestion.
"Right!" Vito laughed sheepishly.
"Well, I don't know about you whippersnappers but I say all this comforting and stuff has worked my appetite." Chester said as he rubbed his stomach, "Who's hungry?"
"We are!" his granddkids said at once.
Everyone goes to have dinner and everything was back to normal. Later that night after everyone went to bed, Vito had better sleep for this first time since his nightmares began. And when Chester came to check on him, he saw Vito smile in his sleep which made him smile too.
"Goodnight Vito." Chester pats his head and tucks him in.
Vito smiles and continues to sleep as Chester smiles back and heads for bed himself. The moral here? If you're truly scared of something or a fear is overtaking your life or sense of mind, you shouldn't hide it. When your comfortable, you should let your family or closest friends know and they'll help you in any way they can. Vito had to learn that the hard way and yet, he had never felt better afterwards.
