Chapter 2: Hello There

In the medical bay at Beacon Academy, we could see Shirou sleeping peacefully with multiple bandages covering his body. And to be more specific it was his arms and his chest that were bandaged, as Miyu was seating there waiting for him to wake up. For she had a new set of clothes which were a purple shirt and black pants given to her by Professor Goodwitch.

And while she sat there, she was looking at her brother's condition with a frown. This was because she blamed herself for the state he is in since she knows that he must have fought many enemies to save her. This made her grip her fists in self-anger, as tears started forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, Onii-chan for everything..." She muttered while looking down.

Soon as she said that, she heard someone knock on the infirmary door.

"Knock, knock."

This gained her attention, which caused her to look at the door. She then spoke out.

"You can come in!"

After she said that, the door opened which revealed Weiss who was holding a tray filled with food, however she could not tell what kind.

"Hello, and if you do not mind, I brought some food." Said Weiss as she had a gentle smile.

Miyu simply nodded at her with a gentle look, since she knows that Weiss was a good person due to how she and the others treated her after she arrived at Beacon over three hours ago. She then saw how Weiss let out a relieved breath, as she then walked toward her and put the tray on the nightstand. Where she saw that the tray was filled with sandwiches and she then saw Weiss give her a sandwich.

"I know that it isn't a lot, but I hope that you don't mind eating this." Said Weiss with a nervous look.

"No, it's okay." Said Miyu with a small smile, which caused Weiss to have a relieved look.

"Thank goodness."

After she said that they both remained silent as Miyu started eating her sandwich since they both did not know what to say to the other. For Miyu, it was because it was the first time that she was with someone that wasn't her brother or to try to manipulate her. And for Weiss, it was because she did not know how to interact with children at all. This caused an awkward silence to fall upon them as they both did not know what to discuss.

Weiss then decided to look at Miyu's brother's sleeping form, simply because she was curious about how he looked without the blood and grime on him. And she was pleasantly surprised by his appearance.

Auburn hair with a white streak, white skin with a weird tan line on his face, and from the looks of it, he was also her age. Overall he looked exotic, but also unique at the same time which made him interesting in her eyes. But not in a romantic way, he was simply interesting. This then made her realize that she did not know which part of the kingdom they were from, and from their looks, they must be from Mistral. However, she knew that it would be best if she confirmed this. So with that, she looked at Miyu who was finishing her sandwich and asked her.

"Excuse me Miyu, but if you don't mind me asking. Are you two from Mistral?"

Miyu stopped eating when she heard Weiss's question, and she simply looked at her with a serious gaze which surprised the young heiress. Since she could not believe that a young child like her would have that look, alas she could not continue with her thought as Miyu spoke.

"No, we are not. We're from Japan"

"Japan?" Said Weiss to herself since she's never heard of that place before. Seeing her confusion Miyu decided to clear her confusion.

"It is a place far from here."

This made Weiss have an understanding look since she knows that there are many settlements outside of the four Kingdoms. She then looked at Shirou for a moment as she was impressed that someone outside of the Kingdoms was this powerful, she also had another thought which caused her gaze to soften.

Seeing this Miyu lifted an eyebrow since she did not understand the look that Weiss was giving toward her brother, but she could say anything as Weiss decided to speak first.

"You know it's incredible how much he cares for you."

This made Miyu give her a confused glance, as she asked.

"What do you mean?"

Weiss simply had a tired smile as she answered the young girl's question, as she thought about her own family.

"You see, not a lot of families out there would fight to protect each other. Since many would only think of themselves, and not of others. And seeing how your brother fought especially in the condition he was in when he was buying you time. This means that he truly loves you, even at the expense of his life if it means that you can live. Well, that's what I think basing it on what happened in the forest."

After she finished her explanation, she noticed how Miyu was looking down with a guilty expression, to the point where she now had tears in her eyes. This shocked the heiress since did not understand what was happening, but that was only for a moment as she heard Miyu saying something that shocked her.

"This is my fault. If only Onii-chan didn't save me, then he wouldn't have."

As Miyu was going to continue, she suddenly felt that someone was hugging her. She then looked up and saw that Weiss was the one who was hugging her, with a sad look on her face. This confused the girl, alas she could not say anything as Weiss spoke in a scolding tone, but was mixed with sadness.

"Don't continue that sentence."

At her words, Miyu could only look at her with wide eyes for a moment. But it was only for a moment as she then had an angered look.

"No, it's the truth! If Onii-chan hadn't fought to save me then he wouldn't have been in this condition!"

She shouted at the young heiress, but Weiss did not become angered by the young girls shouting. Since she understood why she was like this, so with a calm voice she spoke.

"If you say that this was your fault, then why would he protect you as he did?"

Miyu could only remain quiet at Weiss's question, as she did not have an answer for it. After all, why?

Why would he save, and protect her in the first place? That was the question in her mind right now. After all, she could not understand it, even though she remembers what he told her in the cavern, she still could not understand the reason why behind his actions.

And as she was thinking of this, Weiss decided to speak which interrupted her thoughts.

"I do not know what happened to the two of you, but I do know this. He would not hesitate to do it again if it means that you are safe since he loves you greatly from what I saw. That and your brother would not be happy if he woke up right now and heard you right now speaking that way to yourself."

Miyu could only look at her in surprise as she once again thought over what Weiss just said. This remained like this for a few moments, and during this time it made Weiss nervous about what the girl would say. However much to her surprise, Miyu started crying as she muttered with a small smile.

"Your right, Onii-chan would not like that at all."

This made Weiss have a gentle look, as she continued hugging Miyu with a gentleness that she never knew she had. Then Miyu hugged her back while crying on her chest while feeling grateful for her words.

They remained like this for a few moments, until they heard that the bed started moving, which gained their attention immediately. As they saw how Shirou was moving a bit until they saw how he started opening his eyes slowly.

Weiss then saw how the same golden eyes that Miyu had was on the young man's face which made her earlier comment about his exotic look, seem more true than ever. She then saw how he looked around the room for a moment with an analytical look, until his eyes landed on them, and then they widened significantly when he looked at Miyu.

"Miyu..." He muttered but it was heard by them as Miyu started crying and she then said in a shaky tone.

"Onii-chan...?"

After hearing her, Miyu and Weiss saw how Shirou let out a relieved breath as he visibly relaxed before then saying.

"So it wasn't a dream then."

At this Miyu couldn't hold in any longer as she then separated from Weiss and launched herself at Shirou as she shouted.

"ONII-CHAN!"

Seeing how she launched herself at him, Shirou rapidly caught her, and then she hugged him with all the strength that she had while crying on his chest in joy. While Shirou simply had a small smile as he gently hugged her back, and it was at that moment that he noticed Weiss was in the room, and that she was giving him a gentle smile.

At first glance, he would admit that this young woman was beautiful. White porcelain skin, white hair styled in an off-center ponytail with a silver icicle-shaped tiara pinned to it, pale blue eyes with a scar on her left eye that runs down her face. Overall if he was the old Shirou Emiya, then he would have blushed at her beauty, alas now was not the case after fighting in the war and allowing him to possess his body during that time.

This allowed him to acquire some traits from him, including his analytical mindset. So with that, his eyes hardened like the veteran that he was, which from his view shocked Weiss from the look on her face. But he did not say anything as he simply looked at her trying to assess her motives for being here.

While Weiss simply looked at him in shock, as she felt a sense of fear from the look he was giving her. Because it wasn't a normal look from a young man, no, it was the look of a man who has fought many battles, and who does not trust her at all.

By this, she realized that she needed to thread carefully with him since she doesn't know what he could do if provoked. So she decided to talk calmly with him, to not provoke him at all.

"Hello my name is Weiss Schnee, and from what Miyu told me your name is Shirou, correct?"

Shirou simply remained quiet, as he scolded Miyu in his head for telling his name to someone that they don't know, nor do they know their intentions with them. However, he also noticed that she was trying to calm him down, and this told him that she might not be someone with vile intentions. Still, that does not mean that he trust's her but since she already knows his name he might as well answer her.

"Yes, that is my name."

This made her become calm which he noticed, which confirmed his previous thought, as then she spoke once again.

"Good. Now if you do not mind, can you wait here until I bring the Head Master of the school so that he can speak to you?" She asked, hoping that he might agree.

Shirou thought over what she said, and he decided much to his chagrin to accept what she said. Since if his memories were correct, before going unconscious he fought against creatures that should not have existed in his world. Which told him that he might be in another world, so to know more about this world he needed information.

So with that, he nodded at her which caused her to let out a gentle smile as she spoke once again.

"Thank you, know please wait here until he comes by."

At this, she stood up and walked to the door, and exited the room. Leaving Shirou and Miyu, while the girl still hugged her brother, and it was here that he noticed that she finally fell asleep. Possibly due to exhaustion than anything else something that he did not mind as he laid her in the bed so that she could get some rest.

He then got up and examined his body, it was here that he saw that he was covered in bandages especially his chest since it was completely covered. He also checked to see if someone did not put a microphone on him to eavesdrop on his conversation with Weiss, which thankfully there was none.

As he finished examining his body he looked outside through the mirror that was in the room, where he saw the entire school, and as he looked outside he had a singular thought in his head.

"Let's see what this world has in store for us. But no matter what happens, I will still fulfill my oath no matter what comes our way."

As Weiss was walking through the corridors of Beacon she thought over what happened before, and after she went inside the infirmary and met the Emiya siblings.

Originally she decided to bring them food because she did not want to be near her new team. Or to be more specific near her new team "leader", Ruby Rose. Since she believed that she was robbed of that position, even though she had the greatest aptitude to be a leader due to her upbringing.

But before she went there, Professor Ozpin asked her team, and team JNPR to meet with him in his office. They immediately agreed, and they then followed him and Professor Goodwitch to his office where they discussed about the Emiya sibling's situation.

Her team and Pyrrha were asked to recount everything that had occurred when they found them. They all told them what happened in detail, and after that, both professors remained quiet as then Ozpin asked Ruby if she saw anything strange when she saw him fighting the Beowulves. She answered no, even though they were confused by that question, however, he did not explain himself as he then looked at the clock and noticed that it was already noon.

He then suggested bringing Miyu some lunch, since she might get hungry. So seeing this opportunity to not be near her teammates, Weiss volunteered to bring the food. Which surprised everyone there, but she ignored it as Ozpin let out a gentle smile and accepted. After which she only waited for a few minutes until one of the staff brought some sandwiches on a tray, and she then took it and went to the infirmary.

And it was here where she had the most shocking interactions that she has had thus far in her life. After all, she never thought she would need to comfort someone who was blaming themselves.

To be frank, she did not know what compelled her to comfort Miyu. Maybe it was because she was a child who needed help, or maybe because she saw herself in her when she was younger when she would blame herself for her mother's depression even if it was her father's fault. She did not know, however, what she did know was that these two siblings truly do care for each other.

That display of affection from the two of them, reminded her a bit of her relationship with her own elder sister.

Winter Schnee, the eldest daughter of the Schnee family, and a member of the Special Operatives Unit in the Atlas Army. A serious woman who would treat her coldly almost robotically in front of other people. But, she knows that it was only an act since her sister has proven many times before that she truly does care for her well-being, in her own way of course.

Still, the reason why she thought of her sister was because of the look that Miyu's older brother had when he saw her. It was a look that she knows will be in her memory forever because of how cold it was, and while yes she has seen cold looks from some of the aristocrats at Atlas, or by her sister. But his, his were that of a machine ready to kill at any given moment.

It honestly made her feel scared of what he might do if she was an enemy, however thanks to her sister's training. She managed to put on a good act, of being calm while she spoke with him in a way to not provoke him. Thankfully she managed to do, which then lead her to excuse herself to look for Headmaster Ozpin.

After she closed the door, she remained still for a moment until fell to the ground while breathing heavily for she felt like she escaped death. She was in shock for she never felt that much pressure from anyone, even from her sister. Which then begged the question.

How much did he suffer to have those eyes?

That is the question that has been cursing through her mind, ever since she went to find Ozpin. After all, no one who has the same age as her could have those eyes, if they had a normal life before coming here. This meant that he must have seen hell, but it must have been something to force him to protect his sister.

"If so then, what type of hell did he see to mold him into what he is now?"

She asked herself since this young man called Shirou Emiya was an enigma to her. But before she could continue with her thoughts a voice called out to her in the hallway.

"Miss Schnee are you okay?"

This caught her by surprise since she did not expect to see the Headmaster there, alongside Professor Goodwitch, her teammates, and team JNPR giving her a worried look. She was confused by this, but she did not show as she spoke.

"Yes, I am fine Headmaster, and if I may why do you ask?"

After she said that, she saw how all of them had surprised looks which confused her since she did not understand what was wrong. However, before she could ask Headmaster Ozpin spoke in a gentle tone.

"Don't worry it's nothing, Miss Schnee. Also, you don't need to call me Headmaster since I consider myself more a teacher than a principal to be honest."

Weiss could only nod at what he said, even though a part of her was shocked by his calm demeanor. Alas, it was outweighed by what she originally wanted to talk with him about.

"Professor Ozpin, the young man that we saved is already awake."

When they heard her, they all had wide eyes for a moment until they changed into relieved looks, as Professor Ozpin once again spoke.

"That is grand news indeed."

But surprisingly, Weiss did not feel the same which was noticed by everyone there as they saw that she had a serious look. However, before they could question her, she spoke seriously.

"Sir, there is something that you need to know before I bring you there."

Seeing his student's look, told him that what she wanted to say was something that needed his attention immediately. So with that said he nodded at her so that she could continue. Something that Weiss appreciated as she spoke.

"When you talk to him, please don't provoke him."

This caught everyone off-guard since they did not expect to hear that from her. But both Ozpin and Glynda regained their barrings, as then Glynda spoke out in a confused tone.

"Miss Schnee, what do you mean by that?"

Weiss could only remain quiet as she heard Professor Goodwitch's question since she thought about how to reply, it was only a few seconds later that she got her answer.

"He has seen hell."

Once again this caught everyone off-guard, after all, they never expected to hear that from the young heiress. They all remained quiet as Ozpin, and Glynda looked at each other with worried looks at the young man's mental state, but then Ruby spoke out.

"Weiss, how do you know that?"

Even though she did not want to hear her new team leader's voice. Weiss decided to answer her question since it was a valid one.

"It was his eyes."

This confused everyone since they did not understand her, but Pyrrha spoke out their confusion.

"His eyes?"

Weiss could only let out a breath since she did not want to explain but she knew that she had to clear their confusion now. So that they don't have the same reaction as she did when she saw them.

"Even though he has the same age as us, his eyes tell another story. They were ones not found in a normal teenager, it was those of a warrior who has fought many battles to protect something that he cares about."

When Weiss finished talking, she noticed that everyone remained quiet while looking with astonished looks. Something that she can understand since she also felt the same, because even she could not believe what she just said.

And out of all of them, the one who spoke up first was her teammate Blake who had a curious look.

"I can understand why you would say that about his eyes, but how do you know that he protected someone?"

This made everyone give a curious glance as well, but Weiss replied confidently after remembering Shirou's display of affection toward his sister.

"Because when he first saw his sister he became relieved. That told me that something must have happened that made Miyu's life in peril. And I'm basing my theory on what Ruby told us before he fell unconscious."

After she finished explaining they all seemed convinced by her words, as then Ozpin spoke.

"Thank you Miss Schnee for telling this to us. But, I believe that we have made our guest wait a bit too long. Wouldn't you all agree?"

They all nodded at him, and they all then followed Weiss to the infirmary. After a while of walking, they finally arrived where there Weiss knocked on the door they all then heard a serious voice.

"You can come in."

While the students have nervous looks, Ozpin, and Glynda simply remained quiet, while Weiss opened the door. And after she did they saw that Miyu was sleeping peacefully on the bed that they knew that Shirou was in. While the young man himself had his back to them as he was looking outside the window. But it was only for a moment, as he then turned around and it was there that they all confirmed what Weiss told them.

For he was looking at them, with a warrior's gaze that would not hesitate to kill them if they were a threat. This made the students have frightened looks, even Glynda was among them since she never expected that type of look from a child before.

However, Ozpin did not seem fazed by the glare that the young man was giving him. No, he simply smiled at the young man as he said.

"Well, hello there Shirou Emiya. My name is Ozpin the Headmaster of this school."

Even after hearing him, Shirou did not speak at all. He simply stared at Ozpin, this made everyone feel nervous that something bad might happen. However, Ozpin once again did not seem fazed by the young man's visible hostility as he continued to speak.

"Now I know that you might have questions, so please let us converse as civilized people."

Once again everyone looked at the young man who still had a stone-like expression, hoping that he would pick the correct decision. They were like this for a few seconds, which for them felt more like an hour until Shirou decided to speak.

"Okay, we'll talk."

This made everyone visibly relax thanking anyone out there that they did not need to fight him, while Ozpin simply chuckled.

"Splendid. Now everyone except for Glynda please exit the room, and go to your rooms for this is a private manner." Instructed Ozpin as everyone nodded at him, as they all then exited the room.

However as everyone left, Shirou noticed that Weiss looked back at him for a moment until she also left the room.

After everyone left, silence descended on the room as no one spoke. As the only sound that could be heard was Miyu's breathing as she slept. Ozpin seeing that no one was going to speak, he decided to start this conversation with a small smile.

"Now that we're alone, let's have this meeting Shirou Emiya."

While Shirou narrowed his eyes waiting to see what they were going to discuss in this meeting.

Hello there everyone! Sorry for not updating this earlier, I was just finding a way to make this story interesting so it took a bit of time to figure things out. Still, I do hope that you all enjoyed this also I reviewed the past chapter so it should be better, but if not please notify me. And look out for a few hours since Home will also be updated today as well.

Also, I know that you all noticed that I deleted my Fate x DXD story. Well the reason behind that, is that I want to create a better version of the story with a depressed Shirou who has lost everything but will, later on, regain what he lost and even more. So if you all like that idea please tell me.
