I raised my head blinking to wake myself up and at my side, one arm still draped across my back, Narumi mumbles something I don't catch. "Narumi, I think we should get up soon." I whispered and he groaned, scrunching his eyes shut. "Come on, Narumi. We can't stay in bed forever unless you want your clients to speak to you while you're buck naked" I told him and he sighed as I climbed to my feet.

As soon as he sat he blinked watching on with a faint smile as I reached for my discarded clothing. When I heard a whistle I rolled my eyes pulling my bra and underpants on even with Narumi's eyes travelling my naked body.

When I reach for my shirt his hand darts out and I find Narumi now holding on edge of my shirt his lips curled into a grin when I narrow my eyes at him. "Narumi, I need to get dressed because I am not wandering around naked." I protested, immediately blushing when Narumi gave me a slow smile leaning in close enough to kiss me. While I'm distracted he snatched the shirt from me, tossing it over his arm and I blink back at him my cheeks flushed from the kiss when we break apart.

"Jean, I wouldn't mind." He pointed out and I roll my eyes at him climbing to my feet. Giving me that same smirk Narumi straightened still holding my shirt hostage and as I reach for it he doesn't resist allowing me to take it from his arm. Though once I managed to pull it on over my arms he stepped forward and I bit back a gasp as his arms encircle my waist, his lips finding my left earlobe.

"Narumi, someone's going to hear us." I hissed at him but Narumi doesn't care and I find myself unable to move when he caught my earlobe between his teeth, nibbling on it and I lean back against his bare chest. "Oh well. I guess if Raidou gets back soon and sees us both naked you won't mind." I pointed out and Narumi froze looking down at himself then me and I sniggered as he gently released me moving back to his discarded clothes.

"I suppose I could let you get dressed, Jean." Narumi finally agreed though he didn't leave right away too busy watching me with a faint smile as I resume dressing. I nearly forgot he was in the room until I heard a low whistle and I rolled my eyes, buttoning my shirt before I turned to see him standing there in just his underwear.

"Narumi, are you going to spend the day in your boxers?" I asked with a grin and he finally blinked at me as I strolled over to him planting a light kiss on his cheek. Shaking my head I wandered out of the room leaving my boyfriend with the job of actually getting dressed. I had barely sat on the edge of the couch when I heard footsteps and I turned my head giving Narumi an amused smile as he emerged from the doorway dressed and with a smile on his lips.

"Ready to find your summoner?" Narumi asked only to see my smile fade and he sighed crossing the room until he was kneeling in front of me. "Babe, I know you don't like it but we have to stop him."

"He's caused so much trouble especially to me. You're right, Narumi I should be out there stopping him." I agreed and he nodded, kissing my forehead. "I wonder where Lilim flew off to?" I whispered, leaning in close when Narumi couldn't resist kissing me until we both heard a giggle and Narumi raised his head with a sigh his eyes narrowed as he searched the room for the source of the noise.

"Jean, your boyfriend's mad at me isn't he?" Lilim muttered and I sighed, waving her over so that she was hovering behind my shoulder.

"Narumi, calm down okay? Lilim doesn't like it when you keep glaring at her like that." I told Narumi who blinked at me glancing past my shoulder in an effort to see my demon. "She's near my left shoulder, Narumi but that's besides the point."

"Sorry, babe. Just wanted some alone time with you." Narumi apologized and Lilim crossed her arms rolling her eyes at my boyfriend as he climbed to his feet.

"Lilim, is something wrong? You were staring out of the window." I asked my demon and she blinked quickly leaning down before she whispered something into my ear and I climbed from the couch nearly bumping into Narumi in my rush to reach Narumi's bedroom only to remember halfway down the hall that I'd left them in the desk for safe-keeping. As I rushed back to the office Narumi followed staring at me as I raced around the office, pulling open the drawer before I grabbed the tubes containing my demons.

"Jean, what's the matter?" Narumi asked but I barely even noticed as I slipped the tubes into my jacket pocket though as I started to hurry towards the front door he blocked my path and I blinked up at him. "Jean, just slow down and tell me what's going on?" He asked in a steady voice and after I took a deep breath I shook my head.

"Lilim told me that Raidou and Gouto found Haruki Rokurou." I explained and Narumi sighed, running a hand through his hair before he set his hand down on my shoulder. "Narumi, I promised I'd stop him for hurting anyone else so you have to trust me."

"Alright, Jean but just make sure you come back to me in one piece." Narumi fianlly answered and I nodded, standing on my toes and he smiled at me when I planted a quick kiss on his lips. As I disappeared out the door Narumi felt a cold chill run down his spine and he frowned staring at the door for several seconds until he shook his head deciding that working on the newest case file might take his mind away from Jean.

As the hours went by Narumi frowned noting that he'd barely typed a paragraph and he sighed, taking a sip of his coffee only to grimace when he realized it had turned cold. Shaking his head he stood up from his desk cup in hand as he started to walk towards the kitchen though he had barely set his cup down in the sink when he heard the door to his office opening.

"You took your time getting back, Jean." Narumi joked turning around only to freeze when he saw me leaning on Raidou's shoulder and as I limped into the office he saw the blood that stained the left side of my stomach. Rushing over he wrapped an arm around my shoulders and I bit my lip as he helped walk me the rest of the way to the couch.

"Raidou, what happened?" Narumi asked once he helped me sit on the couch and I let out a breath as Gouto leapt onto the desk, shaking his head before he looked at Raidou.

"Haruki Rokurou didn't know that we'd snuck up on him but when Jean showed up he attacked her first, sending his demons after her. Jean barely had time to summon Fenrir before he threw everything he had at her. I tried to help her, Narumi but Haruki sent his demon Okuninushi to block me." Raidou explained trying not to meet Narumi's eyes when the detective narrowed his eyes his attention moving to me when I whimpered holding my hand against my side.

"Jean, it's okay. Just breathe while I check your injury." Narumi soothed his fingers moving to the bloodstain until I whimpered, pulling away and he sighed. "I know it hurts but I need to dress your wound." He inisted and I finally nodded after several seconds of staring into his amber eyes, feeling embarrassed and he shook his head at me.

"It really hurts, Narumi." I whspered and he nodded at me gently unbuttoning my shirt and Raidou looked away to give me some privacy before he started to walk towards his bedroom. "Raidou, it was my fault that Haruki saw us. He wouldn't have if I hadn't been so loud."

"Jean, you made a mistake but something tells me that he knew we were there. His demon Kurama Tengu was watching out for us the whole time." Raidou explained, hearing me panting as Narumi lifted my shirt to reveal several claw marks across my abodomen.

"It's going to be fine, Jean. Just had to make yourself look tougher with these scars huh?" Narumi joked and I sighed, lowering my head as he touched the blood with his fingers and I gasped trembling. "Okay I'll get you something else to wear and some bandages. Raidou, do you think you could get me that bucket in the laundry and fill it with hot water?" He asked smiling despite how seriously I was shaking as Raidou nodded heading towards the laundry. He returned with the bucket trying not to spill the water on the floor and after he set it down he handed Narumi a cloth which he took with a grateful smile.

"J...just take your time, Narumi." I mumbled as my shoulders trembled, the pain in my side the only thing keeping me awake as Narumi dunked the cloth in the water.

"Okay so just relax." Narumi told me and I barely managed a weak nod before he gently pressed the cloth against my side. I immediately cried out and he leaned close kissing the top of my head as I trembled. "I know it hurts but I need to make sure there's nothing trapped in the wound. Just let me know if I'm too rough."

"Y...yeah." I whispered and he smiled at me, kissing my cheek before he started to clean my side listening carefully whenever I whined but as he cleaned I rested my head on his shoulder. Narumi looked up after he'd finished dumping the bloodied cloth in the bucket finding my eyes on him and my lower lip quivering. "Th..thank you." I managed and he just cracked a grin reaching up before he stroked my forehead.

"You're more than welcome, Jean. Now let's see if you need stitches." He told me and I nodded, exhaustion hitting me as he straightened. Raidou took the bucket away dumping the water down the bathroom sink and after washing the cloth he returned to find Narumi kneeling beside me bandages sitting on the couch beside me and as he watched on wih a tiny smile he noted how gentle Narumi was being.

"No stitches huh?" I joked, trying not to let on how sore I was and Narumi nodded unwinding a roll of bandages and as he slowly wrapped it around my cuts I drew in a breath. "Sorry just a little sore." I apologized and he lifted his head for a moment giving me a tiny smile before he resumed wrapping my side. After two rolls of bandages Narumi nodded to himself pleased with his work until I let out a groan, fighting to keep my eyes open.

"Hang on, Jean. I'll get you something to sleep on." Narumi insisted and I yawned, blinking when he gave my shoulder a pat. "Just give me a few minutes."

"Sure, Narumi. Just going to sit here until you get back." I mumbled my eyes half closed and he smiled at me kissing the top of my head. He straightened and after he hurried away to grab a blanket and a pillow Raidou moved to my side, watching as I rubbed at my eyes.

"Sorry that Tengu caught you with his claws." He apologized and I just shrugged yawning louder as he stared at me. "Jean?" He said and I lifted my head offering a one-armed shrug as I tried not to fall asleep.

"I brought you a pillow, blanket and some painkillers. Thought you could use something for your side." Narumi told me as he headed my way and I managed to smile at his thoughtfulness. Once he knelt he put the pillow behind my head and after he handed me two tablets I took them ignoring the bitter taste when he spread the blanket over my waist. "There you go. How do you feel?" He asked me a few minutes later and I just smiled the pills easing the pain in my side enough to make me realize how tired I felt.

"Maybe we should call it a night?" Raidou suggested and Narumi nodded, stroking my hair as I leaned back my head pressed to the pillow. I barely remember anything else though I did hear someone leave as the morning sun came through the office window and I cracked open an eye to find Narumi standing near his chair, sipping at a coffee cup.

"Good morning, Jean. How did you sleep?" He asked as I struggled to sit, rubbing at my eyes as he strolled over. "You look a lot better this morning." He pointed out as he knelt in front of me and I cracked a grin when he kissed my forehead.

"I do feel better." I admitted, shifting over with a grimace before I gave the seat a pat and after a pause Narumi sat beside me. When I rested my head on his he draped an arm around my shoulders, giving me a one-armed hug as we sat side by side. "My hip doesn't hurt as badly as it did. Just a dull ache."

"That's good to know. You had me worried when Raidou brought you in bleeding and limping like that." Narumi commented and I raised my head when he kissed my head. "Still I'm glad Haruki didn't do anymore damage to you. I would have gone after him myself."

"Narumi, he's mine." I whispered and he raised an eyebrow at me once I lifted my head locking eyes with the detective. "He's caused me nothing but pain and misery since I came here so I need to stop him." I finished and Narumi blinked, surprised by the anger in my voice until he reached up and I blinked at him shocked into silence by my own voice.

"Jean, it's fine to be angry at him." Narumi commented in the silence that followed and when I finally let out a breath he raised an eyebrow. "Though I've never seen you get this angry at someone." He added with a faint smirk on his face.

"Haruki keeps getting away and even with Raidou's help we couldn't catch him. He just keeps escaping us and I'm getting so sick of it." I grumbled and Narumi slowly shook his head at me reaching over and I tilted my head when he gave my shoulder a light pat.

"Don't let it get you down, Jean. You'll catch him but right now you should rest yourself. Your wound isn't going to heal if you kept running around." Narumi pointed out and I let out a breath not responding until he leaned forward pressing his forehead against mine.

"Narumi, I hope you're right about catching Haruki." I whispered and he chuckled his hand reaching up and as he stroked my hair his lips curled into a smile. "You always know how to cheer me up don't you?"

"Of course I do, Jean. I wouldn't be a very good boyfriend if I didn't know that much." Narumi answered and that brought a faint smile to my face. "Now I'm going to get you some breakfast and a hot coffee."
