Me: Hello everyone! It's been quite awhile, has it been not? Sorry, a lot has happened.

A quick summary: took the liver procedure leading to respiratory failure then a coma, woke up about three weeks later, got another surgery on my leg resulting with a bad leg as nerve damage including my right hand (will take longer to update), physical therapy, and now my mother returned from staying at the hospital and I'm trying to take care of her.

So, that's what has happen...so far.

Anyway, end my summary and enjoy this long waited update.

After leaving the former Quidditch stadium, Regulus and the others headed to the Black Lake while Michael and Yuki stayed with Lorelei.

"So, shall we see what's inside?" asked Blaise.

Regulus and Astrid look over at the golden egg before shaking their heads. "I don't think that's…a wise idea," Astrid replied.

"Why?" asked Tracey.

"Well, judging by the design, it could be related to the Merfolk," Regulus answered. He looked over at Astrid, "What do you think?"

"I'm thinking the same thing," said Astrid, tapping her chin. She points at the top of the egg, "There's a starfish on top and it looks like there's a city design around the egg."

"Is there any Merfolk around here?" asked Kylee.

"I'm not sure," replied Draco.

"There could be. I mean there's a giant squid at the lake, so why couldn't there be mermaids in the lake too?" said Nyla.

"Well, open the egg underwater," said Lelouch. "Merfolk voices can only be heard underwater, but on surface, it comes out as a high pitch scream."

"Then, what are we waiting for? Come on Reg, let's go!" said Irving, pointing at the lake.

"I'll wait after the holidays," said Regulus. "I don't want to be the only one that solved it while the others are still figuring it out."

"How can you be so sure?" asked Millicent.

Regulus didn't answer, but rather opened the egg. The moment it was open, there was a loud high pitch scream coming from the egg. Immediately, Draco and the others covered their ears.

Regulus quickly closed the egg after a second even though it felt like more. "Does that answer your question?" he asked.

Millicent nodded, silently while rubbing her ears.

"Well, I'm heading to the Great hall. I'm starving," said Vincent and Gregory agreed.

"I'll meet you guys there. Need to drop off this guy at my dorm," said Regulus, holding up the golden egg. "And change my clothes. Anyone wants to come?"

"I do! And can I hold the egg?" said Nyla.

"Sure," said Regulus, handing her the golden egg.

"Just don't drop it," murmured Pansy.

Nyla sticks her tongue, "I don't have butterfingers like some dunderheads around here!"

"I'll go as well," said Draco.

Regulus nodded and the three headed to the castle. When they reached to the dungeons and entered the Slytherin common room, Regulus and Draco were on the ground with three familiar little girls on top of them.

"Big brother, I miss you!" said Lily, happily and hugging him, tightly.

"So, did you win, cousin?" asked Ashley.

"Miss you too and yea, I did," said Regulus. "Um, why are you three here? Aren't you supposed to be with…"

"Yes, but your sister and cousin wanted to see you."

Regulus, Draco and Nyla turned their heads to see Narcissa and Hilda sitting at the couches, both holding a book.

"How did you fare in the First task?" asked Hilda as Regulus and Draco got up from the floor.

"Great and tied in first with Viktor," replied Regulus then pointed the golden egg that Nyla was holding. "Inside in this egg there's a hidden message for the second task, but that's until February. I have time to solve it."

Hilda smiled, "I know you will and glad to see you're not too banged up. Going to change?" Regulus nodded. "Lillian, Ashley, let Regulus clean himself and then you two can eat lunch with him. Is that alright with you, Regulus?"

"It's fine," replied Regulus.

"And you don't mind taking your sister, Draco?" said Narcissa.

"I don't mind, mother," replied Draco.

"Just give me a few," said Regulus as Lily and Ashley let go of him. He ruffled their heads before taking the egg from Nyla and headed to the dorm where he shared it with Draco and Blaise.

Five minutes later, they headed to the Great hall but before they entered, Draco spotted Ron and Ginny walking to the hall as well. Ron was glaring at them as Ginny was dragging him.

Lily noticed, "What's wrong with him?"

"Just ignore the weasel," replied Nyla, coldly.

Serenity titled her head, "Is he the same weasel boy you always talk about brother?"

Lily giggled, "Weasel boy? That's funny."

"Indeed, but why weasel?" asked Ashley.

Before Draco could reply, Ron's face turned tomato red and marched over to them with his hands in a fist. "I'm not a weasel, you brats!"

"Oi, don't shout at my little sister and cousins, Weasel!" snapped Draco. Serenity and Lily were trying to hide between Nyla's legs while Ashley was behind Regulus.

"Why you – H-Harry? What are you dooooiinnggg – ahh!" said Ron as Regulus grabbed his arm and twist it to his back, pinning him to the ground, "Get off of me!"

"Never shout at my family!" Regulus shouted, angrily.

"Okay, okay I'm sorry! Now let me go, Harry!" Ron begged.

"Oh, please Harry, let him go," Ginny begged.

"Apologize properly and say my real name," said Regulus, tightening his hold. "How many times do I have to tell you that?!"

Ashely walked over to Regulus, "Can I freeze him?"

Ginny paled, "No! Don't! Please Har – Regulus, let him go! Apologize Ron!"

"I'm sorry Ha – Regulus! I'm sorry for shouting! Please let me go!" begged Ron. Frowning, Regulus let go and got up from the ground. Ron also got up while holding his left arm.

"Ah, I want to see Ash freeze him," Nyla whined.

"Don't start Nyla. Let's just go," said Regulus.

"Fine, spoil sport," murmured Nyla, crossing her arms.

Ron smirked, "That's right. Run away, you slimy snake! You're not even strong like your brother since it's clearly obvious he's an element user, not you."

Nyla gritted her teeth, "Shut up! I am strong! And I do have an element!"

"Really? Then what is it?" asked Ginny.

Nyla stepped back, biting her lower lip, "I…I don't…know…"

"Face it Aviur, you don't have any element magic," mocked Ron. "That's why your parents dumped you here because you're a disgrace to your family!"

Nyla widened her eyes while Regulus and Draco took out their wands.

"That was low, coming from you Weasley," said Draco, angrily.

"Take. It. Back," said Regulus, angrily.

Unknown to them, Nyla hugged herself as the words reminded her the comments back at Salem Academy. She knows it was all lies, but there were doubts that what Ron and the girls back at the academy said could be true.

Nyla took out her wand and pointed to Ron, "Jelly-brain!"

Ron widened his eyes as he couldn't cast the shield spell in time and was at the ground with a strange look on his eyes.

Ginny gasped, "Counter it! Counter it!"

"Why can't you," said Regulus, darkly. "Come on, the others are waiting."

-Unused classroom, Dec. 9-

Regulus and his friends were leaving from their Transformation lesson when they spotted Professor McGonagall heading towards them.

"Ah, Mr. Lestrange, may I have a moment?" asked McGonagall.

"What's up Professor?" said Regulus.

"I was to inform you that the Champions are to give the opening dance for the Yule Ball," replied McGonagall. "I've already informed Mr. Diggory."

"I see," murmured Regulus while his friends were laughing.

"Is there a problem?" wondered McGonagall.

"No, Professor, but Reg hates dances. Back at the academy, girls would go and beg to go out with him," explained Nadia.

McGonagall laughed a bit, "Forgive me, Mr. Lestrange. You remind me of your birth father, James. He was quite popular around the girls here and when he joined the Quidditch team, he's popularity rose."

Regulus laughed, "Yea, that's what Uncle Sev said and what Lily wrote in her journal. But…he wasn't genuinely nice, was he?"

McGonagall sighed, "Sadly, no, but it wasn't his fault."

"What do you mean?" asked Kylee.

"James was the only child to Fleamont and Euphemia…they were having doubts of having a child," replied McGonagall, sadly. "So, the moment when James was born, his parents – your grandparents gave him everything, treating him like a prince."

"Awesome," said Irving.

"No, it's not. That's bad parenting and made him a bully!" argued Astrid.

"You're right, Miss Thorstenson," McGonagall sighed, "James and his friends bullied and pranked many students, and some were horrible. One of them led a fallout to Severus and Lily's friendship in their fifth year."

Nadia and Kylee gasped in horror.

"Yea, Sev told me," said Regulus, sadly before smirking. "Which is why I had Sirius apologize with mom's help."

McGonagall eyes widened, "Did he?"

Regulus grinned, "Yup. Mom scolded them for acting like children and holding this silly grudge for such a long time and just get over it."

"Wand at hand?" McGonagall said.

"Oh yea. Dad have them talk and it appears that they had similar issues growing up…um," Regulus coughed, "I get this feeling that they're forming a prank for Dumbledore."

McGonagall paled, "Oh Merlin, if those two work together…I fear for Albus."

Regulus and his friends laughed.

"Well, best you all get something to eat," said McGonagall, leaving them alone in the hallway.

"I can't believe your birth father was a jerk," said Kylee as they headed to the Great Hall.

"We've met much worse. Don't you remember Adrian?" said Regulus. "How he gloated how powerful his element magic was? How he came from a powerful bloodline?"

"Oh right," Irving murmured, wanting to cast the arrogant element user to hell.

"I guess your birth mother did something to change his ways when they started dating," stated Nadia.

"Possible," said Regulus, but just as he was about to turn the corner, he ran into someone. Both fell to the floor, "Damn it. Sorry about that…oh, it's you."

In front of him, on the floor was none other than Ginny. She smiled, "Oh, um hi, Har – um Regulus. Are…Are you all heading to the Great hall for lunch? May I come with you?"

"Ah, no," replied Regulus as Astrid helped him up. He and his friends were about to walk away when Ginny grabbed hold of Regulus' arm.

"W-Wait! Please, I…oh – the dance!"

Regulus lifted his eyebrow.

"I can go to the dance as your date – as friends, of course!"

"You? My date?" said Regulus before he and his friends laughed. "Sorry Weasley, but that's never going to happen."

Ginny was going to grab Regulus' arm again, but Kylee stopped her, and Irving pushed her to the floor, again. The group continued walking until they run into Remus, Sirius and Lily, who was riding on Sirius' back.

"Why are you three doing here?" asked Regulus.

"Mom needed to talk to Uncle Sev," then Lily giggled, "So, she had Uncle Padfoot watch me."

"All yea heading for lunch?" asked Sirius. Regulus and his friends nodded. "Mm, I could use a little refuel…your sister has so much energy for a seven-year-old."

"That's why we fly or give her a ride on Ebony, my horse," said Regulus.

"Advice noted," Sirius murmured then noticed Regulus was a bit tense, "Hey kiddo, you look annoyed…all of you do. Did something happen?"

"Reg was notified that the Champions are to open the first dance for the Yule Ball," Kylee said.

"Then we run into that Weasley girl who told Reggie that she could be his date. I swear she must've hidden somewhere and overheard us," Irving continued.

"She was practically begging!" snapped Astrid.

"Not good," murmured Remus, remembering about the love and loyalty potions. He addressed to Regulus, "Be careful with your food at this point."

Regulus nodded, understanding why.

Lily frowned, "Date? But Reggie, you told me you were going to ask Daphne on a date if you had a chance this summer."

Regulus' face turned bright red while his friends, Remus and Sirius smirked.

"As in Daphne Greengrass?" Sirius leaned over to his nephew. "Having a little crush on the young Greengrass heiress?"

Regulus' face was dark red while his friends were laughing. His eye twitches, "Not helping!"

"Well, no need to fear, kiddo. You came to the right – ladies' man!" said Sirius, dramatically. Remus shook his head while Lily giggled.

"I have to go," said Regulus, quickly. He dashed to the Great Hall and his friends had to run after him as he walks fast.

"Was that really necessary?" said Remus.

"Aw come on, Moony. It's all in good fun," said Sirius then smiled, "Don't worry, I'm going to ask my cousin's help."

Remus sigh in relief, "Good. We don't want another repeat to what happen to Lily our third year."

"How was I supposed to know that Lily was allergic to those flowers?" murmured Sirius.

Young Lily giggled, "Let's go! Let's go! I wanna help!"

Sirius grinned, "You know, she reminds me a lot like Bellatrix when she was young. We had a lot of fun, before she was turned into that hateful pureblood heiress."

"Well, she is Bellatrix's daughter," said Remus before they headed to the Great hall.
