We go back to the main building once the sun starts setting and I quietly hold hands with Shoto again. Once we get there I see the picnic tables have stuff to make food with. Ragdoll and Pixie-Bob stand in front of us and Pixie-Bob says, "Now. Remember what I said? We're not serving your food anymore!"

Ragdoll continues, "If you guys wanna eat, you'll have to make your own meals!"

Pixie-Bob finishes, "Starting with curry!"

Us students say though almost all are downhearted, "Yes, ma'am."

Ragdoll laughs and says, "Oh, man, do you guys look exhausted. But that doesn't meant you can coast by making sloppy cat food."

Tenya says, "Oh! I see. An important part of saving someone recovering from a disaster is providing for their physical needs as well as spiritual. Ah! This is a great opportunity! Let's make the most delicious curry in the world, everyone!" I'm happy to see Tenya is happy though I don't think most share his enthusiasm but I for one love cooking.

The rest of the students say, "Yeah, okay," but they don't sound convinced.

I hear Dad mutter, "Thank you, Iida."

Shoto and I focus on getting fires going.

Mina all the sudden calls, "Hey, Todoroki! Cara! Can we get some fire over here, too?"

Sero turns to Bakugo and says, "Bakugo. Use an explosion to light that."

Bakugo says, "This is so beneath me!" But he uses an explosion despite what he said.

Tokoyami says, "Too much." And I look towards them to see Bakugo had destroyed that stove.

I turn my attention to Momo as she says, "Rely on others and you'll never learn to start a fire yourself. We should focus on acquiring new skills." Momo creates a lighter and starts theirs.

I hear Jiro say, "Ugh."

Shoto goes towards the stove next to Momo and says, "Here. Let me." Shoto makes a small flame in his hand and easily places it in the stove. I all the sudden feel slight jealousy that there could be something between Shoto and Momo but Shoto and I were dating and he'd asked me so I quickly pushed it to the side.

Ochaco jumps up and down and says, "Wow! Thank you so much!"

Mina says, "Burn, baby, burn!"

Ochaco says, "But not too hot, okay?"

Shoto stands and grabs my hand as we go help others. Once all the fires are started I help with cooking some of the curry but it's not a lot due to no one helping me but Shoto so it's only enough for me, Shoto, Dad, and Vlad. We finally finish with making the food when everyone says, "We did it!"

I eat mine quietly beside Shoto while I listen to everyone giggle and scarf down their food.

Eijiro says shoving food into his mouth, "If I got this at a restaurant, I'd send this crap back. But after today, I'll eat every bite."

Sero says, "Don't say that!"

Mina says looking at Momo, "Whoa, you're scarfing, Momo!"

Momo sighs and says, "Yes. My Quirk transforms lipids into brand new atoms to create inorganic materials. That means, the more I eat, the more I can make."

Sero says, "Like how poop works." I choke on my food at that moment causing Shoto to pat my back to help me.

Jiro punches Sero saying, "Apologize!"

Sero says quickly, "Okay, I'm sorry!"

People keep talking though Shoto and I are silent.

I hear Mandalay say, "Kota. It's time for dinner! Where are you?"

I watch as Izuku goes towards Kota out of the corner of my eye and hear him say, "Hm." He goes walking after him and in the distance I hear him say, "I heard that. You must be hungry. Here. I brought you some curry."

I get up and kiss Shoto on the cheek and say, "I'll be back."

I walk after them quietly and keep in the shadows to watch.

I see Kota stand and say, "No way! How'd you find this place?"

Izuku says, "Oh, sorry. I followed your footsteps. I thought you might want some dinner before it gets cold."

Kota goes back a little bit and says, "Whatever. I'm just fine. Get lost. I don't wanna hang out with you. So forget about my secret hideout."

Izuku looks around a little and says, "This is a secret hideout?"

Kota just says, "Hmph. Spending your entire life trying to improve your Quirk. It's dumb. All you want to do is show off. Get lost!"

Izuku looks down and says, "Hey, about your parents." He pauses as he looks up and continues, "I was wondering. Were they the Water Hose heroes? With the water Quirks?"

Kota gasps and gets angry somewhat and asks, "Did Mandalay tell you?"

Izuku gasps and says, "No. It's, um...Well...Sorry! But...I heard a little about what happened to them. And based on that information, I figured...I remember reading about that horrible incident a few years ago."

Kota turns a bit sighing and says, "Go away. Everyone here's so crazy. Calling people stupid names like 'hero' and 'villain', and then killing each other because of it. Always focusing on their Quirks. If they hadn't been showing off, they'd still be here. Idiots."

Izuku mutters, "It's not just heroes. Kota hates Quirks. And this entire superhuman society."

Kota says, "We're done here. Go back to camp with the other losers."

Izuku says, "Um. Hey. My, uh, my friend. This guy I know really well. He didn't inherit any abilities from his parents." I sigh knowing Izuku was talking about himself.

Kota says, "Huh?"

Izuku says, "It's a hereditary thing. And these days it's really uncommon. He admired heroes so much, and wanted to be one. Thing is, you can't usually become a hero unless you've got some kinda Quirk. But still. My friend refused to accept that, and hoped for a mirable. He tried to use telekinesis. And to breathe fire. But it was no good. There are lots of different ways to think about how Quirks work. So, we might not be on the same page. But I think that if you reject them completely, it's just going to make life harder. In so many ways."

Kota getting angry says turning to him, "Will you just leave me alone already? Go away!"

Izuku says, "I'm sorry. I guess I have a habit of rambling sometimes. Here. I'll leave the curry."

Izuku leaves the curry on the ground and starts to walk away. Kota steps back a step and sighs before saying, "Shut up. All of you. Just stop it." I quickly go back to Shoto and sit down so Izuku didn't know I was there.

Sitting with Shoto, I all the sudden sit up straighter with my eyes wide as I hear grunting from far away and then a female voice that doesn't sound like one of Class A or Class B say, "I do not like this. It's so not cute!" (Toga)

A male voice almost behind metal says, "They were engineered for the black market, from what I hear. You should be worried that they work, not that they look pretty." (Mustard)

I stand up and freeze again as the female's voice comes to me, "Ugh, I'm just saying they could be a little more stylish. Is that too much to ask?"

Another male voice says, "Hi, darlings! Sorry to keep you waiting." (Magne)

And again another male voice but this one sets my teeth on edge says, "Get to work. Get to work." (Moonfish)

I quickly walk over to Dad and bend to whisper in his ear, "Something's not right at all but I'm not sure what exactly."

I walk away back to Shoto as I can't explain it but it warns him.

A male voice I somewhat remember from a long time ago but huskier says, "That makes seven of us." (Dabi)

Another male voice says, "I don't care. Just let me loose. I'm too pumped up to stand by." (Muscular)

The voice I somewhat recognize says, "Shut your mouth, you crazy bastard. We wait. We're still expecting three more people to join our little party. The League of Villains made a mistake going after them with a bunch of random thugs at the USJ. Better to use a small group of elites. The first thing we have to do is take away their sense of peace and show them that their lives rest in our hands."

I shiver as Dad sends me into his room to sleep while him and Vlad talk outside on their table and then teach the remedial students though my sleep is really uneasy. When Dad comes in to sleep he sees me tossing and turning and has me move with him up in his bed so I can get sleep and hopefully not wake up the whole camp with my nightmares.
