I do not own Harry Potter or the Vampire Diaries (If you go on the cast chapter of my story -The Life of Anastasia Williams- you can find face claims for the entities mentioned in this chapter, or you could just imagine them yourself if you want)

Death had been summoned alongside his sister Life just as he was about to make his way back to the cinema now that everyone that needed to come had arrived, well except one, but he was working on that. It would take a while to put the pieces of his soul back together, his mistress might not like it but, oh well, it would be fun to see everyone else's reactions.

As he changed to his normal form, he thought about why he had been called, it didn't happen that often after all, but like every time, he had no choice but to listen so he appeared in the hall where the meetings usually happened. This would give his mistress enough time to reconcile with her father he supposed so there was something good about this.

He did not expect what happened to happen at all though, he had not really not. His sister was more ruthless than he had previously thought, and the worst part, Fate and Destiny sided with her.

"You can't do this." He shouted angrily as darkness spread through the hall and his shadows began to creep further up the walls.

"Calm yourself. It's for the..." Fate began trying to calm him down.

"If you say Greater Good, I will find a way to remove you from this plane even if I have to take myself with you," Death snapped angrily, his shadows having nearly engulfed the entire hall at this point as he glared at the three entities.

"Brother control yourself," Light demanded as she let out her light to calm his darkness but instead of them retreating, both light and dark clashed as Death glared at her in rage she's never seen on his face before, especially directed at her.

"If you kill the girl, you're dead to me Sister. I will destroy this entire plane or better yet, I will release him. You wouldn't want that would you? Because if Lucifer is awakened, there will be nothing but chaos. You all would have no meaning because he is more powerful than all of us combined. What would become of us then Sister? What would you do then? Now, I suggest you do as I say and leave my Mistress alone because you all know full well I will go through with this." Death said to them.

"The deed is already done brother," Life said just as he turned around to leave.

"What did you say?" Death asked angrily as he turned back around uttermost rage plastered on his face. He cocked his head for a second before he said, "You're lying. I can still feel her."

"Not for much longer brother. She is dying," Life informed him.

"You will reverse this right now," Death demanded.

"I cannot. It is not within my power brother. That girl should have been dead ages ago, her soul was supposed to belong to me when she was one years old but because of you're meddling, her life has been prolonged it for an extra 17 years. She cannot magically survive from this final attack, there is no possible way," Life informed him.

"Don't give me that bullshit. There's always a way. You will undo this sister, or I will raise this plane to the ground," Death said and his voice didn't even raise as he said that but the rage and promise in his words were heard by them all as he turned and vanished, his threat ringing in their heads.

Life, Fate and Destiny exchanged weary glances, knowing Death, he would do as he just said if they go through with their plan.

"What should we do?" Destiny asked the two of them. She cared for Death in her own way, they'd had a tryst in their youth and despite their break up because of numerous reasons, she still cared for him and didn't like seeing him like that.

"He has threatened our existence and everything we stand for, we must do the only thing we can." Fate said before he was cut off.

"If you say you will imprison my brother, you will have to open a cell right next to him for me," Life said angrily, daring him to even think of such a thing. They may not get along well but he was still her brother.

"Life, be reasonable, he..." Fate began to say until his sister cut him off.

"No, she's right. No one else appointed as Death can do a better job than he has done. Imprisoning him won't help anyone especially when he is right to feel this way. We have made an order to kill his chosen, what on earth did we feel when that happened to us? Especially since it has taken him longer than a millennium to find her. All of us have had ours but he was the only one who didn't. I remember how much I cared for my Darling, how much you cared for your Favourite and how much you cared for your Treasured. (Destiny's Darling, Fate's Favourite, Life's Treasured and Death's chosen) None of us have barely even smiled after their deaths." Destony said to him with a glare on her face as he looked down.

"We hated our parents for taking them from us, they didn't know how it felt because we were the only one's who were blessed with such a gift to have an eternal companion but they took them away from us, saying we got too attached or any other excuse they came up with just for us to live like they did, alone. They couldn't bare to see us happy so they stripped us of the one thing in our lives that brought us some semblance of happiness, out of jealousy or because they were control freaks, we never knew, but now our parents are no longer in rule. We are, we can choose not to follow their paths, we don't have to take her away from him. He only just got her after all and it would be cruel to take her away now. I mean, she's only lived 17 years whilst ours lived far longer, it just won't be fair brother." Destiny said trying to make him see sense, she had only agreed before because of her brother's persuasion but now she regretted her hasty decision. Just because she lost her Darling, does not mean she should make Death be alone forever. Unlike them he's got a chance at happiness, how could they strip it away from him like her parents had done to them. How would that make them any different?

"Destiny's right. My brother deserves this much after everything Father had done to him. He deserves happiness. I was wrong to do what I did, I was admittedly jealous, having never seen him so happy in a long time and I made a hasty decision that just might cost me my brother. I don't want this but I cannot undo what I have done without your permission, so please, let me do this," Life pleaded having realised the consequences of her actions.

"The girl is most likely already dead. We cannot do this, it would go against everything we stand for, we do not give life back to the dead, it's just unheard of." Fate said shaking his head but it was clear in his eyes he was unsure about his decision, he didn't want to go through with it himself. There was a deep pain in his eyes, clearly the reminder about his Favourite was hard for him and the worst part, they couldn't cross the plane that separated them from the afterlife, where the souls are taken after death. After Death's judgement, they are sent away never to be seen by them again. They could at least be thankful to the fact that their parents had sent them all to Heaven, at least they could have a nice life up there, even though they could never see them again.

"Wait, since she is Death's chosen, her soul cannot be sent to him to be judged so where would it go?" Life asked him curiously.

Fate suddenly looked up determination in his eyes as he said follow me and immediately a location entered their minds before they all vanished and appeared in an antechamber where a young girl stood crying wearing a pure white dress.

"Hello Little one," Destiny said softly.

"Hi," The adorable little blonde kid waved as she wiped her tears with her cute little hands. She looked to be about 6 years old.

"Hi sweetie, what's your name?" Destiny said crouching down to her level.

"Freak," She said looking up at her with tears flowing out her eyes.

"Now why would you say that?" Destiny asked anger in her eyes at the cute little kid thinking of herself as such, whilst the other two were trying to figure out where the girl came from.

"That's what Uncle Vernon and Aunt Tunia call me so that means I'm a freak. But someone called me something different today, he called me little star," She said feeling happier at that one than the other name.

"Little Star. That is much better. Now who was this person?" Destiny asked as they all realised just who this girl was. It was obvious now with all the information she had given, this was Jade Willow Potter Salvatore but why on earth was she a kid?

"He said his name was Damon and he was going to come and save me. I don't know why. Why would I need saving?" She asked looking up at Destiny curiously.

"Maybe he just wanted to protect you from your Aunt and Uncle, you did say that they called you a freak, that means that they're not treating you right and he wants to get you away from them," Destiny said softly.

"Does that mean I don't have to live with them now? They won't hurt me anymore?" She asked hopefully.

"Oh sweetie. Of course not," Destiny said before she suddenly saw the girl beginning to fade and she looked up at the other two in alarm knowing what this meant.

"What's happening?" The girl asked looking at her hands in fright and panic.

"Don't worry sweetie, Damon will come and save you, he will never leave you alone, he will protect you and he will always be there for you," Destiny said as she understood what she had to do. The girl had to hold on to something from her world, she needed an anchor. There was a reason Jade had been pulled here as her younger self, as someone who had nothing left to hold on to. That's why she was fading but she needed the girl to hold on and to do that, she needed to feel like there was something waiting for her back in her life otherwise she would only fade faster.

"He will?" The girl tilted her head to the side like an adorable confused puppy.

"Of course. You want to know why?" Destiny asked in a whisper as if to tell a secret.

"Why?" She asked whispering herself.

"Because he loves you," Destiny said watching as Jade's eyes widened in astonishment.

"Me? He loves me? But Uncle Vernon and Aunt Tunia and Dudley say that they hate me and everyone else hates me too, even in school. No one loves me," The girl said looking down and at that, her limbs began to actually disappear and Destiny began to panic now.

"Don't say that sweetie. You're so cute that it's impossible not to love you and Damon is no exception. He's going to adopt you you know, he wants you to be his daughter," Destiny said and then she saw some of the parts that faded away begin to form again.

"He wants to adopt me?" Jade asked looking up with hopeful eyes before they dimmed as she said, "But how do you know?"

"You know what happens to you when you're feeling happy or sad, strange things you can't explain,' Destiny said and Jade's eyes widened as she nodded shocked at how she knew. "Well let's just say that I have something like that too except because I'm older than you, mine is stronger, I can see the future and that's how I know what is going to happen."

"You can do it too?" Jade asked referring to the weird things that got her in trouble more times than she could count, things she had no control over.

"Yes sweetie, it's called magic," Destiny said smiling as the girl's eyes widened, her form beginning to get more noticeable.

"Magic is real?" Jade asked excitedly.

"Yes it is and you have that gift. You're going to grow up to be a beautiful young woman. There will be a lot of problems in your life, a lot of heartaches, and a lot of pain, but through it all, there is one thing that has always remained constant with you, and that is Damon. He adopted you, he loved you, and he gave you all the love any daughter could ask for. He just can't live without you because his love for you is so strong, so great, that nothing can compare to it," Destiny said hoping that what she was doing would work.

"Really? He loves me that much?" Jade asked a smile on her face as her near-translucent form began to gradually fill out until she looked more or less normal.

"Yes but unfortunately something has happened and now he's in a tremendous amount of pain, do you want to help him sweetie?" Destiny asked and the girl nodded frantically.

"Of course. I don't want him to be hurt, he's the only one who was kind to me," Jade said frowning at the thought of the kind man being hurt.

"Ok, then I need you to close your eyes and think about the man who was kind to you, everything about him, just carry on thinking about him and then I'll use my magic and send you there, ok?" Destiny said, but in reality, she wasn't going to do anything, she just needed the girl to wish to be with her father and hopefully wake up so Death doesn't lose it and actually go through with his threat.

"Ok," Jade said as she closed her eyes and did as she said. A few minutes later, she felt her vision get dark as the entities saw her vanish before their eyes.

"Do you think it worked?" Life asked hopeful but unsure.

"It has to because I don't know what we're going to do if it doesn't," Fate said running a hand through his air before they all parted, each one deep in thought as they hoped that Jade had made it back to her father.

Death's affinity for causing chaos and mischief was already hard enough to deal with so they refused to deal with the backlash of his rage.
